Supplier Country Lookup

Hi- I am doing a supplier conversion with legacy data and some of the countries are failing. I need to do a transformation of this legacy data and need to look up the country codes.
In R12 there are many tables that hold country codes out there for IRS codes, HR, TCA, etc.
Can anyone tell me the table I should query against?
Thank you so very much.

For supplier country lookup use following query
select nls_territory from fnd_territories where territory_code='GB';

  • Language Output in PO by Supplier Country

    In my System the PO language output depends on the country in the address of the supplier, so every country its in spanish except USA, which its in english.
    Where should I look to find the code (or transaction) to add other countries to English language?
    Thank you, Regards,

    Thank you Nick its seems in my system somebody used a userexit so the country its the one setting up the language, if I change the communication it also changes the output but also material text which its not maintained in other languages.

  • APIs for Country lookup values and Timezone lookup values

    Hi,
    We are developing a J2EE application for remote user management in EP.
    We want to query the lookup values for country and timezone (required when we create user). Are there any APIs that would return these values when called from our J2EE application?
    Also let me know if there are any workarounds?
    Thanks and regards,

    Hi Guys,
    By using Java API, I got 239 countries on Windows 2K professional. Whereas in EP there are 233 countries. Also the names are not matching for eg: American Samao is missing in my local machine.
    Please help.

  • Departure country determination for 3rd party sales order

    Hello,
    We are creating a 3rd party sales order and using dummy plants and dummy shillping point. we do not have plants abroad activated.
    While creating the intercompany billing doc the departure country is not picked up correctly since we have dummy plant and shipping point.
    We want the departure country to be same as suppliers country. and we do not know the supplier details at the point of sales order creation.
    what can we do to get the correct departure country during intercompany billing?
    Regards,
    Shilpa

    You can go through OSS  Note 308989 - Consulting note for cross-company transactions, which provides details on cross-company with 3rd party sales process. Make sure that the delivery plant added in the sales order is assigned to the cross company code.

  • Updating values dynamically in an user attribute which is lookup field

    Hi All,
    Can I have a pre process event handler to update the values in the lookup field on my create user page? I have two user attributes - one is the default organization and the other is a user created Country attribute. Both of these are Lookup fields. I want to update the country lookup field by checking what is selected in the organization lookup field. Is this possible in OIM?
    Not sure if pre process event handler is the way to go but this is what I want to achieve. Can anybody guide me regarding the same?
    Thanks,
    $id

    OK, here's my shot at a walkthrough... let me know if I missed any steps.
    1. From your original post, you are using two lookup fields. I'm use a base VM for testing, so I needed to create two. I went with City and State (I know they are OOB, but this is just an example).
    - Created Lookup.Custom.City and Lookup.Custom.State Samples:
    Lookup.Custom.City
    Code Key-Decode
    Miami-Florida
    Orlando-Florida
    New Orleans-Louisiana
    Lookup.Custom.State
    Code Key-Decode
    Florida-Florida
    Lousiana-Louisiana
    - Creating Custom UDF Attributes: Advanced->User Configuration->Actions->User Attributes (LOV's)
    -- Office City and Office State
    2. Use weblogicExportMetadata.sh to export /metadata/iam-features-requestactions/model-data/CreateUserDataSet.xml
    3. Edit CreateUserDataSet.xml to add:
    <AttributeReference name="Office State" attr-ref="Office State" available-in-bulk="false" type="String" length="20" widget="lookup" lookup-code="Lookup.Custom.State" required="false" mls="false"/>
    <AttributeReference name="Office City" attr-ref="Office City" type="String" length="30" widget="lookup-query" available-in-bulk="false">
    <lookupQuery lookup-query="select City.LKV_ENCODED as City from (Select LKV_ENCODED , LKV_DECODED  from LKU LKU, LKV LKV where lku_type_String_key = 'Lookup.Custom.City' and lku.lku_key = lkv.lku_key) City, (Select LKV_ENCODED, LKV_DECODED from LKU LKU, LKV LKV where lku_type_String_key = 'Lookup.Custom.State' and lku.lku_key = lkv.lku_key and lkv_decoded='$Form Data.Office State') State where State.LKV_ENCODED = City.LKV_DECODED order by City" display-field="City" save-field="City"/>
    </AttributeReference>4. Use weblogicImportMetadata.sh to import CreateUserDataSet.xml
    5. Run ./PurgeCache ALL (same directory)
    6. Go to request - create user (this example is for request based provisioning)
    7. If all went ok, when you select State, let's say Florida, then when you then click on city lookup, you will only see Orlando and Miami. If you toggle the state to Louisiana, you'll need to click search again on city and New Orleans should be the only one that comes up.

  • Supplier Conversion 1158 to 12i

    All,
    In our company we are upgrading Oracle Apps from 1158 to 12i.
    Can any one tell me the process of converting supplier from 1158 to 12i.
    Thanks

    Hi ?
    If you're re-implementing from 11.5.8 to 12 (you didn't answer my question), it should be relatively straight forward as the R12 Supplier Open Interface tables closely resemble the 11i core Supplier tables.
    Here's how I'd do it in this case - note this is specifically because you're going from 11.5.8 to 12:
    1. Redo setup of all Supplier related lookup codes in R12 (or you'll have to map).
    2. Create database link "R12" from your 11i to 12 DB
    3. Insert new data from R11 to 12 - Note there might be more ETL you need to do here, I take fast approach. You might need to go through file (CSV or whatever) if your systems are disparate.
    insert into ap_suppliers_int@R12 (a,b,c) select a,b,c from po_vendors (you'll need to do mapping)
    insert into ap_supplier_sites_int@R12 (a,b,c) select a,b,c from po_vendor_sites
    insert into ap_supplier_contacts_int@R12 (a,b,c) select a,b,c from (query for supplier contacts)
    4. Update/insert any other data in Suppliers open interface that you find needs updating!
    5. Run Suppliers Import conc prog in R12
    6. Run Supplier Sites Import conc prog in R12
    7. (if needed) Run API calls across DB Link from 11i to 12 to create Banks/Bank Accounts. See code in forum post here Re: TCA MIgration
    8. Test, test, test and redo if necessary!

  • Hierarchy Loads using Import Manager

    Running on 7.1 SP05 using the SAP supplied Vendor Master repostory archive.
    Attempting to load the Regions hierarchy table which contains three fields: Country (lookup flat), Region Code (text) and Region Name (text).  When defining the map in Import Manager it will only allow me to select Region Name as the matching field.  And, as a result, it will not load all of the data in my load file - it loads the first value of Region Name and skips the other records where Region Name is duplicated.  This makes sense; however, I need to be able to select both Region Name and Country as my matching fields when defining the map.  These two fields are the unique identifier for the load file and all the data would be loaded correctly if I was able to select Country as well.  I have tried making Country both a unique field and a display field in Console, but to no avail.
    Does anyone know how to get Country to appear in the "Mapped destination fields" so that I can match on both Region Name and Country?

    Hi Reinhardt,
    I think you can achieve it by setting country field also as Display field (DF) along with existing Region name (DF) in Regions Hierarchy Table of MDM console.

  • Not able to retrieve and insert the value to Home_country filed in MDM

    Hi All,
    I am new to the JAVA API,
    I have creted one application in webdynpro using the JAVA API. I am able to search the data based on "Firstname" "Lastname" and "Email address".
    I need to basically two functionalities
    1) Search
    2) Insertion of new records
    *1) Search*__
    But searching based on the Country is not able to do it.
    we have two tables .
    1) Country table> Contains all the list of the country codes and County name.
    2) People table > Contains the country filed. So for this filed lookup table is country. also this country filed is drop down  not have opton edit in the MDM.
    I am sending the following used for searching the records based on the First Name and country.
    But based on the first name it is working fine but Country it is giving some code like "R100" "R12". It is not givng the actual name of the country.
    FieldSearchDimension sd1 = new FieldSearchDimension(fields[2].getId());
                   TextSearchConstraint sc1 = new TextSearchConstraint(First_Name,TextSearchConstraint.EQUALS);
                   sch.addSearchItem(sd1,sc1);
    FieldSearchDimension sd4 = new FieldSearchDimension(fields[9].getId());
                   TextSearchConstraint sc4 = new TextSearchConstraint(Home_Country,TextSearchConstraint.EQUALS);
    //               TextSearchConstraint sc4 = new TextSearchConstraint("IN",TextSearchConstraint.EQUALS);
                   sch.addSearchItem(sd4,sc4);
    cmd = new RetrieveLimitedRecordsCommand(connections);
                   cmd.setResultDefinition(rdPeople);
                   cmd.setSearch(sch);
                   cmd.setSession(sessionId);
    try
                        cmd.execute();
                        catch(CommandException e)
                             e.printStackTrace();
                        recs = cmd.getRecords();
                        wdContext.nodeResult_Table().invalidate();
    //retreiving the Data from the resultset
    if(recs.getCount()!=0)
      for(int i=0;i<recs.getCount();i++)
           //First Name
         IResult_TableElement resEle=wdContext.nodeResult_Table().createResult_TableElement();
         if(!(recs.getRecord(i).getFieldValue(fields[0].getId()).isNull()))
         //wdComponentAPI.getMessageManager().reportSuccess("Network Id-->"+recs.getRecord(i).getFieldValue(fields[0].getId()).toString());
         resEle.setNetwork_ID(recs.getRecord(i).getFieldValue(fields[0].getId()).toString());
           //Country
          if(!(recs.getRecord(i).getFieldValue(fields[9].getId()).isNull()))
         resEle.setDisplay_Name(recs.getRecord(i).getFieldValue(fields[9].getId()).toString());
         wdContext.nodeResult_Table().addElement(i,resEle);
    By the above field is not giving the respective country name is avilable. it is giving some value"R100" rather giving of India.
    _ 2)  For creating the record in the  "people" table._
    I am able to insert the data all the information "firstname" "Last name", "email" except "Country" entered by the user by using the following code.
    //Insert
    First_Name=wdContext.currentPersonal_DetailsElement().getAttributeAsText("First_Name");
         Last_Name=wdContext.currentPersonal_DetailsElement().getAttributeAsText("Last_Name");
         Middle_Name_or_Initial=wdContext.currentPersonal_DetailsElement().getAttributeAsText("Middle_Name_or_Initial");
         Home_Country=wdContext.currentPersonal_DetailsElement().getAttributeAsText("Home_Country");
    CreateRecordCommand createRecordCommand =new CreateRecordCommand(connections);
         Record r1 = RecordFactory.createEmptyRecord(tables[0].getId());
         try
    //               Retrieve Lookup Field Properties, when Field Properties is given as input.
    //           LookupFieldProperties lookupField = (LookupFieldProperties) fields[9];
    ////     Retrieve Lookup Field Properties, when Field Properties is given as input.
    //           LookupFieldProperties lookupFieldSer = (LookupFieldProperties) fieldProp;
    //          //setting the values for firstname and lastname
            r1.setFieldValue(fields[0].getId(),new StringValue(Network_ID));
            r1.setFieldValue(fields[2].getId(),new StringValue(First_Name));
            r1.setFieldValue(fields[3].getId(),new StringValue(Last_Name));
    r1.serFieldValue(FieldValue(fields[9].getId(), new Stringvalue(Home_country));
            createRecordCommand.setSession(sessionId);
            createRecordCommand.setRecord(r1);
         try {
              createRecordCommand.execute();
          } catch (CommandException e2) {
    Let me know what are the changes need to be done for inserting the country information in people table.

    Hi Greg,
    Thanks for the reply,
    Actually,I  was doing the same thing what  you suggested. I am sending the piece of code . Can look it it .Is any thing wrong.
              //inserting the Country lookup filed to record object.
    *       if(Home_Country.length()!=0)*
    *     /when pass the int position number for the country by retreiving from the country table it is working fine. But we      cannot depend on position. Because People table internally refering the other db table while inserting the country      filed in the People table./     *
    *          r1.setFieldValue(fields[9].getId(),new LookupValue(new RecordId(12)));*
    *     //When i PAss the String to the following function i am getting the unsupportedFormat Exception          *
    *          r1.setFieldValue(fields[9].getId(),new LookupValue(new RecordId("Australia")));*
    InCountry . They have defined only two columns called.
    1) ISO-2 Code
    2) Country Name.
    Sample data
    ISO-2 Code  |   Country Name
    US                    United StatesOf America
    AU                    Australia
    Ar                     Argentina
    Like the above data we have 250 country names
    So , I displaying all the country list in my interface and holding in the Array.
    Ex: When the user chooses the Australia.  When I pass directly as an "Australia" to
    r1.setFieldValue(fields[9].getId(),new LookupValue(new RecordId("Australia"))).  it is giving me error.
    Then i try to pass the postion of the"Australia" in country table. Like if the Austrila is an 2 record. I am looping through my array and find the record position as "2".
    I am passing as
    r1.setFieldValue(fields[9].getId(),new LookupValue(new RecordId(2)));
    It is inserting into the people database. But not an Australia. It is inserting as "Argentina".
    When the record inserting in people table refering some table at the database level , that table called "A2i_16_TEXT" This contains three columns.
    A2i_16_TEXT(columns)
    1) Id
    2) LangId
    2) Field Id
    4) TextField
    Example Data
    Id  |  LangId  |  Textfield
    3       0            Australia
    2       0            Argentina
    4       0            United States Of America
    As i am showing the above table for "Argentina" Id is "2". When i pass the 2 for inserting the country filed.Instead of inserting "Australia". It is inserting the "Argentina" by refering this table.
    Through MDM API we are not able to access this " A2i_16_TEXT"  table. Because it is maintaining at the db level to find the perticular id for the respective country before inserting in to the people table.
    So kindly suggest me how to solve this problem. What i am doing in the code is correct or not.
    Regards
    Vijay

  • Partial match for Value Mapping in Import Manager

    Hello Experts,
    We have a import map which is used to do mass insert of data into the main table. This is done as & when required by the end user.
    We have a qualified lookup field which has a flat lookup filed as the Non-Qualifier. This flat lookup field is refering to a Lookup Flat table, which has mulitple dispay fields like Code,Name, Status etc. (14 fields in total) where as only the Code is the unique field.
    We have only the unique field in our source file which we use for the import. Since we have only a part of the display fields in the source, the automap functionality in the Value maping section doesn't work. It becomes very tedious for the user to manually map all the values for this field.
    Is there any way by which we can convert the source or target values in the import map, so that we can map the values using the Automap feature?
    Your help & suggestion for alternate approach is highly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Uday
    P.S. We are using SAP MDM 5.5 SP6.

    Hi Uday,
    No need to enable remote key mapping for QLT. Please execute the below steps(stated with an example) -
    1.  Among all the fields in the referenced lookup table, identify the lookup fields and the tables they are looking up .
    For eg.If you have a lookup field as 'Country' as one of the fields, look up table will be 'Countries'
    2.For the identified lookup tables, set 'key mapping =Yes' in Console.
    For eg, For Country Lookup table ,set Key mapping to 'Yes'
    3.Import values into Lookup table (Import manager)/ Remote key update -
    In import manager, select source (local file) and destination as Countries flat table.This Table will be haing 2fields - Code and description.Clone the 'Code'field and map it to Remote key field in destination hierarchy.Map code and description to equivalent destination fields. Select 'Code' as matching field > Perform import into lookup table.
    Check if the records in countries table are updated with remote keys(in Data manager> right click on a record> select 'Edit key mappings' > view key mapping for the record)
    3.Import to Qualified table/Auto value mapping -
    Now, in the import map for qualified import , map the source field and destination field (of lookup type), all the values of this field will automatically map.
    Similarly, refresh remote keys mappings for all the lookup tables first and then you can see auto mappings of values happening for the lookup fields.

    Requrement :
    In the Item Detail screen on sources of supply tab add country field and inputbox & populate the inputbox with supplier country
    when the Item Detail Screen is displayed
    Steps I have followed :
    1) Created Appende structure in INCL_EEW_PD_ITEM_CSF_SC structure
    2) In the WebDynpro Component for corresponding view added the new field in context
    3) Created label and inputBox in the view & binded the inputBox from context
    4) Implemented the BADI BBP_CATALOG_TRANSFER and populated the field in the method ENRICH_ITEM_DATA
    However, on SRM portal for shopping cart I see empty inputBox without the value.
    What changes should I make so that I can see the value in inputBox?  Please help.

    in the enrich item data method, which table are you populating?
    moreover, are you making the ev_sc_structure_used (or something like that) field as 'X'. if you dont make it as 'X', it wont transfer fields from this BADI to the SC.

  • Need inputs : PO Smartform in Bulgaria language

    Hi Experts,
    I need a couple of suggestions and guide lines for PO print out Smart form.
    We have requirement for PO, print  out should print in Bulgaria language if the PO Vendors is from Bulgaria country.
    And if the vendor is other than Bulgaria country then it should print in the English.
    We have already a custom smart form (English)which we have assigned it in BADI for the PO Print output BBP_OUTPUT_CHANGE_SF.
    Do we have to create 2 different smart forms? One is for Bulgaria vendors and other for non Bulgaria vendors.
    And Do need to assign the 2 different smart forms in BADI based up on the vendor country?
    If I enter the fixed text (like labels) in Bulgarian language then it will automatically will print in Bulgarian language?
    And what I have to do dynamic text (which I will read from the print program input data or data base tables) ? Is there any way for the translation for these dynamic texts?
    And I tried to put some labels in Bulgarian language in the smart form, but I am not able to see in those characters in the print preview in the portal. Its showing as some junk characters asu201D#u201D. But I am able to see in Spool (GUI, SP01). Is it because of the Bulgaria Language pack is not there in my system
    looking for your valuable inputs.
    Thank you ,

    Hi All,
    When I am trying to generate payment medium from F110 I am getting the below error messges.
    1) Supplier Country's country key is missing or is not valid
    2) SCB(State Central Bank) Indicator is missing or is not valid.
    Could you please explain me, is there any customizing is missing or any problem with the documents.

    Hi
    Please check whether the Vendor's bank account has any bank key defined. If not maintain the same in the Vendor Master - general view. Please note the bank key is specific to the Country key.
    Hope this should help you.

  • New validation - don't inform material number when creating

    Hello!!!
    I'd need to create a validation in order to avoid informing the field 'SAP Material number' when creating a new entry in MDM Data Manager for specific material types (material type is a lookup field which has two values, let's say 1 and 2).
    For material type 1, we need to inform, when creating the entry, the material type 1, supplier name and supplier reference, but not the SAP material number, as it comes informed through an interface from SAP R/3.
    For material type 2, we only need to inform the SAP material number.
    Could you guide me on how to do this validation?
    Thank you,
    Carlos Santamaría.

    Hello,
    The data flow is as follows:
    There are two scenarios, one for Goods:
    1. Add new record into the Data Manager.
    2. Inform field 'Material type' (lookup field) Goods.
    3. Inform field 'Supplier name' (lookup field).
    4. Inform field 'Supplier reference' (text field).
    5. Field 'SAP material number' must be left EMPTY when creating the new record. Once it's created, there is an interface from SAP R/3 which updates through ABAP API the records, informing the SAP material number and other fields informed in SAP R/3.
    The validation should avoid that the user informs the material number when creating the new record.
    Second scenario is for Finished Goods:
    1. Add new record into the Data Manager.
    2. Inform field 'material type' (lookup field) Finished goods.
    3. Inform field 'SAP material number' (text field).
    4. Optionally it is possible to inform Supplier name and Supplier reference, but it's not always inform.
    There is already a validation rule that force the user to inform 'Supplier name and supplier reference for Goods, and for Finished goods it's mandatory to inform the SAP material number.
    There is another field which is 'Unique key' which is a calculated field and it's composed by SAP material number + Supplier number + Supplier reference.
    Our problem is to avoid that the user informs the SAP material number only for Goods. If the user does it, the interface will not work as it is designed.
    Thanks for your feedback.

    A closer look at the constraint reveals this - so maybe it's seeing the TAX_COUNTRY_ID twice I would guess where the alias is not accounted for.
