Sync with MS-Outlook-Calendar, some entries accurate, some entries out by 2 hours

I've been using a Palm and Outlook since 2000.  While not perfect, they do syncronize nicely.
For a PDA, I need an accurate calendar with details/notes inside of them (contacts, email, mobile telephone are secondary for me)
I'll state again, having a small portable calendar is my #1 (I think my calendar has about 10,000 entries)
I purchased a Curve 9320 yesterday.  Installed BB Destop S/W (but I can't tell what version? - where do I look?) on my XP laptop
did a one way sync from MS-Outlook-2007 to BB (no way am I doing a 2 way Sync until I 100% trust BB)
looking at my calendar entries on my BB, some are correct, some are out by 2 hours (e.g. instead of 1 pm, they say 3 pm).  Huh???
My BB date/time, and my PC date/time are within a minute of each other
I need to have my BB calendar accurate.  Help please???

Hi Shaloooom:
Thanks for your reply, hwever, both the iPhone and the computer clocks are set to Sydney, Australia. Also, the error is only occuring for a small amount of diary entries, not all of them which adds to my confusion.
Thanks
Garry

my iphone calendar wont sync with my outlook calendar. My inbox seems to be syncing just fine, its just that my iphone calendar is not showing the same events i have in outlook.

    Hi
I have the a similar problem - only I can't actually get the calendar to show up. I've added the account and it's showing Mail and Notes but not Calendar. But I'd like it to show the outlook calendar.
    I'm going to
Go to settings > mail contacts calendar
    select your account that's affected
But under that account there isn't a calendar showing and I can't see any options to add it?

  • I can sync with my outlook calendar, but cannot sync with contacts or e-mail.

I can sync with my outlook calendar, but cannot sync with contacts or e-mail.  When I click on Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars it doesn't open and reverts to the home page.  When I try to open Mail I get an error message saying "Cannot get mail.  The user name or password for Gmail is incorrect".  If I press "settings" it reverts to home page.  I was revised to restore settings which I have now done, but the problem has not been resolved. Can anyone help?
i do have a gmail account and may have used this when I first set up itunes/ipad (I'm new to Apple).  However, I want to synchronize with my Microsoft Exchange account.

It may be a bit late for your needs, but there's a sync product for Outlook (an add-in) that will sync public and private folders/calendars.  Once you have your items in a mailbox folder, the regular ios sync will bring it to your device.  It's called Add2Outlook, it's made by DidItBetter.com Software.
It syncs private and public, mailboxes and folders in any direction.  One-way, two-way, read-only or writable.  It also works with Office 365 and hosted exchange providers, if that's your situation.  It works for calendars, contacts, tasks, email, whatever.  It can even sync to PST or between two different Exchange servers.
It installs on your workstation, not on the Exchange server.
Check it out here: Outlook Contact and Calendar Sync for Office 365

  • My iphone4 just stopped syncing with my outlook calendar any ideas for a fix?

My iphone4 just stopped syncing with my outlook calendar.  Any ideas for a fix?

My iPhone 3G and Outlook sucessfully synched everything (contacts, calendar, mail accounts, bookmarks, notes) until V 3.0 of the phone software. Then calendar would not synch no matter what. After a couple of hours on the phone with an Apple rep we discovered that when a new user account was set-up in Windows (XP SP 3), and a new instance of Outlook (Office 2003) was opened in that account the Calendar in the new account would sync. However, when the calendar from the old account was imported into the new account (via .pst export / import), it still wouldn't sync. At that point the Apple rep had no more help to offer. After much offline troubleshooting on my own I found a solution that at least worked for me by the following steps:
    1) create a new mail account through: Control Panel | Category View | User Accounts | Mail (Add a new account, don't copy the old one)
    2) don't know whether this step is necessary, but since the "old" .pst file was 1997-02, I exported / imported it into a 2003 Personal Folders .pst file, and then replaced the .pst file on the "new" mail account with the "updated" .pst file from the "old" mail account.
    3) opened the new mail account and exported all Calendar appointments into an Excel file
    4) in Calendar view of Outlook selected: View | Arrange By | Current View | By Category, then did an Edit | Select All and deleted all appointments.
    5) then using File | Import / Export, imported the Excel file of appointments into Calendar,
    6) open iTunes, select Preferences | Devices and Reset Synch History
    7) under Info select only the Calendar Sync option and the option to replace the Calendar information on the phone with the new Calendar.
The calendar now properly updates (several regualr updates have since been tried). One small annoyance (but preferable to not syncing) the recurring aspect of any appointment (not the appointment itself) is lost, along with any color formatting, but those are easily fixed up afterward.

  • HT1386 My iPhone 4 won't sync with my Outlook Calendar.

I want to sync my iPhone with the Outlook calendar on my PC. I use XP. I sync with a cable to my USB port. Everything else syncs okay, but my iPhone Calendar is not syncing with my MS Outlook calendar. My old entries remain on my iPhone, but nothing I've entered recently syncs to my iPhone calendar. Or vice versa. I've checked my iPhone  Calendars > Edit, all of the Calendars are checked. In iPhone settings, I've looked in Mail, Contacts, Calendars, and there is no reference to Outlook. Shared Calendar Alerts is On. Sync is "All Events." The Default calendar is Public Calendar.
The Default mail is Outlook Express. It is not syncing mail with my Outlook Express email account either, but that's a problem for another day.

This is how I got it fixed.
    First, I reinstalled iTunes
I clicked on the tab with my phone
    I clicked music
Uncheck the box where it says 'Sync Music'
    Hit apply
Recheck the box and hit apply (or sync, whichever is showing at that point)
Hopefully this fixes any problems that anyone else is having.

  • ICloud not syncing with my outlook calendar?

I have a 3GS iPhone and ipdad2 both have been upgraded to the new IOS software. The calendars were automatically syncing yesterday with my outlook calendar but today when I add a new calendar item to either my ipad2 or 3GS iPhone it  will not show up on my outlook calendar.  My iPhone and iPad calendars are automatically syncing but not my Outlook calendar, I checked my settings on both devices and the iCloud is on. Any advice?

Yo can initially install and synce Outlook 2007 with iCloud.  Be careful.  Everything in the Contacts group will move sync up as contacts.  You can use Groups in outlook before syncing for the first time. iCloud does recognize groups.  Download the iCloud for Outlook(PC) app here.  http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1455.  It installs a ew toolbar that says Refreash iCloud.  I have not been sucessful at getting the app to re-sync my outlook with iCloud. In either direction.  iCloud to my Apple devices works great.  But I sure would like to keep Outlook in sync also.  I have been searching for a way to re-initiate the action that takes place when you first install the app.  I have not found a way yet to force a re-syn of Outlook to the iCloud.

  • Since installing iCloud, my iPhone 3GS no longer syncs with my Outlook Calendar and Outlook Contacts.  I don't know what else to try, short of resetting the iPhone and completely reloading as a new device.  Any ideas, anyone?

It's good to know.  The Apple instructions for loading iCloud on a PC just seem to have either overlooked or hidden this limit.  The larger problem is that it partially works:  partially and erratically.  So clean-up is great fun.

  • N96 sync with PC Outlook Calendar

I have an unlocked, unbranded N96 which has developed a problem when attempting to sync with Outlook Calendar.  I have prevously managed to get it to work using Ovi (at Home) to sync the entries in my calendar, however I also used PC Suite (at Work) to do the same thing on another PC, which worked fine.
The problem started when I attempted to re-sync my calendar entries at home again, I installed PC Suite as it seemed easier to use.  Now many of my entries are duplicated and some have dissappeared..
...Basically Help!  Anyone who has had touble with this, or anyone who can suggest what action to take would be greatly appreciated.

Hi I'd like to join in this discussion please - strangely it sounds exactly like what's happening to me at the moment
I did make a backup the other day luckily, on my work PC (assuming I can find where I saved it of course ), but a) I'd forgotten about it, duh b) I'd still like to know what's gone wrong...
I started off with Ovi on a laptop (out of date info) at home - sync worked fine.  Then used PC suite at work - again, worked fine and phone had all up to date info on it.  Then I installed PC suite at home so they both matched - fine, except when I sync'd I forgot to give the phone data priority so I ended up with old info again.  Silly me.  Back to work and told the PC to update the phone with calendar entries again (phew, nearly there I thought).  But it wouldn't.  It recognises the phone but doesn't update the entries.  Getting warnings - one was about loss of profile, but said you could only restore these on Communicators and one other - not mine anyway.  Latest one just says 'Microsoft Outlook'.  Very helpful eh?  So I reinstalled PC suite and switched my phone off and on again (technical approach you know, usually works if you include the odd swear word).  But it's still not updating the calendar entries. I think I've killed it

  • How can I get my phone not to sync with my outlook calendar?

    Can someone please help?

Use sync cable to access itunes on your computer.  Click on the phone under devices, click on the info tab in itune and it will bring up a window that allows you to select what the phone syncs with.  You can select outlook or any other program you have on your computer.  That includes Contacts, Calendars, Mail and notes.  This infor is for a PC computer.

  • How can icloud sync with multiple outlook calendars?

I have an outlook calendar syncing to icloud.  But I want to sync another calendar as well and I want to add holidays.  Can this be done with icloud? Or should I go back to yahoo calendar?  Thanks.

It works for millions of users, you are doing it wrong. Read the directions and follow them exactly, no diversions.
Please try to understand that there is NO sync. iCloud is a server to client Dav system, not a client to client sync system.
How does the desktop tell you that "outlook has been set up to sync"
I would like to know the exact conditions that generate that,
    So post a screenshot here.

  • Why is my iPhone 4 not syncing with my outlook calendar, but my iPad will sync it successfully?

I recently downloaded iOS 5.0.1 and for some reason my outlook calendar no longer shows up in my phone but will show up on my iPad. Is this an iCloud issue? I haven't changed any of the settings recently so am unsure why it now doesn't work.
