SUBMIT 'program'TO SAP-SPOOL LAYOUT

Hi all.,
The problem is i call a transaction from my program ,And the output of the tansaction should not be displayed.. but should be saved in spool and return to the
called report..(i have acheived this ) but i get a warning message.. how to correct it..
code used:
SUBMIT ppio_entry TO SAP-SPOOL LAYOUT 'zlayout'
   VIA SELECTION-SCREEN
   KEEP IN SPOOL 'X'
   WITHOUT SPOOL DYNPRO
   AND RETURN.

The "SUBMIT ... TO SAP-SPOOL WITHOUT SPOOL DYNPRO" statement produces
unexpected results without the essential ("DESTINATION", "IMMEDIATELY",
"KEEP IN SPOOL") print parameters.

When you add "WITHOUT SPOOL DYNPRO" , the standard pop up which tells the details like
DESTINATION of the print spool
and when to print ( IMMEDIATELY ) is suppressed

Hello Experts,
I am using SUBMIT Program to execute a standard T-code (F.80).
        SUBMIT sapf080 WITH SELECTION-TABLE rspar
                                     AND RETURN.
When I execute the program in background and compare it with F.80 and execute it in background too, spool layout for both are different.
For F.80, It is more detailed with every info like doc number, company code and fiscal year with messages, but for my program only messages are displayed in the spool which is getting unconvinient as I don't know for which document number that message was generated.
Can you please suggest why am I getting 2 different spool layouts for the same program executed in 2 different ways.

I have added a list option along with SUBMIT statement to get similar spool layouts.
Below piece of code will solve the issue.

        SUBMIT sapf080 WITH SELECTION-TABLE rspar EXPORTING LIST TO MEMORY
                      AND RETURN.

SUBMIT program and spool number

How to get a spool number (SY-SPONO or any other number) of the list created by a SUBMIT command, when using
SUBMIT.. TO SAP-SPOOL
Also note that the SUBMIT is executed with in a batch / background job
Helpful answers will be definitely rewarded

I tried using SY-SPONO, the problem is SY-SPONO is not set after the SUBMIT command both in foreground and background modes.
I want to access the spool created by a SUBMIT command in the calling program.
I think, I have found out a way to do this, will have to test.. but if there is any better way...

How to use Submit Statement for mutiple Spools.

I have a requirement wherein I need to Submit a Report Program to SAP-SPOOL which generates output for multiple Idocs.
For each Idoc I need to attach the spool to a particular object_id.
As of now I am doing this by putting the Submit statement in a loop.
I want to meet the same functionality without using a loop for different Idocs.

Hi,
Each submit will create only one spool. So I dont think this is possible. Yes what you can do though is that submit the program for all the IDocs at once ( provided your program YFAPINV can handle this) and then process the spool and separate the output for each IDoc after you retrieve the data from spool.
To retrieve the data from the spool, you can use the function 'RSPO_RETURN_ABAP_SPOOLJOB' pass the spool request number and it will return you a internal table with the spool data.

Change username using SUBMIT program USER via jobname command

Hi experts,
I have this scenario wherein the user is doing PGI cancellation in VL09, within the userexit I'm using CALL FUNCTION 'FB08' to reverse the FI document of the particular delivery order in process.
However, some users wont have any authorization for FB08.
Let's say user 'ABC' is doing the VL09, would this command: SUBMIT program USER 'BIZTALK' via jobname etc... actually change the username from user ABC(without authorization) to user BIZTALK(with authorization) so that no authorization failure would happen?

CALL a report from WDA using SUBMIT to sap-spool

I need to call a report from one of the methods of a WDA application.
The out of this report is a sapscript. I want show it in WDA (PDF).
The report is called when a user clicks EXECUTE button.

Hi Silvio,
a submit REPORT to spool does work from WDA.
ONLY when "and return" is used.
You have that, so it should work.
Note you had print immediate on, so it will be output on printer,
and not available to read after the call.
(which option was the keep after print?, I would have to check docu)
The sy-calld will be set to X inside the REPORT when it is running.
After the submit has run back inside WDA it is of course reset to space again.

Issue in submit program via background. data is not appearing in spool.

i am submitting a program in bachground. the output data needs to be written in the spool.
when i try using my ID i am getting desired result. when others execute it it is going to printer instead of spool as they have default printers assigned to them. i tried defaulting print parameters to a dummy printer. still the problem is not solved.

Submit...to Spool in background, ALV Grid

Hello,
I am trying to using the SUBMIT to SPOOL statement for SAP std. program RKPEP003.
Now this works well when i execute in the foreground mode but doesnt work in the background mode, it gives an error "Make an Entry in All Required fields"
RKPEP003 output is ALV Grid, so is this the probable reason or something else becoz the code works fine in the foreground mode

Issue in submit program

Hi all,
The following is the issue in submit program:
I am calling two programs /PBS/RIQMEL20 ( /pbs/iw59 ) and /PBS/RIAUFK20 ( /pbs/iw39 ) using submit programs in my z program.
I have created a layout /ZDEL56 for both programs. If I run submit program for /PBS/RIAUFK20 ( /pbs/iw39 ) I am getting the o/p in desired format ( As specified in the layout ).
How ever for program /PBS/RIQMEL20 ( /pbs/iw59 ) submit program is giving an error saying that layout is not found.
There is no difference b/w these two programs except that submitting program name is different.
The txn /pbs/iw59 when executed in background is giving the desired result. But when I try using submit program it is failing.
Can you please tell what mite be the problem?
Following is the sample piece of code.
submit /PBS/RIQMEL20
with pbs_apar EQ '1'
WITH VARIANT EQ '/ZDEL56'

Hi,
In this case you need to use another internal table which is of type S_VBELN . Ex : it_vbeln.
In that you have to append the record
wa_vbeln-sign = 'I'
wa_vbeln-option = 'EQ'
wa_vbeln-low = w_inv.
append wa_vbeln to it_vbeln.
now use this
submit B VIA SELECTION-SCREEN
with P_DAYS = '4'
with P_KALSM = 'ZATCIN'
with S_VBELN = it_vbeln.
Now the new record will be appended with the values which are passing,. SO u wil have two rows in the S_VBELN.

How to get variant of SUBMIT program to the main program.

In my ZFRFI00R_PRINT_DOCUMENTS program i am using
SUBMIT zfrfi01r_alv_fi_document
using SELECTION-SET sp_vari
with p_comp = gw_bkpf_key-bukrs
with p_year = gw_bkpf_key-gjahr
with p_doc = gw_bkpf_key-belnr
and return.
So in the main program i created one layout field to get the what are all the layouts in the SUBMIT program.
I am using FMs 'REUSE_ALV_VARIANT_DEFAULT_GET' , 'REUSE_ALV_VARIANT_F4' to get default layout from the SUBMIT program.
It is not showing the layouts which are in the SUBMIT program when i press F4 in the layouy input field in the selection screen of the main program.
Can anyone help in this regard?

Altering copied SAP report layout

I've copied SAP std report from investment management (in IME2) to create my own layout. I've copied the report and form, and have alterred the form to my liking.
When I execute the report, the summary section at the bottom of the report appears correctly, but the middle section doesn't show the same columns.
I can't find where this is controlled/stored. How do I get into the centre section of the report layout to alter the column layouts and bring in my new columns when the report executes.
Can anyone tell me how I get into this area of a report to configure the column layout

No I've checked throughout Report painter/writer, and its not there. Style wise, it appears to be more of a Profitability Analysis report.
I've managed to create my own copy of SAP standard report S_ALR_87012825, with a modified form that gives me what I nee at the bottom summary section. I've spent hours trying to get into the middle section, but just can't find a way.
the nearest I got was in IME2, where I can right click on the program name, and choose "Layout Display", but there doesn't seem to be any editing options where I can alter the columns in the middle section of the report, which I basically want to replicate the summary section at the bottom.
