Subversion repository structure for B2B artifacts

Hi B2B Gurus,
We are going to use Subversion repository for our B2B development. Are there any recomendations/best practices around the structure of Subverion Repository for B2B artifacts?
Any articles to hookup CruseControl for CI?
Thanks,
Datla

Hi Datla,
As you know that Oracle B2B is not based on IDE development so you may not be able to directly check-in the developed artifatcs into version control system from any IDE. Moreover it is based on configuration instead of coding, so you may also not see the developed artifatcs separately rather it generates XML for configuration which is interpreted by B2B engine at design and run time.
So from my point of view, you have two options -
1. Export the configuration (zip file) and store it into version control system as it is, so it would be like versioning the binary artifatcs. Whenever you want, you may import/export configuration from B2B server using ant utility.
2. Export the configuration and unzip it and store the artifatcs into version control system. In this case you have to make sure that you keep the directory structure intact i.e. whatever is the directory structure inside zip, that must not be changed. Whenever you want to deploy a b2b configuration, check out the respective artifatcs and build a zip out of that which must be same as an exported zip and that you can deploy to Oracle B2B server. This option is more tedious and requires a very strong process in place. If your organization has a very strong deployment and version control process in place then you may opt this approach, otherwise stick to the first approach only.
You may use ant commandline utility for import/export of configuration from server and you may also use ant utility for deployment of agreements. Please refer -

Advanced B2B users can also go for self-service API -

    Hi Sarat,
    1. Oracle B2B requires Oracle Application Server - Infrastructure and Middletier. You need to use Oracle Application Server 10.1.2 as it provides both these components. Oracle Application Server 10.1.3 doesn't contain all the Infra & Middle Tier components -
    it only contains :-
    * Oracle HTTP Server
    * Oracle Application Server Containers for J2EE (OC4J)
    * Oracle Enterprise Manager 10g Application Server Control
    * Oracle Business Rules
    * Oracle TopLink
    2. You can download Application Server Integration(10.1.2.0.2) that contains Oracle Integration B2B. You can get more information about the other components at the download page for Oracle Application Server 10.1.2.
    3. You can get information about Oracle B2B at the link :-
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/integration/b2b/index.html
    4. The Quick Start Document at this link should give you a summary about B2B - features, installation, configuration ,etc...:-

  • SAP MDM-GDS repository structure

    Hi,
    Does anybody have any input or knowledge of SAP's direction regarding repository structures for MDM and GDS now that they've begun integrating the functions into the MDM solution the offer?
    At present, whilst the GDS Console is basically just accessing data in an MDM repository, it can't be your core MDM product data repository, but rather it has to be a separate one, set up specifically for GDS and nothing else, and thus it needs to be populated separately.  I am wondering if this is a long term vision, or just a result of the way the package has been developed and that further integration will be forthcoming.
    Any ideas?
    Steve

    Hello lis716
    I'm not recomend working with SAP MDM database directly moreover modify some data at Database level because database structure is close information. (i had expiriens to mass upload users and their roles directly in MDM database, after that operation repository hasn't been started - repair returned a lot of errors and i was very happy when repository has been started)
    You can lost important data because database structure may be modify in any time.
    SAP MDM provide API for different development platforms as is .NET, ABAP, JAVA, COM.
    My suggestion you should use API in your application for connect to data.
    Additional information about API you can find here:

  • Authentication cancelled when trying to connect to Subversion repository

    I'm using JDeveloper version 10.1.3.2.0 along with the "Versioning Support for Subversion" version 10.1.3.40.66.
    I've tried to set up a connection to the Subversion repository by entering the URL (which uses https) and my user name and password. But when I click the "Test Connection" button, the response I get is always "svn: authentication cancelled. Connection test failed."
    Is there some trick to getting the authentication working?
    Thanks in advance,
    --Rob Roberts

    That means the wifi node you are trying to connect to is password protected for an encrypted wifi connection.  You need to know the network password to log on to those wifi networks.
    If this is your own wifi network, then it is the same password you use to connect every other wifi device in the same home.  If you did not set up the network, you need to ask whomever did for the connection password.

  • Source of xslt mapping and XSD/ XMT target structures for standard Idocs

    Hi,
    I am working on R/3 - XI - ICH scenario. I need xslt mapping and XSD/ XML target structures for standard IDoc like PROACT01,DELFOR01, DELVRY03. I tried to search it on marketplace but couldn't find it there. As per configuration document, these things are shipped with XI mapping content in live cache CD. But I don't have this CD with me. Can anybody tell me the source for these target structures and mapping program. ( Please share marketplace, site link or send me across the mail [email protected])
    Thank you in advance.
    Anand More.

    Anand the other option is to import the corresponding idocs into your integration repository and then you can view the generated XSD there.
    As regards XSLT mapping, you need to basically first identify as to what form you want to transform your source idoc into.
    For some help on XSLT mapping check the following threads,

  • What should be the directory structure for new theme

    I want to create a new theme for my BSP pages. Currently all my BSP are using /sap/public/bc/ur/Design2002/themes/sap_tradeshow/ur/ur_ie6.css for styling. I want to create a new theme named testTheme and want to call my bsp pages with sap-themeRoot=testTheme appended to the URL.
    I  am not sure under which directory should I create the new directory. Should I create a  “testTheme” directory to “Design2002” or “ur” or “sap_tradeshow” directory in the MIME repository structure?

    Hi Amit,
    Run the program BSP_UPDATE_MIMEREPOS using SE38 and export the whole theme that you want to base your new theme on (located in /SAP/PUBLIC/BC/UR/Design2002/themes) to a local folder.
    Make your changes locally and then use the program once again to import the new theme folder into the MIME Repository (for example /SAP/ZBSP_THEME/myNewTheme).
    You can find further details in the weblog - /people/sap.user72/blog/2005/04/12/bsphowto-css-hints--custom-design-for-your-bsp-applications

  • How can I restore a deleted directory in Subversion Repository to use Data Modeler?

    Hello,
    i search a solution to restore a deleted Directory in Subversion Repository. But i can't find a button, menu item or documentation.
    I'm on WIN7 and use Data Modeler 4.0.3.853 and Developer 4.0.3.16.84.
    Thanks for your help,
    Kathrin

    Hi Philip,
    thanks for your help. I know this solution on the command line. But ... i have to teach my co-workers to use data modeler, developer and Subversion. They have only these Software on their pc's and i hope for a uncomplicated solution directly in data modeler, because they are a menu item, which to click open the window. But you can't do anything.
    The Folder "WoP" was deleted directly under root. My idea was as follows:
    1. I use "Show log" to find the right revision.
    2. I checked out the whole repository "Schulung" for the right revision.
    3. Into my workind copy folder are "WoP" on the right revision (235).
    4. I create a new folder "WoP" on "Schulung" and checkout it
    5. I open the WoP.dmd and save it on checked out folder "WoP" to add version control.
    Handicap: Subversion recognize "WoP" as "NEW" not as "RESTORE"
    But i don't use the comand line for svn respectively i haven't to teach my data modeler user in command line svn.
    Do you evaluate other problems or handicaps for "my way"?
    Do you know if will there be more user-friendly option in the Data Modeler in the future?
    Thanks and greets,
    Kathrin

  • How to create new bol structure for custom ztable.

    Hi gurus,
    I am new to SAP CRM 2007. I have a requirement in which I need to create a view which will retreive data from my custom z table. But when you create a view , the wizard ask for Model nodes and, Bol entity, Bol relation etc. Kindly let me know what data I need to enter here so that I can relate to my custom table. I think I need to create a bol structure for my ztable. Kindly guide me in this regard.
    Thanks & Regards,
      Sanjay

    I would recommend to rather use an encapsulation of the ztable into BOL than just trying to work with value nodes because it heavily simplifies building of the UI and code to load, edit and save.
    In order to achieve this you would either have to build a genIL component and assign it to the BOL component set addressed in the runtime repository of the UI component to make it available on the UI layer.
    If your table is very simple and does not require relations etc. you might save some work using the approach via "Simple Objects" concept of BOL which provides a pretty generic impelmentation that requires much less code and deep understanding of the BOL/ genIL.
    Pleasse refer to the respective IMG node under
    Customer Relationship Management -> CRM Cross-Application Components -> Generic Interaction Layer/ Business Object Layer -> Component-specific Settings
    Hope this helps.

  • Four layered package structure for ABAP proxies

    Hi
    I am trying to generate an outbound ( client ) abap proxy in our WAS 640 based ERP system by pointing to a XI message interface on the XI integration repository. I have a single package ZPROXY ( not a main or a structure package ) created in our ERP system to hold the proxy structures ( classes, interfaces ). I have this package assigned to a transport layer ( a common transport layer through which other ABAP objects are to be transported ). Is it really necessary to have a four layer package structures for proxies to be transported and work in the QA/Production system ?

    Hi Sudheer,
    Can you pls clarify what do you mean by 'four level package structure' ?
    Are you referring to the ABAP structures that get created during creating the proxy by SPROXY transaction ? These structures get automatically created. We simply have to write the code using these structures.
    Or do you mean the 'package' which is mandatory to create a transportable ABAP object ? i.e. transport from Development to Staging and then Production.

  • Problems using a local Subversion repository in XCode 3.0

    I'm trying to get XCode to point to my local SVN, but no luck.
    I get the error "Error: 180001 (Couldn't open a repository) Description: Unable to open an ra_local session to URL"
    I'd tell myself "learn to setup/reference a SVN repository", but I've been using this SVN install for over a year through Eclipse doing Java development. I've also pulled it up svnX with no issues. Why is XCode balking at my connection info?
    My URL is "file:///usr/local/svn". Any ideas?

    ericmeyers wrote:
    Maybe it's the repository format ?
    Or maybe the permissions on the repository, and the directories above it, since it's in /usr/local? My repositories are all in a folder in a user's Documents folder.
    I just set up Xcode with a local Subversion repository and it worked for me, too. Though I just tested checking out, not checking in, since I did it with a real repository and I didn't want to mess it up too much. Try posting the exact steps you're taking and where you get the error.
    You'll definitely need to use three slashes (file:///usr/local/svn) to get to your repository. If you just use two, you most likely will have a problem, as the first two are for the file URL, and the third one is the actual root directory on the drive, if that makes sense.

  • Comitting File Deletions to Subversion Repository

    We use Subversion 1.6.9 with Dreamweaver CS6 to maintain version control on all our web site files.  I need to delete files in my local web site workspace and commit those deletions to the Subversion repository.  The instructions provided on the Adobe help pages don't seem to be in sync with the actual behavior of Dreamweaver CS6.
    I select the file I want to delete in the Files dialog (set to Local View) and press the Delete key on my keyboard.  The "Delete Subversion Assets" dialog appears.  I click the "Delete from Version Control" button.  In the Files dialog, a red minus sign appears to the left of the name of the file I deleted.  This all seems consistent with the available Adobe documentation.  I then right click the file name, select "Version Control" in the popup menu, then select "Commit" submenu item.  A dialog appears bearing the message, "Nothing to do for this operation."  Nevertheless, the file remains in the Subversion repository.
    Question:  What is the correct way to go about deleting a file locally in Dreamweaver and then commit that change to Subversion?

    Hi, Preran.
    Thanks for your response and link.  It appears CS4 had no support for Subversion file deletions.  I had hoped such support would have been added by the release of CS6.
    I may be forced to use a 3rd-party tool, e.g., TortoiseSVN, but wanted to avoid that course of action for fear of creating conflicts with Dreamweaver.
    If you receive additional information from your contacts, please post a reply.
    Many thanks,

  • Migrate AUR towards public subversion repository?

    The following idea has been in my head for some time; I was going to just build it; but I figured some discussion might be useful
    I think the current setup of the AUR doesn't provide the tools for people to maintain a package. I frequently find myself wanting to add something without wanting to maintain it; or wanting to make a minor fix to an existing entry in the AUR. I know the first problem might be solved by disowning the package, but I have an alternative solution I would like your opinion on.
    How about changing the AUR so it would be a web-interface to a subversion repository where everyone can change files in a wiki-like way? This would just be a light webinterface with a simple text-editor area, and some file management tools. The current user-database would be used to verify users, and there would be a single application-account in the svn repository. The application would maintain the relation between commits and users; thereby providing blame functionality to each file. The biggest difference would be that everyone could update every file; with the application providing a complete log of what was changed by who. For external applications to integrate with the AUR, the svn repository could be public read-only.
    What do you think about this setup; feedback is welcome

    rooloo wrote:I think there has to be some way of doing it like git, being able to have multiple branches of the same project. This way one could easily merge updates into the master private branch.
    I was hoping that my suggestion of using subversion would not emerge into a cvs <> svn <> git discussion. What I mean is a versioned file repository and I couldn't care less about the actual implementation

    Yep, so would I. But what does that have to do with the idea I posted?
    Allan wrote:
    I guess the reason I like having a master PKGBUILD that only the maintainer can modify is so people can show their ability to create good PKGBUILDs and eventually become TUs.
    Okay; but wouldn't that be just as visible by the changes they commit, as it would be by the number of packages they add?
    Allan wrote:It also prevents abuse by malicious parties.
    It does, but only a little bit since those parties could upload malicious PKGBUILDS just as well as they could edit existing ones. When locking of packages would be supported; it might defeat the whole idea of packages being publicly maintained.

    Hi,
    According to your post, my understanding is that you want to custom action for context menu in "Site Content and Structure" in SharePoint 2010.
    In "SiteManager.aspx", SharePoint use MenuItemTemplate class which represent a control that creates an item in a drop-down menu.
    For example, to create or delete the ECB menu for a list item in
    "Site Content and Structure", we can follow the steps below:
    To add the “My Like” menu, we can add the code below:
    <SharePoint:MenuItemTemplate
    UseShortId=false
    id="OLListItemLike"
    runat="server"
    Text="My Like"
    ImageUrl="/_layouts/images/DelItem.gif"
    ClientOnClickNavigateUrl="https://www.google.com.hk/"
    />
    To remove the “Delete” menu, we can comment the code below:
    <SharePoint:MenuItemTemplate
    UseShortId=false
    id="OLListItemDelete"
    runat="server"
    Text="<%$Resources:cms,SmtDelete%>"
    ImageUrl="/_layouts/images/DelItem.gif"

  • Proper security structure for Single Sign on Server

    We are all used to how we design security structure for vCenter Server if you have had an existing VMware environment prior to 5.1.  Who should have administrative privileges in vCenter Server, what roles, permissions, and so on should be assigned to what users and groups - these questions have already been addressed in our current configuration.
    Now Single Sign on introduces a significant new point of consideration for determining issues of access and authentication.
    I'd like to get some ideas on how this should be handled.  For example, should previous VMware administrators by definition become Single Sign on Administrators? Should the administrators of the Active Directory domain now start to get involved with the Single Sign on Server?
    For example, Single Sign on now forces VMware administrators to configure things like:
    -Password Complexity Policy for SSO
    -Password Expiration for SSO
    -Lockout Policy
    We already probably have these things tightly controlled in AD and locked down with group policy, but you can't apply group policy directly to an SSO server and make it receive a GPO from Active Directory.  (You can make the Windows OS that SSO is running on have a GPO applied, but it won't configure SSO itself, just the OS).
    VMware admins are looking at a new set of questions relating to authentication and authorization.  Someone has to have written something or will be writing something to help us get the big picture of what is changing with SSO if anything and how we need to look at SSO from a security design and best practices.
    Should we just make existing vCenter Server admins SSO admins or do we need to take a step back and reconsider?

    Hello,
    Actually, yes. SSO is fairly robust in 5.5. It has a few limitations around email of expired passwords, but that is mainly because some people do not use them. I use SSO to provide the usernames and passwords for all my VMware vCenter and related product service accounts. I.e. an account for vdp, Horizon, vCops, Log Insight, etc.  This is more about keeping systems segregated once more with no real need for AD for services. But AD via SSO is used by users.
    Read the documentation, and determine how SSO fits into your current password policy and take a long hard look at your virtualization management environment. Is there a 1 service account per service talking directly to vCenter? If not, SSO can help you implement that. The key is to match its functionality to your security policy.

  • Create a deep structure for dynamic internal table

    Hi All,
    I am creating a dynamic table using method cl_alv_table_create=>create_dynamic_table.
    The normal structure gets created. but now I want to creat a Deep structure for having information of colors also for each column. So I want to add a COLTAB type LVC_T_SCOL for colors information .
    How should I create this using above method?
    Rgds,
    Madhuri

    I created a zcelltab structure as below. But while creating dynamic internal table, I received the error  with
    'Type "ZCELLTAB" is unknown 68 ZCELLTAB-CELLTAB
    Here is the code.
    DATA: BEGIN OF ZCELLTAB,
             CELLTAB LIKE LVC_S_STYL,
         END OF ZCELLTAB.
    FIELD-SYMBOLS <T_CELLTAB> TYPE LVC_T_STYL.
    DATA : LT_CELLTAB TYPE LVC_T_STYL.
    DATA:  WA_CELLTAB TYPE LINE OF LVC_T_STYL.
    DATA: GT_FCAT1 TYPE LVC_T_FCAT,
               GW_FCAT1 TYPE LVC_S_FCAT,
                GT_FCAT2 TYPE LVC_T_FCAT,
                GW_FCAT2  TYPE LVC_S_FCAT.
    After filling the FCAT1, I added the field in FCAT2  like below
      GT_FCAT2[ ] = GT_FCAT1[ ].
      G_TABIX = G_TABIX + 1.
      GW_FCAT2-INTTYPE = 'C'.
      MOVE G_TABIX TO GW_FCAT2-COL_POS.
      GW_FCAT2-OUTPUTLEN = '10'.
      GW_FCAT2-FIELDNAME = 'T_CELLTAB'.
      GW_FCAT2-TABNAME = 'ZCELLTAB'.
      GW_FCAT2-REF_FIELD = 'CELLTAB'.
      GW_FCAT2-REF_TABLE = 'ZCELLTAB'.
      APPEND GW_FCAT2 TO GT_FCAT2
      CLEAR GW_FCAT2.
    While calling the below method, the error with
    CALL METHOD CL_ALV_TABLE_CREATE=>CREATE_DYNAMIC_TABLE
         EXPORTING
          IT_FIELDCATALOG = GT_FCAT2
        IMPORTING
          EP_TABLE        = GT_REQ.
      ASSIGN GT_REQ->* TO <F_TAB>.
      CREATE DATA GWA_REQ LIKE LINE OF <F_TAB>.
      ASSIGN GWA_REQ->* TO <F_WA>.
    LOOP AT ITAB.
    ASSIGN COMPONENT 'MATNR'  OF STRUCTURE <F_WA> TO <F_VAL>
    <F_VAL> = ITAB-MATNR.
    IF ITAB-MATNR IS INITIAL.
    ASSIGN COMPONENT 'T_CELLTAB' OF STRUCTURE <F_WA> TO <T_CELLTAB>
            CLEAR WA_CELLTAB.
            WA_CELLTAB-FIELDNAME = 'MATNR'.
            WA_CELLTAB-STYLE = CL_GUI_ALV_GRID=>MC_STYLE_DISABLED.
            INSERT WA_CELLTAB INTO TABLE <T_CELLTAB>.
    ENDIF.
    APPEND <F_WA> TO <F_TAB>
    ENDLOOP.
    CALL METHOD GR_GRID->SET_TABLE_FOR_FIRST_DISPLAY
            EXPORTING
              I_CONSISTENCY_CHECK  = G_CONSISTENCY_CHECK
              IT_TOOLBAR_EXCLUDING = G_EXCLUDE
              I_SAVE               = G_SAVE
           I_DEFAULT            = 'X'
              IS_LAYOUT            = G_LAYOUT
            CHANGING
              IT_OUTTAB            = <F_TAB>
              IT_FIELDCATALOG      = F_CAT1.
    Please let me know where I was wrong.
    Should I remove the T_CELLTAB as the field name is not mentioned in the structure 'ZCELLTAB'.
    Thanks,
    Kumar.
