Hi,
you must add e last element at the end of you Nodeelements.
I<yourNode>Node node1 = wdContext.node<;yourNode>;
I<yourNode>Element element = node1.create<;yourNode>element.;
Iterate over the your node element to build your sum of each and than add this sum to the last row of your table.
element.set<;yourAttribute>(sum);
node1.addElement(element);
I hope this helps

  • Table of Contents into existing text fame?

    Hi there,
I'm looking to put a table of contents about halfway down a page that has content on it (paragraph > ToC > another paragraph). I don't want the ToC in its own text frame, because if the copy/layout before it changes, it'll be in the wrong place...
Is there a way to do this without copying/pasting the ToC into the text frame (which doesn't permit me to update the ToC)?
    Thanks in advance!

The TOC needs to be in a frame that's not threaded to others, but is able to grow and shrink to contain its content, and also resize in relation to frames around it.
Typefi systems' InDesign CS4 free Auto-fit plug-in probably can do what you want, but there's no sign of a CS5 version at this time.
    http://www.typefi.com/index.php/typefi-autofit
The commercial Blatner Tools has an autopage component probably can also do what you want.

  • [Perm] TABLES: import contents into existing format

I'm creating about 20 tables that have the same complex formatting: row stroke widths, color of strokes, fills, etc. Would like to import the data (from Word tables originally created in excel) . Is there a way to import data without recreating each an every table I import into InDesign?
I suggested a "table style" to Adobe several months ago; that would be the ideal solution. What can I use now?

    Cherie,
I have posted a script (it's actually in message 26 of the long topic on pasting unformatted text) that will import the clipboard contents into part of an existing table in such a way that the new contents retains the old formatting.
You can find the script here:
Populate Table From Clipboard along with a description of how to use it.
    Basically, you:
    1. Open your Excel worksheet
    2. Copy and paste the range of cells you want to update to the clipboard
    3. Switch to your InDesign document and click in the top left cell where you want the updated data to start.
    4. Run the script.
The new data replaces the old using the formatting of the old (provided that you have used only paragraph styles to do that formatting: any use of character styles within the cells will be lost).
    Hope this helps.

  • Is there a way to generate table of contents into page links?

I have created a PDF document from a data modeling tool.  After the document is created I am looking to generate page links en masse from the table of contents to the appropriate referenced page.  I know I can add links one at a time, but that is too time consuming.  Please give me a clue, this is driving me crazy.  Thanks for any help.

    Hi,
Thanks for the reply. I am new to the adobe and to the javascript.
I would appreciate if you can guide me as to where can I get the online help on javascript related to Adobe Print and Interactive Forms.

  • Add pages before the table of content into the table of content

    Hey,
I was wondering if someone can help me. I'm writing my dissertation and I have to include an abstract and acknowledgments before the table of content ( written on pages 1 and 2). How can I get pages to include these pages within the table of contents written on page 3?
    Thanks
    Ordidge

You can't get it in the TOC automatically. You can do it manually but you'll loose the updating feature of the TOC so do it when you are certain you are finished with the document.
What you do is copy the whole TOC and paste it in Textedit. Here you can do all the changes you want. Copy it again and paste it back in the Pages document.

  • Lock datagrid last row with agregates (don't know what to do next :( )

    Hi,
I have been googling for 2 hours and have been reading some forum posts, etc... but can't get this thing working. It seems an important flaw in datagrid, because I'm sure lota peopple needs this, but I've not found a good solution.
What I need to do is add a row of agregates to a datagrid that contains flat data (it must be last one, and locked, I mean, must not scroll). I have been reading about this:
    http://blogs.adobe.com/aharui/2008/03/flex_3_datagrid_footers.html
But this makes the row separated from the grid, I mean, It is not really a datagrid row. Other problems arise using this implementation like, impossibility to keep last row aligned with datagrid columns when scrolling (I need to scroll because I have lota columns), etc...
So, could anybody please help here to accomplish this? I think it is a pretty common task and it is a bit dissapointing it can't be done easily with flex.
    Thanks in advance,
    Aron.

    I haven't seen this done.
You can add a summary row fairly easily using the Advanced Data Grid:
    http://livedocs.adobe.com/flex/3/html/help.html?content=advdatagrid_10.html

  • How To Find Last Row With Data +2, Then Format?

I need to find the last row +2, select the range A:L, then format.
Could someone please supply the code?  I can handle the format part.
    Thanks!
    A. Wolf

    Works great!
I need to do 2 other things:
    1) Add a text value to r in A: & center over selection A:L
    Dim r As Long
        r = Cells.Find(What:="*", SearchOrder:=xlByRows, SearchDirection:=xlPrevious).Row
USED THIS BUT ENDING UP IN MIDDLE OF L:!
        ActiveCell = Range("A" & r)
ActiveCell.Value = "Estimated True Up Total"
    2) 2) Format a total in r as currency/2 decimels/aligned to right.
    THANKS AGAIN!!!

    Hi meatmailbox,
    Welcome to the Support Communities!
The best way to backup your iTunes library is to an external hard drive.  The article below will explain how to do this.   If you want the files on a CD or DVD, you would need to create playlists.  I'll include that information as well.

  • Table of Contents Deactivated in HTML Formatted Emails - How to Fix?

Problem Details: I produce a newsletter with an embedded table of contents.  In iOS7, users were able navigate via the table of contents and traverse to the corresponding articles.  This functionality has been lost upon the installation of iOS8.  My newsletter is embedded into the body of an email message.  The navigational hyperlinks that comprise the Table of Contents no longer function after upgrading from iOS 7 to iOS 8.  The issue still persists with updates to iOS8 updates since its release.  Hyperlinks continue to work, but not the navigational links in the Table of Contents (that navigate down to the respective content in the body of the email message).
Note: Apple Support has been able to recreate this problem.  This problem did not exist with iOS7.  First started with the installation of iOS8.  I have delayed the upgrade to iOS8 on one of my remaining devices and I don't have this problem with my iOS7 device.  Despite being able to recreate this problem, the solution seems hopeless.  I have tried to get the attention of Apple many times to no avail.  My newsletter is ready by thousands of people each day.  This is a problem - Apple where are you??
Note: This functionality continues to work in devices that still have iOS 7 installed, web browsers, android devices, blackberry devices, etc.  The issue is isolated solely to devices with iOS 8 installed.

    Hi Tom,
I use MSWord to create the newsletter.  I then save it as a "Web Page" (html format) and place it into an Outlook email message.  The table of contents functionality works in Outlook, web browsers, Android devices, blackberries, iOS7 devices.  However, not with iOS8.
I had a great talk yesterday with Apple support.  They again were able to see the problem on their end.  They have elevated the ticket to an engineer.  Hopefully they will figure it out.  It is kind of where I was 2 months ago on this issue with Apple (9/24/14), but somehow I have the feeling that the problem is in the right hands this time.  I will keep the board posted.  In the meantime, any ideas are welcome .
    Thank you.

  • Insert Table of Contents?

Is there a way to insert a table of contents into a PDF (by marking sections, or some other way)? If so, how? Also, if I PDF 2 seperate Word documents, and then combine them into one PDF, is there a way to update the ToC?

I know, but b/c of certain circumstances, the first part of the document requires a lot of preparation in PDF (inserting many many sound files) and the second part of the document may not be ready for PDFing until right before the deadline. So, is there a way to do it?

  • How can we print the page numbers for TABLE OF CONTENTS form When its excluded from the form page count ?

    Hi Experts,
We have TABLE OF CONTENTS followed by 100 forms with totally 215 pages.
We have checked in the Exclude from form page count option for TABLE OF CONTENTS form in Group level.
The forms followed by TABLE OF CONTENTS form all are using FORMSETPAGENUM rule in footer.
the very first form followed by TABLE OF CONTENTS form the page number starts at 1 of 215 and the last form ends at 215 of 215.
Now i want to print the Page number for TABLE OF CONTENTS form alone.
How can we do that ?  Any thoughts ?
    Regards,
    RAMAN C

    Hi Raman,
I guess, you have included 'Exclude Page Count' option in Table Of Content (TOC) form.
There is a limitation in studio. The page number functions (FORM PAGE NUM OF/ FORMSET PAGE NUM OF) will be ineffective when we select the 'Exclude Page Count' option in TOC form. Hence, you was not able to print the Form Page Count in TOC form.
The only way to print page count is to deselect 'Exclude Page Count' option. Then you can normally print the TOC Page Count in TOC form. However, thiS TOC page count will add to the Total formset Page Count. The Formset Page Count can be controlled through Postransdal using the script [FORMSET PAGE NUM = TotalPages() - 1]

  • CS6 Table of Contents Update Greyed out

I have one long indesign cs6 document I'm using to create an ebook. Right now, it is one long story, and the Update Table of Contents option is grey, along with the option "Replace existing Table of Contents" in the create Table of Contents menu. My cursor is on the Table of Contents page, doesn't matter, still grey.
Is this happening because I have one long document instead of having a different "story" for each chapter?
    I've tried:
creating a new Table of Contents with different names
    renaming the book
    renewing indesign preferences
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

Thank you Peter for all your help.
I read the answer somewhere, but can't remember where, so thank you to the person who had the correct answer, even though I can't remember who or where you are!
Place the Table of Contents on a hidden layer. I now have the entire book file on one layer, and the TOC at the beginning of the long doc on a 2nd layer that is hidden, and everything is working perfectly. They are two separate "stories," because when the TOC is part of the main "story," the TOC prints regardless of what the articles panel says (what DOES that articles panel do, anyway? So far I've found it to be pretty ineffective).
Uploaded a book to pubit last night, waiting to hear on errors, but I didn't have to touch the html... not yet at least.
I will report back if there pubit finds errors.
    Thanks again!

  • Table of contents in Pages

I am writing my master thesis right now and the structure is as follows: two cover pages, acknowledgments, abstracts and then i would like to put a table of contents. previous pages are done with the appropriate style (heading 1) but when i insert the TOC, it's empty. Is there a way it can include the previous headings? I hope this is clear enough! Thank you very much!
    Rumen

and 8 lines under you will read:
*Creating and Updating a Table of Contents*
Each table of contents (TOC) you create using a Word Processing template lists only the content that follows it, up until the next table of contents. If you want a master table of contents for the entire document, it must be the only table of contents, and it must be at the beginning of the document.
To update the TOC after editing a document, click any entry in the table of contents, or click Update Now in the TOC pane of the Document inspector. If you don’t update the table of contents after changing a document, it updates automatically when you close the document.
You are hitting the result of the use of common resources for the Help and for the User Guide.
In the Help, the part which you reproduced is really page different of the referenced one.
It seems that the draft of the User Guide was made from the Help with a piece of code replacing the links between Help 'pages' by references to paper pages.
Sometimes the result is effectively funny but not sufficient for "a good laugh" .

  • Load XML content into HTML enabled TextField

I'm trying to figure out how to use html such as <br />
loaded from an XML element into a TextField.. if I use something
    like
    <desc>my description<br />line 2</desc> I
get 3 nodes instead of one when loading the XML file. If I use
    something like <desc>my description&lt;br /&gt;line
2</desc> then I get <br /> in the actual text.
Can anyone clue me in as to how to store HTML in an XML
element so I can load the content into a Dynamic TextField with
    HTML enabled?
    Thanks much!

use the latter in your xml and use the htmlText property of
your html-enabled textfield to display your text.

  • Sort rows in JTable except the last row

    Hi All,
I have a JTable, which contains columns with numbers. The last row contains column sums.
I want to be able to sort rows, but the last row with sums must remain motionless.
Does anyone know the solution of this problem?
    Thanks in advance.

These two posts are my example. It works pretty good but there is one significant niggle - when moving a column the 'total' table does not move smoothly but it does move. I look forward to 'camickr' reducing this to about 1 line.

Changed the layout of the inner panel so that the secondary table is now in the CENTER. This stops the secondary table becoming detached from the primary when one expands the frame beyond the prefferred size.
