Struggling with the Submit Form
My incomplete site has three links which don't seem to work at all. Unsurprisingly they are all the same file type and I don't have the slightest clue on how to fix it!

I have supplied the coding for one of my pages 'Site Feedback'. My goal is to create a send-able form where the user can contact us at [email protected]. You guys supplied me with this script, but for some reason (probably due to my own fault) it isn't working! Thanks for the help.

Hiding the "Submit Form" button in Reader
I am referring to the "Submit Form" button that is part of the application (just to the right of the Highlight Fields button) rather than one that appears on the PDF document itself.
This is for a PDF form for a company with many branches.
I want to create a form that users can fill out and save in Reader, but I don't want them to submit it electronically, because I need them to provide a photo as well. I just want them to save the filled-out form and then email it together with a photo to their local branch manager, and I do not have a complete list of branch managers; I am assuming that the user knows the email address of their branch manager. So I either want to hide the Submit Form botton or change it to Save Form.
I am trying this on a PC (specifically Acrobat 9, Acrobat Reader 9 and Windows Vista Home Premium), and also on a Mac. On both platforms, when I take an existing form and distribute it to get one that can be filled out n Reader, Acrobat generates a form that Reader displays with the Submit Form button.Here is the answer to my own question. Don't use Distribute Form to generate the Reader-enabled form. Instead, in Acrobat 9, go to Advanced --> Extend Forms Fill-in and Save in Adobe Reader to generate the form. In Acrobat X, go to File>Save as.

I have created a form for my boss and distributed it. She doesn't want the submit form button to appear as people don't need to submit the form to anyone, just fill it in and keep a copy. I can't figure out how to remove this button. It's not one I've created, it's the one that it automatically generates when you don't have a submit button in your form. Is it possible to remove this button or do we just have to live with it? I am using Adobe Acrobat X Pro.

How do I remove the Submit Form button?
I am using Acrobat Pro 9 with LiveCycle. I have created an interactive form and did not include a button to e-mail the form. When the distributed form is opened, there is a purple bar across the top with instructions to click "Submit Form" and "Highlight Fields" and "Submit Form" buttons. I do not want this form e-mailed back to me. It just needs to be saved by the user and uploaded at a later time. Saving it after the user fills in the fields is not the issue. That is working fine. But the user may be confused by a button saying they should submit the form. Plus it is my e-mail address in the field and I don't want all these forms showing up in my e-mail box. This happens whether I choose to distribute it with "Automatically download..." or "Manually collect..."
Does anyone know what can be done to prevent the form from displaying the "Submit Form" button?
Also, one user did get get a warning when saving about that not being the optimal way to send the data. I believe it said to press submit form. I'm sorry, I was not relayed the exact warning, but it was something to that effect. It did, however, save correctly.Pzaidel: YOU are a freakin genius. Great suggestion-worked perfectly! Here's how I did it with a form created in Indesign:
Do entire backgrnd layout in Indesign-convert to regular PDF.
Open New doc in LC-standard way-create all fields.
After completion when you open it in Adobe Acrobat, you will see the "Submit Form" at the top next to "Highlight existing fields".
Go back to your LiveCycle doc and:
Highlight and ctrl+c copy all fields onto clipboard. [I don't think there is an option to copy fields anywhere within LC]
Do as Pzaidel suggests above: create new LC form [you cannot avoid selecting interactive form....but didn't seem to matter].
Import your PDF layout from InDesign [or word].
THEN Paste all fields back into form.
TA DA! No submit button.
AND after importing and placing all fields, I even included a print button that works on the bottom of the form so anyone could see-it must be printed and cannot be submitted-at least by a button.

When I try to use the Submit Form button on the Interactive PDF I created (In Design CS6), I get this message:
There is no value in form field "Program." Please put in it before proceeding.
How can I fix this and make the Submit Form button work?Are you running modified software on your phone? This error seems to be common if the firmware has been modified and you're trying to restore the phone again.

Report error with the input form using the VC BI integration wizard
Hello All,
I've created a report using the BI integration wizard in visual composer. I've configured the query with the 'Free Form' query template also I've defined the filters there. This is working fine and giving me the report output. When I deploy this , I could see
a start point for the data service.
But instead of the start point with the default values for the filters , I want to have an input form for the users to enter the field values. I added the input form in place of start point. But it's not working even though it doesn't give any error while deploying this report. It gives the following error when I run this report.
" Data service error occurred,cannot execute OLAP queryCannot get data set: Cannot get data set".
Could anybody help on this.

I'm already draging it from the query input port. Are you referring a different way? How I could have the input variables in the query which I'm creating using the BI integration wizard. To get this input variable I'm trying to add the input form.

My Client is having a serious problem with the Contact Form Widget
My Client is having a serious problem with the Contact Form Widget that I can not figure out how to correct.
I created a website for a client and inserted a Contact Form widget on their 'Contact Us' page. Whenever anyone uses the form, the e-mail my client receive shows my e-mail address as the sender. So, when they 'reply' to the e-mail, the reply is sent to me and not the person who sent the original message. This creates a major problem in that I get barraged with e-mail replies while my client's potential customers go without a response.
When I look at 'Site Manager > System E-Mails > Workflow Information > E-mail From Address' on the site's Admin Console, it shows my e-mail information. Is this is what needs to be changed? If it is, what needs to be placed in that field so that the e-mail my client receives shows the senders e-mail information in the 'From' field. My client wants to be able to click reply and have the message sent to the right party. They would be very upset if they have to cut and past the senders e-mail address from the body text on every contact they receive.
Their feeling is that if I can't find a way to make the contact form work the way it should, then it's useless to them.
Can anyone help me figure this out? I really don't want to disappoint my first client.Are you on a plan that has the CRM feature that stores your customers' data? If so, the idea of the contact form is that you'll receive a notification that there's been an inquiry filled out on your contact form and there should be a link in that email notification that leads to the "Case" that was created when that customer filled out a contact form. You can click that link and visit the case for that customer in your BC site and reply to them from there so that all of the correspondence is logged in the CRM for safe-keeping and for your records.
If your client finds this is too much work to login to BC to reply every time, then you should check to see if you have the "Customer Service Ticketing" feature on your hosting plan. This is a feature where you create a dedicated email account (like [email protected]) and the BC system will automatically login to that email account and pull any emails in that inbox and convert them to a customer case for the sender of the email and then it will send out a notification via email to any of the BC Admin users you delegate as "Customer Service Agents". Since the CST integrates with the BC CRM it lets you reply directly within the email-- but when you reply it will be going to that same email address dedicated to the CST but once the CST service checks your email again and sees that you replied to this inquiry it will log your reply against the customer's case and sends your reply via email back to them so that all the correspondance gets logged on BC's CRM but you can still reply via email.
There's no way to use the default web forms to update the "From" or "Reply-To" address.. it must come from an approved email address to avoid spam issues. On most web services you cannot change the "from" address anyway but usually you can at least specify the "Reply-To" address so that when someone hits "reply" in their email client it will reply to whoever you setup as the "Reply-To" address.

I don't think the CST feature is in the webMarketing BC plan-- I think it's only in the webCommerce plan so if you have less than an webCommerce plan you have to tell your client to reply through BC by clicking the link in the notification they get. You can justify it by saying its one or two more steps but it keeps the entire convo on record in their CRM for easy referral later. -
Where does the "Submit Form" button get created and how can I change the associated email address?
I've created a pdf form using Adobe Live Cycle ES 8.2 and it has been working fine. Now I need to change the email address it gets sent to when the user clicks on the "Submit Form" button.

I did not manually add this button, so I am assuming it was somehow automatically created.
It worked great up until now that I need to change the "To:" email address.
I've look through the XML code associated this this email address and changed it every where I could find it, but it still hasn't changed my results. So, I have no idea how to change this and as stated above, if I create a new form it automatically sets it up to be sent to the wrong email address. Not sure why or how to change it?

I would like to know how to remove the 'Submit Form' button of a writable pdf please as I don't want my users to see this and use it.
I'm going to assume you mean the one that appears in the document message bar when you use the Distribute Form process. If you don't want your users to submit, you can instead simply Reader-enable the form (if needed for pre-11 Reader users) and make the form available to your users.

Thanks!Change your button not to use the Submit type but rather to use the Rules and Custom Code type, then add a rule that does a submit plus whatever other actions you're doing. Add a Close action as well if you want, but you should also then be able
to set the form web part to close on submit. All of my forms are built like this, and I use them all in form web parts (I'm in love with them).
Oh, another thing I do is when my user submits, I switch to a new view that looks nice and has a submit confirmation. At the point, the form doesn't even need to be closed, but I do have a close button just in case.

There is a chapter in my Illustrator CS3 book explaining how to use gradient mesh and mesh tool, but it doesnt help me at all. I am clueless! The tutorial says that I can create points in the mesh simply by clicking with the mesh tool within an object, but when I try to do that, the pointer is "crossed out". I can only add extra points on lines or edges, but not on empty space within an object. What gives? Why is it that others can do it an I cant? Forgive me if I sound a little too upset, but I've been struggling with this for days and I cannot find an answer.
In this tutorial right here: http://www.layersmagazine.com/illustrator-gradient-mesh-tool.html the guy just clicks in empty spaces creating intersections. In my case it is impossible.
PS: Please look at an attached file and tell me what would be the best way to go about coloring this chair. Maybe I am doing this completely wrong? (I only started learning illustrator about 5 weeks ago)
Sorry for the background template being of poor quality, but this was taken from a book and scanned, so it's the best I could do.You know something I think there should be a behavioral change in this case. To my way of thinking this option should automatically be disabled if you select the Mesh tool. If for some reason you want the mesh tool not to behave the way there might be a toggle or a double click to get the preferences for the tool 's behavior itself. I can see where this behavior can be useful but there needs to be a toggle.
Selecting the anchors for adding color with out accidentally creating a new mesh division is good thing but you need to be able to work both ways.
What do you think Scott Weichert you use the tool extensively, am i wrong? -
How to change the submit form data - standard e-mail text?
everytime, when submitting data of a form, in the e-mail appears a standard text like below:
The attached file contains data that was entered into a form. It is not the form itself.
The recipient of this data file should save it locally with a unique name. Adobe Acrobat Professional 7 or later can process this data by importing it back into the blank form or creating a spreadsheet from several data files. See Help in Adobe Acrobat Professional 7 or later for more details.
My experience shows, that this may confuse the user. I would like to write in a simple way, for example:
