Subclips inconsistent behavior; not always working correctly in Premiere Pro CC

I load a clip into the Source panel. I set in and out points and then CTRL + U to create a subclip. I have "Restrict Trim to subclip boundaries" turned off. (Thank you Adobe, I've been waiting for "soft" subclips forEVER!) The new subclip appears in my Project panel with the correct name and duration (as well as a white audio icon to indicate that it has not yet been used in my project). Now, I drag that subclip into my sequence. But the entire clip (a 5 minute interview), from which the subclip was derived, is loaded onto the timeline.
This has been working correctly for the last hour, and now it has stopped working. It appears that for the moment, subclipping is dead to me.

I've done a little more testing, and the problem seems to be related to merged clips where (for me) the audio is longer than the video.
Here's a screenshot of some testing I did:
Let me talk you through the project browser:
- At the top there are the source video and audio
- I then made bins for a trimmed sequence version and an untrimmed sequence (what I mean by trimmed is that the audio was chopped down to the same duration as the video, after syncing)
- I did the syncing on both manually. For the untrimmed clip, the audio leads the video by 1:29:04.
- I then made merges of both
- I then made subclips of both
Remarks:
1) The trimmed versions seem to work fine, though I haven't done serious testing. At least the media start and end make sense.
2) The untrimmed merge "Merge (untrimmed)" is showing a Media Start of 23:57:04:10, which is just wrong. First of all this is a 'negative' time number (C++ signed/unsigned int math coding error?), secondly, it doesn't seem to match anything because it is an offset of -2:55:14, when the video offset is +1:29:04.
3) When I open "Untrimmed.Subclip001" (as shown in the Source window) it shows a start time of "23:57:04:10" (the very beginning of the "Merge (untrimmed)" clip) instead of "23:58:33:14" which is where I'd set the in point for the subclip (and is shown in the Media Start column). What plays back is, indeed, the very beginning of the untrimmed clip. This is also the case with "Untrimmed.Subclip002" which had an In point set at 6:00:00.
4) The Subclip Start times shown are totally broken. I really have no idea where it is getting those numbers from. On the other hand, the End times seem to be ok (if you again ignore the fact that I have an end time of "23+ hours" on a clip that is 1 hour long.
5) The Audio In and Out Points shown don't make any sense to me. They're all just a little bit off the other numbers that are shown.
Lastly, the source video is AVCHD 1080p24 from a Panasonic GH2 and the audio is 48kHz 24-bit mono from a Zoom H4n

I know how vague the title sounds, sorry for that :-)
We want to implement autosuggest behavior on a simple input text. While this simple task seems to work on a normal page, it doesn't so with the structure of pages, templates, regions and taskflows we have in place.
To simplify our test case, we base the autosuggest behavior on a simple managed bean method that always return a static list of selectItems.

I've tried the following:
   * Created a page with the input text and autosuggest behavior on. When running the page directly, everything works
   * Added the page on the taskflow, of the original application, as default action. We see the running image, but no list
   * Created a taskflow with the page. Added the taskflow on the page as a static region. Everything works
   * Added the taskflow on the page as a dynamic region, again we don't see the list
   * Created a new application trying to reproduce, without success
Does anyone know how to best tackle this problem?

thanks for the links. I had read them already before posting this threat.
It is not that the autosuggest is not working, it just doesn't work on the pages we are using.
If we put our component on a new empty page, it all works.
I believe that it is a combination of templates and dynamic regions, that causes the issue.
But I've no idea on how to investigate this.
At one point I thought it was due to the dynamic regions, so I created a seperate project just to test this. But in the other project everything works.
Any pointers on how to find out an issue like this?

FireFox home page does not always display correctly, hence I cannot do anything

On my Dell laptop the FireFox home page does not always fully display. When this happens I cannot access several web sites and some that I can do not display correctly either. On some occasions everything works correctly.
I have 2 Dell Inspiron laptops the same except one is running Vista (the one that does not always work) and one running Windows 7 (this one has no problems).

Web Intelligence is not always working well

i found web intelligence is not always working, sometime, when i try to open a document, it takes so long, sometimes, it is fast, sometimes when i try to refresh the report, it gives me error, i am wondering if someone knows what could cause this kind of issue? is it proxy? or something else?

there are many factors that can cause slow performance. In those cases where it is sometimes fast, it may be due to caching -- another user recently requested the same report and the report is in the server's cache, so instead of running the report from the start it sends the cache to you. In other cases there may be no cache built up so you get stuck waiting for cache and your report comes up slowly. There are a couple of techniques for tracking down slow performance, but mostly it happens due to either a database problem or an overworked applications/web server, or poor communication/LAN/Network lines. Depending on your expertise you'll gravitate to checking that aspect out first and investigating one of the aspects to see where a bottleneck is getting produced. Another technique is to add -trace to your service startups to add more verbose messages to your logs. Adding trace will help you to see more of what is going on in the background. I guess it's a matter of digging in and following your instincts until you can nail down the culprit.

IPod Touch 4th gen home button not always working and deletes all songs on iPod.

I bought my ipod touch on may but since that day, the home button is not alway working and also sometimes when I sync my Ipod, it remove all the songs from it without asking me. What can I do? It is so frustrating..

Regarding the songs problem, Are you always syncing to one computer/iTunes library? If y sync to another computer/iTunes library your iPod will be erased and its contents replaced with what is in the iTunes library of the second computer.

LR4.2 and "Do not import selected duplicates" does not always work. Running a Mac, 10.6.8, I am cleaning up hard drives, organizing old files. There are times lightroom 4.2 (and before) does not recognize already imported raws and does not gray them out. These are backed up cards and folders of of raw images. If it intermittently works, then you either have to get it cleaned out or fixed. Back up your iPhone and take it into an Apple Store.

The Back arrow does not always work, particularly with Amazon and eBay sites.Even the on-page Back arrows do not work either.

I am using version 15.0.1. Since I updated to this version, the Back arrow does NOT always work particularly with Amazon and eBay. This is particularly evident when I go from a list the result of a search to an item on the lis. I cannot get back to the list even using the On-page Back arrow. I usually have to repeat the search to get back to the list again.

Flash player not always working

For some reason certain sites won't load video's with flash player at all on my computer, where other sites with flash player will (I think sites that have an updated version required won't work). I am running the 12 version for chrome (it's enabled and i have done everything on this site to fix it

The sort fields should generally be empty unless you've putting in custom values to sort solo artists by their surnames. You can apply common changes to thousands of tracks at once, just don't apply the wrong change because there is no undo.
It is a good idea to backup before undertaking large scale changes. See this backup tip for a suggested approach.

Exposure Correction in Premiere Pro

I used a Sony camera model HDR-SR8E to record in AVCHD moonrise and gathering fog after nightfall over a river. This stresses the abilities of the camera regarding exposure with the result that it is very dark to the eye. I was hoping that Premiere Pro would have a tool that can amplify the recorded signals that comprise the video. Thanks.

I could add why I can get away with not correcting exposure after all. I filmed this same scene twice, once after full darkness while moon rose, then a second time with sun setting behind me. I also filmed moon separately on zoom with its own exposure. So while moon is in foreground I use the 1st shot, in this the moon looks like a small white moving spotlight so I put film of the moon proper over it using transparency and rotational and speed effects so the moon always covers the spotlight, then in another project I reversed the second filming so instead of progressively getting darker it gets progressively brighter to full daylight. I figure that in a third project i will just fade the first into the second once the moon has moved out of top view. So the very very dark won't last too long.

The playback in PrPro is but an emulation. For true color grading and exposure work, a calibrated CRT monitor fed through a D-A device via FW is the best you can get.
From your description, I'd definitely look at Levels, and Highlight & Shadow (be sure to turn Auto OFF). When you have improved things (go back and forth between these two Effects) to a really good point, then look at Fast Color Corrector. Be prepared to go back for tweaking.
If you do not have a calibrated monitor, you might want to Export a small segment (or use ADL to Encore), and then burn a DVD RW, or BD RE to test on your set-top player with TV attached. Using rewritables will save $, and no "coasters."

Hey guys, I'm an experienced noob in digital video production. I learned on using an HD camera and Final Cut Pro 7 in my communications class. But now that I graduated, I bought myself a t3i and the adobe creative cloud. My question is, should I color correct in Premiere Pro or another suitable program (the only one I sort of know is Davinci Resolve lite)? Sure, I know it can be done in Premiere Pro, but I was wondering if there is a better alternative that I should focus my learning in for color correction. Thanks in advance!
