SUP JAVA APIS FOR MBOs for consumption from java client

Hello,
I am trying to develop an android application using SUP,since SUP does not support android code generation.is there java apis provided by SUP so that android can connect to SUP,is there any documentation for these apis as well.
regards
kaushik

Hi Kaushik,
I thought Sybase will provide support for Android devices from SUP 2.0. But from the documentation, it looks like they still dont provide any support for android devices. Please check the link below.
http://infocenter.sybase.com/help/topic/com.sybase.infocenter.dc01283.0200/doc/html/asc1229701492397.html
The links explains about genearting object api code for various platforms but Android is not included in that. But since Android and Blackberry are both Java based, I still feel you should be able to select blackberry as platform when trying to generate code and work with Android environment. Since both are eclipse based, try and it should work.
Best Regards,
Siva.

  • SUP ObjectiveC API for iPhone

    Hi Guys,
    I am making an application for iPhone that does purchase order approval.
    I am stuck at one point.
    Here is the process I followed.
    I took the generated code from server and added to my Sample project.
    I copied ObjectiveC API-internal and public folder to my Sample project.
    I also copied Settings.bundle and other Debug-iphonesimulator library files to my approval project.
    I added frameworks from existing frameworks.They were 6.
    I changed library path.
    Header Search Paths : /Users/edccoe/Desktop/API/ObjectiveC/includes/**
    Library Search Paths : /Users/edccoe/Desktop/API/ObjectiveC/includes/** "/Users/edccoe/Documents/Projects/XCODE/SampleCode"
    After doing all these things I am getting an error Command /Developer/Platforms/iPhoneSimulator.platform/Developer/usr/bin/gcc-4.2 failed with exit code 1
    Could any one please help?
    Thank you,
          Snehal Mehta

    Hi Christian,
    Thank you for your reply.
    Here are the details of configuration.
    I am using  Mac OS 10.6 and Base SDK-IOS 4.2.
    My ObjectiveC folder is on my desktop.
    So I gave search paths,
    Header Search Paths: /Users/edccoe/Desktop/ObjectiveC/includes/**
    Library Search Paths :/Users/edccoe/Desktop/ObjectiveC/includes/** /Users/edccoe/Documents/Projects/XCODE/NewProject/"
    Apart from these I copied all external files to my project.
    I copied 3 library files libclientrt.a,libMO.a,libS UBObj.a ,Generated Code from SUP ,two folders from ObjectiveC API that is internal and public.And finally I added all the frameworks not only 6.
    I tried to change deployment version to 10.5 but had same error.
    Command /Developer/Platforms/iPhoneSimulator.platform/Developer/usr/bin/gcc-4.2 failed with exit code 1
    I tried lots of times with different possibilities but
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

  • LOGIN FAILED for POP3 from multiple clients

    Hi - I recently moved (changed service address). Since then, I have not been able to POP or IMAP my mail. It was working perfectly for many years before then. Many calls and chats with tech support have resulted in promises for Comcast to have someone call me - but they never call. Basicaly I'm very stuck.  I can log into my comcast webmail perfectly and everything is great there. I've tried every combination listed on this page: http://customer.xfinity.com/help-and-support/internet/email-client-programs-with-xfinity-email/ And this one: http://customer.xfinity.com/help-and-support/internet/configuring-comcast-email-mac I've tried it on multiple Macs, iPhones, you name it. Very carefully make sure username, password, SSL enabled, ports, etc. etc. are correct. No combination ever works.  Related - perhaps? When I moved my email was completely disabled. Tech support said that happens when you change addresses. Pretty darn strange as email is virtual and shouldn't be related, but okay. Tech support re-enabled it and then webmail worked, but still no POP or IMAP.  Comcast Tech Support really doesn't have a clue here how to even understand the issue, let alone fix it. I'm kind of thinking somewhere in there they need to enable the account to allow POP3 access or something, but I can never get to anyone that knows what they are doing.  Ideas?? Thanks for any help or ideas anyone has.

    Has someone left the company or has an account of some nature been dropped/replaced?
    Please click "Mark As Answer" if my post helped. Tony C.
    Hi Tony,
    Srry but No.  We just installed the monthly updates.
    I went back and found I had missed removing a patch.  I missed the rollup for Windows Server 2003:
    Event Type: Information
    Event Source: NtServicePack
    Event Category: None
    Event ID: 4382
    Date:  3/12/2015
    Time:  12:26:04 PM
    User:  NETTEST\admin
    Computer: DATA1
    Description:
    Windows Server 2003 KB954920 was removed from your computer, and the previous Windows Server 2003 configuration was restored.
    After I removed that is still didn't work but after about five minutes it started working.
    I guess I ned to report that to MS after I research what might be changed to make the patch work.
    Every time I get stuck and ask for help it seems to be just before I stumble on the solution.
    Thanks for replying.
    Well - maybe this will help someone else.
    Thanks again for replying Tony

  • Adobe needs to develop an api for communicating with HTML Overlays & Indesign Objects

    I'm a front-end developer who has been assigned the task of developing one of our client's DPS every month. While I praise Adobe for saving a dying a industry and giving non-developers simple GUI controls, they need to develop an api for communicating from HTML Overlays to Indesign MSOs and other objects.
    I've had to do some intense animations/pages; which I in turn simply developed all in HTML5 and did an overlay. The time put into those pages could have been greatly reduced if their was a proper API in place to trigger different MSO and events. Is anybody at Adobe working on this? As DPS matures, and more developers are tasked with making folios it's imperative we have a proper way way to develop.

    We had a page for embedded movies in a lightbox; the client said customers were complaining that the folios were too large and took too long to download. So we switched to youtube streaming page, but they wanted a poster and autoplay enabled. If you have ever programmed with mobile video, you'll know devices are extremely difficult to manipulate.
    I had to do an html overlay with a bunch of transparent divs for hotspots and buttons. If I could have told Indesign to move different objects layer orders or go to a different MSO it would have saved me hours.
    Doesn't DPS support localstorage? Couldn't you guys whip up a little api to trigger events via localstorage?
    Off topic, another request:
    - enable the safari webkit inspector for debugging connected ipads with folios that have html overlays; you guys don't fully support HTML5 or certain js events and it's extremely annoying and difficult to debug.

  • Jobserver not available from specific client installation (from Designer)

    Hi,
    I have installed Designer on a PC and everything seems to work fine, except I can not run jobs using the associated jobserver.
    When I open up designer, I get a message that the jobserver is not available. When I go to the admin console (on the same PC) I can run jobs.
    Also, when I use another computer and log on to the same repository, I can use the jobserver from the designer.
    What can possibly be wrong at PC level which prevents me from using the jobserver from Designer?
    I have re-installed designer but it did not have any effect.
    Any help greatly appreciated - I have no idea how to troubleshoot this is also welcome.
    Thanks in advance,
    Jan.

    Hello,
    1.  Make sure that you can ping the Job Server from the client machine - Use the fully qulaified domain name (not ip address)
    2.  make sure that you can ing the client machine from the Job server - Use the fully qualified domain name (not ip address)
    if steps 1 or 2 fail then you need to contact you network admin to resolve the connectivity issues. If you are able to connect using the ip address and not the fully qualified name, you can add an entry to you local host file.
    3.  make sure that you do not have a firewall blocking the Job Server port preventing inbound connections to the job server
    4.  make sure that you do not have a firewall blocking ports from the job server to the client machine.
    The default port for the job server is 3500 make sure that this port is open for connections from the client
    you must also make sure that there is no firewall blocking any ports for connectivity FROM the Job Server TO the client.
    if so ask the network admin to unblock these or provide a port range for you to use.
    if they provide a port range for connectivity from the job server to the client you must go to Tools --> options -->   Designer -->Environment and set the port range in the Designer communication ports section

  • Java API for running entire ".sql" files on a remote DB ( mySQL or Oracle)?

    Hi,
    Would anyone happen to know if there's a java API for executing entire ".sql" files (containing several different SQL commands), on a remote database server ?
    It's enough if the API works with MySQL and/or Oracle.
    Just to demonstrate what i'm looking for:
    Suppose you've created sql file "c:/test.sql" with several script lines:
    -- test.sql:
    insert into TABLE1 values(3,3);
    insert into TABLE1 values(5,5);
    create table TABLE2 (name VARCHER) ENGINE innoDB; -- MYSQL specific
    Then the java API should look something like:
    // Dummy java code:
    String driver="com.mysql.jdbc.Driver";
    String url= "jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/myDb";
    SomeAPI.executeScriptFile( "c:/test.sql", driver, url);
    Thanks.

    No such a API, but it's easy to parse all sqls in a file, then run those command:
    For instance:
    import java.sql.*;
    import java.util.Properties;
    /* A demo show how to load some sql statements. */
    public class testSQL {

  • GWT meets  Flex:  Java API  for Flex

    Hello people,
    I m  somedays away to release the  version 2.1 of gwt4air. gwt4air is an open source project  based on  gwt (http://code.google.com/webtoolkit/)  and provides a Java API to different platform where Java is not the primary language.
    Version 2.0 added among other features  support for Adobe AIR, Alive PDF, Pure PDF, Aswing and other GWT based  UI libraries like  EXT-GWT
    With version 2.1  i added support for Flex(AIR and Browser). The goal of this approach is to make it easy for Java Developers to switch  to Flex be leveraging  a swing like API. But also to  present an alternative to the classical Flex developement. The overall idea behind this is described here:
    http://code.google.com/p/gwt4air/wiki/Beginn
    A demo application ca be found here: http://gwt4air.appspot.com/
    The application contains around 100 demos with source code illustrating the use of the api.
    I ve tried to keep the API similar to the AS3 api  so one could easely  switch from AS3 to Java and vice versa
    Note that this  flex applicaton is entirely written in Java using gwt4air. No AS3 no MXML.
    The application is still in alpha stage so please expect some errors.
    The project home is located at:
    http://code.google.com/p/gwt4air/
    I m looking forward to hear what you think about this idea. Any inputs (good or bad)  is really welcome
    Help me make this an even better tool.
    It s about time that  Flex rocks the GWT world
    cheers,
    Alain

    It looks like those genius @google are also thinking about a Java(GWT) API for Flash .
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F_sbusEUz5w&t=1718
    Glad to see  that i m not a fool
    Or alteast not the only fool that believe  combining  Java and Flash/Flex is a potent mix.

  • Java API for Webchannel 7.0

    Hello,
    for the ISA 4.0 we had the API of the java classes. Is there something like this for CRM 7.0.
    Best regards,
    Nils

    Hi Nils,
    Follow below steps.
    Yes you can get it from service market place.
    Follow below steps.
    1) Log in to service market place.
    2) Click on "Download" Tab
    3) On Left side click on SAP Software Distribution Center -->Download > Support Packages and Patches> Entry By Application Group.
    4) On Right side. Support Packages and Patches>SAP Application Components> SAP CRM> SAP CRM 2007> Entry by Component--> CRM Application Server Java
    5) Click on "SAP SHARED JAVA COMPONENTS"
    6) From Below screen click on "Download" tab and Download "SAPSHRJAVxx_x-xxxxxxxx.SCA" file.
    7) Open "SAPSHRJAVxx_x-xxxxxxxx.SCA" file by "WINRAR" and unzip on your local laptop.
    8) After unzip you will get several zip files under folder "BUILDARCHIVES"
    9) Find "crmshrjavadoc" file inside folder "BUILDARCHIVES"
    10) Unzip "crmshrjavadoc" file and you will get "javadoc.ppa" file
    11) Rename "Javadoc.ppa" file to "Javadoc.zip"
    12) Unzip "Javadoc.zip" file which we just rename in step 11.
    13) you will get folder "Docs". This folder contain actual "javadoc.zip" file
    14) Unzip above file and you will get Java API Documents for ISA 5.0 or ISA 6.0 or ISA 7.0 depends on "SAPSHRJAVxx_x-xxxxxxxx.SCA" version and SP level.
    I just got ISA Java Doc by following above steps. It looks 14 step but once you download SCA file it will take only 2-3 minutes.
    I am sure you will get Standard Java API for ISA just like ISA 4.0
    Please let me know if you face any problem.
    Also Visit this ECmmerce 6.0 Java API needed
    Let me know if you face any error or problem.

  • JAXB as standard API for Java Mappings in XI?

    Hi there,
    Has anyone on this forum implemented Java mappings in XI using JAXB (reference implementation for XML/JAVA data bindings of SUN)?
    If Yes, can you please share any experiences?
    We're considering to use this API for Java Mappings in XI but first would like to get more background info.
    Cheers,
    Rob.

    Hi Roberto,
    Have tried implementing Java mapping using JAXB technique couple of years ago. However I was not able to test the mapping in XI/PI environment.
    <ul>
    <li>There is no in built support for JAXB from SAP XI.</li>
    <li>There is no documentation available from SAP on JAXB hence it is difficult to implement the mapping.</li>
    <li>We have to import JAXB specific jars along with the mapping code. my attempt to execute the mapping test in IR tool was unsuccessful It was running fine in standalone mode in local PC </li>
    </ul>

  • Data Warehouse:java.lang.NoClassDefFound Error while using OWB API for Java

    I was writing code to use the OWB APIs for Java:
    I have imported the folowing files:
    oracle.owb.connection.RepositoryManager;
    oracle.owb.connection.OWBConnection;
    oracle.owb.connection.ConnectionFailureException;
    when jvm tries to get instance of Repositary Manger by the following code
    reposManager = RepositoryManager.getInstance();
    I get the following exception:
    Exception in thread main
    java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/objectspace/jgl/HashMap
    I have checked my OWB and Java environment but I cant locate com/objectspace/jgl.jar file. Can some one tell me were this jar is located in so i can import it.

    Either use some criteria you develop related to one of the keys on the table or use some sort of record limiting method.
    Note the method of limiting will vary related to the database you are using. You will have to look at the documentation.
    For example I am told this will work in MySQL to get 200 records starting at record 100.
    SELECT * FROM myTable ORDER BY whatever ASC LIMIT 100,200
    Because you are running out of memroy I assume the table is large,
    I am not sure what the impact of the above will have on performance because if in the above if the order by is not based on an index at the server level all the records will be selected and sorted before the records are limited.
    I would make sure you have an appropriate index.
    If you use the advanced search over the user forums using "resultset paging" and possibility the database you are using you should be able to get some ideas.
    I hope this makes sense to you.

  • APIs  for Retrieving properties from portalapp.xml

    Hi all,
    Can anyone tell me Is there any Java/Portal APIs for retrieving properties from portalapp.xml as well as from manifest.mf.
    Help wud be highly appreciated.
    Regards,
    Karthick

    Hi Karthick,
    If you want to access the manifest file, you could do something like this:
    import java.io.File;
    import java.io.FileInputStream;
    import java.util.jar.Manifest;
    import com.sapportals.portal.prt.runtime.IPortalRuntimeResources;
    import com.sapportals.portal.prt.runtime.PortalRuntime;
    File privateResoucePath = PortalRuntime.getRuntimeResources().getLocation(IPortalRuntimeResources.LT_PRIVATE_RESOURCES);
    File parPath = new File ( privateResoucePath, "HelloWorldProject" );  // name - par file name without the ".par" extension);
    if ( parPath.exists()!=false ) {
        try {
            File manifestPath = new File ( parPath, "META-INF" );
            FileInputStream fis = null;
            fis = new FileInputStream(new File(manifestPath, "MANIFEST.MF"));
            Manifest mf = new Manifest(fis);
            java.util.jar.Attributes attr =  mf.getMainAttributes();
            if (attr!=null) {
                return attr.getValue("Specification-Title");
            else {return null;}
        } catch (Exception e) {
            e.printStackTrace();
            return "ERROR"+e.toString();
    META-INF is top level folder.
    Hope this helps.

  • Java API for Adobe Flex(AIR and Browser)

    Hello Community,
    Sometime ago i started the project located at: : http://code.google.com/p/gwt4air/ , wich primary goal was to bring another approach on writing AIR application by providing a Java API for the AIR API. On top of that i added support for PDF and Excel generation using Java.
    I m glad to announce that  the project  will now add support for the Flex Framework
    I wrote a post about it on the main page.
    The Idea behind it is to give Java Developers a more simple way to write Flex Application by leaveraing a swing like API.
    I hope this project will be a good alternative to the MXML+ ActionScript approach and looking for people willing to join the project.
    Regards,
    Alain
