Subscription showing as processed but Skype will n...

Hi,
Just purchased a 300min subscription, received the email showing it processed and attached to my acount. Problem is that any outgoing call I try to make (within my country mobile or landline) fails with an error message telling me I need credit or a subscription.
I'm pretty unimpressed cause it's taken me 2 hours of my Saturday to get this far after 'can't connect' issues, uninstalls, reinstalls and renaming of appdata folders. Then attempting to use the 'premium' online support service only to be told that it's not available atm.
Please advise or refund.

I was able to see the same page.  The top is the extension of the ability to search the Skype premium plans  for mobile and local.  That is why it has the "Check destinations" search button.  After a search is performed the output is displayed below.  The graphic of the phone receiver signifies landlines.  Had the graphic of a mobile been next to the phone receiver, it would mean mobiles were covered as well as landlines.  Had you performed a search for other countries in which mobiles were covered, I have no doubt the graphic changes.   It is the subsequent page that would definitely explicitly state it in writing so there would be no confusion.  Similar to when you make any online purchase and there is a subtotal with tax and shipping and a description of what you are purchasing. 
I have attached the page I see on my end which to me is better than the Australian layout.  It follows a similar rule which displays separate graphics for mobiles and landlines and a search on the top (not shown).  Even with this layout people still make assumptions based off other text found on the site.  I personally agree it could be laid out better.  However that final confirmation is what people tend to ignore and click through but it is the most important page as it lets you know exactly what you are paying for.

I have pro tools and other hi tech gear in the pro keyboards/sequencing arena where I've been writing computer music since 80's and it's evolution.

    The Apple video app is very limited in what it will play. If you have multiple video formats and if they will play on an iPad, then you likely need a 3rd party vidoe app. One such is BUZZPlayer which is available in the iTunes App Store on a Mac or PC or from the App Store app on an iOS device.
    You transfer the videos to 3rd party video apps using iOS File Sharing.

    I can't find that printer on the canon eu support website (canon uses model numbers on that site, not series designations) , and canon printers are not easy to get to work well on archlinux.
    However there are 2 aur packages that provide the UFRII driver :
    - cndrvcups-lb (built from source)
    - cndrvcups-lb-bin (uses the binaries)

  • Paid for $30 12 month subscription on 5/12 but Skype won't make a call...

    So I had a Skype number in an area code I no longer wanted so the subscription ran out and I bought a new subscription with a new number for $30 on 5/12 and the order was delivered. I even made a test call and the new number showed up on the caller ID. Today would have been the end of the other subscription I guess and now Skype isn't working at all. I go to make a call and a pop up saying "You need Skype Credit or a Subscription to make a call". What gives?

  • My internet won't work but skype will

    I have tried both wired and wireless connections.  It says connected but my browsers and ichat will not open, however Skype will connect and even let me video chat.  I am running on Snow leopard on a 2010 macbook pro.
    I have tried using diagnostics, but to no avail, it cannot find a problem.  I have tried to ping, but there is no connection.  I do not have access to the modem, I just plug the ethernet into the wall.
    Help help help help!!  I am out of ideas!!!

    Do you have a choice of more than one wireless network?  If you hold down an "option" key when you pull down the AirPort menu bar item, what value do you see for "RSSI"?

  • Firefox will show in processes but will not actually open. Must force close and reopen in safe mode to run. Can not reset, freezes.

    Everything that I know is listed in the original question.

    It is possible that your security software (firewall, anti-virus) blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
    Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

  • I tunes doesnt work since new update. shows in processes but no window displays.

    Running windows 7 premium(it is a legit copy). it seems to me that every itunes update that i do,seems to make itunes NOT work on my computer. the only way for me to get it to work is to litterally reboot windows 7 on to my computer....ive dont this 4 times in the last 6 to 12 months. have to reset my computer completly just to get one file to work. im not doing that this time. i know its not my computer cuz everything runs perfect on my cpu but itunes. i dont care what update it is, this has always been my issue for as long as i can remember . i will click to run as administrator, i tried to netsh ....blah blah reset. i update my computer to all the new updates. i downloaded quicktime i did everything i can find on this support page as possible. im just getting tired of this. my computer will show as if its opening itunes and nothing comes up. ill sart task manager go to process and it shows as if itunes is running. but no window will show. to make things even more frustrating maybe 1 out 10 tries..literally 1 in 10 trys itunes will appear....after i have given up and just do my own thing itunes appears after an hour or so but just freezes. ... any one else having trouble like this or has solved this problem?
    im tired of spending 2 hours to reboot my system and have to get my computer reset and another 2 hours to update and put all my files back on and even if i get itunes t owork i hate sitting here for another hour putting all my music in ths system and another hour for it to be uploaded to my ipod.....
    itunes do your self a favor have your people that work on all itune updates, all so fine tune the windows version update!

    i think i figured it out.. these are the steps i took to getting itunes to work.
    1. uninstall all things apple and itune related items off the computer
          http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1925 (use this file to find all items needing to be deleted and erased from      recycling bin.) (also make sure you do this just as you turn your computer on this way you wont have to worry about exe. files that may not be allowed to delete.)
    2. http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2363 (take these step and instead of deleting just one delete all the files you want no trace of itunes or apple on computer this includes quicktime)
    3.(this step may not be necessary but defrag and disk clean up "C:/" defrager and disk clean up, when using disk cleanup clean all files so check everything off.
    4. Now restart your computer once all files have been cleared and recycle bin has been empty.
    5. before downloading any itunes go to E internet explore not mozilla or any other internet service just use E. go to tools. advance tabs scroll down this list to security. uncheck the box that says (check for server certificate revocation*)
    6.check to make sure in this same location that (use ssl 3.0) and (use tls 1.0) ARE checked.
    7. Mozilla fire fox maybe a better internet service than E its self. so if your using mozilla sorry dont. download itunes from E and do not save just run. install like necessary. when installing i turned off allow automated updates..  let it install.
    Try it it out now. i hope this worked for you as it did for me!!!

    I ran into this exact issue after migrating a time machine backup from an older macbook air to a new macbook pro.
    The following steps solved my issue:
    1) Backup your current mac
    2) Create a new user account on your mac, and login to that account.
    3) While logged into the new user account, right click the time machine drive and select "get info" > Click the lock icon at the lower right corner so that you can make permission changes. Then Click on the "+" sign and add your new user account to the "Sharing & Permissions" window. Be sure to grant your new user "Read & Write" privileges and when you have done so, click on the down arrow and select "apply to enclosed items" This step will allow you to copy the library folder from your old user account to the new account without hitting any permission issues.
    4) Download "TinkerTool" (An application that allows you to enable the viewing of any and all hidden files and folders on your local or mounted hard drives) and check the box that reads "Show Hidden and System Files" and then click "Relaunch Finder.
    5) Lastly copy the Library folder from the older user account on the time machine backup drive to the new user's library folder. Also be sure to copy your Desktop, Documents, Pictures, and Music folders to the new account as well. Open Mac mail and follow the instructions to import the previous accounts mail messages. Once you receive future ics attachments or calendar invites you should be able to click on them and load the proper date and time within your iCal application.
    This worked for me and I hope it works for you.

  • Feed shows 5 episodes but itunes will only show 4.

    I created my feed in Podcast assiatnt, uploaded it to Itunes etc and the podcast was published. At the time it consisted of 4 episodes.
    So when trying to add a new episode I went into the feed and updated it, adding an extra episode.
    What's weird is that the latest episode shows up, but iTunes has deleted one of the other episodes.
    Does anyone have any thoughts on why this might be?

    All six episodes are in the feed and appear when subscribing in iTunes on a Mac. The latest episode appears in the web page for the Store which your link goes to, but not in the Store page in iTunes - as it was only posted yesterday that's not unusual and it should appear in a day or so.
    What is more odd is that the episode of 19th May, which shows when subscribing, does not appear in either version of the Store page. I can't see any reason in the feed why this should be. I can only suggest waiting and seeing if it comes back - it might just be a glitch of some sort.
    There are a couple of minor errors in the feed, though they wouldn't cause this problem. The 'length' attribute inside each 'enclosure; tag should be the file size in bytes (at present it's numbers such as 40.8). Also some of the 'itunes:explicit' tags are 'No' - they should be 'no' - it doesn't really matter as with 'No' they are effectively empty which comes to the same thing (it would matter if it was 'yes').

    When staff is entering time in CAT2, they get an error stating that "Functional Area is Required."
    In IW32 when we open the WO the Functional Area on the Additional Data tab is populated, but when we open the same WO in IW33 the Functional Area field is not populated.
    Any suggestion on why this is occuring.

  • I cannot delete unwanted app from my iPhone 5.  They wiggle and show the X but when I press the X it grays our but will not delete or go back to the home page when I press the home button

    The icons wiggle and show the x but they will not delete when I press the X.  Also the home button will not cancel the action.

    Try doing a hard reset: Press and hold both the Home button and the Sleep/wake button simultaneously for about 15 seconds and release when the Apple logo appears.
    After this, try again to delete the app.
    If that doesn't solve the issue, you could also try backing up the device and restoring the device as new.
    In that case, follow the steps in: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4137
    NB: set up as a NEW device because a software issue will be in the backup. If the issue persists after restoring as new, you should offer the device for service.

    There are a number of other threads from people reporting a problem with a blank Updates tab in the App Store app - it looks like there is a problem at Apple's end which they need to fix.
    Some posts are suggesting that you if you go into the Purchased tab in the App Store app you might be able to update the apps from there, though you will need to scroll through the list to find those with updates and individually update them.
