  • Compiling java classes from JDeveloper

    Hi guys... perhaps this thred need to be created in JDeveloper fourm, it so please let me know.
    I generated the classes from a web service which complie without errors and exedcute correctly. When trying to compile the main stub in Oracle database, I get an error "CONNOT RESOLVE SYMBOL" reviewing the java class, I see that extends the wrapper generated by Jdev. So I try to complie the extendable class, after trying to generate and compile it in the database, I get the error: "class$ is reserved for internal use" The code has the next line:
    static java.lang.Class class$(java.lang.String param1)
    Is this error launched from the oracle database? My guess is that maybe Im missing some library or something and thats why I can create the such Java Name procedures. But I will like if anyone could guide me through this exception.
    Thanks
    JP

    Do you have .jar (or the .class) files created after the compile from JDeveloper?
    If you do, you can load all of them using the command line utility loadjava:
    $ loadjava
    loadjava: Usage: loadjava [-definer] [-encoding encoding] [-force] [-genmissing] [-genmissingjar jar] [-grant grants] [-help] [-nousage] [-noverify] [-oci8] [-order] [-resolve] [-resolver resolver] [-schema schema] [-synonym] [-thin] [-tableschema schema] [-user user/password@database] [-verbose] classes..jars..resources..properties...

  • How to Pass Java Objects between Web Dynpro and Java SAP iViews

    Basically I have an SAP web dynpro iView that I do stuff with and I want to pass an object to another iView which is just a regular Java iView. From what I've read and tried, I can't just stick something in the session object and hope that the Java iView can pull it down the other end. I had a dream that it was possible (seriously).
    Anyway, are there any possible solutions around? Please advice and share you throughts. I will try to dream about it again tonight and see if its really gonna work this time.
    thanks for your help in advance

    There is no easy way you can pass objects other than those supported by express such as String, map, list etc.
    Though not advised, you can create a class with static variables to handle the storage of such java objects during transition between form and workflow. You will need to somehow identify the objects uniquely .

  • WD Java or WD Abap??

    Hi,
    In latest presentations about EHP4 and ESS/MSS, I came to know that SAP will prefer WDA for writing business applications. Especially with FPM for WDA this seems catching up very fast. If ESS/MSS is re-written in WDA (Labs are too fast at this!), will the WDJ still be having same importance or preference?
    Also if we take typical implementaion scenario - we always have a abap pool developing custom applications using abap workbench, will there be a chance of seeing such java pool developing custom applications using NWDI/CE?
    I have seen NWDI as a pain point in many implementations (not even it is costly the installation and configuration also requires considerable time and effort), is there any chance SAP will ship it free with CE similar to ABAP workbench?
    Earlier I used to hear rumors about abap being replaced by java and within 3 years I am now hearing rumors that abap will continue to rule!
    I dont know if this is right place to put these questions but i found the discussions here very interestingu2026hoping to see a reply.
    Edited by: Paranidharan Gandhi on Oct 15, 2009 1:42 PM

    Hi,
    Correct, SAP intends to convert ESS/MSS to WDA in the next year or so.
    As far as relevance of WDJ is concerned, if you followed the discussion on SDN on BSP vs Web Dynpro, or ABAP vs. JAVA, you'd realise that they don't lead anywhere other than the fact that SAP will keep on investing in ABAP as well as JAVA for foreseeable future. It is the organization's choice which tools they prefer to use for custom development. However, if Oracle does end up acquiring Sun (thus JAVA), SAP might have to come up with a different strategy over the next few years.
    NWDI: I'd presonally suggest moving away from NWDI. CTS+ support is being added to all latest product releases. Unless the organization is involved in serious JAVA development work, value offered by NWDI shoud be evaluated critically.

  • Is there any tutorial for SAP Java Backend Development?

    Hi everyone,
    I am following the "How To - Part 1: Build an Agentry based app from scratch connecting to a SAP ERP back-end" to learn Agentry by myself.
    There are some Java code when creating the Steplet, StepHandler and Bapi that I dont understand. I would like to know if there is any document or tutorial to learn how to write  such Java code. I already know the Agentry stuffs like fetch, step, etc.
    For example, why do we need the processResult or setParameter method? Why do we need JCO.Table? Where is the table "ET_FLT_SCHEDULE"
    public class FlightScheduleBapi extends AbstractFetchBAPI{
    public User user = null;
    public FlightScheduleBapi(User u, GregorianCalendar lu) throws Exception {
    super(u, lu);
    user = (User) u;
    @Override
    public ArrayList<SAPObject> processResults() throws Exception {
    ArrayList<SAPObject> spfliTab = new ArrayList<SAPObject>();
    JCO.Table _sTab = _tables.getTable("ET_FLT_SCHEDULE");
    int rows = _sTab.getNumRows();
    for(int i = 0; i<rows; i++)
    _sTab.setRow(i);
    FlightSchedule spfliLine = new FlightSchedule(_sTab);
    spfliTab.add(spfliLine);
      return spfliTab;
    @Override
    public void setParameters(SAPObject obj) throws Exception {
      super.setParameters(obj);
    try {
      } catch (Exception e) {
    user.rethrowException(e, true);
    Thank you very much.

    Anyone can help me out of this?
    I am looking for AbstractFetchBAPI but there is no information about it.
    I found JCO Client Connection and JCO getTable to access SAP tables. Can I use this way in Agentry App?
    Thanks.

  • No orageneric9 in java.library.path on Win2000

    I have installed Instant Client on Win2000 by creating a directory, unzipping the archive to it, and adding it to my path. I get an UnsatisfiedLinkError when I try to connect to the database.
    "Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: no orageneric9 in java.library.path"
    Any idea what I've done wrong?
    TIA

    OK, sorry for the long delay. I was away from here a while then catching up on other things.
    I removed all the JDBC and Instant Client stuff and started again. The program outputs the path when it runs as such:
    java.library.path is
    C:\WINNT\system32;.;C:\WINNT\system32;C:\WINNT;C:\cygwin\usr\local\bin;C:\cygwin\bin;C:\cygwin\bin;C:\oracle;C:\WINNT\system32;C:\WINNT;C:\java1.4.2_04\bin;C:\j
    ava1.4.2_04\jre\bin;C:\WINNT\System32\Wbem;C:\arcgis\arcexe83\bin;C:\WINNT\system32\nls;C:\WINNT\system32\nls\ENGLISH;C:\apache-ant-1.6.1;C:\Subversion\bin;C:\j
    wsdp-1.3\jwsdp-shared\bin;C:\sp\bin;Z;.;.
    I have no idea why it is duplicating some entries at the start of the path.
    It also ouputs the jdbc url it constructs from some properties. That is
    jdbc:oracle:oci8:@ourhost:1521:pob
    I've used the thin driver before, so maybe there's an error in this url? The XDK docs explicitly exclude the thin driver for loading Schema based tables, and that is what I am trying to do.
    I guess there were Oracle 9 drivers lying around on disk somewhere, because the output today says
    Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: no orageneric10 in java.library.path
    I am trying to load a schema based XML table with an instance document. I have validated the document against the schema I used for the table. The jars (like xdb.jar) from the XDK are available at compilation time and execution time. I haven't found any orageneric?.* file anywhere in the the XDK or Instant Client downloads.
    Am I attempting something that requires a full client install? Am I specifying the URL incorrectly? Am I prgramming under a curse since I snuck my own Gummi Worms into the theater to see Shrek 2?
    Thanks

  • Drill Down Charts Backed by JAVA

    Hi,
       I am from java background, but I had developed simple projects mostly CURD operations and just a simple chats using Spring Blazeds.
    But now I want to develop  dash board and drill down charts. I have seen some sample , where the data  is an XML which is mapped to flex objects and drill down is done.
    But what I know is just call a remote java method which returns a map or list which I get as a Array collection.
    Is it possible to acehive drill down with such java return type or  does java need to return results only in XML, so drill down can be easy at flex end.
    what is  the best way to do ?
    Almost all the examples comes with an static xml file available for the application, It would be great if  any one can tell how to drill down using a List returned by java or any example  of drill down backed by java.
    Thanks

    You can try using the Data Centric Development (DCD) features of FB 4.0 and try using BlazeDS and LCDS workflows and bind the result to Flex Charts.
    This can help http://sujitreddyg.wordpress.com/category/flex-and-lcds/

  • Finding Java Redirect Target Code

    Hello,
    I am searching for a code that can redirect a targeted page, for example if I have index.html on one tab and I open a new one, the index.html have the name: Index.Home and with the other tab I open say; redirection.html, I want it to target index.html by its name or file name (index.html/either is fine) and the change it to the site I enter in the code (example if I entered http://google.ca/ = it would redirect index.html to google.ca).
    Is there such Java Code? Is there a Similar Code? Is there even a HTML Code? (I have attempted to find all of the named, mostly HTML)

    TroyErvin wrote:
    I have searched google a million times I still do not understand, I need a full code, with the target factor in it, but I can't find it. with google or yahoo.Yeah, looks like you are looking at the wrong technology (you probably want JavaScript) and haven't done a very good job of choosing Google search terms.
    Try again with different search terms this time realizing you don't need Java (or even JavaScript).

  • Aborting a Java process

    My application uses various components integrated through MQSeries. The various components are:
    My application - Runs on Websphere 6 - Accepts user request for modelling
    Oracle 10g - Hosts intermediate modelling processes, decision points - Some java classes running in 10g JVM
    Pervasive Business Integrator - Does ETL jobs required before running the modelling process.
    third party modelling component - Java based app running on Windows Server -Does the actual modelling.
    The flow is as follows:
    1. User creates a modelling request through the J2EE app hosted on Websphere.
    2. This request is put on a MQ Queue bound for Oracle 10g Java processes.
    3. The 10g processes make a decision on whether a model already exists. If yes the model is run against a dataset. Else metadata required for modelling the request is put in a message for Pervasive Integrator layer.
    4. Pervasive ETL jobs do required data transformations and output a data file that is input to the actual modelling process.
    5. Results of the process are kept in Transaction Database as well as Reporting DataWarehouse.
    Most of these jobs are very time consuming (on average 20 - 40 minutes) and that is why i decided about this message oriented architecture. My issue currently is how do i abort a job if it is stuck in one particular layer for too long. 3 out of the 4 participating components are java based. Once i send a message and it is delivered, the control is lost.
    I have thought of having a database flag that can be set if a modelling request needs to be aborted and i plan to create special checkpoints in the components to read this flag before going into the next logical execution block. But there still can be situations where a program is stuck (or hangs) between these checkpoints. Is there any possible way to abort such java processes ? something similar to killing a process on Unix or windows but programatic and if possible, provides a way to cleanup any data changes made earlier?
    Anyone ever did anything similar? Any help / suggestion / pointers are very welcome.

    Is there any possible way to abort such
    java processes ? something similar to killing a
    process on Unix or windows but programatic and if
    possible, provides a way to cleanup any data changes
    made earlier?This has been discussed several times and it basically boils down to the point that you can't abort or interrupt a running Java program in a friendly way (= by something other than killing the JVM) unless the running code cooperates in some way (periodically checking some flag or something).

  • Strange timestamp-format in Dynamic Configuration

    Hi all,
    In the Dynamic Configuration Section I can retrieve the name and timestamp of the inputfile I use. But the timestamp is in a format I don't quite understand.
    For instance, the last changedate of the inputfile is 24-06-2008, 10:58. In the Dynamic Configuration section I find the timestamp "20080624T035800Z". There seems to be a difference of 5 hours here, and I have no idea what the "Z" on the last position means.
    How can I convert this timestamp from the Dyn.Conf. to the actual timestamp?
    Thanks,
    William

    You can use subString to get the desired output.
    There is no such Java Function available for you.
    even TimeStamp differs your output
    function myudf(String a, Container container)
    //input is yyyymmddThhmmssZ
    String year=a.subString(0,4);
    String mon=a.subString(4,2);

    String hour=a.subString(9,2);
    String min=a.subString(11,2);
    String sec=a.subString(13,2);
