Submit webform as case from event module

So as most BC people will know, any webform implemented on an event will actually subscribe the person as an attendee to the event.
What I'm trying to accomplish, is to add a secondary form, so people can submit their details and receive a brochure for that event, not yet subscribe to it! So the webform's autoresponder will send upon completion, containing a link to the brochure.
My problem is though that the secondary form is subscribing them to the event, instead of treating it as a regular form. Anyone know of workarounds or how to force a webform to function like a regular webform?

Yes. It is possible to call ur custom program using SUBMIT statement.
1. If u have data to pass then build table type RSPARAMS and use below statement.
data:
      rspar_tab TYPE TABLE OF rsparams,
      rspar_line LIKE LINE OF rspar_tab,
SUBMIT report1 WITH SELECTION-TABLE rspar_tab
               AND RETURN.
1. If u want to create variant to the program and use that. use the below statement .
SUBMIT report1 USING SELECTION-SET 'VAR1' "variant
               AND RETURN.

Photos in library missing from Events? I have a solution

This is a continuation from an answered question here: https://discussions.apple.com/message/15830476#15830476, but with a new twist and a solution that I found myself. Hope it helps others:
After doing a corrupt library rebuild, I noticed some photos missing from events but still existing in the library. Read the above discussion for full background then come back if you'd like.
I found photos that I could see in "Photo" view but could not see in "Events" view. I even chose one particular photo by filename. When I searched for it while in "events" view, it appeared as the sole result but it did not have an event name above it like it should have (check this by searching for a photo by name while in "Events" view). It was just sitting there like a sad eventless orphan. So I grabbed that photo with my mouse pointer and dragged it over to the navigator bar and dropped it on "Events". And this worked! I now had a new event with only that photo in it and the event was named the same name as the photo. Now the photo was magically back in Events. Since this problem was occurring with a lot of photos we took over the last month and they were intermingled by date with other photos taken over the last month (from other cameras or imported from email attachments) that were correctly in "Events", then I went to the photo view, grabbed a whole bunch of photos, many of which were not in an event and some that were, and dragged them over to the "Events" item in the tree and dropped them on it. It gave me a warning like "These photos cannot be in two events at the same time so they will all be moved into a new event" with an option to "Cancel" or "Create". I hit create and oila, I had a new event that graciously adopted all the sad orphan photos and also kidnapped some photos from other events too. I just went in, reorganized them back to proper places (thank goodness they were all recent and there were only 250 or so and not 1000s) and I am happy. Provided this works in the long term, it was an interesting workaround for a bug that I don't know the cause and I'm glad to share with all of you.
By the way, I'm using Snow Leopard and iPhoto 09' with all the lasted software updates on an Intel iMac Core 1 Duo.

By the way, I was able to confirm now (I think) that all photos in the library are assigned to events by looking at the totals in "Photos" and matching it with the sum of photos and movies when "Events" is selected. Unfortunately, I didn't check to see if this was also the case before I did my fix, but if anyone is missing photos in Events that are definitely visible in the Photos view, please check these to sets of numbers and see if you can identify the discrepancy before applying my fix. That would be good proof of the bug.

How to create a generic datasource from function module?

Dear experts,
I have created a generic datasource from function module. For this extrator, I created a function module and a structure.
I have now some difficulties to continue:
In this function module, i get data from different transparent tables. Then i put these data into an internal table.
I just don't know what is the relatioin between the structure i defined and this internal table.
I should make "iTab structure AA" in the source code?

Generic Extraction via Function Module

1. Create s structure with the fields that you need from the 4 tables . Activate.
2. Goto SE 80 Select The Function Group , Copy , Select the Function module
" RSAX_BIW_GET_DATA_SIMPLE " and Give a New name starting With

3. SE37 ->Your Function module name -> Change , In table tab give your structure
name by deleting the associated type given in " XXXX " .
4. Now select source code and Do the coding . Give Data source name in Coding .
In your case you have to take data from more that 1 table .
5. Activate the Function Group .
6. In RSO2 Create the Data source , Give the Function Module Name , And Save.
7. RSA3 -> Give data source name and Check for the Records .
Creation of custom datasource. (Using function module)
.Create a function group .
. Structure ZTXXXX
Create function module (i.e. ZTESTXXX) .
. Create the data source using transaction (RSO2).
. If structure exists for the table parameter of your function module then ok else create a structure for the table parameter .
Test the datasource in R/3 using transaction RSA3.
Transfer the data source to BW System and replicate it in the BW-System.

PL/SQL from Application Module instead of Using VO/EO - Violating Standard?

Hi,
I have seen product code which Use PL/SQL APIs for committing data (Creation of Records in Table) from Application Module. There is no BC4J (VO/EO) used in this data route.
Is there any coding standard (document) which says such cases are against Standards.I know there is one Standard saying PL/SQL Based VO is dicouraged in Oracle Apps.

Vikram,
Performance depends on the way you are going to make use of pl/sql code. Suppose if you are using pl/sql just for final insert/update with other validations bound to it through a single call, that's fine. But in case you have other multiple calls to pl/sql blocks also for fetching data for display purpose, that's where standard VO's will be more efficient reducing the number of trip for pl/sql calls. So use it only when it is the last way and you need to handle multiple validations with complex data structure.
As for locking, yes, you might have to take care of locking handling scenario if such a situation happens. But again it depends on what's your business logic and how is your data being processed.

OBPM1 & OBPM3 event modules clarification ?

OBPM1 & OBPM3 are DME related tcodes.
CZSK-CITISK-D and CZSK-CITISK-F are payment medium formats we used.
In OBPM1 - we are provided with the 0, 20, 25, 30 , 40 Event modules from SAP.
In OBPM3 - we maintained the 6, 21, 31 , 41 ( as suggested by SAP for grouping of invoices )
Does the event modules in 2 places has to be same ???
If we maintain different event modules in OBPM1 and OBPM3 does it have any effect on the System Performance when we run the payment program ?
When ever we run the payment run in Production its taking very long time than it has to take. it happend one tine in test system..but not often.
People working in production system are in Czech country.

Provide Asynchornous Webservice from Function Module

Hi!
I need to create a webservice to provide master data. My scenario do not use Process Integration, so I create the webservice from function module (Remote-Enable Module) through SE80.
When service is created I can see in the configuration tag that is not possible to change to asynchronous mode.
I want to create asynchronous webservice because I need to return master data. Selecting this data consume a lot of time, so in order to avoid timeouts I think is better to create asynchronous webservice.
May be I am wrong but I think is not possible to create async webservice without PI.
All documents I have read until now show async comunication through PI and using proxy clients but I have not found the case I am talking.

I think I'm confusing about synchronous / asynchronous concept in webservices. I need an example or an explanation where I can understand it. Taking account that I do not have PI, where scenario I'm moving in?
I mean, is it possible that an external client calls my webservice created through FM in async mode? Maybe is the client who has to create the corresponding call to the webservice in async mode and I have to do anything.
Another question related, what does it means the propierty sync/async in a proxy?
I do not understand your sugestion since I think that proxy creaton is relevant in case of the connecting SAP with an external system (I tried it and I have to inform an URL o WSDL).
All documents I have readed have been in the context of PI and I think my case is more simply.
Any more suggestions, links or ideas?

While there are often many ways to accomplish the same thing, Case structures and Event structures serve different purposes. Straight from the Help file:
Case Structure
Has one or more subdiagrams, or cases, exactly one of which
executes when the structure executes. The value wired to the selector terminal
determines which case to execute and can be Boolean, string, integer, or
enumerated type. Right-click the structure border to add or delete cases. Use
the Labeling tool to enter value(s) in the case selector label and configure the
value(s) handled by each case.
Event Structure (Not in Base Package)
Has one or more
subdiagrams, or event cases, exactly one of which executes when the structure
executes. The Event structure waits until an event happens, then executes the
appropriate case to handle that event.
Right-click the structure border to add new event cases and configure which
events to handle. Wire a value to the Timeout
terminal at the top left of the Event structure to specify the number of
milliseconds the Event structure should wait for an event to occur. The default
is –1, indicating never to time out.

Case structure/event counting

Thanks so much everyone for your help. I was
able to get it to work. I now have a second question that I have been
wrestling with on my program for some time. I am hoping to be able to
count the number of times each event happens, be it >0, <0 or 0.
So far, I haven't been having a lot of luck on figuring this out.
The
way my program works is that the case structures control the opening of
solenoid valves. I am running a while loop to keep the program running,
but would like to be able to at least count the number of times each of
the cases are true in an effort to figure out the amount of time each
of the solenoids is open during a run.
What I really need
to do is be able to run each case for a maximum of 10 minutes each, and
then stop the case from running. I know this is an in depth problem,
but simply counting the number of times each of the cases run would be
a huge start for me.

You need three different counters, one for each event. Right now you increment the same number, irrespective of case, so you might as well do this outside the case structure or even just use the iteration terminal. Also, the counter should be blue (I32). You also need to initialize the shift registers.
Here's a simple example (LabVIEW 8.0) that uses an array of three elements to keep count of the three cases. See if this makes sense.

Run test case from command line

Hi All,
Working environment : VS 2013 professional
Project type : Unit test project for (Windows 8.1 and Windows phone 8.1)
I have a set of unit test cases and want to run it on command line.I tried MSTest.ext and vstest.console.exe for running test case but not succeed.
command :  MSTest.exe /testcontainer:path of project dll
command :  vstest.console.exe path of project dll
Type of Error
Error : Unit test case for windows store and windows phone app can't be run outside appcontainer.
Error : No tests to execute
command :  MSTest.exe /testcontainer:path of appx
command :  vstest.console.exe path of appx
Error : root certificate error
I just want to run windows 8.1 and windows phone 8.1 run test cases from command line.

Based on your issue, as far as I know that if we want to run unit test for windows store and windows phone app using mstest.exe or vstest.console.exe in command line, you will need to execute the .appx instead of the dll in command line.
In addition, I tried to run the appx for unit test in command line,
but I found that I also get the same issue as yours. I could not execute the appx for unit test in command line successfully. But if we run it with VS IDE in Test
Explorer windows, it seems that it works fine.

Newbie question about extracting data from events

i am sure there is a simple solution to this, but I am getting frsutrated trying to extract useful data from an event:
I have set up and event listner, whatching for CHANGE on a HorizontalList
so far so good, event handler called when a list item is clicked, and the event is passed, but what is the syntax for getting the in particular the columnIndex, which can tantalising be seen as part of the event in debug.

causes this runtime error:
ReferenceError: Error #1069: Property columnIndex not found on mx.controls.HorizontalList and there is no default value.

First it would be better to cast your event in the proper class. In this case the event is a ListEvent. ListEvent extends Event so your code will work but be harder to maintain.
Your problem is that you're trying to access the columnIndex property on the event.target instead of the event itself. The event.target is the component on which the action was performed, here it's a HorizontalList, and the list does not have a columnIndex property.
Try this :
public function showGroupTab(event:ListEvent):void{
     var a:int= event.columnIndex;

Quality issue when moving clips from events to project

When I drags clips or parts of clips from events to my project, the quality drops significantly (blocking).
Original clip (H264 encoded SD video) is fine, when imported into imovie it is still fine when skimmed/viewed in the event but as soon as draged into the project, the quality is bad (when skimmed/viewed in the project) and blocking occurs, especially in dark parts of the video. Of course this bad quality remains on the exported video :-(((
Any idea where this might come from and how to overcome it ?

Apologies for bumping this again, but I'm getting the same issue and I'm wondering if it's the original HD files that are incompatible in imovie. It's odd that only a few of us are reporting it.
I'm capturing HD video in mov format (motion jpeg) from a panasonic FZ5 still camera. The footage has been imported via iphoto. It's 30fps - not the native uk frame rate - but I can't change this on the camara. When I edit in imovie, I get the same massive drop in quality as soon as I move an event to the timeline. Blocking especially on blocks of colour. This happens on playback from the timeline within imovie and on export. I've tried creating a project in both pal format and ntsc in case the frame rate is the issue. No joy. In Final cut the problem seems not to exist, but I'd prefer to manage these very simple home movies in imovie.
I'm now wondering whether to switch to a different still camera like the newer panasonics or sony hx5 as these capture in avchd (presumably 25/50 fps if sold in uk) and might get over the problem. any thoughts?
