Hi,
Can you mention the eclipse version you are using? And the platform in which you are trying to build?
I feel its always better to be platform specific when you go in for headless build. I can see that the configs value in your properties file is "configs=*,*,*". Try changing it to appropriate value and build your product. For example, I use "configs=win32, win32, x86" for building my product in 32-bit windows machine.

This bug figures out also when creating a custom spark ComboBox, then trying to programatically update the userProposedSelectedIndex property. The proposed selected index is selected, but does not apply the same skin as when mouse is on rollover or item is selected due to up and down keys.
The issue seems like updating the status of the item renderer to rollover or selected to get the same skin applied.
Please could you attach DropDow nList.as that you edited ?

Vector.clear() throws null pointer exception

is there anything wrong in my code. when i try to clear the vector irrespective of whether i add elements to it or not, if there are no elements added to the vector v1.clear() it throws null pointer exception
Vector v1 = new Vector(1,1);
v1.clear()

And the guessing game continues... anyone for a shortctu to duplicate this problem?

WPUMFactory.getUserFactory() throws null pointer exception

I am trying to use KM API's to read files from KM repository. I am using the below code as mentioned in the blog: How to download KM documents using Web Dynpro Java

Instead of fetching the current logged on user , use the below line to set the resource context and see if it helps .
com.sapportals.wcm.repository.IResourceContext resourceContext = ResourceFactory.getInstance().getServiceContext("cmadmin_service");
cmadmin_service is a existing user that can be used to access KM resources .

Applet throws null pointer...

I have weired problem... it was working fine. I have applet which connects to chat server from anywhere from the the browser but my own server computer. Whenever i try to load from my local machine it either throws null pointer or applet load failed error. neither it works from appletviewer.
Remember , it works fine from anywhere else.. so all .class files etc. etc. are valid...

actually it throws java.secrity.AccessControlException:access denied (java.net.SocketPermission "My Ip":9991 conect resolve..
But weired thing ... from same computer when i run appletviewer from Net Beans IDE ... it connects fine to my sockets...

Details: Added logic in Consumer such that when the Consumer is connected over a non-realtime channel (i.e. non-polling and non-streaming channel), a warning is logged to let the user know that channel is not going to automatically receive updates via client poll or server push. We can't really throw an error here because one might want to disable channel polling and manually send poll requests when needed and this is a valid configuration as well.

but i solved it some other way... not entirely sure this was
it though as i was doing a lot of things at once...

Tomcat 5+ throws a ClientAbortException when it receives a TCP RST while writing a response to a client that has exited. This custom exception extends IOException, and we were only doing lighter INFO-level logging for SocketExceptions so the ClientAbortException was getting past this leading to ERROR level logging. This little tweak will mean less pollution of the server logs during QE load tests.

Other then climbing in the phone and calling the vendor, you could try:
1. To use a BufferedInputStream to wrap the SocketInputStream before you wrap that in the DataInputStream. So basically:
DataInputStream dis = new DataInputStream(new BufferedInputStream(socket.getInputStream());On one of my implementations this made a difference of a factor of 200+! So instead of processing 500 messages per second, I could process 10000 messages per second!
2. Or to take it to the next level and take a look at using NIO. That is New IO, available since Merlin (Java 1.4). But that would take you way more time then the first attempt.
The thing addressed by the possible solutions above is the blocking nature of the Stream based socket handling. Using a buffered input stream reads ahead. The NIO thing is all about non-blocking IO, which uses Channels and Buffers instead of Sockets and Streams (note that these are not equivalent!).
Of course, if you didn't change something in your own code, it might just very well be that the vendor just screwed up his ;)

If you create a metadatatype with a single metdata block, and you reference that in your vm/cm cell attribute using a *one* based index, Excel seems to see the link and it honors it when saving the spreadsheet.

QA: Yes - try again with legacy-collection true and false.
Doc: No
Checkintests: Pass
Details: Another try in fixing this bug. When legacy-collection is false, Actionscript Array on the client becomes Java Array on the server and my fix yesterday assumed this case. However, when legacy-collection is true, Actionscript Array becomes Java ArrayList on the server. So added code to handle this case.

Just to post the solution to this if anyone ever runs accross this thread...
For some reason i had it bad the first time, don't have time right now to see why but here is what worked for me:
HashMap primaryFile = new HashMap();
primaryFile.put("fileContent", bFile);
primaryFile.put("fileName", uploadedFile.getFilename());
operationBinding.getParamsMap().put("primaryFile", primaryFile);
HashMap customDocMetadata = new HashMap();
HashMap [] properties = new HashMap[1];
HashMap customMetadataPropertyRoom = new HashMap();
customMetadataPropertyRoom.put("name", "xRoom");
customMetadataPropertyRoom.put("value", "SOME ROOM");
properties[0] = customMetadataPropertyRoom;
customDocMetadata.put("property", properties);
operationBinding.getParamsMap().put("CustomDocMetaData", customDocMetadata);
Basically an unbounded wsdl type is an array of objects (HashMaps), makes sense, i thought i had it like this before, must have messed up somewhere...
