Sum array elements not working

I am trying to output the average % standard deviation per point for a series of data sets. To do this I want to use the sum array elements function. The program I have written should work I am pretty sure, but when I watch data flow through it, 1000 points get input into the sum function and NaN comes out. What could cause an error like this? I have tried inverting my array, etc. Is there a limit to the number of points the function can take? Or to the precision of the points being input? Thanks, this is driving me crazy!

Any arithmetic operation on a NaN value is invalid and must result in NaN as
well. You probably need to make sure first that your array doesn't
contain NaN, Inf, and -Inf.

Also your direct download link was helpful, as the package is not able to update from the help/update function.
Any idea why the update functionality is not working properly?
I still need another update for camera raw, for both photoshop and premiere. I found links for direct dowloads for versions 6.5 and 6.6. Also the direct links end in a crash, see attachment.
Do you have suggestions?

Great news. Great job in working through the details to get to the solution.
I was waiting for more information from you so that I could give you version specific information on the how to.
But you seemed to have found the paths needed without supplemental instructions.
The two major troubleshooting tools that I would use when the Elements Organizer is involved
a. delete the psa.prf file
and/or
b. create a new catalog.
Best wishes as you move forward in your Premiere Elements 9.0/9.0.1 projects.
By the way, if you are not working from the 9.0.1 Update, good idea to do that.

You can do that update with the program closed....do not bother with Help Menu/Update for this update. Use the link instead.

COUNT() and SUM() function it not working in XDO file.

I am getting one error. Count and sum function not working proper.
For example :
Department 10 have 3 employee and total salary is 8750. But my report returning total employee 1 and total salary 5000

Aggregate functions to be placed at the level you require it. Here you need at G_1, so place it there.

How to set the value of an array element (not the complete array) by using a reference?

My situation is that I have an array of clusters on the front panel. Each element is used for a particular test setup, so if the array size is three, it means we have three identical test setups that can be used. The cluster contains two string controls and a button: 'device ID' string, 'start' button and 'status' string.
In order to keep the diagrams simple, I would like to use a reference to the array as input into a subvi. This subvi will then modify a particular element in the array (i.e. set the 'status' string).
The first problem I encounter is that I can not select an array element to write to by using the reference. I have tried setting the 'Selection s
tart[]' and 'Selection size[]' properties and then querying the 'Array element' to get the proper element.
If I do this, the VI always seems to write to the element which the user has selected (i.e. the element that contains the cursor) instead of the one I am trying to select. I also have not found any other possible use for the 'Selection' properties, so I wonder if I am doing something wrong.
Of course I can use the 'value' property to get all elements, and then use the replace array element with an index value, but this defeats the purpose of leaving all other elements untouched.
I had hoped to use this method specifically to avoid overwriting other array elements (such as happens with the replace array element) because the user might be modifying the second array element while I want to modify the first.
My current solution is to split the array into two arrays: one control and one indicator (I guess that's really how it should be done ;-) but I'd still like to know ho
w to change a single element in an array without affecting the others by using a reference in case I can use it elsewhere.

It isn't possible to get a reference to a particular element within an
array. There is only one reference to the one control that represents
all elements in the array.
While it may seem better to use references to update
an element within
an array, it shouldn't really be necessary, and it can also lead to
race conditions. If you write to an element that has the
possibility of the user changing, whether you write with a local, a
reference, or any other means, there is a race condition between the
diagram and the user. LV will help with this to a certain extent,
especially for controls that take awhile to edit like ones that use
the keyboard. In these cases, if the user has already started entering
text, it will not be overwritten by the new value unless the key focus
is taken away from the control first. It is similar when moving a slider
or other value changes using the mouse. LV will write to the other values,
but will not rip the slider out of the user's hand.
To completely avoid race conditions, you can split the array into user
fields and indicators that are located underneath them. Or, if some
controls act as both, you can do like Excel. You don't directly type
into the cell. You choose w
hich cell to edit, but you modify another
location. When the edit is completed, it is incorporated into the
display so that it is never lost.

Installation Adobe Premiere Elements not working

I'm trying to install the Adobe Premiere Elements 13 but it's not working. I downloaded the file for the trial version, after downloading i also had to download something called Akamai netsession Client ? I dont know what it is, but i installed it as well. But everytime i want to open the setup it says that an error occurred. I cannot open adobe premiere elements, what should i do? i did the installation 4 times now, it's still not working

Bin soeben beim Installieren. Falls mal jemand das selbe Problem haben sollte... nach Installation von SP2 für Vista (dachte ich hätte das schon gehabt) und Benutzung der selben CD wie für die Installation von PSE 8 funzt es nun... Darauf muss man erstmal kommen... 2 Programme, 2 CD`s die Beide gleich aussehen... und da soll man 2 Mal die Selbe nehmen... egaaal.
Thread könnt ihr, wenn ihr wollt schliessen.

I’ve tried to remove the WLS included Ant version to avoid conflicts with Ant
1.6.1 and Ant 1.5.3 (that comes with Weblogic server). I’ve tried to uninstall
Weblogic Server and just keep weblogic.jar, but I still get the same error. I’ve
tried to put weblogic.jar on the classpath, still not working. I’ve tried to remove
all jar files from $ANT_HOME/lib except those jar files needed to run my test
project - ant.jar and ant-launcher.jar, but still doesn’t work. If I change $ANT_HOME
to Ant 1.5.3 and run Ant 1.5.3 then everything works. So it seems to have something
to do with Ant 1.6.1.

Photoshop Elements not working with Yosemite

After upgrading OS to Yosemite I could not get Photoshop Elements 11 to work properly - sluggish operation and brushes not working. I upgraded to Elements 13 but it gets sluggish as time passes and some of the filters don't work. It is frustrating to say the least as I do lots of photo processing and it just takes too long now. Can anybody help?

We sincerely apologize for the problem customers are facing while using a trackpad with Photoshop Elements 11 & 12 on Mac OSX 10.10 (Yosemite).
We have been actively working with Apple to resolve this problem as quickly as possible. We're hopeful this will get completely resolved in an upcoming update of Yosemite(MAC 10.10).
In the meanwhile, you have two options to work around this problem:
1. Option1: Use a mouse instead of the trackpad
2. Option2: Install a plug-in which should workaround the problem
Plug-in installation instructions:
1. Close Photoshop Elements
2. Download this zip file to a location you can easily find (e.g. your desktop)
3. Unzip the file, WhiteWindowWorkaround.plugin, and move it to the Plug-In folder:
• For Elements 12 – //Applications/Adobe Photoshop Elements 12/Support Files/Plug-Ins/
• For Elements 11 - //Applications/Adobe Photoshop Elements 11/Support Files/Plug-Ins/
You can verify the plug-in is installed by launching the Photoshop Elements Editor and choosing Help > System Info... Scroll to the bottom of the text in the dialog and look for the plug-in name "WhiteWindowWorkaround.plugin".
Note: This plugin is a temporary workaround and should be used until this issue is addressed in Mac OSX 10.10 (Yosemite). Please remove this plugin once the issue is officially resolved by Apple.
If you are using a stylus in conjunction with a trackpad, you might see issues with your trackpad. Workaround in this particular case is to use mouse instead of the trackpad.

Photoshop Elements not working right after not using for several months?

Have Photoelements #10 on this computer. Have been away, using #10 on another computer, now back and PhotoElements #10 is NOT working properly?

Please try couple of probable solutions as mentioned below:
Solution 1:
1. Close Elements.
2. Launch the Photoshop Elements Welcome Screen and hold down ctrl + alt + shift as you click Editor.
3. Continue to hold the keys until you see a message box asking if you want to delete Photoshop Elements settings file; click Yes. Elements will open with default preferences.
Solution 2: In case any network printer is attached try to launch without network or printer uninstall or make different printer as default.
Solution 3: Try launching with anti-virus off or removing PSE from conflicting list.
Solution 4:
On the drive on which you have installed PSE,on my machine it is on C:
Go to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 10\Locales\<locale>\Plug-Ins\Import-Exportand you will find twain plug-in. Remove that plug-in from that location and copy it somewhere else.
Now launch PSE and check if it works.

Precompile and page-check-seconds elements not working in 9.2

Hi,
          I am coming across a very wierd error, and was wondering if anyone could help. We have a plain struts webapp deployed on weblogic 9.2.2, and i am trying to improve performance by adding the <precompile> and <page-check-seconds> tags to the weblogic.xml. Here is the relevant section:

          However, when the server starts up, I get the following error saying the precompile and page-check-seconds are not allowed:

Filedownload UI element not working in production

There is filedownload UI element used along with a dropdown UI element
This is working fine in dev and quality but in production it doesnt pick the file.
It is made to work as follows -
u2022     first of all the files are placed at root location of the file system of server (filedownload ui element is used to download these files)
u2022     The data and resource properties of the filedownload are populated upon the action of dropdown ui element
u2022     so user has to select the dropdown frst and then click on filedownload UI element (which is a link)

This is working fine in all systems but after I deployed the code in production system it doesnt work. When user clicks on filedownload it doesnt open up any file download dialog box
when similar problem occured in quality it was because the files were not placed at proper location
but now the files are properly places i checked along with basis
kindly advice what could be the problem here

Did you check the user permssions on the seected directory? The loged-in user should have at least reading permissions.

New Mac: Why are CC and Photoshop Elements not working when Lightroom and Reader are fine

Last week I changed computers (swapping an old Mac for a 13-in MacBook Pro Retina running OSX Yosemite 10.10.3. I copied all my data over to the new machine using Migration Assistant.
All programs work fine (including my copy of Lightroom 3 and Reader XI). But my CC and Photoshop Elements 10 do not. I have tried uninstalling both, but whenever I try to reinstall PE10 from its disk or download it just stops almost at the end. I then I get an "initiation failed" message, along with a request to download the now defunct "Support Advisor" app!
I cannot download Adobe Application Manager, or the CC desktop app either - for the former I get an "initiation failed" message, along with the "download Support Advisor" app" message again! For the latter I get a message saying "Adobe Creative Cloud Is Needed to Resolve this problem - however it is missing or damaged." Then I get a message and a link to download Creative Cloud. Then when I've downloaded it and I click on the installer... it runs for a bit and then I get the message again: "Adobe Creative Cloud Is Needed to Resolve this problem - however it is missing or damaged." And I get a prompt and link to download the CC app. Guess what happens next? And so it goes on. And on and on, in a tedious circle.
This is incredibly annoying and frustrating as I have work to do! Anyone have any ideas what's happening?

do not use migration to install adobe programs.
you should uninstall and clean whatever you've done, Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6
then dl the cc desktop app to your new computer and use it to install your adobe cc programs, Download Adobe Creative Cloud apps | Free Adobe CC trial

Displaying Array Position not working in case of descending Order?

I need to display the array position of the sorted array in Descending order. Here is my code.
     int[] in = {5,3,2,7};
          int[] newArr = new int[in.length];
          int[] na = new int[in.length];

          for(int i=0;i<in.length;i++){
               newArr[i] = in;

          }the sorted array will be will be {7,5,3,2} now according to this i need to display the array position of the sorted array which should be {3,0,1,2} i tried to compare newArr[i] with na[j] but am not gettin the result that i should be getting the same comparison is working in case of Ascending Order but not descending. Any suggestions or help will be appreciated.

what you are doing is correct only, do not put sort method inside the for loop
and postion is correct also

Simple array comparison not working. Please HELP!

I have been struggling to solve this problem for a few days now, and I'm slowly losing my mind.
I am in Adobe Acrobat 10.
I have a group of button fields called: btn0, btn1, btn2, etc.
I have a group of text fields called: txt0, txt1, txt2, etc.
I have a script that takes the value of txt0 and makes it the caption for btn0, and so on.
I have a script that sets the MouseUp action of btn0 to setFocus to txt0, and so on.
These scripts work fine.
I have a script that takes the values of all the txt fields and puts them in an array, and sorts it.
I have a script that takes the array[0] item and makes it the caption for btn0, and so on (alphabetizing my list of buttons).
Those scripts work fine.
I am trying to compare the value of the array[0] item to each of the txt fields to find the match, and then set the MouseUp action of btn0 to setFocus to the matching txt field, and so on (so my alphabetized list points to the correct locations).
This is where I'm at a loss.
Here is what I have:
//specified the txt fields

Here is what I know:
The alphabetizing and labeling works fine, but the buttons' MouseUp scripts don't work at all. Nothing happens.
If I change the following piece of the above script:
        if(rxArray[i] == r.value){

To this:
        if(rxArray[i] == txt1.value){
            var s = (r + ".setFocus();");
            this.getField(b).setAction("MouseUp", s);
Because rxArray[0] does equal the value of txt1 ("A name"), then the MouseUp script for btn0 gets set to:
txt4.setFocus();
So I know that, each time the nested loop runs, the if statement is true, and the setFocus script updates. Until the end of the loop, leaving the setFocus as the last item run. So why doesn't my script work? It should only update the setFocus script IF the array item matches the txt field, and should set it to THAT txt field.
Please please help. I know I'm missing something simple in there somewhere.

That's a good question. I was running into some other issues and have revamped my code. Here is what I have in my test file:
A list of five buttons and a list of five text fields. One additional button that sets the focus to the next empty text field to add a new item, and two additional buttons, one that sorts my list alphabetically, and one that unsorts it.
with the following field names
The sort button calls function sortName and the unsort calls function sortNumber (the order of entry).

As you can see, I've used the array lengths rather than fixed numbers, except when clearing the button values. I use a number there because there is no array to reference and didn't feel like making an array just for that. The number of buttons won't change.
I've also added in a splice() method to remove the blank entries from my arrays when appropriate (making using the array length even more important).
The result of the sort is:
The only quirk I've found in all this is with the Add New button, which calls function addNew, which is:

For this, I would have though that running through the array from start to finish looking for the first empty text field and setting the focus to it would have been correct. But that resulted in the last empty text field being focused. So I reversed the for loop to run finish to start, and the result was that the first empty field was focused. Not sure why that is...

Regular measures(measures with SUM function) are not working along Distinct count measures

I am creating a cube that got to have a distinct count measure and a sum measure. if i have created only sum measure then it is working fine. if i create both measures and process the cube only distinct count measure is populated. the sum measure is showing
all blank values. i am using 2008 R2, and creating 2 different measure groups for both measures, after i include the distinct count measure the sum measure becoming null. can you please help me with this? i am breaking my head for last 2 days on this.. Thank

Ramesh, measures are affected by the context of the queries that contain them, for example and in some cases, you can get a different total count of something by two different queries, this is because the context of the first query is different than
the second one ... keep this in mind.
Now, I've noticed that you are "creating 2 different measure
GROUPS for both measures", and i guess that you are trying to view those two measures _which are from different measure
groups_ at the same time and in the same report.
considering the info in the first point and as you are create the calculated measures in two different measure
groups, I'm not sure but i guess that this is the problem, and i suggest you create those two calculated measures
in the same measure group, then try to view them again and let's see.
if the previous point didn't solve it, please post the expressions you are using to create the calculated measures, maybe this will help in finding the problem.

WHY IS array CASTING NOT WORKING ?

well IData IS an array so that's not the problem
The problem is that an array is an object with its own inheritance but it has no knowledge of the inheritance of the objects it contains. So String[] does not extends Object[] even though String extends Object. But all 4 extends Object :)
run this little to see to what interfaces/classes you can cast your arrays:
