Submit event doesn't raised while creating vc application

Hi Masters,
I am developing a web service based visual composer application. Here iam making a connection from output port of a form to two input ports of data service. While deploying application ,it shows warnings like "event submit is declared but cannot be raised.
Even here if i try to click on the arrow link at the end of output port ,in the event selector it is not showing event submit.Also in the layout tab, it is not showing submit button.
Please help me.

1. Make sure you have a "submit" event on the line connecting the form to the data service.
2. Make sure that you have a submit button in your form with the action specified as "submit".
The second step is probably what you're missing.

I've built a portal based on the exampleportal. I'm now trying to integrate personalization.
I've loaded 2 documents in the default content repository using loaddocs, and
created a content selector in the EBCC (I synchronized after that). When creating
my content selection rules, I can do a preview, and see my two documents, so the
rule is working. Now, when I use the <pz:contentSelector ...> tag, exactly as
described in the documentation, I get a stack trace saying : " Exception raised
while creating Advisor". The stack doesn't tell anything about the error...
I also tried using the <cm:select...> tag in various fashions, but it always
returns me an array of size 0, or null.
I haven't changed the configuration for the DocumentManager... What could have
gone wrong ?
Any help would be greatly appreciated !

Did you restart the docPool after you ran the BulkLoader (with loaddocs)?

That's probably not the problem, becuase I'd guess that you may have
already restarted your server a few times and you still have the problem,
but I thought I'd start there.
Also, did you make sure your portal contains all the components necessary
for the features you are using? Are you using Portal 7.0? If you are using
Portal 7.0 and you created your portal domain with the domain configuration
wizard, then your portal does not contain all of the tag libraries that it
needs for full personalization. Compare your portal to the sampleportal.

I am adding some personalization to a jsp in portal 7.0 which worked fine in 4.0.
I am importing the pz.tld and using the pz:div tag '<pz:div rule="admin">'. We
have 'admin' set up as a segment in the EBCC just like in 4.0. When the jsp compiles,
I get a 'javax.servlet.servletexception: exception raised while creating advisor'
exception.
I'm just really unfamiliar with the Advisor and am not sure where to start. Any
help would be much appreciated.

It appears this error might occur on JNDI lookup failure. If you do a
diff between the web.xml and weblogic.xml files between 4.0 and 7.0 in
your webapp's web-inf directory what differences do you find? Are the
ejb-ref and ejb-reference entries for the Advisor and other EJB's present?
Is the ejbadvisor.jar deployed in your application? Is it present in
the application directory? Is there a ejb component entry in config.xml?
Is there a module entry in application.xml?
If you find that this is not the right direction to look for the problem
please post the full stack trace and a pz:div code snippet.

Error while creating Classic Application

Hi All,
While creating classic application through Application wizard i am facing a error "An error occured while processing this page. Please check the logs." I am getting this error when i click 'Finish' on last page. Both the Oracle and Essbase Connections are fine and validated. Any idea for this error? Where i can check the logs as suggested in error message?
I am using the version 11.1.2

If on windows have a look in <MIDDLEWARE_HOME>/user_projects/epmsystem1/diagnostics/logs/services
There will be two planning log files.

I have no issues in trying to help someone as polite as you! It is very nice to have questions answered in an intelligible manner - not unfortunately always the case.
Without being able to debug on your system it is quite difficult to say what might be causing this error - especially as you say this was working in a different system.
I'm sure you've already tried eliminating differences in your authorisations between the two systems? Are you registered as a developer in the new system?
Sorry I'm now just guessing as I've not come across the error myself - hopefully now that we have clearly documented the issue, someone else might be able to shed some light on what might cause it!

After doing snapshot my application was created and even in fdm also i found error while creating application(hint:cache not found) but now everything is fine don't know what exactly the error may be but now i am facing 404 error while doing Assign Access control in shared services console what may be the reason did anyone experienced this error if so please provide me the solution.

Error while creating OCA application in NWDS 7.1

Dear Experts,
I am creating mobile application for Handhelds (OCA) using mobile 7.1.
I created the service component, ui component and application component. Added the dependencies, build the application, uploaded the 3 components to the server, assigned it to my device.
But when I login into the mobile client in PDA, in application launcher screen, no application appears. In Device admin portal when i check, the status of MCD is installed.
Also when i simply run the application from NWDS using the built in PDA simulator, the application doesnt show any data and on the NWDS console i get the following error

I am sure the coding part is not a problem. As before this application i created a similar application for Laptops and its working fine.

I have installed MinDB and all the required files on the PDA. It is synchronizing with the middleware.
On my NWDS PDA Simulator , the application is appearing but when i click on the application there is no data and it is giving exception

Please find my ans to the following points mentioned by you
1) BASIS SWCV must be assigned in the Distribution Model Software Component Version tab of the device.
It is assigned
2) Activate the "DISTRIBUTE_USER_DETAILS" Rule in the admin.
Rule is activated
3) Activate the "DISTRIBUTE_USER_AUTHORIZATIONS" Rule in the admin.
Rule is activated
4) Make sure that you have installed the following components in the following sequence in the PDA
- Creme
- MinDB/DB2e
- PDA_eswt_container
- PDA Runtime.
Client is installed in this sequence only. I referrred to help.sap.com while installing
the application should atleast work in the NWDS PDA simulator. My basic problem is it is not picking up the data. giving the above mentioned error.

Hi,
It is the first time I have seen the error in this context but what planning is trying to do is clear out the system action table, there is a table called HSP_ACTION in your planning system schema.
The definition of the table should be :-
ID > Integer
FROM_ID > Integer
TO_ID > Integer
Action_ID > Integer
Object_Type > Integer
Primary_Key > Varchar
Action_Time > Date
I would check the table is set up correctly and remove any values from it, maybe there is a problem with the date field.

Error while creating the application

Hi all,
I have created a planning application by using a name(say APP).
I have deleted that application from the essbase administration services and i have deleted,updated
few data from the planning tables which were having the app_id same as APP.
Now when i am creating the same APP application from the workspace it is showing error,but if I am
changing the application name from APP to some other name it is creating the application successfully.
But I want to create the application with the same name APP.
How can i do it?

Hi,
First of all why did you take that route to delete the application.
You should be able to delete the application from the same place you created it.
You said you deleted some data from tables, what data did you remove and what tables.
The reason why you can't create the application with the same name is probably because you have not removed it correctly.

Error While create web application

When I try to create new web application on my server it return error as the Virtual directory already in use. For example if I create the web application in 9090 port means it shown the error the virtual directory 9090 was already used by other application
. but I am sure there are no site in the directory. I am try with 3 or 4 different port same problem. I have try to create web application with host header and without host header also same problem was occur.

Hi Ravin,
According to your description, my understanding is that you got an error when you create a new web application.
Please log on the server with administrator account.
And please check the followings:
Ensure you have a proper dns name / entry in the hosts file of your server for the new url you are wanting to create.
Ensure you have typed in the ‘host header’ typed in when creating the new web application.
If this doesnt work, open IIS Manager – Start>run> inetmgr> and verify the home directory – it could be located on a different drive.

Open the Calendar application and add a new appointment. Make sure your calendar at the top is listed for the Enterprise account and not Home (Local Calendar).
Scroll down where it says Participants and click on where it says Invite (not the +) and start typing a name. An option will pop below saying look up.... Click on Look up and it will search the GAL.

Not able to add a new runtime while creating ADF application (Linux)

Hi All
I downloaded "Oracle WebLogic Server 11gR1 (10.3.5) + Coherence + OEPE - Package Installer" for Linux (32 bit JVM) and installed it on my hosted linux box. After the installation, I added sun jdk that comes bundled with the installation to my PATH environment variable. Now when I try to create a new Oracle ADF Application, I am getting stuck while adding a new runtime environment. I chose the type of runtime environment as "Oracle Weblogic Server 11gR1 Patch Set 4". For weblogic home I gave the location of wlserver_10.3 directory which also sets the JAVA Home automatically in the wizard, but I am not able to proceed after this. Both Next and Finish buttons remain disabled. I also tried adding this runtime environment from Windows ->Preferences ->Server ->Runtime Environment but getting the same issue.
Am I missing something here?

Hi Abhishek,
The reason the RT isn't being listed is because it doesn't have the ADF runtime installed and this is a requirement for ADF applications.
Please download the 11.1.1.5 Application Development Runtime from http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/adf/downloads/index.html and install into the wls home where you installed wls1035_oepe111172_win32.bin.
Once this is complete, please delete and re create the runtime environment. Once this is done, you should be able to create an ADF application without any issues.
