Store item document in DMS

Hi,
We have cProject documents  linked to DMS (different systems). Now we need when a document is created at item level is stored in DMS ( different systems). Is it possible?
Thanks,
Sara

Hi Experts,
Hi,
We are configuring the document storage in PPM through transaction OAC0, OAC3..
We want to store the attached document in the Porfolio Item.
Once we have configure the content server in OAC0, I need to fullfill the OAC3 transaction. Regarding to do it, I need to enter the object type (existing in TOBJB table, SWO1 transaction) but I couldn't find the corresponding standard object type for Porfolio Item (main table /RPM/ITEM_D).
Do you know which is the object type that I need to use?
In other hand, I have create a Z object type in SWO1. But despite I can enter it in OAC3 transaction, the system doesn't link the Porfolio item with it, that means that the configuration doesn't work and the documents aren't stored.
Do you know how to link the custom Z object with the real standard object?
thanks in advance,

  • ISO Document in DMS

    Dear Sir
I have to attached my ISO document in DMs with hierarch level
Apex document>Quality manual>Departmet Manual>format in this manner i want to maintain my document
    Awaiting foe your valuable answer.
    regards
    kunal

    Dear Kunal,
first of all it is necessary to create three document info records. This can be done in transaction CV01N. For storing originals I would recommend you to choose a document type which uses the KPRO storage concept. You can search for such a document type in transaction DC10 and check which type has set the flag 'Use KPRO'.
Back to CV01N. At the 'Document Data' screen you can add original files by using the 'Create' button at the bottom of the screen. This button looks like a white sheet of paper.
After you entered the document file path and choose a suitable workstation application the original file will be added to the document info record. If possible you can also add all three original also to one document info record if you store them in a KPRO storage category.
Otherwise you have to create one document info record per original file. If you have created all three document info records, you can go to transaction CV11 to create a document BOM. In transaction CV11 you have to choose one document info record which should be the header of this BOM. On the following screen you can add the other two document info records as items. This way a document BOM will be created.
In case you want to create a document hierarchy which is slightly different, you also need three document info records. But then you do enter transaction CV02N. In transaction CV02N you will find an area called 'superior document' on the first tab. Here you can enter one document number, type, part and version. If you enter a document here you create a hierarchy like
    Superior document info record
    > sub-document info record
And this can be done for each involved  document info record. But there can be always only one superior document for one document info record.
I hope this information could be useful for achieving the desired behavior.
    Best regards,
    Christoph

  • Best practice for securing confidential legal documents in DMS?

We have a requirement to store confidential legal documents in DMS and are looking at options to secure access to those documents.  We are curious to know.  What is the best practice?  And how are other companies doing it?
    TIA,
    Margie
    Perrigo Co.

    Hi,
The standard practice for such scenarios is to use 'authorization' concept. You can give every user to use authorization to create, change or display these confidential documents. In this way, you can control access authorization.SAP DMS system monitors how you work, and prevents you from displaying or changing originals if you do not have the required authorization.
The below link will provide you with an improved understanding of authorization concept and its application in DMS

  • Using Store Business Document on parked FI documents

When an FI document is parked the Store Business Document is not active. I have searched for config where this can be turned on, but I can not find anything. Is there a way to store atachments to an SAP document before it is posted? We are using ArchiveLink with FileNet on the backend to store the attachments. Thank you.

    Hello Ben
You can Link A document Created in SAP DMS to your FI Document ( Invoice ), Provided it is standard Object Provided by SAP. Ther is standard object available such as Material, BOM, PO,  PR, SO etc which you can link to a document in DMS.
I think you will have to do developement for this.

  • CHiP BSSP_ATTACHMENTS store business document

I added the CHiP BSSP_ATTACHMENTS to my custom web dynpro application.  I got it to work, but the attachments attach to the content server.  We want the attachments to go to the archive server (i.e. IXOS).  To do this manually, you would to the GOS menu and choose 'Store business document'.  I believe the CHiP is using the GOS menu item 'Attach' which stores to the content server (SAP database).
Anyone know how I can tell the CHiP to store to the archive server instead?
    Thanks.

    Hello,
For your requirement, you should have ArchiveLink configuration...
Below are the step you should perform for Late Document Archiving
    > Create Document Type and assign document class in transaction OAC2
    >> Assign Content Repository, Link table to your Business object type and document type in transaction OAC3.
After this you can perform Late document archiving in FB32 transaction with help of GOS = Generic object service.
Steps in GOS - Select Create > Click on Store Business document >> Select your document type and attach required image. This will help in storing incoming or outgoing documents for your business transactions in archive server through content repository assigned to document type.
Note: Above works if Archive Infrastructure in place & connected to SAP system. If not then directly you can attach the incoming and outgoing documents to your business transaction so that all the attachment will be stored in SAP database.
Hope this information will help you.
    -Thanks,

  • Add folder in Store business document

    Hi Experts,
We have the option to attach PDF, TIF, DOC and XLS files to an accounting document by clicking on services to object icon->Create->Store business documents. A window with a folder-"Accounting documents" comes up, under this folder is mentioned the file types (PDF, TIF, XLS, DOC)  which we can select and upload a document. Now we have a requirement to add another NEW FOLDER for Inter Company accounting document exclusively, under which PDF file types for ICO invoices, ICO payments etc need to be configured. How do we configure this new folder in store business documents?

  • Document in DMS can not be printed using FM CVAPI_DOC_VIEW

    Hi Experts,
We've been using FM CVAPI_DOC_VIEW in the program to get the document in DMS and set value of import parameter 'PF_APPTP' to 3 to make the document to be printed.
But after our system upgraded to ECC6.0, the document could not be printed, only displayed in the screen.
Could you please tell me anything has changed to cause the issue?
    Thanks for your time.

    I already found the reason.

  • Trading Partner for open item document prior to BCS implementation

    Dear Experts,
We have just introduced BCS in our company currently. One of the difficulties the user are facing is that the open item (many of them - thousand open item with different currencies and exhange rate) prior to the introduction of BCS does not contain Trading Partner. This ended up that the adjustment on the Trading Partner has to be done in BCS regularly. The amount in value of adjustment is not fixed - since there could be subsequent payment that will clear the open item.
I understand that TP cannot be changed once posted. Have read a lot in the SAP portal and forum.
Question: Based on your experience, it there a way that I can overcome this problem? Could SAP somehow allow TP to be assigned to open item document prior to implementation of BCS?
I hope I can get some answer, otherwise, our user has to diligently continue to put the adjustment until all the open items are cleared.
    Thank you.
    Regards
    Fauzi

    hi,
Check whether the document type you are using to post is allowed to enter the trading partner.
To check use the TCODe OBA7  and select the relevent document type. then select the check box enter trading partner under control data.
and also check the customer you assigned for that posting key 01 is got assigned trading partner in the master record or not(TCOD XD02/XD03).
    thanks.

  • Customer Open Items Document Details

I am building an application for a client for Purchase Card Processing using Visual Studio 2005. I am able to use VS 2003 to create the necessary object to get the Customer List, Customer Details, and the list of Customer Open Items.
I am totally new to SAP, and need some help to figure out my next steps.
    1. What call(s) will return an Open Item (Document) given the Document Number, along with the individual line items. With that info I can post a Level 3 transaction and get an authorization code.
    2. What is the process to post the purchase card authorization, essentially a payment, back to SAP for the open item.
    3. What is the best source for reference details on BAPI?
Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Thanks for the response,  but I have already madie it that far...   " I am able to use VS 2003 to create the necessary object to get the Customer List, Customer Details, and the list of Customer Open Items.
with the list of open items,  I get a  Bill_Doc.   What calls will return the details of the Billing Document?

  • ITunes account to pay for gift apps and Apple Store items

Is there a reason why i cannot use my iTunes account funds to pay for gifted apps and Apple Store items?
    it only make sense.

You can use your iTunes Store balance to purchase from the Mac App Store, but not from the Apple Online Store.
From http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4463, "Note: If you have an existing credit balance on your iTunes Store account, that balance will be shared across the iTunes Store and Mac App Store."

  • Check in new documents in DMS with specific access permissions

    Hi,
we have an RFC which creates new documents in DMS.
This calls one after another these FBs:
    - CVAPI_DOC_CREATE
    - CVAPI_DOC_CHECKIN
    - BAPI_DOCUMENT_CHANGE2 for a additional classification of the new document
Now we have a new request from our customer: to give the document specific access permissions.
    We try the following:
    - manually check in a document template with the necessary permissons.
    - the permissions are given in a classification  ("O,MW-T-D*,IB,02/03/52/53")
    - This is named "authority characteristic" and is checked somewhere else, I do not really know how this works in detail ( but it works)
    - check in a new document with a reference to the template and in expectation that the new document has the same classification and therefore the same access permissions
    - If I do this manually in CV03N is does work
    - We do this with CVAPI_CHECK_IN_WITH_TEMPLATE - but this FB does not copy the classification ( only the description and the attached original documents , and the documentnumber of the new document is an mandatory parameter which is not allowd in our case since we use internal creation of document numbers)
My question is: Is this a possible way to create new documents with specific permissions
Is there a possibility to give the permissions to the documenttype instead of give them to every single document of this documenttype ?
    Thanks
    Kerstin

My guess is that at some point you propagated the ACL entry for "everyone deny delete" to all your folders and sub-folders and their contents by selecting Apply to All in a GetInfo window. Try doing a search in the Leopard forums for
    ACL chmod
and you'll find a whole raft of discussions about the problem and suggestions for fixes.
