Subscribed Reports through E-Mail

One of the app uses an SSRS server at http://blah_blah.com . I am able to subscribe to reports only if I want them sent to a network share. Is it possible to activate the feature to send subscribed reports via email?

Please refer this forum post.  http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/sqlserver/en-US/526dd202-251c-4588-a8ac-39638be8c875/ssrs-2008-email-delivery-option-not-showing?forum=sqlreportingservices

  • Sending report through e-mail

    This is my procedure through which i m sending an e-mail. In my e-mail i want to show formatted output from query.(?) I can show it in simple text but i want the output for the query to be formatted as the query result is formated in iSQLPlus.
    In simple words instead of the message i want to send the query result which is formatted as iSqlPlus query output. Thankx in advance. Please provide a simple solution that iSqlPlus engine recieves my any given query and gives the formatted output for that query in the e-mail
    Or suggest any implemented code for mailing the formatted query result through mail.
    Thankx in advance

    Justin:
    There is a function where you submit a query and this function output is formatted table data, but problem is how to store that output of a function in a variable
    Declare
    V_Temp Boolean;
    Begin
    v_Temp := OWA_UTIL.tableprint( ctable => 'tbl_log', cattributes => 'BORDER=1', ntable_type => OWA_UTIL.pre_table);
    I want to store the output of this function explained in above code in a variable (variable is in a procedure. I want to get this output in a variable coz i want to forward this output to a mail procedure, which will mail this data).
    The output is: -
    <PRE>
    | Col1 | Col2 | Col3 |
    | 2000 | 4000 | 5000 |
    | 2000 | 4000 | 5000 |

    well you will have to configure a default mail client on your machine. you can do this by going to control panel->mail in windows os.
    you might also need a .dll file mapi*.dll something. you will need this .dll file in your client machine.
    best of luck

  • Acknowlegment of PO sent through E mail & report for the same

    Hi SAP Experts,
    We have started sending PO through E Mails.Now our client have requirement that they should receive acknowledgement from vendor about the receipt of PO & also should able to generate report vendor wise about the receipts of PO.Currently we are on SAP 4.7.
    Is it possible to map this requirement?

    Hi,
    Upon receiving the acknowledgement the buyer should update the same in the confirmations Tab using the appropriate confirmation control.
    Then monitoring can be done using ME92F.
    If this needs to be automated, then you need to consider the mode of receiving the acknowledgement electronically and accordingly do a development to update the same in PO.
    Hope this helps.

  • Not able to generate report through EM.

    Hi All,
    one of the clients wants us to create a database report through EM.
    We are in the process of creating the tablespace information report.
    we havent created report through EM before.
    Please find the below which we followed to create the report.
    1. click report -->create-->
    2. in the element tab
    I select element--> add -->
    In set parameter tab, I run this query
    select tablespace_name as tbname, sum(bytes)/1024/1024 as size_mb from dba_data_files group by tablespace_name;
    When i try to run the report, I am getting an error table or view does not exist.
    This is the correct query when i ran the same query on db, i see the o/p.
    Please also let me know how to configure the e-mail with report.
    Your assistance is this regards is much appreciated.
    Thanks and Regards,

    if you run your query against the repository database you will get the error while the user MGMT_VIEW in the repository database doesn't have any
    privileges on dba_data_files (I'm using OEM/GC 10g - at least in this version the user MGMT_VIEW is used).
    If you want to run your query against a target database you have only these choice: create a public database link for that target database.
    select tablespace_name as tbname, sum(bytes)/1024/1024 as size_mb from dba_data_files@target_db group by tablespace_name;
    On the other hand you could use the repository of the OEM/GC to get some informations about the tablespaces of a target database.
    Please check:
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E11857_01/em.111/e12135/toc.htm => Part II Reference => 7 Management Repository Views
    For your purpose the view MGMT$DB_DATAFILES in the SYSMAN repository might be a good choice...

  • Sending purchase order through e-mail

    Hi,
    I need to send purchase order in PDF through e-mail. I know it is possible to automatically have it sent to the vendor, but my requirement is different. PO is created as conversion of PREQ, so I need to send it not to vendor directly, but to the PREQ creator first (for possible corrections etc.) Is this somehow possible? I'm using exit EXIT_SAPMM06E_020 where I'd like to paste call to the function module (in update task), which would send the e-mail.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Smartform - PDF attachment through E-mail issue

    Hi,
    A custom form and custom program was created to print the Purchase order information through ME21N, 22n and 23n.
    It also has E-mail option. when output medium 5(Simple mail) and 7(External send), email will be send to respective mail-id's with the PDF attachment.
    I have issue at the time of saving PO which processed with medium 5. when i save A popup appears "Express document update was terminated received from author". Brief message about it is
    "Error Info... 00 671: ABAP/4 processor: COMMIT_IN_POSTING"
    In Smartform driver program i am using below function modules to convert OTF into PDF and send through e-mail.
    Function Module: CONVERT_OTF.
    Function Module: SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1.
    I am not sure, what i missed out. Can you guys tell is this the correct way to send PDF attachment through E-mail or i missed out any function module for commit.
    Regards,
    Hemanth.

  • Emailing report through CMS (ScheduleToSMTP) - Need Multi-format support

    Hi All,
    I have implemented the ScheduleToSMTP method for sending my crystal report as an email attachment to the users. This has been done as described in the below link(s):
    http://devlibrary.businessobjects.com/businessobjectsxi/en/en/BOE_SDK/boesdk_dotNet_doc/doc/boesdk_net_doc/html/NETHowTos92.html
    http://devlibrary.businessobjects.com/businessobjectsxi/en/en/BOE_SDK/boesdk_dotNet_doc/doc/boesdk_net_doc/html/NETHowTos95.html
    Now, I would like to know if it is possible to have the report attached in two formats (PDF and Excel) in a single email while emailing it by the above method.
    Also, I would like to understand if I can add any additional attachments (an image maybe) to this email that goes out through the CMS.
    I am new to the Crystal SDK and will appreciate if the response is a little descriptive.
    Thanks in advance for the help!
    Regards
    Ankit

    I'm not sure if the below approach will work for you, but in a nut shell, you'd export the report to disk, then  mail the exported report as an attachment. I have done this with a single attachment when I was fooling around with this couple of years ago, not sure if it will work with multiple attachments... Some think to keep in mind too; the reports can get quite large. A report larger then 5 megs is nothing out of the ordinary, so emailing the rpt may be an issue from that perspective. Anyhow, here is the code to attach a file to email:
    Visual Basic Example (C## is also provided below)
    'Add the following namespaces
    Imports CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine
    Imports CrystalDecisions.Shared
    Imports System.IO
    ' Code for exporting the report to PDF and
    ' attaching the exported file to an email.
    Dim crExportOptions As ExportOptions
    Dim crDiskFileDestinationOptions As
    DiskFileDestinationOptions
    Dim ExportPath As String
    ' Create an instance of the Report
    Dim oRpt As New NameOfYourReport()
    ' Or open a report file
    Dim oRpt1 As New ReportDocument()
    oRpt1.Load(Request.PhysicalApplicationPath +
    "\YourReport.rpt";,
    OpenReportMethod.OpenReportByTempCopy)
    ' Create the directory path if it does not already
    ' exist
    ExportPath = Request.PhysicalApplicationPath +
    "Exported\"
    If Directory.Exists(ExportPath) = False Then
    Directory.CreateDirectory(Request.PhysicalApplicatio
    nPath + "Exported\")
    End If
    Dim fname As String
    fname = ExportPath + "Portabledoc.pdf";
    ' Set the path for the exported report
    crDiskFileDestinationOptions = New
    DiskFileDestinationOptions()
    crDiskFileDestinationOptions.DiskFileName = fname
    ' Set the options to export the report to PDF format
    crExportOptions = oRpt.ExportOptions
    With crExportOptions
    .DestinationOptions =
    crDiskFileDestinationOptions
    .ExportDestinationType =
    ExportDestinationType.DiskFile
    .ExportFormatType =
    ExportFormatType.PortableDocFormat
    End With
    ' Export the report
    oRpt.Export()
    Response.Write("report exported to: " & fname)
    ' Create a new mail attachment and add the
    ' exported report
    Dim att As New Mail.MailAttachment((fname))
    Dim oMsg As New System.Web.Mail.MailMessage()
    oMsg.Attachments.Add(att)
    ' Set the To, From, And subject for the email
    oMsg.To = "someonesemail at email.com"; // the system will not let me use real email
    oMsg.From = "myemail at mail.com "

    How can I send purchase order through SAP mail ? Can any one explain whts the NACE settings?

    just  do it as  <b>Anji reddy</b> said to you   ...or else  ...  in the purchase  order trascation  ...print it  ... so that  it will generate the spool request  for that  purchase  order  ....
    so the   the belwo program is for sending <b>the Spool   Request  data   as  Email  to  any Email id  ...</b>
    The code below demonstrates how to retrieve a spool request and email it as a PDF document. Please note for the below program to process a spool request the program must be executed in background otherwise no spool request will be created. Once you have had a look at this there is an modified version of the program which works in both background and foreground. Also see transaction SCOT for SAPConnect administration.

  • BEx Broadcasting through e-mail, using dynamic variant

    Dear SAP Gurus,
    I'm new to SAP-BI, I came across the following situation:
    I've a query based on which the reports are being generated.
    My client wants to broadcast it every month, as they don't have any portal, so it has to be done through e-mail.
    the query has 3 system variable which are FISCALYEAR and CALDAY, i dont remember 3rd.
    So, I've to create DYNAMIC VARIANT, I tried the following procedure but its not working.
    http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/9075b11a-6e43-2c10-b7be-cfa0e97ec0cc?QuickLink=index&overridelayout=true
    please help me.

    Hi shivsam  ,
    1. What you need is dynamic filling the variant value.
    2. In transaction SE38 enter the variant name
    3.choose the attributes  button.
    4. Here you can set the field to u201Cselection variable.u201D
    5.Then you can define something like  SY-DATUM(4)  for fiscal year and in the same way for calday SY-DATUM+6(2) .
    Hope this will help .
    Regards,
    Jaya Tiwari
