  • Reading azure table - The request has timed out

    Hi,
    I am developing a Windows store application with offline synchronization using Azure Mobile services. Have a table called

    When I am calling ProductTbl.PullAsync("ProductSync_Table", productTbl.Where(x => x.SKU == pItem.SKU);

    Can anyone please tell me how to get out of this issue.

    If this is timing out on you:
        var items=ProductTbl.Where(x => x.SKU == pItem.SKU).ToCollectionAsync();
    Then you most likely need to add an index on your SKU column, or use another filter that can have it avoid needing to look at all 7 million records.
    Have you timed how long the raw query takes to do directly on your SQL db?
    Most likely you may need to setup some indices to use.  For offline sync, it will want to sort & filter by "__updatedAt" in addition to your filters.  So that
    is something to take in mind when optimizing your SQL performance.

  • Request timed out because there has been no reply from the server in 600000

    Issue:
    Request timed out because there has been no reply from the server in 600000
    Scenario:
    1. All the crystal reports are designed by using Crystal Report 2008 Version -- 12.3.0.601
    2. All reports are uploaded to CMC (SAP Business Objects Enterprise XI, Product: 12.1.0)
    3. using Front-End .net Winform
    4. Crystal Report is binding is done using Business View Manager (since having more than one databases)
    5. Business View Manager Connects to Oracle using "Oracle Server" connection
    6. Loading reports as follows
    string queryString = string.Empty;
    SessionMgr sessionMgr = new SessionMgr();
    EnterpriseSession enterpriseSession = sessionMgr.Logon(userName, userPassword, serverName, authType);
    EnterpriseService enterpriseService = enterpriseSession.GetService("InfoStore");
    InfoStore infoStore = new InfoStore(enterpriseService);
    enterpriseService = enterpriseSession.GetService("PSReportFactory");
    Object psrfObject = enterpriseService.Interface;
    PSReportFactory psReportFactory = (PSReportFactory)psrfObject;
    queryString = "Select SI_CUID, SI_ID, SI_NAME, SI_PARENTID From CI_INFOOBJECTS " + "Where SI_PROGID='CrystalEnterprise.Report' " + "And SI_ID=" + ReportId;
    InfoObjects infoObjects = infoStore.Query(queryString);
    InfoObject infoObject = infoObjects[1];
    ReportDocument crDoc = new ReportDocument();
    crDoc.Load(infoObject, enterpriseSession);
    7. All the reports are getting loaded properly and i am able to dynamically set the report parameters
    8. After executing report, some of the reports take more than 10 minutes, due to which shows following error
    Request timed out because there has been no reply from the server in 600000
    Note i have done following:
    1. I have checked stored procedure running through oracle for more than 10 minutes (1 hr, 2 hrs)
    2. Tried simply running crystal report without front-end running perfectly more than 10 minutes (1 hr, 2 hr)
    3. When i run .net winform application for specific reports which takes long time, gives "Request timed out because there has been no reply from the server in 600000"
    Also i have done lot much R&D and spent almost weeks to get resolution but not getting any solution out of it, please help me in this case

    This error is specific to RAS. The default CORBA request timeout is 10 minute = 600000 ms. When the RAS SDK does not get the reponse back from RAS server in 600000 ms it throws this message. Why it works in InfoView\CMC what I believe you refer to as "Front End' application is because InfoView\ CMC don't use RAS.
    1. First make sure that a smaller report wich runs pretty fast ( 1-2 min) works. This will confirm that there is no connectivitiy issues between RAS and RAS SDK.
    2. If you get the efrror for every single report, even the smaller ones, make sure the box running RAS and RAS SDK code( in case they are 2 different) can ping each other with IP, shortname and FQDN. If there is a firewall between them, the RAS port needs to be opened for bidirectional communication. By default RAS chooses a random port for communication with SDK but within CMC you can configure it to use a specific port and open it.
    3. If the issue is specific only to reports that are long running, typically more than 10 minutes, then you need to inclease the CORBA timeout to a value more than what the reports typically would take to process. This is done on client code side or IIS in this case.
    Here are the steps:
    Make the following changes on the application server/system.
    Open RegEdit by going to Start > Run and typing in regedit.exe. Then click Ok.
    Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Business Objects\Suite 11.5\Report Application Server\Client SDK\CorbaAdapter
    Change the value of SendRequestTimeout(ms) to 100000.
    Change the value of WaitReplyTimeout(ms) to 6,000,000 ms. The default value is 600,000 ms and may not be long enough.
    Restart IIS by going to Start > Run and typing in iisreset. Then click Ok.
    Retry the failing application.

  • Timed out error NET BOXI sdk

    Hi,
    I am trying to run a report using BOXI sdk (11.0.3300.0) dlls  VS 2003 NET application.
    Using RASReportFactory and reportclientdocument.
    I am able to create Enterprise session and also able to get InfoObjects from BOXI server.
    When the code reaches to opendocument of rasreportfactory..I get following error
    Request timed out because there has been no reply from the server in 600000 ms.
    The report is not very simple and run fine and fast from Infoview/CMC
    I tried different ways to run the report ReportDocument, ReportSource besides RAS but everytime when I try to openDocument I get the same error.
    EnterpriseService svc = enterpriseSession.GetService("RASReportFactory");
                   ReportAppFactory rptFactory = (ReportAppFactory)svc.Interface;
                   ReportClientDocument rdc;
                   rdc = rptFactory.OpenDocument(myInfoObject.CUID, 0);
    Any help is appreciated
    Thanks

    Hi,
    Unfortunatley I couldn;t get hold of any packet sniffer tool. I need to get persmissions to install such software and its time consuming in our organization.
    I followed the steps in the document for the firewalls you pointed me to. Tuened out that its a firewall issue.
    1) Opened REGEDIT
    2) went to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Business Objects\Suite 11.5\CER
    3) Changed the following values
    RequestPortLower from 0 to Decimal 1395 (5013)
    RequestPortUPPER from 10000 to decimal 1395 (5013)
    4) Went to Control panel/Windows Firewall
    5) Created an exception Added name : "RAS test", Port no : 5013
    6) The when I ran my test application from IIS (it started working
    without timeout error)
      Note:
        Both my test applications (2005 and 2008) worked fine hosted from IIS of my local machine.
    7) I still need to test my actual application. ( I think it will work too)
    Now my question is:
    The above things I performed on my local machine.
    I will be deploying this application on our webservers in DEV
    environment.
    Our infrastructure guys are already installing BO XI R2 client on those
    dev servers which will put all the BO XI R2 SDK related assemblies
    (11.5 version )in GAC of those.
    Do they have to open a specific port on those servers as I did above?
    Are there specific ports we need to use?
    At enterprise level the Infrastructure guys are never happy to open ports
    and create firewall exception rules for them?
    Any guidelines will be helpful
    We are getting there..I really appreciate your help
    Thanks

  • Request timed out when purchasing music. Fresh install of Win7.

    For the past couple months I have have not been able to purchase music off iTunes without first going into Add/Remove programs and doing a "Repair" to iTunes. Windows Firewall wasn't blocking anything from Apple and even with the firewall totally disabled I would still get the "Request timed out" error. And at the same time I'm getting these errors, a Podcast can be in the background downloading or I can be previewing a song! I eventually gave up and just figured its some random windows bug that isn't very common or its just another example of iTunes sucking for Windows and Apple not caring. I just purchased most of my music off AmazonMP3 which I've been doing more and more of anyway.
    Yesterday I installed a new HDD and installed a fresh copy of Windows 7 Home Premium from my retail disc. I Installed all the updates then proceeded to install my software and put all my media back in-place. I'm a backup neat-freak so all this happen pretty easily and fast. I purchased a song off iTunes and was pleased to see it working again. Well here I am again suddenly having the issue with the connection timing out when purchasing a song. Firewall is configured fine and again I even disabled it. I know its not Windows now as there haven't been any new Drivers or Updates installed since I last purchased a song. I even tried different network adapters! What the heck is going on?

    There are a few timeouts that could come into play here. One is a Corba timeout.
    You'll want to adjust your ConnectionTimeout in your regisry under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\BUSINESS OBJECTS\Suite 11.5\CER. The default value is 600000. Try doubling it to 1200000.
    You may also want to increase your httpExecution timeout as well in your web.config file.

Also i cannot download anything from the App store as a result of this.

    Can you check the Object Security for the Analysis Menu and Export button and see if it is restricted?
    Also, is this a Oracle DB?  IF so, has the following 32 bit Oracle Client components been isntalled:

  • Javax.transaction.SystemException: Timed out while in 'Logging' state!!!!

    Hello, we have an OracleWeblogic 10.3.2 running on a Solaris OS.
    In this AppServer we have a FullStack J2EE Application executing distributed transactions that involve 3 manageable resources:
    TxDatasource (EJB),
    NonTxDatasource with enableTwoPhaseCommit and
    JMS
    Some of the transactions are timing out while in 'Logging' state and I just cant figure out what the root cause is. As a defensive action I lowered the JTA Timeout seconds because I noticed the 'Logging' phase was taking too long and then timing out. Idea here was not to have too many threads hanging in Logging state and therefore use the JTA Timeout to overcome this problem and minimize impact.

    Below, I'm posting a few exceptions thrown in applicaiton log. Any help is very appreciated.

  • Statement in resumable session 'SYS.SYS_IMPORT_FULL_01.1' was timed out

    I am working on Oracle 10.2.0.2 database on Solaris 10.
    I am trying to import a schema into the database but the datapump job was hanging due to resumable timeout. Temp tablespace ran out of space.
    Alert log
    ORA-01652: unable to extend temp segment by 128 in tablespace TEMP
    Wed Sep 22 07:38:24 2010
    statement in resumable session 'SYS.SYS_IMPORT_FULL_01.1' was timed out
    Wed Sep 22 08:00:52 2010
    alter database tempfile '/u01/oradata/DATA/temp01.dbf' autoextend on next 400M maxsize 16G
    Wed Sep 22 08:00:53 2010
    Completed: alter database tempfile '/u01/oradata/DATA/temp01.dbf' autoextend on next 400M maxsize 16G
    Import log
    Processing object type SCHEMA_EXPORT/TABLE/GRANT/OWNER_GRANT/OBJECT_GRANT
    Processing object type SCHEMA_EXPORT/TABLE/INDEX/INDEX
    The status of the job is executing.
    Worker 1 Status:
    State: EXECUTING
    Object Schema: TAINT
    Object Name: AALTAINT_IDX0
    Object Type: SCHEMA_EXPORT/TABLE/INDEX/INDEX
    Completed Objects: 160
    Worker Parallelism: 1
    Now I have increased the size of the temp file and want the datapump job to continue. Will I be able to force it or should I wait for the datapump job to retry after the timeout period?

    Hi,
    1) After resumable timeout , it will be resumed
    2) You can use one more option
    impdp>help
    impdp> start_job jobname
    It will resume the paused job
    Hope this answers your question

  • DB Connect error: ORA-12535: TNS:operation timed out

    Hi,
    I am trying to connect to a external oracle database from SAP.
    I entered the TNS entry of the external DB in the TNSNAMES.ORA and configured it in the table DBCON.
    But i am not able to connect to the external database. It is throwing the error
    "sql error     12.535 ; occured:ORA-12535: TNS:operation timed out"
    But i was able to connect the database from my system through TNSPING and also from TOAD.
    Do i need to configure any parameter in LISTENER.ORA in SAP or in the external database?

    Hi,
    Thanks for the reply.
    The note which you specified was with BI objects. But i am trying to connect from SAP R/3 to a remote Oracle database.
    I got connected to the  remote Oracle database for an hour and it got disconnected by saying "TNS operation timed out".
    The CONNECT_TIMEOUT parameter in LISTERER.ORA of the remote Oracle database  is missing.
    Will this may be the cause for the "TNS operation timed out".

  • The request has timed out after 00:00:00 milliseconds.

    Hello,
    I am having weird exception when I try to send a message to a topic and there's nothing on the internet I could "google with Bing" about it.
    Here's the error message
    The request has timed out after 00:00:00 milliseconds. The successful completion of the request cannot be determined. Additional queries should be made to determine whether or not the operation has succeeded.
    There are two things weird about it:
    The timeout period is 0 miliseconds
    The number of miliseconds is given in format 00:00:00
    Here's the whole stack

    We had the same issue and solved it.
    We changed the authorization of the servicebus to SAS and all is working fine now.
    1. Check Azure Portal  select your ServiceBus and go to register configuration
    2. You need the Name and Key of existing Rule (here RootManageSharedAccessKey) or insert a new Rule. We created a new rule with no manage access.
    3.1 In Code:
    Replace the SharedSecretCredentials with SAS Tokenprovider and add it to the endpoint behaviors like before
    TransportClientEndpointBehavior sas = new TransportClientEndpointBehavior();
    sas.TokenProvider = TokenProvider.CreateSharedAccessSignatureTokenProvider("NAMEofRULE","KEYofRULE");
    3.2 App.Config:
    Simply change the tokenprovider line from
    <behaviors>
          <endpointBehaviors>
            <behavior name="sharedSecretClientCredentials">
              <transportClientEndpointBehavior>
                <tokenProvider><sharedSecret issuerName="ACSNAME" issuerSecret="ACSKEY"/></tokenProvider>...
    to
    <sharedAccessSignature keyName="NAMEofRule" key="KEYofRULE"/>
    Hope it helps!

  • Connection timed out when try to connect orb through iiop

    Don't mean to add to the possible confusion here, but most newer routers (Apple included) allow their users to "hide" their network, so it's also very possible and likely in an apartment situation that you can pick up interference from a network that you or Air Radar cannot "see".
    So, trying to find the "right" channel becomes a bit more of guessing game.
    Understand that you need "g" for your devices. For the future though, you might watch the Air Radar screen for channels in the 36-48 and 149-161 range to see how much less activity is going on there.

    No point looking at the code. The error message says the code can't connect to the server you are trying to connect to, so presumably there's a firewall or something like that preventing the connection. Talk to your network people.

    You would need to define secondary RFC Destination. Follow these steps to the end.
    1.Create a secondary RFC user and an authorization in the backend(ECC)
    1a)In Transaction SU01, create a new user (on the 'Logon data' tab,
    you should select user type 'Dialog' or 'Service').
    1b) Call Transaction PFCG for the role maintenance and create your own
    role.
    1c) In the role, select the 'Authorizations' tab and and choose the
    button to change the authorization.
    1d) Do not select ANY template on the dialog box.
    1e) Choose 'Manual' ; then enter authorization object S_RFC and confirm
    the entry.
    1f) Expand the authorization object and choose the pencil symbol for
    the 'Name of RFC to be protected'.
    1g)Choose the pencil symbol for the 'Type of RFC object to be
    protected', select the 'Function group' checkbox and save the
    change.
    1h)Generate and save the authorizations. Then return to the role.
    1i)On the 'User' tab, enter the user you have created and carry out a
    user comparison.
    2. Define an secodary RFC destination in SRM server with the RFC user you have created
    3. Supplier Relationship Management -> SRM Server -> Technical Basic Settings -> Define Backend Systems
       In the Logical system entry of your backendsytem :Enter the secondary RFC destination into RFC(Dialog) field of the
    4.Also make sure that the end user(Person creating shopping cart) has authorization object M_BBP_SHLP.
    Let me know if this helps.
    Thanks,

  • Connection timed out when making RMI call

    Hello,
    I am using a combination of Spring Remoting and Scheduling with Quartz Timer. Both are using RMI as a communication stack. The RMI server is located in sydney while the client is located in the US. This incurs large network lag which causes my RMI method calls to timeout. I am able to do a lookup on the RMI object and receive a stub reference to it with no problem but as soon as I try to invoke a remote method on that stub it eventually times out.
    Thinking it was truly a timeout issue I implemented a Custom socket factory for RMI using RMISocketFactory.setSocketFactory(new TimeoutSocketFactory(120000));Here is the custom TimeoutSocketFactory:
    public class TimeoutSocketFactory extends RMISocketFactory {
            private int timeout;
            private static final Logger log = Logger.getLogger(TimeoutSocketFactory.class);
            public TimeoutSocketFactory(int timeout) {
                this.timeout = timeout;
            public Socket createSocket(String host, int port) throws IOException {
                log.debug("Creating timeout socket with value - " + timeout);
                Socket ret = getDefaultSocketFactory().createSocket(host, port);
                ret.setSoTimeout(timeout);
                return ret;
            public ServerSocket createServerSocket(int port) throws IOException {
                ServerSocket ss = getDefaultSocketFactory().createServerSocket(port);
                ss.setSoTimeout(timeout);
                return ss;
    }I implemented the custom socket factory both on the RMI server and on the RMI client. This had no effect on the time outs that occured when trying to make an RMI call to the server even though the sockets were being built by this custom class (have logging in place).
    Is there something else I need to do to increase the timeout period? And how do I know if it's a server or a client issue?
    Thanks,
    Anthony Bargnesi

    Well this is a connect timeout, not a read timeout, so it has nothing to do with your socket factory, and your socket factory won't help. It's a connectivity issue. Can you ping that host from the client? Can you telnet to port 7?
    In fact no socket factory will help because there is no way of increasing the connect timeout beyond the default: you can only reduce it.
