Streaming Music needs to reconnect each time after viewing photos

I have 200Gb of music, so I stream this to my TV. Photos are obviously sync'd. However, to get to my photos, I have to go to the source menu, and choose TV (Since "Shauns Music" menu only says Movies, TVShows, Music, Podcasts, Settings and Sources. So I play
When I go back to Music, the connection is lost and I have to reconnect - i.e. I get "Loading Shauns Music". This takes 1 minute 15 seconds, which admittedly isn't that long, but when you have to waut every time you view photos and play music, it seems pretty unpleasant.
My iTunes and my TV are never off - isn't there some way I can "fix" the streaming connection?

I don't think it's an issue of the IP address. I think the behavior that is taking a long time is that it seems to be reading in the entire directory of your library in order to make subsequent browsing fast.
As annoying as the wait is, at least once it's over, it's very fast. You can scroll down an extremely long list of every song or artist and it accelerates faster and faster until you release the remote button at which point it nicely decelerates and stops.
I have a receiver that attaches an iPod directly with a special cable letting me scroll through its contents and select items via remote. At every selection point, there was a pause for it to load the next level. It couldn't scroll more than a few items before having to pause to reload. Now that was annoying.
It would certainly be nice if the Apple TV were smart enough to cache a library's contents, only re-loading if it's been changed, enabling a quick switch. Maybe they'll do that in the future?

As a Test:
Hold down the option (or alt) key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there?

Well then maybe I misunderstood what you meant even though now that you explained it again, I should have though about that.
When you leave the house in the morning with your device, you lose the connection to the library because you are no longer on the same WiFi network as you are at home. You have to be on the same network in order to use Home Sharing. Once you get home again, you have to select the Shared Library again.
I apologize for the confusion or misunderstanding.

Installing CC apps on 2 or more computers - need to download each time?

Is there a possibility to use or create local installations packets if I need to install CC apps on two or more computers? Or do I need to download each time?
I am on a Mac with OS X 10.8.4 BTW.

Does anyone have this patch or has access to it or any knowledge or idea as to where can i find this?Even though any of us has the patch we are not supposed to mail it as this violates Oracle support agreement policy.
There is no other source to get the patch and most Oracle patches (if not all) can be downloaded from MOS website.
As a back up i've started downloading Oracle apps for a windows server machine as well, in case i am unable to download this patch at least i have a back up. And the bad thing about this is the fact that i am in India and the bandwidth here sucks even with a 2 MB plan. With these speeds this 50 GB download will take another 3 to 4 days. And time is of the utmost importance for me right now..
Any help or suggestions will be much appreciated..We cannot suggest anything about the download speed or the timing, and even if you had a CSI number it would take 3-5 days to get the Media Pack in case you log a SR and ask Oracle support to send you the pack.

Request: script to stream music for given amount of time

I'm looking for a bash script (or anything that will get the job done) that will:
-stream music from my favorite internet radio station (ie: di.fm)
-play stream for a given time in increments of 1hr (ie: 1 hr, 3 hrs, etc)
-at the end of the given time, fade out the music then terminate stream after fade out is complete.
-terminate script (or application that is performing these tasks)
Ideally, the script will take in the internet radio station and time as arguments. I have Rhythmbox which I currently use to stream. I don't care if the script opens applications for use in this process. Can anyone help me with this? Or at least get me pointed in the right direction?
PS: I plan on using this as my music to listen to while I'm trying to go to sleep, hence the time limit and fade out. If the music stopped abruptly I would most likely wake up.

I know in mplayer, you can do most of that.
For example, running this from console will play Lounging Sound radio for exactly one hour;
mplayer -endpos 01:00:00 http://67.159.44.146:8002/
I'm not sure about the fade out effect, you might have to Google for that information. I'd recommend the 'mplayer-svn-nogui' package in AUR (or check out the one here) if you decide to go this route.
Oh, you might want to check out MPD too... it could possibly do something like this.

Firefox 3.6.8 on Windows XP crashes each time after it is opened. It remains open for about 1 minute and closes regardless of the page it is on. Windows Expl is having the same problem. I have a submitted a crash report each time w/same email.

I have sent a crash report each time with my hotmail address. That should include the specifics you are looking for. I am sending this email from personal laptop so I do not have those specifics at this time.
Using ccleaner and Macafee I have run scans and can detect no virus or malware.

Streaming Music from my PC to IPad: After activating Home Share on both systems, where do I view the music that is on my PC, from my iPad that I want to stream?

I thought Steve kept thins simple, however I am trying to stream music from my PC to my IPad.
As simple as I thought intellectual programmers would have made things for users, it seems I should have studied rocket science.
Please Help: Home Sharing has been activated on PC and IPad. I now want to view my music on my PC from my iPad and choose what I want to listen.
Please guide me through the process.

ITunes has cut of an entire album of music at 3:00 each time, before song has finished?

I have recently added some music into my iTunes (Not bought from the iTunes store). It is off a DVD concert, where there was no audio album to buy. I converted the music to mp3 audio by using the program 'Xilisoft DVD Audio Ripper'. The song tracks are all recognised as seperate files, as are the individual song titles. After I downloaded the files into mp3 format, I clicked and dragged them into my iTunes. They were recognised immidately (including artwork) but as they played through, each of the 22 songs stop at 3:00 and don't continue any further. I have tried re-downloading which doesn't work, and I am unsure as of what to do next. Some of the tracks have a running time of 6:20 - but iTunes has made it so they only have a running time of 3:00. Is there any way I can fix this issue? If there is a detailed discription would be great, I am not entirely used to dealing with computer/iTunes issues.

This can take quite a while depending on how many songs you have in the album, but it should work:
1) Right-Click on a song with the problem
2) Click the 'Get Info' option
3) Then click the 'Options' tab
4) Uncheck the box next to 'Stop Time'
5) Then click 'OK'
6) Repeat process for all songs with the problem.

Connot get it to accept cookies; privacy settings are re-set each time after I change them. How can I get the privacy setting to stick and accept cookies?

I need to accept cookies to log into a technical site. I clear all cookies and the history and follow the instructions for setting privacy options to "Use custom settings for history" and to accept all cookies. When I go back to try logging into the site, it still tells me cookies aren't accepted. When I go back to Options-Privacy, the setting has been changed back to "Remember history" from "Use custom settings for history". I have done this about 5 times, trying various options, closing Firefox after making the change and starting it again - nothing works. How can I get the privacy settings to stay as I set them and accept cookies?

Blocking all cookies in Safari does not work. Deleted cookies will not stay deleted. There are numerous threads on this going back years, both in these forums and elsewhere. Many claim to have submitted the issue to Apple, but I have never seen anyone post a reply.
I have seen many suggested fixes that involve finding the cookies file, some including Terminal manipulations, and none seems to work universally. I can find noplace where Apple addresses this officially with an actual Apple-approved explanation or how-to.
Bottom line, your browser's security features should do what they claim: delete cookies. When they come back without ever even visiting another page, this is clearly not working in the way a reasonable user would expect.
Bottom line, Safari does not protect users' privacy in the way it pretends to and, after so many years of this issue, it appears that Apple wants it this way.
Having spent way too much time on this, I realize the choice is between Safari which is pretty well optimized; Firefox which is a lot pokier, at least for me; and Chrome, which I assume funnels personal information directly to Google.

HT1414 i give up. ive tried to update my wife's iphone. each time after an hour or two, i get a message that it is cancelling the backup. it wont update.

well, i finally made it thru the maze that is apple security, matched all the password rules, and never using the same password twice only to be shut down again when i tried to update my wife's iphone. after two hours i get a message that says its cancelling the back up. No other messages or errors or anything. Just cancelling the backup. This has happened consistently 5 times.
Do these updates work for anyone?
What is necessary.

The update requires approximately 3GB of storage space.
Tap Settings > General > About
Swipe down. You'll see: Available
If it's less than 3GB's you need to delete apps, photos, etc to free up storage space in order to udpate to iOS 7.

Suddenly I do not could reach my Time Capsule...??? I can surf on net, but I could not stream music with Airplay and my Time Machine could not either take back up!? What is wrong?

Power down everything in the network.. start up in the correct order..
Modem.
TC
Any other network devices.
Computers and clients.
Everything needs a couple of minutes to get running before you start up the next part.
If it doesn't fix it.. we need a whole lot more info.
What Modem? Is it a router?
How is the TC setup? How is it connected to the modem?
What are you using for airplay?
We need full details on every part of the network.. otherwise we have no way to help.

Sy-tabix showing different value each time after ENDLOOP stmt

when i am executing my program its having one loop statement . after finishing that loop
below the Endloop statement.
sy-tabix some time showing 1 and some time showing 2.
why its chaging its value

As per SAP online help on [LOOP statement|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_470/helpdata/EN/fc/eb381a358411d1829f0000e829fbfe/content.htm]
When you leave the loop, SY-TABIX has the same value as when you entered it.
So the value you are seeing in Sy-tabix after endloop is because of some internal table operations before the starting of that loop.
You can check this by comparing the sy-tabix value before first Loop pass and after last loop pass.

HT4847 my iphone says that an icloud backup has not been completed in 2 weeks , but I have tried several times to complete a backup, & each time , after a certain amount of time where it says it is 'backing up", it then says "the last backup could not be

My iphone says that icloud has not been backed up in 2 weeks...but after several attemps to back up, it continues to say "the latest backup did not complete"...I did have the phone plugged into my computer & connected to wi-fi..and it was locked...any idea why it won't complete the backup? it says total storage is 5.0 GB & available is 3.3 GB

Welcome to the Apple Community.
You might try a forced shutdown to begin with, hold down the top and home buttons together until the device shuts down, then restart it.
First check that your device is correctly connected to the wifi/internet (settings > wifi)
If your back up continually fails, you might try turning off back up on your mobile device (settings > iCloud > storage & backup) and then deleting the backup file from iCloud by swiping the backup file on the mobile device (settings > iCloud > storage & backup > manage…) and then turning back up on again.
If this doesn't help, try turning off some items for back up in a pattern to try to establish if your problem is being caused by specific data on your device.
Being able to back up to the cloud can be very useful, especially if you don't have access to a computer or have infrequent access to one, however unless you specifically need to use iCloud for back up, you will find backing up to iTunes significantly more convenient and possibly more reliable.

WRT300N v2 needs power cycle each time the wireless pc is booted

ok. WRT300N v2, hardwired to network, no internet access on it (thats done through a dlink 504t), no dhcp on it (thats done with win 2k3 server).
Just your bog standard wireless access point.
No problem setting up the router. really easy.
Removed the internal NIC from a desktop PC and added the WMP300N
powered on the pc, couldn't find the router.
noticed that the router had dropped the hardwired networking. so. powercycled the router.
tadaa, the wmp300N pc found it. so, configured it, tested it, all 100% fine. can see entire network, access internet etc.
problem :-
Everytime the WMP300N pc is rebooted/turned on, the router bombs out and has to be powercycled.
Currently only 1 pc connected. eventually there will be 5.
imagine the hassle in a 50 workstation office.
Have looked for a firmware upgrade (none for v2 yet).
I have no ideas.
Will wait 1 week, before this kit all gets sent back under the 28 day unsatified customer act.

I also Have a problem with the wrt300n-v1 , besides the one you discribed . my second computer has the matching card for wireless communication
( watch out With Customer service ) I called because set up does not reconize ip address , wont communicate with each other , they put me on hold for 15 minutes ,come back and give me a tech 2 ,this wizzard is supost to know everything and he helpes me for 2 houres and we still get know where , then tech support tech2 says he will get me supervisor , supervisor gets on phone ,apologizes and says , hey will put me through to head tech ,so after 2 1/2 hours on the 1 800 line , im a little excited to get this fired up , he puts me through to head tech and the phone is buisy and hanges up on me !!!( wow what a let down ) next day i call we staart over no tech never left a note that i called , while talking to a supervisor ,i gave him all the names of tech 1 and tech 2s and even supervisiors , He appologized and said , i will personally make sure we get your problem fixed in 45 min or under thank you verry much !!! He now Gives me to his Head tech ,We muttel through the same problem 1st Mentioned ,then we tried to fire up my card on win xp desk top for wireless connection after 2 houres , im getting a little frusterated ,now he says go to my cd rom and he will send me a (new) Driver ,and this will fix everything , well he sent ,i followed and (walla ) ,Nothing same senereo . Well 2 3/4 hours later he said , on recording call man i have to get some one to write a new driver for this problem , . Now Supervisor listens to whole coversation and appoligizes and says a tech will get back with me via email within 24 houres ,( He Assures me and again appologizes) well its been 33hours and no response on new driver , i also asked for owner of linksys to get back with me ,so major problem can be worked out !!!! but no response

Losing library of music as i sync each time

every time i sync my itunes with my 3G i look and see that my entire library is not there
am i doing something wrong
it was there
can't figure this out
maybe 1/8 of my library appears
i go and sync again and it finishes and does not have all my checked choices
any ideas out there?

On the summary tab, uncheck "manually manage"
On the music tab, check "sync music" and choose "all songs and playlists"
If, like me, you buy the video from itunes and use that for the song -
...(it doesn't play video if the screen is off)...
- then check "include videos" also
Now sync. It should place all checkmarked songs on the phone.
If you don't have enough space for all songs plus photos / tv shows / movies etc it asks about deleting songs / photos to make space. I answered yes, and have learned that when it chooses which songs are deleted it keeps songs that are in a playlist and dumps songs that are just in the main population. I think it also dumps lower-rated songs before dropping higher-rated songs - but I'm not sure.
One final note. It will also keep a buffer of free space for normal operation. If you fill it up to zero space free, it will have problems just like if you fill up your desktop machine's drive.
