String concatanation for a property of a jsf tag

i want to form a string for a property of tag, there is a string for this, and other string will be added to this string conditionlally.
<code>
<h:graphicImage rendered="true" url="#{sonuc.personelGrubu eq 'I' ? '/home/oracle/ik/images/ozluk/isci/' + '#{sonuc.slcno}' + '.jpg':'/home/oracle/ik/images/ozluk/memur/' + '#{sonuc.slcno}' + '.jpg'}" width="40" height="40" />
</code>
i think "+" operator is for adding numericals.
How can i add a string to a string in jsf pages?

In the jsf page, you can just put the strings next to each other and it should work. You should be able to do the equivalent of this:
<h:outputText value="Customer Name: " />
<h:outputText value="Your name is #{customer.firstName} #{customer.lastName} #{customer.suffix}" />
You don't need to use any dashes or plus signs in the actual JSF page. This has always worked for me.

  • Building JSF tag using existing Tags

    Hi all
    I wonder if it's possible to create a new JSF tag using existing JSF Tags?
    For example, I have a JSF tag which renders a lable and a textinputfield, let's call it <f:field>
    Now I want to build a new JSF tag, which will re-use the existing tag <f:field>. IS it possible?
    Thanks in advance

    Did you have a chance to look at facelets solution. Facelets provide several approach how to create composition components.

  • Reposting ! string concatanation not working in java

    hi I am using the following code to construct a string and i see that it seems that the correct string is made but the application does not run
    if i just cut n paste the same string into command prompt it works fine . please advise :
    also note iam costructing string in two way , but using stringbuffer and by using , but both ways dont work.
    If the parameter is just one word for example say "Testing" then the shell command works fine which tells me that the string concatanation is not working or embedding some special chars?

  • Content repository - Multiple unrestricted ordering issue for a property

    Hi there,
    I have a problem in terms of getting the correct ordering for a property that I have defined in the BEA Content Repository. Does anyone know what can be done?
    Below is a description of what I am doing. I hope someone can help me order the vector returned or advise me on a better way on doing this. Thanks for your help in advance!
    Andrew
    Description
    In the BE Content Repository, I have set up a type with properties set to "Multiple Unrestricted" and of Data Type "String". Basically the entries for this property will be used to fill in a table on my HTML page.
    e.g.
    column_1 Multiple Unrestricted String
    column_2 Multiple Unrestricted String
    column_3 Multiple Unrestricted String
    column_4 Multiple Unrestricted String
    What I am planning to do is fill this in for say the weather. Column 1 will be the city name, column 2 will be the temperature, column 3 will be another city name and column 4 will be the temperature.
    e.g.
    Column 1 | Column 2 | Column 3 | Column 4
    =========================================
    City 1 | 12-20C | City 2 | 14-19C
    City 3 | 20-25C | City 4 | 25-30C
    City 5 | 5-10C | City 6 | -10-5C
    and so on...
    So for the defined content item I have entered in the following:
    column_1 >> "City 1", "City 3", "City 5"
    column_2 >> "12-20C", "20-25C", "25-30C"
    column_3 >> "City 2", "City 4", "City 6"
    column_4 >> "14-19C", "25-30C", "-10-5C"
    However when I reference the content item in my HTML page, the ordering in the returned vector is totally different to the way in which i entered the data into the content repository...
    I access the information this way:
    <cm:getProperty resultId="vect_col_1" node="<%= content_node%>" name= "<%= RepositoryProps.COLUMN_1%>" isMultiple="true" resultType="String" />
    Thanks for your help!

  • Custom toJSON() method is not called for each property

    I'm getting familiar with JSON in ActionScript 3 (FP 11), and experimenting with custom toJSON methods. The Developer's Guide section on Native JSON Support clearly states:
    JSON.stringify() calls toJSON(), if it exists, for each public property that it encounters during its traversal of an object. A property consists of a key-value pair. When stringify() calls toJSON(), it passes in the key, k, of the property that it is currently examining. A typical toJSON() implementation evaluates each property name and returns the desired encoding of its value.
    However, both the subsequent examples on the very same page and my own tests indicate that, on the contrary, toJSON() is only called once for the whole object, and no argument is passed for k. Take the following trivial class:
    public class JSONTest {
        public var firstProperty:int = 1;
        public var secondProperty:String = "Hello world";
        public function toJSON(k:String):* {
            trace("Calling toJSON on key", k);
            return this[k].toString();
    According to the documentation this should cause the following to print:
    Calling toJSON on key firstProperty
    Calling toJSON on key secondProperty
    And the output should basically be the same as without a custom toJSON method:
    { "firstProperty" : 1, "secondProperty" : "Hello world" }
    Instead, this just throws an error because nothing at all is passed as k.
    So, is the documentation wrong and the engine is not supposed to call toJSON for every property, or is the engine incorrectly only calling it once?

    I just figured out what the documentation means. k refers to the name of a property to which the entire instance being stringified is assigned, not to the names of the properties of the instance being stringified. An example is much clearer:
    var wrapper:Object = { prop1 : 1, prop2 : new JSONTest() };
    trace("Stringify result =", JSON.stringify(wrapper));
    Prints:
    k:String = prop2
    Stringify result = {"prop2":{"firstProperty":1,"secondProperty":"Hello world"},"prop1":1}
    So k is the name of the property on wrapper, not on the JSONTest instance. When stringify is called directly on an instance of JSONTest, k is empty because the JSONTest instance is not assigned as a property of another object, it is just all by itself. Either way the value returned by toJSON must be a string or object representing the stringified form of the entire instance.

  • Problem in using SPEL for Required Property

    Hi,
    While creating a Application Properties View Object PVO
    transient attribute for the required property item what should be the type while using Boolean Iam facing issue
    If any guidense related to SPEL for Required Property it would be helpful
    Regards,
    Krishna

    Hi Reetesh,
    I Haven't got your point clearly.
    I have created a Transient Attributes VO (PVO) with three attributes.
    RowKey Number
    itemRender Boolean
    itemRequired String
    Now My problem is Iam able to make the itemRender feature but not able to see any change the itemRequired Attibute
    So my problem is PPR is working fine for render property but not for required property
    is there any exercise in Tutorial any body came across setting the Required property using PPR. Please metion so that I can refer for more clarification.

  • Creating cache for multiple property files run time/dynamically.

    Hi,
    I have a requirement, where in I need to create cache for each property file present in a folder at server side or in the lib or resources directory. Please help me how I can do this?
    Thanks.

    ok thank you.
    I follwed this method implementation:
    static HashMap<String, HashMap<Object, String>> cacheHolder = new HashMap<String, HashMap<Object, String>>();
         static HashMap<Object, String>[] cache = new HashMap[2];
         static Integer fileCount = 0;
         static int incrementSize = 2;
    public method1(Map<Object,String>map){
    File file = new File((new StringBuilder(
                             "ABC/XYZ/")).append(value)
                             .toString()); // where value is the file name returned from the external method
                   int newSize = existingMapLength+incrementSize;
                   if (someVal== null) {
                        synchronized (fileCount) {
                             int oldSize = cache.length;
                             if(fileCount==cache.length){
                                  HashMap[] oldData = new HashMap[oldSize];
                                  oldData = cache;
                                  cache = new HashMap[newSize];
                                  LOGGER.info("New Size added:==>"+cache.length);
                                  for(int i=0;i<oldSize;i++){
                                       cache[i] = oldData;
                                  cache[fileCount] = readExternalPropertiesFile(file); // external method which returns the properties of the file in hashmap
                                  cacheHolder.put(value, cache[fileCount]);
                                  keys = cache[fileCount].keySet();
                             else{
                             cache[fileCount] = readPropertiesFile(file);
                             cacheHolder.put(value, cache[fileCount]);
                             keys = cache[fileCount].keySet();
                             someVal= cache[fileCount];
    fileCount = fileCount + 1;
    Please let me know if any improvemnets are possible.

  • Problem cf10 installation xml error - Conflicting values for output property method

    We just completed a ColdFusion 10 installation on Windows Server 2008 R2. After taking care of some configuration issues, we're now faced with a problem that we can't figure out. Searches on Google for the error returned almost nothing.
    The error occurs when xmltransform is called in a CFC file. The error we get from CF is:
    An error occured while Transforming an XML document
                 Failed to compile stylesheet. 1 error detected.
    It's not very helpful. In the coldfusion-error.log file, we have this entry:
    Error at xsl:output on line 2 column 193
      XTSE1560: Conflicting values for output property method
    Anyone have any ideas how to fix this? Is it something simple that we overlooked, or a fundamental difference in the way CF10 handles xmltransform?
    Thanks,
    Jamie Carter

  • Open module for managing property file and environment variables

    Looking for an open module for managing property files and environment variables (like CLASSPATH) set in a shell script. For handeling properties (preserving comments, supporting includes, appending new entries, and more) I have looked at SuperProperties from openadaptor but find certain functionality lacking. As for interfacing with common shell scripts/files containing setting for CLASSPATH, JAVA_HOME, other system/application variables another type of object editor is needed. Maybe JFIG?
    Any ideas are greatly welcomed.

    You seem wright, you hit a brick wall here with Air to find the location
    of the command console on windows...
    So in fact I never build an exe tool, but this little problem was a nice
    case to test it and I tried it.:
    I downloaded monodevelop
    -GTK# for .NET 2.12.10*
    -MonoDevelop 2.4.2*
       from http://monodevelop.com/Download
    created a console project and had an exe in 5 minutes !
    You can download the findconsole tool and the projectfiles here:
       http://greencollective.nl/temp/dump/findconsole_monoproject.zip
    findconsole.exe will reveal the path/location of cmd.exe on a windows system.

  • How to fix "no valid 'aps-environment' entitlement string found for application"?

    I am trying very very hard to create a simple simple iOS app which can recieve push notifications.  My only reason for doing this is to establish a procedure for some other team members to use.  Our shop is fairly new to iOS dev, I personally am completely inexperienced with iOS dev and Xcode.  I've stumbled through tens of tutorials, articles, and trouble posts from Apple and elsewhere and I feel like I'm nearly there.  Here is where I've got to (note I'm using Xcode 4.3 and trying initially to deploy just to iOS 5.1, and I gather that some things may have changed recently vs earlier versions of Xcode, but again I'm new to all this -- and finding it completely confusing and convoluted):
    1. I've got a provisioning profile on my iPhone which has Push enabled
    2. In my test Xcode project I've got that provisioning profile selected as the signing identity (in Build Settings > Code Signing)
    3. I've got my bundle identifier under Summary and Info > Custom iOS Target Properties set properly* (I think??)
    4. I've got registerForRemoteNotificationTypes being called in my delegate's didFinishLaunchingWithOptions
    5. I've got didRegisterForRemoteNotificationsWithDeviceToken and didFailToRegisterForRemoteNotificationsWithError in my delegate, set up to log the device token or error respectively
    6. I've got Enable Entitlements checked under Summary.
    7. Right below that the Entitlements File selected is Tinker6 (the name of my project), which was generated automatically when I checked Enable Entitlements
    8. In the Tinker6.entitlements file I've got the following (which I've gathered is correct based on several different posts all over the web, but which I can't find anything definitive from Apple itself on):
    When I attempt to run this on my device, I get the following error in Xcode output:
    2012-06-11 12:45:23.762 Tinker6[13332:707] Failed to get token, error: Error Domain=NSCocoaErrorDomain Code=3000 "no valid 'aps-environment' entitlement string found for application" UserInfo=0x24a3b0 {NSLocalizedDescription=no valid 'aps-environment' entitlement string found for application}
    I've tried setting get-task-allow to NO, aps-environment to production, all four possible combinations, same thing.
    How can I get past this?  Where is definitive documentation on this?
    -- further background follows --
    *As far as the bundle id, I am still not clear on how this should be set in relation to App Ids and Profile ids in the Provisioning profile.  In the Provisioning portal under App Ids I have this (I've scrambled the number and domain but otherwise structurally will be the same):
    And the two places bundle id is set I have this:
    I am not at all sure these are correct or whether one or both should be set to 12355456A7.com.whatever.tinker, though I've tried those earlier in the process with no success...

    Solution: startover, do everything exactly the same (but with new IDs and certs for everything), and it worked.

  • Visual Studio 2012 SharePoint Project Error : The partial project item type does not have a value for this property

    Hi,
    I am getting this error from visual studio 2012 whenever i try to create the following project types:
    - Workflow Custom activity
    - Web parts
    The error is as mentioned below
    "The partial project item type does not have a value for this property"
    Due to this the when I add above type of items in my project, they show a red cross icon against them.
    Please let me know If have you any solution?

    Hi
    I had same issue. Below is the solution
    Installing
    "Visual Studio 2012 Update 3" usually solves this problem. (You can download it through microsoft's official site at

  • Adjusting Portal Pages throws "Specify a value for the property {0}"

    I found (with the help of our friends at OSS) the setting I need to change with to adjust the Runtime frame size for Guided Procedures.
    It's quite logical really, since GP is just a bunch of pages in the portal it would make sense to find them in the Portal Content option ... So there it was.
    Content Administration > Portal Content
    Search for content and go to Process Instance. The following part shows the 3 main content parts of the GP Runtime window. As you can see in the third container are the two elements that contain your content. "Content Area" and "Public Content Area".
    Open those two areas (scroll down in the list in the middle, select one and press open) and change the value of Height Type from "Fixed" to "Automatic" or "Full Page".
    This is where I get my error (see the link below for a screenshot as well): When I try to change a value, any value or just open for modifying and try saving again (without changing anything) I get this error:
    [http://wow.telenet.be/delaware/property0.jpg]
    Specify a value for the property
    Now I don't know if there any portal expert watching this thread, but it seems as though all those pages have been wrongly configured from the start. And until I figure out the right configuration I won't be able to save them either way.
    My question is two-fold:
    1) Can anyone provide me with all the settings he has for this component so I can compare them to mine?
    2) How do I fix this error? I'm assuming every page in the portal gives the same error?
    Thanks in advance,
    Frederik-Jan

    If you create a metadatatype with a single metdata block, and you reference that in your vm/cm cell attribute using a *one* based index, Excel seems to see the link and it honors it when saving the spreadsheet.
    So, I ended up with something like:
    <c ... cm="1"/> (I'm dealing with cell metadata, but the concept is equivalente to value metadata)
    <metadataTypes count="1">
      <metadataType name="MyMetaType" .../>
    </metadataTypes>
    <futureMetadata count="1" name="MyMetaType">

      </bk>
    </futureMetadata>
    <cellMetadata count="1">
      <bk><rc
    t="1" v="0"/></bk> <!-- this is what gets referenced as cm=1 on the cell -->
    </cellMetadata>
    Hope this helps.

    and also please tell me how can the MDB recievies this property data ?? MDB onMessage method argument is the Message object and if you look at the documentation, Message interface has getter methods to retrieve the properties.
