Sub totals in ADOBE Forms

Hi i have a requirement where i have to do total for a group of records based on the order number which are displayed in the table.
Could you sugest how do i go ahead, as i have written the code for Sub total and it works extremely fine but the problem is that i have used the text fields in the table format and it works but the problem is that the heading keeps on getting repeated for each record which i dont need.
So to aviod this i took a table but this does not support the sub totals.
Could you please suggest a way to acheive this.

Hi!
make the grandtotal fielf in the layout and it should be in a one subform.
click in the field for which the grandtotal is there and then up where you can see different options like EDIT,VIEW like that BELOW THERE YOU CAN SEE : SHOW and a list box displaying events select Events with Scripts click on language as java script and RUN AT client
and add the java script code there
sum(data.Table1.Group1.Row1[].PRICE[])
this will give the grandtotal as well.
Try it will work.

Need some help in Page totals in Adobe forms
I am having a table which flows into several pages .
I need to display the Total of a column at the end of every Page .
How can i achieve that .
I have tried the Script wih the pageContent method it is not working .i have also tried the sum method but it gives the grand total not the page total
Since we can not know at what record in the table page break can occur, i can not add in the back end program . It has to be done dynamically .

I am now able to do the Sub Totals , but i am facing a new problem
My Requirement is
I have a table in my Design page
If the data in my table flows for more than one page then
1) I should show at page end sub total of Net Amount column in the table
2) The same Amount should be shown in the starting of the Second Page after which the table contents should flow
3) At the end of Page 2 i should again display the total amount which is addition of total from previous page and sum of all items in page 2 .
Example

I have tried to use the Overflow leader and Trailer to get this functionality but in that case only texts are being displayed
not the Values .
I have tried to create the BalanceCarryfwd form in Master page but the sub totals are not comin up there .
How can i implement this logic , Please help me in this .

In adobe forms, i am displaying purchase order details in table format. internal table contains 150 records but it displaying
only 50 records in single page. how i have to call a new page,how i have to create a page preak and i want to display only
5 records for a page with carry forward,page total and total net value.

Hi Sivaprasath,
For the table content to flow onto the next pages please make sure that the outermost subform is NOT with the content property "Positioned".
For having only 5 records per page, you can design a deep structure with fields:
Table 1 (The table which will hold 5 records per page)
Page total
total net value
Have the table type of it defined in the form.
Put the logic for filling the table in such a way that each row of this nested table has 5 records and pagetotal and total net value.
then put it inside a subform and check the checkbox for "rpeat subformt for each data item".
Another way is to use Conditional breaks in Pagination tab.

Page total in adobe forms

Hi Experts,
I want to do page total on a particular field in adobe forms . I am getting grand total but cann't get the page total.
Is their some java script or adobe script is required for it . If yes then provide me the solution for it. Its very urgent. Point is garanted for the solution.

You can do the calculation using script.
Check the meterial numbers are equal and add the total.

Can i use adobe form to produce a report with grouping and subtotal?

Hi,
i need to produce a report that allows me to group against a field and do a subtotal for the group, then finally a total for the whole report.
i m using web dynpro java, i can do grouping in the table component, but i have no idea how to do subtotal for the group.
is there any built-in function in adobe form that i can produce this kind of report relatively easily?

We do allow Adobe Forms questions in this forum only if the question pertains to their usage within Web Dynpro ABAP. I don't see anything in your question that fits that description. You seem to have general forms questions and ones that pertain to the usage by print driver programs. I would suggest that your question is really better suited to the Adobe Forms Forum or the ABAP Print Forms Forum.

If ur transaction supports message control technique then u can attach a PDF form and its driver prog. name with an output type from transaction NACE.

1. Go to Conditional break section in your Pagination Tab. Click + icon.
2. In When section --> Change the Language to JavaScript and write as

I am creating an Adobe form for SD invoices.
I have a table which contains the list of invoice items. I want to calculate a sub total per page in the table footer.
For example :

Search for the function "sum" in formcalc in the "Adobe Livecycle Designer Help". That will solve your problem.
It is something like

Events with Scrpts and JavaScript in ADOBE forms

Hello All,
On an Adobe form I have field for sub totals. I am trying to choose 'Events with Scripts' on the SHOW pull down values and choose JavaScript in the language. I was able to do this some time ago but now, I am able to choose Events with Scripts but not being able to choose JavaScript for language.
I do not have much exp. with Adobe or JavaScript but I checked whatever I could think of but could not figure out. Any body ran into this issue before? Any ideas?

By trial and error, what I did is, chose 'Calculate' in the Show menu then chose JavaScript in the Language pull down menu. Then added my JavaScript code. Then went back and change 'Calculate' in the Show menu to Events with Scripts. Saved and executed it . It worked.

Hiding Windows, fields in adobe forms

Hello,
I am new to adobe forms and presently working on one requirement.
My form got 3 pages, on first page i have one table. i) If the table contains only one row i have to hide the entire page.
ii) On the second page i have Po details and on third page I have SO and FI details. If the tables for PO, SO or FI are empty i need to hide the windows.
iii) Current Page/ total Page no : This field needs to be displayed from second page and once the form repeats for another input value these two needs to be initialized and start counting based on the data extension to multiple pages. Presently printing starting from 1st page.
I have all the flags First_page_flag, Second_page_flag, third_page_so and third_page_Fi flags controlled from print program and are available in the context menu but not on the LAYOUT.
I also tried the following code to hide the page but it didn't work out: (Initialize)

I closed my layout and run the program. But still getting the same error.
For Tables in PAGE 2 and PAGE 3
Anyways I could able to hide the TABLES (Sub forms - Page 2 & 3) now by including and hiding the flags(WV_SDISPLAY, WV_FDISPLAY) in the respective subforms. I have used the following JAVA scripting to achieve this in initialization event:

this.presence = "hidden".
For PAGE hide:
But, in my requirement i have to hide the FIRST PAGE and not the TABLE, if the table(subform) containes one row. I set a flag wv_idisplay in the program. Now if i include this flag under this table and follow the same JAVA scripting mentioned above it is not working.

Also, from some of the threads and by the comments of Gold Otto, I could understand that, to hide a Master page, i need to put the condition on it's associated subform and i am proceeding with this logic.
