Submit fails when "OK" button added to form

I have a PDF form that I import to Forms central, then distribute. Users can submit the form just fine. However, as soon as I add an "OK" button to the form (using Adobe Pro XI) and re-import and distribute, all the "Submit" attempts fail. I can add checkboxes, no problem... Just the OK buttons that choke the submission. Any known work-around for this? Thanks!

We are working on this issue via email but I just want to post here in case someone else encouter a similar issue.
Make sure that the button you add is not used to make a hidden field visible. This will cause issue during submission as FormsCentral doesn't know about hidden fields and therefore the form will try to submit data that FormsCentral is not expecting resulting in a fail submission.

Weblogic Windows service fails when aspectwerkz is added to configuration

All,
I have been running weblogic as windows service successfully. Now, we are utilizing AOP from aspectwerkz. I added the necessary settings for aspectwerkz in the install script. After adding the changes, I am able to install the service. However, when I start the service it fails with the MMC error dialog box displaying:
'Error 1067: The process terminated unexpectedly.'
I opened the Event viewer and checked the System events. I see an error which says:
'The beasvc med1d2_med1d2as01 service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 2 time(s). The following corrective action will be taken in 0 milliseconds: No action.'
Unfortunately, the info I get from MMC and event viewer doesn't really help in any way. I tried tweaking 'CMDLINE' and other stuff in the install script to no avail. I would appreciate any help.
Infrastructure information:
OS: Windows Server 2000
App server: Weblogic 8.1 sp4
JDK: Sun JDK 1.4.2 04

Video Autoplay when Interactive button added

I am having an issue with a video slide auto playing when a interactive button is added.
From the first slide of the project I have an interactive index that jumps to different slides. When it jumps to another slide the video slide will auto play, but when adding an interactive button to jump back to the home page the video no longer auto plays.
I have added SS to show the index and the video slide.

Just a guess here, but typically a button has a pause built into it. So you may need to check and adjust exactly where the pause is occurring.

Issue with WHEN-VALIDATE-ITEM trigger in Forms 6i

I am working with a form(A) which displays a modal window(B) with some database fields on it when a button on the form was pressed.
First as soon as I pressed the button on the form A the modal window B appears with the values as (for example)
Scenario - 0
field 1 - OTHER
field 2 - 123-456
field 3 - 14-JUN-2006
field 4 - Old Contract
Scenario - 1
If field 1 is changed/updated to a value NONE then the remaining fields should grey out and should not allow the user to edit/update those fields. Also it should clear all the data in the fields and should display only blank fields. Now the only updatable field in this case is field 1 which has value NONE at this moment.
field 1 - NONE
field 2 - NULL
field 3 - NULL
field 4 - NULL
Only if the user exits the modal window B and clicks on SAVE button which is on the form A then only the data changes are committed to the database tables.
At this moment I don't want to exit the modal window B which means the data changes are not yet committed to the database.
Scenario - 2
Now if field 1 is again changed/updated to a value ANOTHER then the remaining fields has to be populated accordingly using the values from the form A and B and it should allow the user to edit/update the remaining fields in window B.
field 1 - ANOTHER
field 2 - 123-456
field 3 - 14-JUN-2006
field 4 - Old Contract
Now if you observe Scenario - 0 and Scenario - 2 only field 1 is differing. Rest of the three fields are same. As I didn't exit from the modal window the changes were not committed to the database.
If the order of the scenarios is like below:
Case1 : Scenario - 1 & Scenario - 2
Case2 : Scenario - 1 & Scenario - 0
I am able to successfully handle the above two cases as initially the three other fields are set to NULL and the user will be able to update the data and can commit the data.
If the order of the scenarios is like below:
Case3 : Scenario - 0 & Scenario - 1
Case4 : Scenario - 0 & Scenario - 2
I am also able to successfully handle the above two cases as finally the three other fileds are set to NULL and the user will be not be able to modify them and obviously NULL values will be stored in the database when committed.
Now the problem is with the following order.
Case5 : Scenario - 0 & Scenario - 1 & Scenario - 2
Case6 : Scenario - 2 & Scenario - 1 & Scenario - 0
In the above cases we can successfully handle until Scenario - 1 but when comes to Scenario - 2 how can we be able to display the data as shown.
I have tried to perform this using WHEN-VALIDATE-ITEM on field 1. When the field 1 is changed from OTHER to NONE I have assigned NULL to the remaining fields. So it's working fine as I mentioned earlier. Now if I change field 1 from NONE to ANOTHER its allowing to update the remaining fields but its not populating the data.
Can anyone help with this?

Yes, if you use the debugger as Gerd said you can get and see the data as the code executes line-by-line. You can also use message statements in your code to display the data.

Can not keep drawable signature option in reader on a form with a mailto: submit button added.

I hope someone has run into this. I have acrobat 11.0.10 to create fill-able forms and reader 11.0.10 to view and fill them. Do to the nature of the forms a drawn signature is required and is available right up until I add a submit button with a mailto: action. Then all that is available in the reader is the digital certificate. I should add that I save the form without reader extensions. Is there a way to add the auto-adressed mailto function for the person filling the form and still keep the drawable signature option for signing?

Give the buttons different name attributes. On your action page check
with StructKeyExists(Form, "name_of_first_button") and

How do I remove the "SUBMIT" button from a forms central PDF?

I downloaded a fillable PDF I want to e-mail now, but I want to remove the "SUBMIT" button that is added on for forms central.

When you convert a web form that you've created in FormsCentral and download as a PDF, you have the option of not including a submit button. If you created a PDF form with the desktop version of Acrobat, it won't have a submit button unless you upload it to the FormsCentral service and enable it for submission.
Still, you can remove it in Acrobat by first saving a non-enabled version by selecting: File > Save A Copy
and opening the copy (it doens't happen automatically) and deleting the button.

How to Close InfoPath Form After Submission When Two Buttons Exist?

I have an browser-enabled InfoPath 2010 form that has two views and a submit button on each view. The form would correctly submit and close the form using one button on the form until the second button was added. After adding the submit button on a second
view, the second button submitted/closed but the behavior on the first view changed so that the form no longer closes after submission. I’ve researched this and have not yet found a solution to allow closing the form after submission for one of the buttons.
Things I’ve tried:
- I’ve attempted creating multiple submit data connections for the different buttons
- Specifying different Submit Options
- Try closing the form with the code
- Add another button to the non-closing view
- Add duplicate Rule actions to "Close this form: No Prompt"

what if you need to switch views?
I have the same problem in a similar situation. I created a test button to narrow down the cause. the button submits data & closes the form fine. however when I add a rule to switch views before the submit & close rule, it
breaks. Submit still works but it no longer closes the form. If I disable the switch-view rule, then it closes fine.
I tried added another rule to switch back to the main view but that didn't help.
switching views is an integral part of the workflow b/c I want to email the alternate view upon approval & then close the form. So removing that rule is not a good answer unfortunately.

Email submit Button issues on form

I am having an issue with attempting to generate email with a button in my form. I had created one some time ago (using Acrobat PRO 9-Live Cycle) and the button generating email to a specific person seemed to be functioning properly. I now had a person tell me that the usual person was not receiving his email. When taking a closer look (I am now using Acrobat X) at the same form, the email function worked appropriately for me and went to the appropriate person.
Now, however, when I took that same form into designer to make some additions and continue looking at the button, I wrote out a new version of the form and the very same button does not function the same way. Previously, a pop-up would appear and you could choose your normal e-mail or internet email and then, when choosing your normal method of email, a new email message would appear(which you could edit) and it would be directed to the person that was specified on your button properties SUBMIT tab as the SUBMIT TO URL.
Now when I look at my new form at the same button(generated from the original), I can't even locate a SUBMIT tab for the same exact button. What happens when I click it is a pop-up that says it is sending the form to a totally different e-mail address (that I experimented with at some time in the past. When I look at all the event scripts associated with that button, I now see a java script associated with it that refers to this other email. Even when I change this email inside the code, the button still comes up with a pop-up that announces it will be sent to the original address (which I changed in the script).
I tried to creat a brand new "email submit" button using that new object type, but it is still defaulting to that erroneous address and I am not seeing where to change it?
I know there must be some behnd the scenes goings on that I just am not familiar with.......Would this email be stored elsewhere?....have the tabs changed for buttons, but then why can I still see that property on my original form?.......is there a better approach?.......help?!!!
May or not be related.....I also added a print button and that does not function either, but no pop-up or warning there. I did not have one on this form previously.

If you are using the FormsCenral website to create a form it will have a submit button by default for the HTML (web) form and also by default it you are saving as PDF (there is an option to create a PDF without Submit, but by default it does submit to FormsCentral).
If you are using the FormsCentral desktop application that is bundled with Acrobat XI you would have to sign into the service to create forms with Submit buttons. You can also create a form without submit button in FormsCentral Desktop and then edit the form in Acrobat XI adding a submit button using your preferred submit method such as by email.
Let me know if you need more information on either of these, it will be easier to assist knowing more about what you are using.

Problem in submit button on adobe form integrated with web dynpro

Hello,
I'm facing prob in triggering web dynpro event onSubmit for Interactive form.
I've created a submit button from web dynpro activex pallete on adobe form (integrated with web dynpro) to send the form as email.
Then in the web dynpro view where this form is embedded i have created an action against onSubmit event and called a method within this.
However, on clicking Submit button this event is not getting triggered.
Please let me know what is lacking in this process?

When you create the Adobe Form from WebDynpro, you need to follow one step in SFP Transaction or inSE80 transaction. Open the Adobe Form in any one the transaction and now in SAP menu bar "Utilities" in that you will find the "INSERT THE WEBDYNPRO SCRIPT" just click on that one. Then you will see a new Script Object is being created with the name "ContainerFoundation_JS" under the "Variables" in the Heirarchy of the Object Pallete of the Adobe Form.
This step is mandatory to use the SUBMIT Button of the "WebDynpro Native", to trigger the OnSubmit event of the WebDynpro.

Submit to SAP Button in Adobe Forms

Hi,
I have an adobe form and i have embedded it in to a Web-dynpro view.Now i have placed a "submit to sap " button on this form so that when the user clicks on this i save the contents of this form as an attachment.
My Issue is that the control does not come back to my web-dynpro event handler after this button has been pressed.I have tried re-installing the ACF also but of no use.

Multiple Submit buttons on one form

I'm developing an application that will have 4 buttons at the bottom of the form to do various things with the form information. One of the buttons will link to a separate web page for confirmation of the action. I tried to set a global variable and place an onclick event for the button which assigns a specific value for that variable. I then placed a <jsp:forward tag in my code that would be included if the global variable was the specific value which the button changes it to. I"m not sure if I'm being clear here. There is the forms page with the 4 buttons. It possesses all of this code. So the global variable is declared at the top. The variable is set if the 'Delete' button is clicked. And further down there is an if statement used to include the <jsp:forward tag when the 'Delete button has been pressed and this form is again being drawn up.
What I describe doesn't work. The global variable I guess is reset when this form is drawn up a second time after the 'Delete' submit button is pressed. I''m not married to the way that I'm solving this problem at this point so I'll take any suggestions. But basically I want the Web Forms fields to be sent to this delete jsp so that I can confirm the command to delete the indicated record from the database. The three other buttons on this form are 'Add/Update', 'Rename', and 'Cancel'. The Add/Update and Rename buttons should also be submit buttons but they should link back to the same page as they are located on. The cancel button is to return the user to the index page. I have this working using a document.location.href command in the onclick event for that button.

Hi Brain. If I'm following your thoughts, you may want to consider replacing the four sumbit buttons with four radio control buttons and one submit button.
I would suggest that you set your form action via a radio control button then, thru the form action, pass the form to a Servlet or JSP that contains some logic.
