SXI_CACHE user not authorised and locking password
I am running XI 3.0 (sp12) on MS Cluster 2003, oracle 9.2.0.6.
I am getting errors with the sxi_cache refresh.
I have checked the sm59 connection on INTEGRATION_DIRECTORY_HMI, but always asks for user and password. I have recreated this entry many times.
I have checked the password in exchangeProfile.
I always seem to get the following when refreshing cache..
Unable to refresh cache contents
Error during last attempt to refresh cache
HTTP status code401 Unauthorized
The XIISUSER has SAP_XI_IS_SERV_USER_MAIN.
I have followed the instructions on How to Handle caches in SAP XI 3.0 but that doesn't help.
It seems to lock password after one attempt - even if the correct password is put in... All other clients are fine - just my dev client playing up.
Anyone have any suggestions??
I searched the forum but couldn't find anything the same - similar but the recommendations didn't work.

With the amount of information you've provided it's impossible to offer a solution. We can't see your computer so we need to know the details of your problem and setup, i.e.:
what version of iPhoto are you using?
what system version are you running?
did you apply any updates or upgrades just prior to the problem occurring?
what is the exact message? A screenshot of the message window would suffice.
what fixes have you tried?
where is your library located?
are you running a "managed" or "referenced" library?
what type of Mac?
how much free space on your boot drive? -

Hello, I have created an incident report using Adobe Livecycle Desiger. These forums have been very helpful in answering my questions about expandable fields and the form is done except for my question about password protection. I know how to set a password on the file but I don't want to do this. The file is not sensitive until the answers are entered. At that point, I would like to require the user to password-protect the file using his or her own password before they can save their responses. Does anyone know how to do this? In other words, is it possible to create a PDF file that requires the user (not me, the creator) to define a password prior to saving it? The reason I would like this functionality is because not everyone is necessarily tech-savvy and I would like to make this a requirement so that they never forget to password-protect the file. Does anyone know how to do this?
I have been looking into this and this functionality does not seem to be available. I think that this would be a useful feature for Adobe to introduce. The most I can do to make the file read-only so that I force them to save it again, rename the file and hopefully jog their memory then and there to password-protect it.

You could check our Paul's example for 'Locking all fields' - a quick search of the forums should bring it up.
You could set up a button to ask the user for their password (twice)
Generate a HASH string from the password
Store the HASH string in a hidden textfield
The script would initiate 'Lock all fields' function
When the user click an unlock button they would be asked for there password.
Their input would be converted to a HASH string and if that matches the value in the hidden textfield, all the fields would be unlocked.

T530 Will not Boot and Locks up
Hello,
I have a Lenovo T530 and have already had Lenovo replace the hard drive once in May of 2013. The machine has worked well since then.
However, yesterday I closed my screen to put it into hibernation mode and upon startup my desktop icons all dissapeared. I tried to open task manager, but got an error message so I did a hard restart.
Since then, I have not been able to boot my computer to a functional mode. The computer will go to the user logon screen and I will enter my password. After I enter my password, the machine gets stuck with the circle icon. All the while the Hard Drive Indicator is showing activity.
I also tried booting in Safe Mode. Sometimes it will boot up but then it will lock up (the hard drive is showing constant activity). I am unable to make any selections (e.g. start, etc.).
To fix the issue, I have tried:
Removing the battery and pressing the power button;
Disconnecting the backup battery and reconnecting
I've checked the bootup priority
Starting up on AC power only
Starting up on Battery power only after removing
Does anyone have any ideas as to what might be causing the issue?

Although it seems improbable, the symptoms you describe point again to the hard disk. You could rule out other possibilities if you try a Linux Live cd and run disk tests from there. A good tool for this purpose is the Parted Magic Live cd. Download, burn the iso to a cd or usb stick and boot with it. It will not install itself on the hard disk, it runs from memory and you can run the utility GSmartControl (among others) to check the Smart status of your disk.

In my company we are still on Windows XP. Every month there are hundreds of calls generated for users who connect primarily to the company network via our Corporate wireless and the passwords expire but they are not notified it is going to expire.
This means when users passwords do expire they are then not able to connect to the corporate wireless and the only way to get them up and running again is for them to call the Service Desk and they will then reset the password back to what it was previously.
This has been logged to the companies 3rd line team and they are telling me there is no way to resolve this. I find this pretty unbelieveable as WinXP is a long established Operating system across most companies in the world and having the above
scenario is a massive security risk.

MBA not starting and locked in
Hi all, I am new here and hope can get some support. My MBA does not restart and stays locked in onto the light grey page with the apple logo and rotating sun. I have run fsck_hfs -r /drive/disk0s2 to fix the structure (there were issues noted) and running fsck -fy tells me everything seems OK. However, no improvement at all.
Any good advise to continue the fixing and get it started?

User not able to Change Password in Webaccess
We are running GroupWise 7.0.3 HP3. We have one user who is not able to change her password in Webaccess. Whenever she tries, she get the following error message in Webaccess
Ldap Password Change Failed. Contact your system administrator.
When I look at the POA screen on the server, I see the following error message.
LDAP Error: 53.
Her account is not disabled, expired or locked. I get the same error message when the account has an unlimited number of network aconnections.
If I change the password in ConsoleOne and log into the account, I get prompted change my password because it has expired.

User settings reset and locked out of user folders ! How do I retreive?
Hi everyone,
I'm sure a number of people here on the forums have come across the problem with the blue tint that appears every now and then. It usually appears when connecting an external monitor after the you come back from the screen saver.
Yesterday it happened for the first time without an external monitor connected. I have found a number of sites that have suggested using the command 'sudo chmod 664 *' within the Terminal. I have used it a couple of times to fix this problem but it did not work hence the reason it happened yesterday without a monitor connected. When I did use this command previously I first entered
cd /library/colorsync/profiles/display
When i did it for this occassion i forgot to enter the display folder first.
After this I did a restart and all my user settings were reset and I was locked out of all my user folders. I lost all my desktop settings and everything was back to when I first started my computer.
I did some hunting and found the command 'sudo chmod 777'. I tried this then did a reset and my desktop background returned and the folders were unlocked.
What I want to know is if this is the correct command to bring everything back to normal?

No necessarily, it depends whether you just changed your home folders and nothing else.
But just your home folders present a problems as they should have extended attributes which are now removed. More on that later.
Using one chmod to a directory affects all equally, though the files may have individually different permissions.
I don't know how extensively you have altered the modes permissions, but from what you have shown in your first post your Home folders are incorrect.
For your home folder, which is the default location when you start Terminal, and I dont think you have strayed from there, all the listings, except Parallels are folders, prefaced with the letter d. for folder.
On my machine, for example, the pattern for the home folders all show
drwx------@ 5 xxxxxx staff 170 25 Jun 06:07 Desktop
normally that would be chmod 700 Desktop which will get you
drwx------
but note the @ which shows an extended attribute or ACL in Leopard.
to write the ACL shown as @
You will need to read
man chmod about ACL MANIPULATION OPTIONS
Personally, I think that playing around with chmod without a backup was not a good idea, and I wonder if your ambition has exceeded your knowledge. Sorry if that sounds tough, but a possible Archive and Install may be your safest path I think because what you have messed with was no small oops with a simple fix.
You could just change those home folders to chmod 700 and see how it goes without the attribute, or bite the bullet and do an Archive and Install.
I do not run parallels and so have no idea what is permissions should be.

Really I can't believe how pathetic Apple products are at allowing people under the hood of certain settings or giving you some clue to what error messages mean. My password is entered properly on all devices I'm trying to use Home Sharing on, all check boxes are checked yet the iPad still cannot discover what is on the PC's iTunes list. I've tried everything in all of the forums on this site and nothing works, there is no Music>More>Sharing box that pops up. Also there is no Airplay button in my iTunes on my PC. Does anyone have any suggestions?

PPP Callback over ISDN failure - user not authorised
Hi,I'm still a rookie with Cisco and in need of help: Have a MS XP PC dialing into 803 over ISDN, successfully connecting if 803 config'd for Callback optional (no callback secure) but failing for callback secure with log message "Callback not authorized for this user Support". and despite reading up on PPP callback configs from the RemoteAccess Selfstudy guide, IOS DialTechnologiesConfig, and various examples I am unable to find what I'm doing wrong in the configs. Attached is file with router SW version, debugs used for logging, the active config, and the log. I have edited router name, usernames, and telnr for security reasons.

Also tried setting up 2 1720s with Image ver 2.3(9)Rel(fc2) according to cisco sample doc "Config PPP Callback over ISDN" (isdn-ppp-callback.pdf) even tried PAP instead of CHAP - same result: authenticates user ok but fails callback. If the client is router server reports "no callback config for user ..." and if client is PC " callback not authorized for this user ..."
Have got the 1720 logs for server & client routers if you require.
Where else would it look to, to identify the client as callback, the global username declaration makes sense, according to Command Guide it looks like "dialer callback-server username" references the interface command "dialer map ip .... We've now tried both, neither working. I am truly at a loss here, any ideas?

"Do Not Disconnect" and Locks UP
Everytime I plug in my nano it gets locked on "Do Not Dissconnect" I have to reset to get it to do anything. I am trying to put purchased music on it but its just not working. Any ideas???????
dell Windows XPMe too. I havn't even used my ipod since getting it for Christmas. It has been plugged into the USB for three days and all it says is "DO NOT DISCONNECT" If I do disconnect is as I have done in the past a message appears to refer to itunes/nano/support or something like that. I do so, plug in the ipod and then the message appears on screen that an ipod in restore state has been detected. I try the f R's and still nothing cures it.

Using the note app and a password prompts
When typing in the note app I am continually asked for my Yahoo! password. Entering it does not make the message go away. Please help!
Well, I've got it to work although not ideal.
1. On my main computer (iMac) I created the playlist that I want available to control at a party.
2. I went to iTunes settings/Sharing and selected "Share selected playlists" and checked the playlist I made for a party.
3. I Linked my iPod to MacBook (which is outside with external speakers) using the 4 digit code
4. iPod, Home Sharing Off
5. Select the Library on iPod
6. Select "More" (bottom right of iPod)
7. Select "Shared" from the list that appears
8. Select the computer that has the shared library
9. Select the playlist (or lists if you created others)
This setting is allowing me to use my iPod "Remote App" to play an iTunes playlist (or the entire catalogue) from a shared library on my MacBook WITH the sound coming from my MacBook and NOT from my iMac where the original iTunes catalogue is located.
Not sure if this is the easiest way, but it's working. -
Cmos battery and locked password
I have a R61i with a lost cmos password. I would like to replace the battery before it dies and the computer becomes useless. Can I do this without losing the settings and distroying the computer?
I think some members don't understand the problems that occur when a supervisor password is used. If you don't know the password and remove the cmos battery (or the battery fails), the computer will become useless!.
This means the computer will not boot, you cannot enter the bios setup or do anything else unless you have the password, it will become completely useless.
If you fear the cmos battery is failing and want to replace it, you can solder the new one in parallel with the old one, then clip the wires to remove the old one. This is the only method I'm aware of to replace the battery without disconecting it from the circuit. If you unplug it from the board that will normally render the computer useless. Doing this when powered on might work, but it's very risky to work on a computer while it's running, one slip and you could short out the board and do a lot of damage.
A cmos battery will normally last a very long time, often well over 10 years, so I wouldn't risk replacing it unless you have reason to believe there is something wrong with it.

IPhone suddenly will not sync and locks up iTunes
For a little over 2 weeks now, my iPhone will not sync properly with iTunes. I'll plug in my iPhone and it will instantly lock up iTunes, with the spinning rainbow and all. After awhile, iTunes will start working again, but will be extremely sluggish. If I try to sync the iPhone, it just does a neverending sync, and won't actually work. The phone will show up in iPhoto, but won't show up on my desktop. I've tried reinstalling iTunes over the current version, I've tried different USB ports, different USB cables ... I just cannot figure this out!! Help!
The iPhone does not show up on your desktop regardless - even with manually manage music and video selected for your iPhone sync preferences. The iPhone does not support disk mode.
You are connecting direct to a USB port on your Mac, and not via a USB hub - with connecting to an available USB port on your keyboard or monitor considered a hub?
Does your Mac have USB 2.0 ports, or 1.1?
Long shot for this particular problem, but as a first step, try reseting the sync history on your Mac, which is done via iSync preferences with the iSync application.
After selecting Reset Sync History, restart your Mac and try again.
