Surely this bug cannot have persisted from ODT 10 to ODT 11..

If I use ODT to design a table, I add a primary key and I choose my columns to be:
ZZZ
AAA
MMM
When I save, I frind ODT "helpfully" rearranges my columns into alphabetical order, but it didnt want that. I specifically wanted the index in the order above. An index of AAA, MMM, ZZZ is no use to me for range queries on ZZZ
I noticed this back in ODT10, and in my ODT11 it's still there..

To reproduce:
Assume: you already have an oracledb and can connect to it
Install VS 2008
Install ODT 11.1.7.20
Connect to the OracleDB in server explorer
Right click Tables
Choose New Relational Table
Add a Column named A
Add a column named Z
Add a Primary Key
Pick the first column for the PK to be Z
Pick the second column for the PK to be A
Choose Auto Index
The index ends up with columns listed in alphabetical order. I specifically chose Z A because I have a number of queries on Z, or Z + A, and want to use index scans for the Z based queries

This iPod cannot be read from or written to

I have a 5th gen 30GB iPod that's about 18 months old and has been working fine until recently.
When I connect the iPod to the computer (2Ghz Macbook, 1GB memory, 80GB HD, OSX 10.4.8, iTunes 7.0.1), a message comes up saying "This disk cannot be read from or written to". The iPod itself works fine, but I'd dearly love to be able to update it! I am reluctant to erase it to find the error because I use it every day.
I don't have access to any other computers with iTunes installed, so I don't know if the problem lies with the iPod or the MacBook. Should I update iTunes/OSX?
Does anyone have any idea what's up with my iPod? I hope it's not dying...

The mystery deepens! Althout the iPod SAYS it can't be read from or written to, it is apparently being written to - I found some tracks on it this morning that definitely weren't there when I connected it last night. I didn't update iTunes or anything.
I guess my question is now "Why on earth is the computer displaying this message when it's not true?" I'm not sure about upgrading because I read that the latest version doesn't allow you to get songs off your iPod onto iTunes - which ***** if you suffer a HD failure or even just buy a new computer!

Hi, I still use an iPhone 4, ever since my recent update of iOS I cannot purchase apps from the App Store, and a message keeps appearing saying that, 'this item cannot be purchased from the US store, and please switch to the Malaysia store''.

I keep getting this message when I try to update my apps and when trying to purchase new apps from the App Store. I checked my iTunes ID and it turns out that the country shown there is the one that I am actually living in. And it is the same as my billing address, but when I tried to update my apps again, I keep getting this message, 'you are not eligible for purchase of this item from the US store, please switch to the Malaysia store'. How do I solve this issue.
Besides ever since I updated my phone iOS it has started misbehaving, quite irritably at times. Dropped calls, slow typing, apps open very slowly, apps cannot be updated with prompts coming up like, this app cannot be updated now, please try again. I had to delete quite a few apps and reinstall them again. I had a trouble free experience with this phone till now, but is apple losing its magic.

Got it sorted though. Seems that Apple has issues with multiple apple id's.
Seems i had to somehow remember and use the original id i had when i first bought my 1st iPhone. . . .
Even after that it was extremely hard to get my apps back on my PC.
If anyone else has the same problem. . . .email Apple. Cya.

Many thanks JEM24 for your help. Ive just spent the best part of six hundred pounds on a new Sony Rx100m2 compact camera, so I have no interest in the Ipods camera at all really. I doubt Ill be watching many videos on it as Im very lucky in that I have a good Android tablet. Its more as a stock music player that Ill be buying the Ipod for, if indeed I do end up buying one. I dont like the idea of paying the exorbitant amount added for more memory space that Apple along with most other companies charge. In fact I read an article on this very subject just yesterday in the tech section of Flipboard. It stated in the article that in the case of the Iphone the actual cost of each additional gigabyte of storage to Apple et al is something in the order of 60p.. This is certainly not reflected in the price us the customer has to pay at the till.. Its for this reason primarily that Apple in particular, because their products do not allow adding expandable memory of your own in the form of cheap to buy cards, that nobody in their right mind buys the 64gig etc Iphones..I am aware that we are discussing my potential purchase of an Ipod Touch here but you see my point. From what i understand i see that - Cookies are not transferred between your website and your webapp when installing the icon on the home screen (for authentication purposes for example). It was working until 6.1 and now it’s not working anymore.
Can someone please tell me if this bug will be fixed in any future release, if so the ticket number of some kind that i can track, or if there is a workaround for this issue?

The fact that you can receive means you have a valid e mail address, and have established the connection to the incoming server, so all of that works. Since the send does not work, that means your outgoing server is rejecting whatever settings you used formthe outgoing set up. Try them again.
Google your particular isp, and ipad and many times you will find the exact settings needed for your isp. Or tell us here, and soneone else may be on the same isp. Some mail services need you to change a port, or have a unique name for the outgoing server.

lots of people seem to be havgin a problem sending email from iCloud webmail.
does your email address have uppercase characters in it?
if so, try creating an alias in lowercase (go to preferences in iCloud webmail and select 'accounts') and see if email sends okay from that

I cannot download photos from my digital camera to Iphoto (version '09). I have been able to successfully do this up to 4 days ago but not yesterday. My camera/device is recognized in the Source List but photos won't download for me to import to library.

I cannot download photos from my digital camera (via a cable) to Iphoto (version '09). I have been able to do this successfully up til 4 days ago but not yesterday (Dec. 25th). My camera/device is recognized in the Source List, but when it tries to download the photos, all I get are the words "Loading Photos" in the area where the thumbnail pictures usually display. The little "gear" symbol next to the words but it just goes round and round. Nothing ever downloads, and instead of showing me how many pictures there are to import it just says "No photos". So therefore I cannot import the photos to my library since they won't even download.
I was getting an error message a few days ago that my Iphoto library was getting full, so I emptied my trash in both Iphoto and on my computer. I had this same problem back in October and emptying the trash and getting rid of some photos did help (can I really be using that much storage space for the pictures?). But it didn't help this time.
Any suggestions as to what to do to solve the problem? I would try taking the SD card out and inserting that into the slot on the computer to see if I could load pictures that way; but the last time I did that, they wouldn't load. Not sure if I lost pics from the disc or not.

1. You did not get an error message telling you that your iPhoto library was getting full. You got a message telling you that your HD was getting full, right?
OS X needs about 10 gigs of hard drive space for normal OS operations - things like virtual memory, temporary files and so on.
Without this space your Mac will slow down as the OS hunts for space on the disk, files will be fragmented, also slowing things down, apps will crash and the risk of data corruption - that is damage to your files, photos, music - increases exponentially.
Your first priority is to make more space on that HD. Nothing else can be done until you do.
Purchase an external HD and move your Photos and Music to it. Both iPhoto and iTunes can run perfectly well with the Library on an external disk.
Your Library has been damaged from being run on an overfull disk.
How much free space on it now?

Yes, you can. You can configure the Side Switch (above the volume button) either as Mute switch or Rotation lock.
Settings > General > Use Side Switch to: choose what you like the Side Switch to function as.

You need to return it to the seller and get your money back. You cannot reset or use the device with another AppleID installed unless you know the password for that ID.
If the device has been jailbroken, no one on here can give you any further help...the Terms of Use prohibit us from doing so.
