Strange Blue Border on rollovers?

I have just moved over to CS3 and was trying to place a
rollover into my table but DW keeps putting a blue border around
the cell in the table and throws off the table completely plus it
is still visible when I preview in the browser. I never had this
problem in other versions, can anyone help?

Previous versions of Dreamweaver automatically put border="0"
in the
<img> tag of images used as links. This is deprecated
code, so CS3 no
longer does it.
You have two options:
1. Select the image in Design view, and insert 0 in the
Border field of
the Property inspector.
2. Alternatively, create the following style rule in your
style sheet:
a img {border:none;}
The first option goes back to the old, deprecated code; and
it needs to
be done on every image affected by the blue border. The
second option is
cleaner, and is automatically applied to every image inside a
link in
your site.

    How can I get rid of the blue border that displays in Safari when I click on the Spry collapsible menu?  Also want to get rid of dotted border that displays in Firefox.  Any suggestions?  Thanks.

    Please take a look here http://webaim.org/blog/plague-of-outline-0/
    If, after reading the above, you still want the outline removed the add the following style rule to your document.
    ul.MenuBarHorizontal a {

    Have 14 sliced images. But only the images created for rollover have the blue border when I reveiw in the browser. Not sure how to remove them in Dreamweaver CS6

    Just to clarify, to remove borders from linked images, use this in your CSS:
    a img }
    border:none;
    Ouline serves a different purpose.  It's usually dotted and displays when the link is in focus, as when people tab through links with their keyboard.
    Jon, I know you know this.

  • Unwanted blue border in Acrobat

    I have imported a Flash movie into an InDesign document. I then export the document as an interactive PDF. The movie plays fine in Acrobat, but after playing a thin blue border appears around the movie area. Anyone know why or more importantly, how to get this to stop? Thanks!

  • I tried to upload photos to Costco photo and was unsuccessful, since then I can not open my Iphoto on my desktop. It appears but goes right to the dashboard. A blue border is also around the entire IPhoto. What has happened?

    As stated my IPhoto is not able to stay on the screen since I attempted to upload to Costco photo center. The Iphoto only appears if I hold the mouse down. Once I attempt to move the mouse it goes right back to the dashboard. Also, there is a blue border that appears.  Please help.

    Try trash the com.apple.iPhoto.plist file from the HD/Users/ Your Name / library / preferences folder.
    (On 10.7: Hold the option (or alt) key while clicking on the Go menu in Finder to access the User Library)
    (Remember you'll need to reset your User options afterwards. These include minor settings like the window colour and so on. Note: If you've moved your library you'll need to point iPhoto at it again.)
    What's the plist file?
    For new users: Every application on your Mac has an accompanying plist file. It records certain User choices. For instance, in your favourite Word Processor it remembers your choice of Default Font, on your Web Browser is remembers things like your choice of Home Page. It even recalls what windows you had open last if your app allows you to pick up from where you left off last. The iPhoto plist file remembers things like the location of the Library, your choice of background colour, whether you are running a Referenced or Managed Library, what preferences you have for autosplitting events and so on. Trashing the plist file forces the app to generate a new one on the next launch, and this restores things to the Factory Defaults. Hence, if you've changed any of these things you'll need to reset them. If you haven't, then no bother. Trashing the plist file is Mac troubleshooting 101.

    Check to see if you have this line in the margin area of your layout. If not, you're facing an issue in which case you need to contact Oracle Support.

  • How do i get rid of a blue border around an image

    Hey guys,

  • Strange blue color

    Hello
    shooting many events, I frequently have problems rendering strong blue colour. The blue comes from these new LED lights. In Aperture it gets magenta and is seperated from the natural looking surrounding by a unnaturally looking harsh border. I tried DxO 8 and capture One Pro 7. These don't show this error. Here is a screenshot of sample image rendered in 4 RAW Processors, including Adobe Camera RAW 3.4.3. Adobe Camera RAW has the problem too, but not so intense.
    Any idea how to avoid this? I didn't find a solution. Clicking o the image enlarges it.

    Hello Léonie
    thanks for your great help here! I appreciate any hint and your help is always detailed and well-considered. Yes I know these camera settings. Only the embedded Preview JPEG inside the RAW or any written fullsize JPEG is affected, but not the RAW itself. A change of this setting doesn't help. I don't use those settings at all, never changed them from standard neutral, because I don't use camera JPEGs at all.
    Aperture isn't able to see these high-saturated blue color in a natural way. These blues are totally off and there is no way to get them in the direction of the JPEG colors. With other programs the LED-blue looks nearly the same as in the camera JPEG, but not in Aperture. Now I tried to render the above image with the two LED-flood-lights with Capture One, DxO and Aperture. Here is the absolutly annoying result. I tried to solve it with the exposure slider, but then the blue became a strange magenta... Other controls don't help too. I think it is a problem of a too small working colour space inside Aperture and the way of rendering the extreme colors to get them inside this working space. Or it is a hopefully solvable bug. If you like I can send you the NEF and the JPEG to see it by yourself.
    Thanks
    Wolfram
    Has anybody else this problem? And perhaps knows a solution?

  • Strange image border / bright edges on full screen preview

    Hi,
    I'm getting strange image borders on full screen preview. I've taken a photo to show this effect. Its noticebly wider on the left and right edges compared to top and bottom. Anyone know how to turn this border off?
    http://www.oriontransfer.co.nz/Projector/IMG_2307.jpg
    I've often noticed it, but its become more of a problem because I've just bought a 720p projector to display some photographs. I think the low resolution exacerbates the problem.
    Regards,
    Samuel

    I've added one more image of the top right hand corner. I've boosted the contrast to clearly show the problem. This problem is not just on the projector, it can also be seen on my new MacBook Pro LCD screen.

  • Odd blue frames around rollovers in Firefox

    I get blue frames around rollover graphics in Firefox, but
    not IE or Netscape usually after they have been clicked. Some stay,
    others disappear. Any ideas what is causing this? All are jpgs and
    look to be lining up correctly.

    I know of a css correction that may help, though usually I
    see the same in IE so I'm not sure if this is the solution for you.
    Try adding this to your css:
    img{
    border:none;
    a{
    outline-style:none;
    The browsers add default outlines / borders. If you are
    seeing this only after the images are clicked, you might want to
    look into the css visited pseudo classes if you have set them for
    the site.
    let us know if this does not solve your issue so someone can
    help you troubleshoot further.

  • Strange JFrame border

    Hi everybody,
    This isn't technically a problem, just something weird going on with my JFrame that I don't quite understand. My JFrame has a JLabel added to the north panel, and a JPanel with 3 JButtons in a 3-column GridLayout added to the south panel. When the frame renders, the little gray default border around the JFrame is the same width all the way around, except for on the right side of the button panel, where it's a little wider, so it looks like the JLabel in the top panel is longer than the button panel. It's not really a big deal, but I was just curious, what could cause this to happen? I've never seen anything like this before.
    Any explanation would be great, and thanks!

    Ah, yes, the good old self-contained program. I was hoping we wouldn't need one this time, but I guess I should just make a habit of it.
    Anyway, here it is:

                   frame.setDefaultCloseOperation( JFrame.EXIT_ON_CLOSE );
                   frame.setLayout( new BorderLayout() );
                   frame.setSize( 700, 500 );

                   frame.add( label, BorderLayout.NORTH );
                   // Create button panel and buttons
                   JPanel panel = new JPanel( new GridLayout( 0, 3 ) );
                   for( int i = 0; i < 3; i++ ) {
                        JButton button;
                        if( i == 0 ) {
                             button = new JButton( "I" );
                        } else if( i == 1 ) {
                             button = new JButton( "II" );
                        } else {
                             button = new JButton( "III" );
                        button.setOpaque(true);
                        button.setBackground(Color.pink);
                        panel.add( button );
                   frame.add( panel );
                   frame.setLocationRelativeTo( null );
                   frame.setVisible( true );

    }I made the label and buttons colored so you can see the right border more clearly and see what the problem is.
