SWFLoader scale issue

Hi everyone,
i'm trying to embed a media player (soudcloud) on my flex app.
the HTML code is :

So in flex i created a SWFloader :

The problem is taht the embed swf is larger than my app, it realy dont fit with the size of my app.
If i set the scaleContent to false the swf is in a sort of way scaled ...but actually it is truncated !!!
Can someone help me with the issue please ?

No I was not aware of that, but I see this as another
problem. Right now the problem is the load operations that never
completes (nor fails). I think it may have to do with some browser
connection limits... Do you know of any events being fired when an
"open connection" event fails because of connection limits ?
Another problem related to what you mentioned is when you
tell a movie clip to "gotoAndStop" at som frame. Then it takes a
little while before the instances of the frame is initialized. I
could not find any "complete" events to handle this, so righ now I
use a solution where I wait a bit and then check if all childred
are non-nul, and if not I wait again before checking again. This is
a hack, but it works and I could not find any better solution - do
you know a better way to ensure a frame is completely initialized
after a gotoAndStop call ?

Random scale issues on pixel art

I'm creating pixel art animations for an LED presentation. The video size and comp sizes are 96 pixels x 64 pixels. I created the pixel art in Illustrator at the same size. I started out by creating a 96x64 grid and then using the live paint to fill in each box to create the artwork.
In After Effects I start doing my animation but sometimes when something is scaled down, issues start occurring. For example, I have 2 black squares as eyes. Both are 1x1 pixels or a 1x1 box in illustrator. Once they are scaled in AE, one eye may be bigger than the other. Is there some sort of interpolation issue happening? One solution I have tried using is only using draft mode. That works the majority of the time to keep everything looking very pixelated except for when the random scale issues occur.

To be more clear of what I am trying to do. I am creating an animation for a Christmas LED display. I created 20-50 pixel art assets at the 96x64 size. They may not have all been to the final scale I wanted them to be in my animation. I brought my assets into AE and began doing my thing by animating. The original goal was to create Christmas animations that were a little more advanced than some pixel art simply moving position across the screen and to try and create a story based on the songs that were playing.
In my particular example where I am having an issue. I created frosty the snowman and the animation is him moving his arm and tipping his top hat. I'm not animating his eyes at all which are just black squares. Although the eyes are the ones creating the issues. One eye is bigger than the other. When I look at the original Illustrator asset, the eyes are the same size. Currently, everything is 100% to scale and draft mode in enabled. If it weren't for the eyes, it would look just like the illustrator artwork. When draft mode is disabled, that is when edges are no longer crisp and there is some slight feathering around all of the edges.

Convert to Gray scale issue in spot color file

Hi,
I am having some problem in Acrobat X Pro on Convert to Gray Scale Preflight Fixup, but the same PDF file is working good in Acrobat 9.0 Pro for the same process.
Even I tried with the error report, but there was no error details in that report.
Please help me out to find the reason for that problem. The PDF file is having a spot color.

You can upload you file using any public/private FTP and then can embedd the link here.
Or when you click on Edit (in your message division), you get a browse option in the bottom left cornet. That allows upto 8.9MB. The way i attached!!!

Org unit differring & Pay scale issue

Hi experts,
i hav e an issue .....
when i executed new office orders i am getting one org unit. & when i executed for the same employee no for existing office order i am getting diff org. unit & i am not getting Pay scale amount also.........
how can i solve this .......any suggestions.

Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
I took some time and looked into scaling documents when printing from the iPad to the 8600. I was not able to find any options that allow you to scale documents or photos.
Google Cloud Print might be able to control the setting more to your needs. I know you can select which paper you are printing onto with Google Cloud Print, etc.

After Effects Scale Issues with Drawing Lines?

If anyone can help, it would be great. I'm so ticked off I'm about ready to scrap my entire project and give up! I've spent all day on one problem and I give up.
I created a road map in Illustrator. It's a very large file since it's an entire state - so it's very detailed. I want to bring this into AE and then in AE draw a route line along the roads to show the viewer how to drive the route. In some cases, the map will be zoomed into an area to show the route in an area. In others, I'd like to show the entire state on the screen and draw the route across the state.
In practice, I didn't have a problem with this with my tests. However, now that I'm using this large Ai file, it just won't work.
First, the shape layer line either is too wide (2.0px is 3" wide on my screen, so I have to take it down to something like 0.1 to make it look correct), or the line won't stay with the layer when I parent it in 3D. I want to draw the line (route), then move the comp (or a camera) to look more like 3D mapping. I've tried the camera, too, and nothing works. Even when it seems I can draw the line, I can't click anywhere near the last point without grabbing the last point, which makes it impossible to follow the roads.
My only guess is it's something with the size of the Ai state-wide, detailed map? But I don't understand how this can be resolved. Please help.

Sorry, good point. I'm so upset over this that I didn't think of screen shots.
Here is the vector Ai as it's imported into the comp:

Then, I scale in to the Chicago area to get close enough to see the roads and start drawing my route with the pen tool:
You can see in the above screen shot that the yellow line (the route) looks pretty good, but from my last click (end of the line) to where the next click needs to be (cursor), I can't click. It thinks I'm hovering over the past click point or something? And in this example, if I move the cursor down from where it is now, I almost get to the green box before it allows me to click to place a point.
What's strange, is I can move the points (whatever they are called) around and very close together, but I can't draw my line that way. And when I try to move down the map to continue my line, and I click the "Path 1" to continue drawing, sometimes it just adds points on top of the last point of the line. I'd think this is the same issue that I clicked too close to the last point? I don't get it!?!?

Scale Issue

I'm working with 4K files in a 2k Sequence in Premier Pro CC. I've been scaling the video up and down (using the parts of the image I like) while I've been cutting. I just opened my project up and now every time I try to scale, the preview image changes wildly and when I try to play the sequence, all the footage pops to 100% scale (even though when I stop, the picture scales back to what I've set.) I updated premier yesterday, so I suspect it's an issue with whatever version I just updated to.
Could someone shed some light on this or potentially fix the issue?

Unfortunately, it's only when I try to playback the edit that it ignores the scaling. It's more like it's ignoring the scaling altogether when I try to play the media back. When it's paused on a frame, the image looks correct. The issue is that it scales wildly when I try to edit the scale as well.

I'm guessing it has something to do with the version I just updated to. I think I really need to find a way to revert to the previous version of premier until this bug is ironed out. I found a thread with instructions but when I tried to follow them I was prompted for a serial number. This being CC, I don't have one.
Anyone out there know how to revert back a version?

Rating Scale Issues

Once an option is clicked in a rating scale it can't be unclicked. Does anyone know of a way to set up the scale so that a contributor can change their mind and unclick?

There isn't a way to de-select, another rating can be selected instead but a selected row cannot be cleared. The only way currently would be to go to the URL again starting over.

Y Axis scale issue

Hi there,
I've a dynamically driven (through XML) column chart. everything works just fine except the Y axis scale. depending on the data it changes the divisions and some times it looks very odd.
I tried with Auto (Y) axis option then tried giving manual values by determining the MIN and MAX values through XL formulas, but no luck.
Also tried setting the number of divisions to say 6 - unfortunately, it doesn't seem be listening to any of these settings.
Is there any other better way to control this?

need to ask several questions:
What’s the data type of JobStartTime and JobEndTime?
Is the data stored in database the same as you provided?
What’s the state of report now? Please provide some more detailed information of the report. I would be appreciated it if you could provide sample data and screenshot of the report.
This may be a lot of information to ask for at one time. However, by collecting this information now, it will help us move more quickly toward a solution.

Creating PDF from jpegs - Scale issue!

Hello,
I have a series of envelope sized jpegs which i want to convert to pdf. However,when i convert the jpegs to pdf, the scale of the sheets becomes all screwed up (when i 100% zoom the pdf document, the sheets are tiny - way smaller than they were in jpeg format). Is there a way of converting my jpegs to pdf while still maintaining 1:1 scale? Im using Acrobat 8 Professional.
Any help would be much appreciated!

JPegs are often problems. You might try saving to TIFF instead, the standard for scanners.

PSDs in Timeline Scale Issues

Please Help! Getting despearate.
I've really searched for the answer to this but can't seem to find anything. I am trying to work with some psd files in FCP. Each psd has about 5 layers I have imported them and opened them in their own sequence. At first, when I open the psd the image preserves the scale of all the layers so that it looks like the image I made in photoshop. Of course it puts each layer on its own track. When I copy those layers and put them into a brand new sequence the scale and center functions of each clip go all wacky. Every layer is blown up enormously and the center is way off. To say the layers are out of proportion is a giant understatement. If it were one or 2 psds I'd take the time to align things, but I feel like that is almost impossible to get perfect, and I am working with lots of psds.
In essence, I just want to import my photoshop files and drag them into the sequence so they look like the original image, and not all out of proportion.

OK, not completely fixed yet.
No layers are being enlarged beyond the boundaries of the frame. But some are blowing up to fill the scree when copied into the new timeline. And it seems to be completely random which layers this happens to. For instance, there is a soccer ball layer in many of the frames. Sometimes the ball stays in place and remains the right size, and sometimes for seemingly no reason it blows up and fills the whole frame save the corners and centers itself. Why is this happening?

Export scale issue - Premiere Elements 13

When I export my video, clips which have been Scaled (In Applied Effects) are not matched to the ratio of the rest of the clips. How do I fix this?
Here is a screen grab showing the problem. The clip is supposed to be zoomed in so the model's eyes are not showing. Instead the whole thing is super-imposed over the letterboxing.

a. properties of source media imported into the project -
video compression
audio compression
frame size
frame rate
interlaced or progressive
file extension
pixel aspect ratio
b. does the project preset set (1080i30 - 1920 x 1080 @ 29.97 interlaced frames per second) match the properties of your source media
c. before you leave the Edit area are there any black borders showing in the monitor there?
c. are the export settings consistent with the project settings?
Please supply the information first for "a", and we will suggest the rest.
Do you have an export requirement...MPEG2.mpg, AVCHD.mp4, or H.264.mov? What frame size do you
want for the export - 1920 x 1080 16:9 or do you really want a SD rather than HD export?
We will be watching for further details.

Need help with Illustrator CC type scale issue.

I have my units set to inchs and when I type a font in at 12" high the actual size I get is only 8.3789"
Is there a fix for this?

To get the desired letter/glyph height you may, with the live Type selected:
1) Effect>Path>Outline Object;
2) Edit>Preferences>General>Use Preview Bounds;
3) In the Transform palette, set the desired height and Ctrl/Cmd+Enter (to keep proportions).
You can see the correspondingly changed font size in the Character palette.
Remember to undo especially 2) when done.
