It DOES appear that there is support for WebLogic jDriver for Oracle on Linux:

The strange thing here is that, apparently, the Oracle drivers located @ lib/linux/i686/oci817_8/libweblogicoci38.so
and lib/linux/i686/oci817_8/libweblogicoxa38.so are "Type 2" ODBC drivers which
require an Oracle client to be installed on the WebLogic machine, but Oracle doesn't
support installation of the client on RedHat 7.2, which is required (according
BEA's doc) for installation of WebLogic 7.0. Can someone reconcile this apparent
conflict?

 I do not know 4.5.1, but this works for 5.1: Did you set the proper
 content type? Try to add something like <jsp:directive.page
 contentType="text/html; charset=UTF-8"/>, adjusted to the encoding you
 actually use.

This is fixed now. Someone had defined a Servlet for the web service in web.xml that was preventing the EJB container to kick in.

Unfortunately, since other components of the Oracle stack that we use are unsupported by OEPE, OEPE isn't going to be an option for us:

ADF Support for weblogic portal

How we can use adf tags and functionality and develop portlet for weblogic portal . What are the required Jar files needs to be imported for that.

Does the following configuration supported:
Weblogic Server 9.1
Sun Solaris 10 (64 bit)
Sun JVM 5.0 (64 bit)
I could only find reference to 32 bit JVM on bea site.

For Application server what type of scenior you are using.
Did you made share of /usr/sap/ or /sapmnt to you application sever.
if yes, then you have to just upgrade the kernal in CI & not in Apps
If no, then you have to manually upgrade the kernal on CI & apps.

Add support for WebLogic 10.3 to WorkSpace Studio 1.1

I am using WorkSpace Studio 1.1 in Windows XP with Weblogic 10.0 and I would like to use WebLogic 10.3.
For adding a new Server whitch is not listed there is a message saying a new server will be downloaded and installed from a remote update manager site.
Where can I find the remote update manager site for download WebLogic 10.3 support in WorkSpace Studio 1.1???

Q: Are you able to open the JSP page in Workshop editor - Do you see Design/Source, Design & Source tabs?

Sample Project Test:
- Create a simple web project
- Create a index.jsp page
- include a sample scriptlet code, set the breakpoint
- right click on the page, Run As > Run On Server - Select WLS instance (create one if you don't have)
- Click finish
- Verify if you are able to debug the sample project test.Following your steps, there was no stop at the breakpoint.
I also used "Debug As" instead of "Run As", and the result was the same
Any other ideas???

StatementTimeout support for WebLogic Type 4 JDBC Drivers for Sybase

All,
I am using the StatementTimeout property to limit the statement processing time for my data source.
It seems to be working for all other connection pools except Sybase.
The property documentation lists that it depends on support by underlying Driver.
Please confirm if the StatementTimeout prperty is supported by BEA's Type 4 Sybase Driver. In am using WLS 10.3

Commercial support for OpenJPA in Weblogic 10

We are evaluvating OpenJPA available on Weblogic 10 (not KODO) & are very keen in using the same in future projects. We were interested to know whether the BEA commercial support for Weblogic platform also extends to OpenJPA. i.e. do we need to purchase support for our production environment from a separate commercial vendor or does BEA provide support for OpenJPA too.

Support for JavaIDL

Hi,
I just wanted to confirm that support for javaIdl still exists post 8.1 SP3.
I saw in the manuals that support for the sample apps (e.g., iiop.ejb.entity.cppclient) is listed as "Not supported for WebLogic 8.1 SP3 and higher". Also, the examples are completely missing from 9.0
I take this to mean that support for the examples is discontinued, not that the capability to generate IDL from an EJB is gone.
Btw - are there any known issues with Orbix 2000 (c++) and WLS 8.1 (and higher) in this area (forget above OBV types).

How to add support for new JDBC Drivers in WebLogic Server?

Hi!
I am using WebLogic Server 10.
As we know,WebLogic Server contains some jdbc drivers itself,but if we want to use another drivers besides them,what can we do?(I am using Oracle 11g,but WebLogic Server 10 doesn't contain JDBC support for it.)
Just copy the .jar files of the drivers to the directoty "WL_HOME/server/lib" or need to configure something else?
