Synchronisation fails

I have downloaded a new Itunes version and now my synchronisation for music, books and photo's gives an error. I have tried several times, also have restarted the computer several times, but I can't synchronise anything.

I have same problem.
Tracks keep re-appearing, even after restoring the phone and manually deleting all tracks.
The problematic tracks are ones purchased.
Anyone have any other solution?

Time synchronisation fails on a cFP-2020

Hi all,
I am having problems with time synchronisation on my cFP-2020.
Whenever I restart the FP, the time gets updated from the
specified "server", a laptop running the control vi that
communicates with the autonomuous vi that runs the cFP.
But then time drifts dramatically, roughly 10 minutes per hour!
How can I debug this, set the priority for the time synchronisation
higher (is that possible?) or solve the problem in a satisfactory
way?
To avoid influences of the LAN I now use a router that isolates
the cFP and the Laptop from the rest of the network, still the same
result!

If you are using the Get Date/TIme vi, the timesource is the OS. This clock will drift away from the
hardware clock under CPU load, just like on a PC. Do you have any loops w/o waits or something
else that might be using up a lot of CPU cycles? If you turn off the FP unit for an hour does it power
up thinking it was off for 50 minutes? This might indicate a hardware problem.
After much gnashing of teeth and many discussions with very patient NI people, I have collected the
following suggestions for time on embedded fieldpoint:
1) Use the hardware clock as a source rather than the OS. Create a 500 mS loop to do a FP Read
of one of the dip switches on the controller and write the timestamp to a functional global. Read this
functional global whenever you want the 'real' time. Don't use the Get Date/Time or similar functions.
2) Anywhere that you need only relative time, i.e. 'do x every 500 mS' use the mS timer function.
3) If you are doing a time comparison make sure you consider the case where the clock is significantly
out of whack, either direction. If the clock gets a step change (daylight savings?) you don't want your
1 S loop to wait 3600 +1 S ( or worse, wait until LV time overflows in 2038!). Actually this is more of a
general LV suggestions.
4) Handle the setting of the time on the FP unit within your application. Disable the timeserver. This
way you know when your clock changed plus you can address any potential jitter.

Ipod nano 6th generation synchronisation fails

Synchronization of my ipod 6th generation fails although device is detected by iTunes and synchronization seems to run normally. Even synchronized titles are listed when clicking on the device. But once disconnected, iPod is empty. No error massage.

Itunes synchronisation fails after upgrade to IOS8

Since I upgraded my iPhone 4S the iTunes synchronization does not seem to work anymore.
Music is deleted in iTunes from iphone but remains partially on board.
I deleted everything from iPhone and I am performing a restore....
Installing 12 apps takes about....6 hours ...the I stopped.
Any suggestions?

Synchronisation on connect fails

I'm trying to synchronize my nokia 6021 with outlook.
Setting everything up went fine. Also synchronising manually works almost always.
But when I choose to automaticly synchronize when the phone is connected, the first time it fails.
After a lot of testing I think I know what the problem is, but I don't know how to fix it.
The problem is that synchronisation fails whenever the phone displays a message, or when you are in a menu.
When my phone is in range, and pc suite wants to synchronize, it first connects to my phone. My phone displays a message to accept the connection, when i click on accept it displays another message that it is connected to my pc. But in this time pc sync already failed with the error that my phone didn't respond.
When I then try to configure that my pc can connect without asking it first, it still displays the message that it is connected for too long, causing pc sync to fail again.
In both cases, when i then click manually on synchronize again everything works because he is then already connected, and the phone doesn't show a message.
anyone knows how to solve this?

Phone UI must be idle state before of sync (problem is in phone SW)...I think this problem happen with some older phones and there is nothing what you can do about this.

Synchronisation problem when using iFS as Portal document repository

Is anyone using 9iFS as the repository for their Portal documents but getting DRG-11602: URL store: access to <file name> requires authentication when synchronising the PORTAL30.WWSBR_URL_CTX_INDX index. This is run under schema CTXSYS, using ctx_schedule.
We use a URL on the Portal folder to access the iFS document and, if the ACE on the document ACL includes World Read, then the document is indexed correctly but if it has no World Read access then synchronisation fails with the above error. These secure documents are indexed correctly, however, when synchronising IFSSYS.IFS_TEXT.
When you put the URL for the document in the browser then you are prompted for an iFS username/password and this is obviously the problem when synchronising. Oracle Support say that the Oracle 9i Oracle Text Reference, Chapter 2: Indexing, definition of URL_DATASTORE states :The login:password@ syntax within the URL is not supported. Oracle Support have also suggested that using iFS as the Portal repository is not standard practice and that we should simply add our documents as items on the folder. Doing this means not being able to take advantage of the added functionality of iFS such as versioning and, anyway, I thought that Oracle had plans to fully integrate the two products with iFS being the default repository in a future release of Portal.
Until then has anyone got any ideas for a workaround because we are unable to index the contents of all secure documents on our Corporate intranet? We cant be the only site using iFS and Portal in this way!

I must say that I downloaded the JBoss Portal Binary and not the bundle JBoss AS + JBoss Portal, because I already had a JBoss AS working, so it was the best way to do it (as it is said in the JBossPortalReferenceGuide). I have both things (server and portal) in the same directory, but I don't know if maybe one of them should contain the other (I have seen that in the bundle, the portal directory contains the JBoss application server) When I downloaded the JBoss Portal and tried to deploy it by directing my web browser to http://localhost:8080/portal it did not work, so I decided to copy the jboss-portal.sar directory from the JBoss Portal to the deploy of my server. Maybe this was a mistake.
But anyway I have seen that JBoss Portal 2.6 comes with the myfaces jars, and as JBoss AS 4.2 uses Sun RI by default, it is going to collapse anyway. Should I just remove these jars from the portal? As I told you before, I tried doing it and I got two errors of not found classes.
Please, any help would be really appreciated, I am losing a lot of time with this bug, because the server keeps getting out of memory due to it.

9500 synchronisation with Lotus Notes 6

Nokia PC Synch (ver 6.81.13.0)loaded and settings created to synchronise with Notes ver 6 file on local drive. When trying to synch I get message
Could not open the ID file
then synchronisation fails. i am trying to sych contacts and calender

I got a Nokia 6500 an have the same Problem i can^t synchronise my handy with lotus notes 6.5

I'm Lotus Notes Admin. The .id File is in the Data-directory.
i tried it with local settings and a replicated .nsf file on my notebook.
and i tried it with the server setting. both times i got the same error.

Help please - iTunes classic won't synchronise - Errort message '-69'

Hi. I have a classic 1st generation iPod (60GB) and every time I try to download my music collection from iTunes it fails after a short while and gives me an error message (-69) and says that the synchronisation failed. I've reset factory setings about 20 times and do have the latest version of iTunes. Any advice gratefully received. Thanks.

Hot synchronisation of Skyware software application

While doing this hot sync I get not that Required memory is more than available memory.
I use Windows 98
Skyware software is medical application and may is requiring advanced platform like Vista
Handheld provides a note that doc to go version older one already installed in the handheld
Please help me in installing Skyware and I donot know whether to upgrade Data viz or documents to go etc is necessary

Please realize, third-party software problems are not the focus here at Palm Community Forums - I'm a volunteer, and trying to help you! A little patience please...
Another problem you have - the E2 cannot use SD cards larger than 1 GB. That may be messing up the install, since the program installer can't find your card.
There should be a manual installed on your computer for the 5mcc program. Look for it in your start menu. With a proper card present, it may need much less room in RAM.

Synchronising Nokia E71 with iMac using Isync

I use iSync to synchronise my E71 with my iMAC. Although it works fine with contacts it will not work with Calendars. At the end of the process I get an "synchronisation failed" error message:

I have tried many times to do this but I still get the same error. I have tried resetting the E71 back to factory settings, reinstalling the plug in, resetting the sync but have run out of ideas. WIll the E71 actually sync correctly with a MAC and, if so, how do I overcome this problem?

I am using E71 and I donot have any problem syncing with calender. Have you checked with latest firmware? what is your firmware version?
I am not sure this will resolve your problem but you could try with this.
1. Remove Previous phone plugins from Library/phone plugins
2. Delete files from User/Library/caches/
3. Remove chaches from System/library/chaches
4. Download and install iSync plugin from Nokia website
Make sure you have installed all available updates from Apple using Software Update and your phone firmware is updated.

Cannot restore data after hard reset

Hi,
I had to recently do a hard reset on my Tungsten E. I tried to restore the data from Palm Desktop as indicated on the support website. Unfortunately, the synchronisation fails because Hotsync is not able to recognize the user name. Hotsync on my device indicates that no user name is currently implemented, while Palm desktop is currently set to my old user name.
I would appreciate any advise on this issue.

kindly check the username of the handheld
-open hotsync on the handheld and the username will be on the top right
if there is no username displayed,
during hotsync, the computer asks you if you want to uses existing usernamae or create a new one
so, please select and existing username

Disconnection issue at roughly same time everyday.

Hi new to posting here but not to reading problems.
I've had a ongoing problem since April when my homehub2 suddenly gave up downloading, it was uploading fine but would not download, a borrowed hub proved this.
I got in contact with BT, new contract (ooppss!!) and a new HH3 sent to my door.
Connected and all ran perfect same speeds or thereabouts as i was getting before.
Then next morning before work trying to get online with my phone i couldn't, checked HH and all lights were blue but no internet, switched pc on (wired) and nothing so i reset the HH and it worked again, didn't think anymore of it.
Next few days were fine, then woke in morning and went through same process, this happened on and off over next 2 weeks rang up BT (otherside of planet call center) and was promptly sent a new HH3 as that was DEFINITELY the problem according the 'expert' on the other end of the very long line.
Fitted and same problem, after countless calls to India i lost the will to live and just gave up as i have a very busy summer job and really didn't need the stress. I have been reseting the hub most mornings since
NOTE: sometimes the Broadband light is orange but mostly it's blue.
Now my next door neighbour has recently upgraded there HH2 to a HH3 and they have now started getting these problems, they to have made countless calls to India and got nowhere (apart from another HH3). This had prompted me to try and get on top of it again.
Let me point out that it's not always at exactly the same time in morning, sometimes it doesn't do the disconnect till later in morning, but mostly when i wake up for work at 7am and try to check emails with my phone, i can sometimes then by 7:15am it might disconnect or 7:30am.
Looking at my event log in the HH i get alot (and i mean alot) of this error
(79685.040000) Time synchronisation failed. Tried all servers
I am connected straight to the master socket with just one phone plugged in, no extensions at all, i have changed the filter more times than i can count. I have also switched off ALL electrical devices in house except HH3 and it made no difference.
This all started with my HH2 failure and BT don't seem to care or have no idea, if i don't get it sorted then the contract will be null and void in my eyes as a
'broadband provider is contractually bound to deliver a service you agreed to pay for so they have to take your request seriously if you don't think they're keeping up their end of the agreement.'
that is taken from a UK broadband consumer rights website i have emailed, i'm now exhausting all avenues of problem solving so if they still don't sort it then bye bye BT.
Sorry about the slight aggression but when i pay £23.99 a month for a piddly 2.5mbps( i live in little village), when some of my friends pay £10 for 20mbps(town) connections AND i get palmed off with poor customer services i get very wound up.

I did the quiet line test but not with a corded phone, can't find anyone with one, there is a small amount of hissing but as you say that is probably interference, having said that phone calls are always quite quiet.

PCSuite Sync - "System Error"

Recently I have started getting the message "System Error" on my N73 when synchronising with PC Suite. I notice from several posts in this forum that many other people have reported this problem, yet I am not happy with all of the suggested solutions.
I synchronise my N73 with two different PCs, one is Windows 2000 and the other Windows Vista (still waiting for my company to upgrade us to Windows XP!!). This has worked well for a long time, and allows me to have a synchronised calendar at work, home and everywhere I go. (Both PCs use Bluetooth to sync regularly when the phone is in range).
I have not updated either the phone nor any of the PC suite applications, so I can only conclude that the System Error is caused by a corrupt entry in the calendar, contacts or something else that is being synchronised.
*** My request to Nokia is that having reached the point where the synchronisation fails, can you highlight the entry so that it can be resolved by the operator?
I have over 500 contacts and over 6 months of calendar synchronised in my N73, therefore wiping all of the data in the phone is not an option I wish to persue. I can confirm that it is not low on memory and all software is up to date. Like I said, it worked before and I made no system changes.
The error message from PC Sync simply says "PC Sync was not able to send data to the mobile phone."
The problem first started at home, but now I'm getting the message at work too.
If anyone knows any other ways to resolve this, I would be glad to hear.

Hi,
If your phone supports create new sync support, click on create new sync settings while at the Finish option you will spanner icon for advance settings of Nokia PC Sync - It will Automatic Sync, Conflict Resolution, Direction and Sync profile. In that Direction is 3rd option.
BTW., which version of pc suite are you using? Which handset are you using? Connectivity BT/IR/USB ??

Sync Mac/nokia xpress music 5310

Recently the synchronisation between my phone Nokia Xpress Music 5310 and Mac OsX 10.4.11 fails.
Before, I used i Sync with the plug-in advised on the Nokia support site, but now synchronisation with iCal fails and stays hanging allways on the same number of items. I tried to install the plug in on another Mac, and also there synchronisation fails...Now on my computer I have i Sync 2.4.
Anyone any idea why it stopped functioning? (before I really didn't have any problem with the synchronisation with iCal...) Any idea what to do about it?

Could be a possiblity that the ical is not responding to the sync command from isync.
Try the steps below and check if it works.
- Open Isync and then go to isync preferences-Reset Sync history.
- Remove the device from the isync application window
- Go to HDD/Library/Phone plugins and drag and drop the plugin to the trash.
- Restart Mac and then download the plugin from www.nokia.com/mac and check.
Alternatively you could also try the following steps.
- Go to Library/Calendars/Sue.ics, now drag and drop the sue.ics file to the desktop.
- Now double click the sue.ics file in the desktop it will ask if you want to import the ics file into an existing calendar or a new calendar. Select new calendar.
NOTE: Please make sure that you take a back up of all the calendar entries before performing the above steps.

OTA SyncML on 6230i

Hi,
I have a 6230i and I wish to sync my contacts over-the-air to a SyncML server. I've seen on various pamphlets that SyncML support is listed for the 6230i, but I cannot find a sync menu or any button/options for initiating a sync.
The phone details:
Nokia 6230i v03.40 (23-05-05) RM-72, GSM P1.1
I am in the UK connected to O2 UK.
Does this phone support OTA SyncML, alternatively is ther a Java program/client that can be installed to provide this functionality?

Hello,
I've had another look and eventually I have found some sync settings under organiser - sync, from there I have been able to configure the username, password and the account (set to SYNCML). I have also found that I can select to synchronise contacts and/or calendar from here.
However for some reason the sync fails - this is using a configuration 'unamed' which I think is the result of the OTA setting SMS.
I have now found that in [ settings > configuration > personal configuration ] I can add a new synchronisation configuration. In that I have specified a new account name, server address, user name and password, (which I am fairly sure is correct) and I have configured a contacts database location (relative to the server address, e.g. ./pab) and I have repeated the same username and password for the contacts DB as the server I'm talking to doesn't have seperate authentication as far as I can tell....
I cansee the GPRS icon comes on, it says "initialising sync" then a few seconds later "synchronisation failed".
So I'm going back to support team for the server to see if they can see anything in the logs there - they say there is nothing in the log. I don't suppose you know if there is a Sync (error) log on the phone somewhere to see what is happening at the phone end?
