SXI_CACHE Error: Unable to refresh cache contents

Hello everybody,
in SXI_CACHE we get the error:
"Unable to refresh cache contents"
"Error during last attempt to refresh cache"
and on double clicking we get the message:
Error Id: Communication
if_http_client receive http_communication_failure.
Any suggestions.
We can't afford to restart the machines every time.

Also, check the HTTP Connection INTEGRATION_DIRECTORY_HMI and try a test connection of this. It should return HTTP Code : 500

this is a fresh installation just finished all the steps and then wizard confiuration is also done.
now i am getting 2 error after this .
when i try to perfiorm cahce refresh

2. when ever i try to acess nwa i am getting error as

Unable to refresh cache in XI - UPdate error - HTTP 404

Hi All,
When we try to refresh cache we get the error HTTP 404. All the RFC Destinations like HMI DIrectory, XI DIRECTORY, XIRUNTIME all are showing the same error - HTTP 404.
We tried to refersh cache fully from /rep -> Administration for INtegration server and Integration Directory.
It tries to access http://hostname:8000/sap/xi/cache?sap-client=001&mode=F and pops up user credentails. It does not accept any user I give. I have tried PISUPER and J2EE_ADMIN with all authorization for PI. STil it keep asking for user id again and again. It does not go in at all.
The SLD Cache is refreshed successfuly.
Please let me know the steps for troubleshooting this issue.

for the SM59 destination the user should be XIISUSER or PIISUSER (depending on your release).
Check that the user isn't locked (TCODE SU01)

I have been trying to find a solution to the same error message
In my case, the power pivot reports were working before on a regular team site , but then two things changed:
a) I created a toplevel site using the BI Center template. Now I am using a Business Intelligence template , created a power pivot gallery library and uploaded a few powerpivot reports
b) On the backend, the database instance was upgrated to SQL Server 2012
 Front end Server VDSP01 remains SQL Server 2008 R 2 where Sharepoint 2010 was installed as a FARM
Now, the reports will display in sharepoing however they will not refresh. the error message i get is the same.
Scenario recap:
a- Server VDSP01 uses SQL Server 2008 R 2 where Sharepoint 2010 was installed as a FARM
b- On the back end, the database instance name was replaced with SQL 2012 Server:
 from SQL Server 2008 R 2 (instance DBDEV-COTS\COTS)
 to SQL Server 2012 ( instance VTSQL01\COTS)
c- I was told that:
 From VDSP01, they ran
CliConfg.exe to create SQL Server Alias :
 where BEFORE: vdsharepoint --> DBDEV-COTS\COTS
 and AFTER : vdsharepoint --> VTSQL01\COTS

I am unable to perform full & delta cache refresh.
CR content is not updated(it's below 9.5) -- Does this has anything to stop cache refresh?
I see SAP_XI_ID_SERV_USER role missing - does this has anything to do with cache refresh?
what authorizations are required to perform a successful(full & delta) cache refresh?

Unable to refresh JComboBox Content

Hi all,
I have 2 JComboBoxx boxes on a jTable. They need to be dynamically updated. It works, but sometimes the combobox appears as a empty list even though it it has content. At that moment, the combobox will return to normal with a more mouse click on the list.
I feel that there is sth. wrong with the refresh. I do the refresh with the following codes. Do you have any idea on this??

Unable to clear the cache content

Hi
messages are stuck in queue, so i went smq1 & smq2 and clear the queue. again i processed it while putting the file in ftp.
In sxi_cache i went and seen it is showing - Unable to clear the cache content. traffic light is in red mode. I know that it should be green....

Check the RFC Destination
INTEGRATION_DIRECTORY_HMI
After deleting this destination an create it again
everything work fine. This step is very errornous. Take care not to hit the enter key when specifying the user
and password.
Do exactly the same step as describe in the Installation
guide. The hint that it will not works is when you test
the connection and the system prompt you for user and
password again even if you have specified this data
already. In this case you do it wrong. Delete the RFC-
Destination an create it again and again until the test will not prompt you for user and password again!
In the xi "installation guide" you can find section:
"Creating RFC Destinations in the ABAP Environment"

Refer Sap note: 1030255.It will solve your problem.
Symptom:
The runtime cache for the integration server (ABAP) is not automatically updated after you activate a change list. The traffic light in the "Cache Updated" column remains red (= it has not started yet). In transaction SXI_CACHE, the system issues the following error message: "Error when reading HTTP destination: INTEGRATION_DIRECTORY_HMI". However, if you start the partial cache refresh in transaction SXI_CACHE, the cache is updated correctly
Reason and Prerequisites
In particular, this problem may occur after you upgrade from NW2004 to NW2004s. The insufficient user authorizations are caused by an obsolete role profile.
You have already checked the following and you did not detect any errors:
- The HTTP destination INTEGRATION_DIRECTORY_HMI exists, is configured correctly, and the target destination can be reached.
- Users entered in the INTEGRATION_DIRECTORY_HMI destination (usually Integration Server service users) and Integration Directory service users (see ExchangeProfile, Eigenschaft com.sap.aii.directory.serviceuser.name) are set up correctly and are not locked.
For more information about these checks, refer to the documentation "How To handle Caches in SAP XI 3.0" or "How To Handle XPI Caches in SAP NetWeaver 04s" Guide (see SAP Service Marketplace, http://service.sap.com/nw-howtoguides).
Solution :
For the users mentioned under "Reason and Prerequisites", proceed as follows:
1. Delete the user profile for the SAP_XI_IS_SERV_USER or SAP_XI_ID_SERV_USER role. To do this, call transaction su01, enter the name of the service user and choose "Display". Then choose the "Roles" tab and double-click to select the SAP_XI_IS_SERV_USER or SAP_XI_ID_SERV_USER role. A new window is displayed. In the new window, choose the "Authorizations" tab and switch to change mode. Here, delete the profile names.
2. Now choose the new profile names that have been proposed.
3. Then choose "Change Authorization Data" and generate the role.
4. Finally, perform a user comparison.

Delta refresh cache in SXI_CACHE Transactions disabled

I have SAP ECC and SAP XI installed on same SAP MMC. ECC is working fine, but the Problem is with SAP XI. When SXI_CACHE transactions executed it giving the error as "Unable to refresh the cache". and the "Delta cache" is also disabled. Then, i go in Go To/Adapter Engine Cache menu and dont existe anything INTEGRATION SERVER in List.

If I go into the LDAP server and modify the SciDevGrid profile to give defaultSearchBase the value "dc=c-noofs.gc.ca", the cachemgr error messages will stop. That leads me to believe this is a configuration problem. Has anyone run across this problem before?
Basically, what I am trying to achieve is a "default" profile which contains users and groups which apply to all LDAP-connected machines. Other profiles will inherit these attributes from the default profile, while providing additional configuration (automount maps and host table) specific to each compute grid we have.

Please Check if the user PIDIRUSER is locked.
If user is not locked, check if the credential for user PIDIRUSER and respective password is correctly maintained in Exchange Profile.
