Suggestion needed on XML to C parser.

Hi,
Our application is on HP UNIX 10.20 and Oracle 8.0.6. We need to use a XML to C parser for an output file from an interface...this is the first time I am going to use this parser..Can anyone suggest me which parser I need to use ??. Is the xml-c parser on sun-solaris works on HP ??..
Thanks,
Hari.

Can you upgrade to Oracle 8.1.7 on HPUX? If so, then you will find the XML parser in C.

  • Parsing an XML using DOM parser in Java in Recursive fashion

    I need to parse an XML using DOM parser in Java. New tags can be added to the XML in future. Code should be written in such a way that even with new tags added there should not be any code change. I felt that parsing the XML recursively can solve this problem. Can any one please share sample Java code that parses XML recursively. Thanks in Advance.

    Actually, if you are planning to use DOM then you will be doing that task after you parse the data. But anyway, have you read any tutorials or books about how to process XML in Java? If not, my suggestion would be to start by doing that. You cannot learn that by fishing on forums. Try this one for example:

  • Problem in parsing an XML using SAX parser

    Hai All,
    I have got a problem in parsing an XML using SAX parser.
    I have an XML (sample below) which need to be parsed
    <line-items>
    <item num="1">
         <part-number>PN1234</part-number>
         <quantity uom="ea">10</quantity>

         <reference num="3">Line ref 3</reference>
    </item>
    <item num="n">
    </item>
    </line-items>
    There can be any number of items( 1 to n). I need to parse these
    item values using SAX parser and invoke a stored procedure for
    each item with its
    values(partnumber,qty,lpn,refnum1,refnum2,refnum3).
    Suppose if there are 100 items, i need to invoke the stored
    procedure sp1() 100 times for each item.
    I need to invoke the stored procedure in endDocument() method of
    SAX event handler and not in endelement() method.
    What is the best way to store those values and invoke the stored
    procedure in enddocument() method.
    Any help would br greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance

    VO or ValueObject is a trendy new name for Beans.
    So just create an item class with variables for each of the sub elements.
    <item>
    <part-number>PN1234</part-number>
    <quantity uom="ea">10</quantity>

    <reference num="2">Line ref 2</reference>
    <reference num="3">Line ref 3</reference>
    </item>
    public class ItemVO
    String partNumber;
    int quantity;
    String quantityType;
    String lpn;
    List references = new ArrayList();
    * @return Returns the lpn.
    public String getLpn()
    return this.lpn;

    public void setLpn(String lpn)

  • How to parse XML using SAX Parser sequencially

    I have a requirement to parse XML file sequencially. But I need to stop the parsing in-between for doing some processing.
    Let me explain with example
    I have a file with following structure.
    <InputFile>
    <Invoice>
         <InvoiceNo = "Inv1"/>
    <InvoiceDt = "12012002"/>
    </Invoice>
    <Invoice>
         <InvoiceNo = "Inv2"/>
    <InvoiceDt = "12012002"/>
    </Invoice>
    <Invoice>
         <InvoiceNo = "Inv3"/>
    <InvoiceDt = "12012002"/>
    </Invoice>
    For each Invoice node I need to process some activites. So I need to write a method which will open the XML file and parse and returns me a complete element from <invoice> to </Invoice> sequencially.
    Please let me know whther some body has solution for this.
    Manoj.

    If you're using a SAX parser then you can implement your code in the startElement(), endElement(), and characters() methods... have a look at the tutorial here:

  • Loading xml file and parsing error in web start

    Hello,
    I load a xml file from jar file, but i have a error at parsing see :
    ClassLoader cl= this.getClass().getClassLoader();
    File file = new File(cl.getResource("paradise/test/maquette/parser/areas.xml").getFile());

    the file opening but at parseur.parse() i have a path error with :
    http:// . . . . \Paradise_client\paradise.jar!\paradise\test\maquette\parser\areas.xml , bad name of directories .....
    Can you help me ? please :-(

    I need to do a similar thing but in my case I don't know the structure of the xml file. I have 2 questions for this mapping. For an xml file like this:
    <?xml version="1.0"?>
    <catalog>
    <book id="bk101">
    <author>Gambardella, Matthew</author>
    <title>XML Developer's Guide</title>

    <publisher>Dummy Publisher Co.</publisher>
    <publisher_address>
    <city>London</city>
    <street>Heart St.</street>
    <no>23/5</no>
    </publisher_address>
    <description>An in-depth look at creating applications
    with XML.
    </description>
    </book>
    </catalog>
    If I'm right, I need to create a database named catalog and a table named book. But the problem comes out here: How can i store publisher_address? In a table or what? Other problem is, is there a difference between storing id attribute of the book and genre element of the book? I think they are just columns of the book table. But if I'm wrong what is the correct solution?

  • Using CDATA tags in XML program and parsing to J2ME

    Hi,
    Can anybody tell me how to use CDATA tag in a xml file and parse it to my J2ME code. is there any sample code available for this? I want to use this CDATA tag for sending Binary data. plzzzzzzz Help....!

    I think what you want is to parse a CDATA text from a xml file and let this text to execute.
    Very innovative idea!
    If I am right, I think you might mix some concept.
    Java code need to be changed to ByteCode before pased to the JVM. Furthermore, Java ME code must be verified before downloading to your machine.
    I figure that your attempt is impossible.

  • Problem in parsing XML using DOM Parser.

    Hi,
    I am parsing an XML using DOM Parser.
    When i try to get attributes of a node, i dont get in the order it is written. For Eg. This the node:
    <Level0 label="News" link="/website/ing_news.nsf/ViewNewsForm?OpenForm&All" level="202" uid="COGN-4MNMT3" parentid="aaaa">
    When i try to print the attribute values i should get in the order:
    News, /website/ing_news.nsf/ViewNewsForm?OpenForm&All, 202, COGN-4MNMT3, aaaa
    BUT I AM GETTING IN THE ORDER:
    News, 202, /website/ing_news.nsf/ViewNewsForm?OpenForm&All, aaaa, COGN-4MNMT3
    Is there any way to sort this problem out?
    Thanks and Regards,
    Ashok

    Hi Guys,
    Thanks a lot for your replies.
    But i want to keep all the values as attributes only.
    the XML file is as shown below:
    <Menu>
    <Level0 label="News" link="/website/ing_news.nsf/ViewNewsForm?OpenForm&All" level="202" uid="COGN-4MNMT3" parentid="aaaa" children="3">
         <Level1 label="ING News" link="" level="1" uid="COGN-4MNN89" parentid="COGN-4MNMT3" children="3" >
              <Level2 label="All ING News" link="/website/ing_news.nsf/ViewNewsForm?OpenForm&All" level="2" uid="INGD-4MVTK2" parentid="COGN-4MNN89" children="0">
              </Level2>
    </Level1>
    </Level0>
    The code i was using to get attributes is:
    String strElementName = new String(node.getNodeName());
         // System.out.println("strElementName:"+node.getNodeName());
    NamedNodeMap attrs = node.getAttributes();
    if (attrs != null) {
    int iLength = attrs.getLength();
    for (int i = 0; i < iLength; i++) {
    String strAttributes = (String) attrs.item(i).getNodeName();
    String strValues = (String) attrs.item(i).getNodeValue();
    Also is it not possible to Enforce the order using some Schema/DTD in this case?
    TIA
    Ashok

    Hi All,
    While clicking on the Global Directory we are getting "XML Error [4]: Parse error " on the Cisco IP phone display,Global directory is pointed to the external server located in Same location .The issue started one week back .
    I have attached the Wireshork output of the Phone ..

    Great catch Aaron
    To aid with your trouble shooting an example of one of the requests that is failing is:
    http://10.106.32.64/CiscoIPServices/multidirectory/multidirectory.asp?id=4&action=list&l=a&f=a
    From the URL a first name of 'a' and a last name of 'a' was entered, did something change recently that would affect this custom service?
    I would assume this directory service queries LDAP/AD, you might want to check the user account it uses is still valid and have a look at the windows event logs on 10.106.32.64 for any hints.
    Note: A restart of IIS on the directory application server might help to resolve this
    Thanks

  • Does DPM 2012 R2 still needs DataSourceGroups.xml and MaxAllowedParallelBackups key when using Hyper-V VSS Software Writer to backup Server 2012 R2 Cluster

    Hi,
    Does DPM 2012 R2 still needs DataSourceGroups.xml and MaxAllowedParallelBackups key when using Hyper-V VSS Software Writer to backup Server 2012 R2 Hyper-V Cluster with CSV's? Can't find a clear answer somewhere.
    Thanx for helping me out.
    DJITS.

    Configure CSV backups
    If you are running Hyper-V on Windows Server 2008 R2 and you’re backing up multiple clusters with DPM, you need to ensure that only one backup uses the same CSV at any one time. To do this, follow the instructions in
    Serialize virtual machine backups.
    If you’re using software VSS with Hyper-V on Windows Server 2008 R2, do the following
    Serialize virtual machine backups per node
    Serialize virtual machine backups per CSV LUN
    Have a nice day !!!
