Streaming MP3 with flash

I want to stream a single MP3 file (could convert in to WMV
if needed) with a flash player which contains a pause/stop/pay
button with flash/dreamweaver.
Anyone know how I could do that?

  • Problem streaming MP3 with flash and IE7

    Ok, I have a big problem here. Only occurs with Internet
    Explorer 7 and possibly 6 too. Happens only on some systems, one of
    mine do that, I have 3 systems.
    I have a website that opens a window that streams a webradio
    from another website. The websites are not on the same server. When
    I first open IE, and click on the radio link that contains de flash
    file that loads the MP3 file to stream, it works. I close down the
    window, re-open the link, and it keeps loading (the little circle
    keeps rotating for ages). I have latest version (9.0.47.0) of flash
    player installed, like my other systems. If I close all instances
    of explorer and open the radio link again, it works ! But at the
    moment I close down the new window (there's another explorer opened
    at that moment), and open it again, it won't work.
    Seems to be either explorer OR flash to be faulty, I tried 4
    different flash player, they all do the same thing, so it's not the
    flash player (SWF file) that loads the MP3. Is there a solution? Is
    it a known problem??

  • Streaming MP3 with RTP

    Hello,
    I am trying to implement a RTP server and a RTP client, for that purpose I am using JMF, it seems to work good until I tried to transmit MP3 files. When I trasmit MP3, I get the next error message:
    Unable to handle format: mpeglayer3, Unknown Sample Rate
    Failed to realize: com.sun.media.PlaybackEngine@1700391
    Error: Unable to realize com.sun.media.PlaybackEngine@1700391
    Error in ControllerErrorEvent: javax.media.ResourceUnavailableEvent[source=com.sun.media.content.unknown.Handler@fa39d7,message=Failed to realize: input media not supported: mpeglayer3 audio]
    I have installed the mp3 pluging and I have used the AVTrasmint2 and AVReceive2 class with some modifications to try to solve the problem, but I can not solve it.
    I tried to use JMFStudio in both sides (server and client side) and I got the same error.
    -->failed to handle a data format change!
    I would like to add that I have used two differents computers (one for the server and one for the client) to make all the test.
    Could you give me some advise, help or solution for that problem? If someone has a solution(code) to transmit streaming MP3 using RTP and kown that it is running ok, could you show me?
    I am doubting if MP3/RTP is supported in JMF, If someone knows another alternative to implement a streaming MP3 audio server and client, could you say me what solution is it?
    Thank you very much, I expect that someone could help me.
    PD: Sorry for my english, I think that it is not so good.

    Hi I had the same problem but i manage to solve it.
    First of all you have to install the mp3 plug-in and as u mentioned that u already did that.Make sure the mp3plugin.jar file is inside the lib/ext of the jre you are using for your project and one imp thing is first register the plug-in by issuing the command
    java com.sun.media.codec.audio.mp3.JavaDecoder
    It will modify the jmf.properties binary file.Once your done with this put this updated jmf.properties file in your project folder.After this your code should run perfectally.In case of any problem.Post it.
    cheers

  • Stream MP3 with MP3 uppercase suffix

    Hi,
    I would like to check if there is a way to configure Flash Media Server(FMS4) to support media content suffixes used to stream MP3 content, e.g MP3 suffix in uppercase and not just the defualt mp3(lowercase).
    Thanks.

    The files in my storage are mp3 and MP3 extension, i want to play them both
    options. The play path is not indicating the suffix like FMS requires. The
    indication to stream mp3 is not based on the suffix, but on the type of
    streaming mp3:
    rtmpe://<ip:port>/mdfApp/mp3:<virtual path no suffix>
    So FMS added the file extension by itself to the path, which is mp3, so MP3
    extension files are not found

  • When streaming Vid with flash player, audio and video are not in sync

    With Flash 11.6, audio and video are not in sync. Video is slower. Using Firefox 20.0.1

    Recent crashes of certain multimedia contents (this includes Youtube videos, certain flash games and other applications) in conjunction with Firefox are most probably caused by a recent Flash 11.3 update and/or a malfunctioning Real Player browser plugin.

  • How can I stream video with Flash?

    Hi guys!
    I have a placeHolder MC in my main movie.
    Within the placeHolder is an external swf containing an mpg
    video.
    How can I code the preloader of the external swf to stream
    the mpg?
    Thank you very much and I hope to hear from you.
    All the best,
    Mark

    if you mean stream as in streaming video, you need the
    communication server.
    if you mean preload the file, you can do so with various
    components in flash.
    loadMovie
    Loader
    MovieClipLoader
    and more that escape my mind atm.

  • How to stream MP3s with embedded images

    When I stream an MP3 file with an embedded image, the first few seconds of the files are clipped.
    I will need to find another server, or a viable workaround.
    What is the best way to work around this?

    I have the same issue described by loris.guignard.
    The problem is not specific to the embedded cover. If I store very large text tags in mp3 (i.e. larger than about 130 kB), the same problems occurs. In addition, if the tags exceed the 130 kB limit, the duration of the song which can be played decreases.
    For my tests I use a 3:26 mp3 (8.25 mB) and the JW Player. The duration of the song piece which can be played varies as follows, depending on the size of the picture stored in the tags :
    - Picture size between 130 kB and approx. 600 kB => the song is played properly until 3:23. The last 3 seconds played (3:20 -> 3:23) are repeated from 3:23 until the end at 3:26. Note that the total duration of the song is correct (3:26).
    - Picture size : 750 kB => the song is played properly until 3:23, then it stops (the total time displayed is 3:26)
    - Picture size : 1.244 MB => same as above, but stops at 3:10 / 3:26
    - Picture size : 1.493 MB => same as above, but stops at 3:03 / 3:26
    - Picture size : 2.348 MB => same as above, but stops at 2:43 / 3:26
    - Picture size : 6.297 MB => same as above, but stops at 0:58 / 3:26
    The tags are ID3v2.3 compliant (by the way ID3v2.3 has no size limitation). The measures are the same when we use ID3v2.4 standard. It seems that the problem lies only in the size tags, not in the ID3 version or the tag content.
    The measurements are the same whatever the buffer length I choose for the client-side player.
    Let me make the following assumption: the end of the played song is evaluated according to offset from the beginning of the mp3 file (rather than from the start of the mp3 music data, i.e. from the end of the tags), modulo the buffer size used for reading the file (which must be 128 kB).
    For example, if we combine a tag picture of 4 MB and a mp3 of 8 MB, we have a 12 MB mp3. Since the tags are stored at the file beginning, when the server-side player reaches the middle of the song (at 4+4 = 8 MB), the reader believes that the reading is complete. But it remains 4 MB to read before the real end.
    Maybe the last seconds can loop or be truncated because of the wrong time adjustment between song duration evaluation and data buffer length. In my example, the mp3 bitrate was 40 kB/s. So if the file buffer size is 128 kB, it read... 3.20 seconds.
    Of course it is only a hypothesis, but I'm really intrigued by this problem.
    Can you please tell we how can we fix this ? Are there any configuration that we can change in the FMS side or maybe a patch ?

  • Streaming text with flash

    How do I stream text to a flash application?......i wish to

    Yes, that is what I meant. It's just not clear to me what
    exactly you are trying to do, you describe boxes and bigger boxes
    on the same page. If you are trying to communicate between two SWFs
    on the same page, try LocalConnection.

  • Online Streaming error with Flash Player....

    Hi there, I dont download files but I watch alot of foreign stuff online with English subtitles...there's a particular site that I go to and it asked me to download the latest Adobe Flash Player which I did, once I play the video, it tried to "load subtitles" and then I get an error message "fail to decompress Subtitles JSON. Cannot display subtitles" video plays fine though
    I've logged a problem directly with them and yet they have not replied...I use Firefox, is there something else I need to do?
    Hope someone can help.
    Thank you in advace

    Hi Mugetsu
    I've just tried the sites you listed above and they worked perfectly fine for me.
    I'm on Firefox and downloaded the latest version to Flash Player, I'm not an expert or anything but have you check your plugins to see if you have another player operating also?  I read somewhere online that if after you download the Flash Player and it's videos still don't work then you have to disable the other type player? I had a Real Player which I have now disabled...but as I say I'm not sure if that's even close to solving your problem, probably best to wait for the experts

  • How to realize MP3 with flash builder4 cutting

                Hi
                cutmp3.net this site online editing mp3,
         I want to ask what is the principle of it, thank you.
    http://www.cutmp3.net/cutmp3.swf

    We have some islands inside SAP that use dynamic tables.  You create the context dynmically just like you would for any normal usage within WD.  If you need help with that part, let me know.
    For the Island interface however, you still have to define al lthe properties of the DataSource via the interface.  We have used the WDDOMODIFYVIEW method to add the properties dynamically.  Something like the following code:
    loop at  lt_rich_catalog assigning <wa_rich_cat>.
          concatenate `SALES_DATA.` <wa_rich_cat>-colid into t_bind_value.
          condense t_bind_value no-gaps.
          concatenate `GACPROP` <wa_rich_cat>-colid into t_id.
          condense t_id no-gaps.
          lr_ds  ?= view->get_element( 'GACDATASOURCE' ).
          lr_ds_prop = cl_wd_gac_property=>new_gac_property(
               bind_value     = t_bind_value
               id             = t_id
               name           = <wa_rich_cat>-colid
               read_only      = ''
               view           = view ).
          lr_ds->add_property(
            exporting
              the_property = lr_ds_prop ).
        endloop.
    The only problem is that on the flex side you don't know what "columns" you might have in your ArrayCollection. We work around this problem by also passing a field catalot dataSource - basically just another context node binding - but each element describes one of the columsn in the dynamic dataSource.  This is very similiar to what you do when using ALV.

  • Who can tell me  flash media Flash Media Enterprise Server 4 (p2p) with flash access

    flash access support flash media Flash Media Enterprise Server 4 (p2p) ?

    Hi,
    Flash Access will work delivered via FMS over RTMP.
    Flash Access should work over an RTMFP client-server connection -- by default it's exactly the same as RTMP as far as functionality, unless you're in "live unbuffered" mode, which you probably wouldn't be for a client-server streaming scenario with Flash Access protection.
    However, if you mean "P2P multicast", then that is not a supported scenario.
    cheers,
    /Eric.

  • JMF mp3 compatible with Flash?

    Hi,
    I am trying to convert some wav files to mp3 on the fly so as to allow streaming of the mp3 files using a flash player. However, I have noticed that the converted mp3 don't seem to be compatible with flash. Some of the essential details are as follows:
    Input wav format: LINEAR, 8000.0 Hz, 16-bit, Mono, BigEndian, Signed
    Output mp3 format: MPEGAUDIO, 22050.0 Hz, 16-bit, Stereo, BigEndian, Signed
    Apart from the above mp3 format, I've also tried all the tweaking the sample rate, channels etc but none of the formats seem to be playing on the flash player. For conversion, I have tried using both the Transcode.java sample code as well as the JMStudio application provided with JMF installer. The mp3 files play out fine on other media players such as windows media player and on JMStudio as well.
    When I try to use Audacity to convert the wav file to the same mp3 format as above, there is a difference of about 2kb in the size of the files converted using Audacity and JMF, the earlier being the larger one. The version of flash player that I am using is WIN 9,0,124,0.
    Can someone please give an insight into what might be happening here. Thank you.

    The MP3 plugin contains a decoder only. JMF does not support MP3 encoding.

  • Flash Player 10.1 crashes accessing streaming MP3 from FMIS

    We used Flex Builder 3 to build a Flash-based streaming MP3 client which connects to FMIS.
    The client can be seen at www.radiospirits.com and click Listen Now at top-right of page.
    It has worked flawlessly for as long as we've had it, until now.
    As people upgrade to Flash Player 10.1, we are seeing many complaints of it actually locking up and crashing the browser.
    We have been able to reproduce this problem in Windows IE 8, as well as Mac Safari, and have had reports of crashes in other browsers and OSes.
    Rolling back to Flash Player 10.0 or earlier fixes problem.
    Using FMIS 3.5.4

    Hi, The only general information that I could give you is to try turning off the hardware acceleration feature, which is turned on by default. You right click any video, Settings, Display Settings and UN check the H.A. It has also been recommended to update the graphic and video drivers to the latest versions. If that doesn't work, then there is some other conflict on the system. Anti-Virus and or add ons in the browsers(s) Now this is assuming that Flash Player is Installed correctly, along with the IE and non-IE browsers that Flash Player supports.
    This site explains the hardware acceleration:

    Hope this helps.

  • Flash Streaming Video with Close Captioning

    Hello,
    I am trying to create streaming video using flash. I've
    already created the video and encoded as a FLV file.
    Two questions:
    1. I am currently hosting my streaming video on
    Playstream.com. How do I incorporate this video such that when a
    user views the content he/she will see a buffer bar loading as the
    video plays? A good example is on YouTube.com.
    2. I've aready created my close caption file and have it in
    xml format. How do I sync my close captioned file with the flash
    video?
    Thanks in advance.
    mdawg

    I don't know too much about how to capture both video and
    aplication monitoring moves at the same time.
    I do however want to warn you about a possible pitfall of
    making the presenter's video by recording with a digital cammera in
    front of a PC or TV monitor screen.
    The video from a monitor screen, taken with a digital camera
    comes out full of glitches and flashes. This is present the video
    in the monitor, and those used by the recording digital camera to
    capture the scenes. It's a synchronization problem and makes the
    video very unconfortable to watch.
    A wrokaround for this requires expensive and hard to come by
    equipment. To work around this, I would suggest to record a video
    of the presenter first. Have him or her read the script while
    standing or sitting in front of a fixed colored background. This
    helps to avoid distractions to the viewer.
    Review, edit and decide how you like the presentation video
    first. Create the video file, and then you can play it in a 2x2
    window on your PC monitor.
    Here is where my expertise stops.
    I don't know how or if you can then record the screen while
    manipulating and recording your application's CAPTIVATE file. Maybe
    it's possible to capture both windows at the same time side by
    side, but my point is that you need to avoid recording with a
    digital camera from a video monitor, it just doesn't look good.
    Hope this helps a little.
