Synchronous SOAP sender

HI Guys,
I had created a synchronous SOAP sender adapter (Webservice -> RFC), the interface is working and it is updating the records in SAP using RFC but iam not getting the response back from SAP. And the other thing which i noticed is when i change the QOS as Best Effort, Iam not getting any message into SXMB_MONI,but the record is updating in SAP. If is use the QOS as Exactly once the message is showing up in SXMB_MONI. Can anyone let me know regarding the config / design steps for the synchronous response ?
regards,
kittu.

  • Help Need on SOAP (Sender) to RFC Scenario(Synchronous Communication)

    Hi All
    I have a requirement of <b>SOAP(Sender) to RFC</b> scenario(Syncronous Communication).  The scenaio goes like this........
    I have a web service through which I have to create a SAP Notification in SAP system and the Notification ID created and other details have to be returned back to the webservice from the BAPI.  I have identified the relevant BAPI for the scenario.
    I have a wsdl file which I have uploaded it.  What are the next steps to be done?
    Please let me know what all(e.g., Data types, Message Types, Message Interface)  I have to create in Integration Repository and what all configurations I have to make in Integraion Directory.
    FYI, I have a gone through a list of Blogs, but didn't get enough info.
    Please help me out in providing your valuable answers.
    Thanks,
    Vijay
    P.S. Rewards points are sure .....

    Hi Vijay,
       If at all you have uploded wsdl file for the webservice you no need to create data types for the same even for the same as RFC also.
         Create message mapping and drag the wsdl file which you have imported as External Definiations and there you will be having request and response parameters..Do the mapping accordingly(according to your requirement).
    Mapping like:
        Wsdl(Request)---->RFC (Input parametrs)
        RFC (out parameters)------>wsdl(Response)
    Create message interface with Synchronous for outbound
        No need of DT,MT if at all if you import the wsdl file.
       Hope i am clear.
      Please let me know if you have any queries..!
      Thanks and Regards,
      Chandu.

  • XI30 SPS16 - SOAP Sender Adapter - self-defined SOAP-Header

    Hi Folks!
    My scenario is that I have to send a synchronous SOAP message to an external receiving system which expects certain processing information in the SOAP header. That external system then synchronously sends back a response SOAP message to tell me the processing results of my request message.
    The How-To Guide SOAP Adapter says that for the request message I have to create the whole SOAP Envelope (SOAP Enevelope, Header and Body) on my own within the mapping and that I have to remove the SOAP header in the response message. Unfortunately this guide does not tell me how this can be realized.
    In other SDN threads I've read that this can be achieved by using XSLT mappings. Unfortunately I have never done this before and currently I have no clear idea how to do this. And to be honest: I am everything else than an XSLT expert (historically I'm coming from the ABAP part of SAP R/3).
    My plan is to create the request payload using the graphical mapping tool and to add an XSLT mapping as 2nd mapping to build the SOAP "overhead" around the payload.
    For the response my plan is to first use XSLT mapping to remove the SOAP "overhead" from the response message and then use the graphical mapping to handle the payload.
    Questions:
    1. Is this possible?
    2. How can I achieve this?
    3. Can anybody send me an XSLT mapping sample to create a SOAP envelope, header and body around the payload for the request message?
    4. Can anybody send me an XSLT mappping sample to remove the SOAP envelope, header and body around the payload for the response message?
    Because I'm everything else than an expert in XSLT mappings, some kind of a "click guide with samples" would be VERY GREAT!
    Thanx in advance to anybody who will help me!!! For real help maximum points are guaranteed.

    Hi Volker,
    Try this XSLT code, chanfe the TODO part.. add the SOAP header part. Save it as .xsl. ZIP it and import it in the Imported archive. Please test it I have'nt test the code as I dont have a system access now.

  • SOAP Sender Adapter: CDATA in response is lost

    Hi,
    Issue: CDATA sections in response messages are removed in the adapter engine and content of what used to be a CDATA section is replaced with HTML equivalents.
    Simplified version of my scenaio:
    Request is sent to SAP XI via synchronous SOAP adapter (HTTPS). Next BPM receives the request and returns the request as response. A response mapping creates static output which contains a CDATA section. This is done via an XSLT mapping.
    When I look in AFW the response looks just as expected. The CDATA section is present and everythings nice.
    When I look in ICM everything also looks very nice - CDATA section is present.
    When I receive the response in my client (uses both SAP SOAP client and wfetch) cdata section is gone and replaced with HTML equivalents.
    If I sent message directly into integration engine instead of using AFW then the response is returned nicely - CDATA section is present.
    Anybody can explain this?
    Best Regards,
    Daniel

    ok, kind of stupid.
    After some reconsideration the following became clear to me:
    1) ICM handles communication in/out of ABAP stack and thus is not really relevant to consider for the problem at hand.
    2) The fact that my Sender SOAP adapter is using SOAP envelope, means that the adapter has to parse the response when wrapping it in an envelope. During this proces the CDATA section disappear because its all the same to the parser in any case.
    Problem solved - "mystery" explained! In order to send CDATA section as a response I thus need to manually handle the SOAP envelope.

    We have checked on the server and all the above mentioned .jar files are all in place.
    I have compared the Processing Sequence and Module Configuration of the Module tab (for the communication channel) with the other environments and everything seems to be fine.

  • Synchronous SOAP to RFC

    Hi All,
    I have a doubt that in a Synchronous SOAP to RFC/PROXY interface that is it we need to configure the entire Interface and then have to test the Webservice for the response from Altova??
    I have configured SOAP at the sender and RFC at the receiver but my Customize BAPI is not yet ready but I want to test the Webservice from Altova,Is it so that i need to configure the whole scenario and test it.
    Isnt it enough if I do basic Configuartion??
    Thanks & Regards,
    R.K

    hi,
    if u want to test u r WEBSERVICE using altova spy...  u need not configure whole scenario.. configure simple soap to file scenario and check u r webservice..
    if u want to check syncronous scenario... for the testing use a BAPI which is already existing..
    Thanks,
    Madhav

  • Only HTTPS requests are working for SOAP Sender and HTTP not working

    wHi Experts,
    We have enabled our HTTPS port ( SSL ) in NWA -- >> Security -- >> SSL and Key stores. So understanding is HTTPS port is now enabled on top of HTTP. So PI should be able to cater requests at both ports.
    Now, we have developed a synchronous SOAP to RFC scenario and downloaded WSDL file. This file has both links -
    a. http:<host>:<port>
    b. https:<host>:<port>
    We intend to make a PI system where both ports can work. Now questions.
    1. When we test web service exposed from PI using SOAPUI tool, only HTTPS works fine and gets the response back. If we try HTTP URL, an error is encountered - HTTTPS scheme is required.
    2. Is this whole understanding that both ports  ( HTTP, HTTPS ) should be able to operate simultaneously correct ? Or this is not at all possible ?
    3. In SOAP Sender, we tried selecting all 3 options - 1. HTTP 2. HTTPS without client authentication 3. HTTPS with client authentication.
       None of the options have any effect on testing, Each time, only HTTPS request works and HTTP doesn't.
    Can anyone please provide some hints for troubleshooting ?
    Thanks..
    regards,
    Rajagopal.

    The error "HTTPS scheme is required" is normally returned when the HTTP Security Level on the SOAP adapter is not set to "HTTP". I can see you have mentioned you have tried all these, maybe a cache refresh has gone wrong? Could try recreating the channel with just HTTP specified as security level and this should allow HTTP or HTTPS
    I assume you are using a different port number for  your HTTP and HTTPS requests from SOAP UI. Normally the HTTPS port is the same as the HTTP port number but the final zero changed to a 1 i.e. https://<host>:50001 instead of http://<host>:50000.
    You should be able to confirm both HTTP and HTTPS work OK by loading some of the system webpages in a browser over HTTP and over HTTPS i.e. http://<host>:<port>/nwa and https://<host>:<port>/nwa

  • ASMA in SOAP Sender adapter.

    Hi All,
    Using ASMA under SOAP sender adapter I am trying to get the username of the user . I am referring below links for the same:
    /people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2009/05/26/pixi-pseudo-principal-propagation (referring this only for getting username)
    getting user name from sopa header
    But while testing through XML SPY , i am getting error :
    Com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: Received HTTP response code 500 : Error during parsing of SOAP header.
    Please help??.
    Thanks
    Amit

    Hi.
    I have created WSDL file using below URL:
    http://ISVSAPPIDEV:50100/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?channel=:BS:CC_SOAP_Sender
    Actually its a synchronous SOAP -PI - RFC scenario. When i am pinging the PI through XML spy(ASMA AND Transport Binding is UNCHECKED in soap sender channel)  i am getting the response back from RFC,  but when i am pinging after chking the ASMA and Transport Binding in SOAP sender adapter i am getting this error(the message is itself not reaching the PI):
    Com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: Received HTTP response code 500 : Error during parsing of SOAP header.
    Thanks

  • HTTPS authentication using SSL in SOAP Sender adapter

    Hi,
    We are currently doing a SOAP to RFC synchronous scenario in PI 7.0. Our client wants to ensure that the data security is maintained at the transport level. So, we have planned to implement the HTTPS without client authentication using SSL certificates. Our Basis team has promised us that they will take care of the cerficate generation and installation part in the server. Now i am confused at the PI communication channel setup level.
    1) Do i have to specify the certificate installed path in the channel or in any other object ? If so, where do i have to configure the path ?
    2) What is the exact path that has to be carried by a PI developer once the certificates are installed in the server ?
    I have attached my communnication channel screenshot below,
    http://i41.tinypic.com/mk49h.jpg
    Please let me know what i have to configure in the Sender SOAP channel to receive data securely once the certificates are installed in the system.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Sherin Jose P

    Hi,
    1.for transport level security you should assign the HTTPS connection created in SM59 to the SOAP communication channel.
    The HTTPS connection should use the certificates imported in t-code STRUST.

  • Another SOAP Sender adapter "com.sap.aii.af.mp.module.ModuleException" erro

    I am working on a synchronous scenario SOAP <-> XI <-> RFC.
    This worked fine, when I run it without SOAP adapter, direct via XI Pipeline.
    Now I want to use the SOAP sender adapter, but get the error as described below this post.
    As this is a real new XI installation, some patches or updates might be required to make it work. Or some adapter modules ?
    Any suggestions on how to solve this problem will be rewarded.
    What worries me a bit is the line "  " in the error description.
    Extra info: I use SoapSonar as a test webservice client. The error is the message as received in te test client.

  • How to re-use one SOAP Sender Channel for two different messages?

    Hi!
    I have an XI Proxy to SOAP Sync Scenario. 5 messages uses only 2 channels - cc_XI_Sender and cc_SOAP_Receiver. All messages comes from one Sender Channel and goes to one Receiver channel, and it works fine.
    When I make the same for SOAP to XI Proxy Sync Scenario, I've got a problem. For example I have 2 different messages (mi_so_MSG_ONE and mi_so_MSG_TWO), so it works, if I had a two different sender channels (cc_SOAP_R1 and cc_SOAP_R2).
    If I set the same Sender Channel in both Sender Agreements (cc_SOAP_R1), only one message (mi_so_MSG_ONE) goes without errors. When I send a second message (mi_so_MSG_TWO), in SXMB_MONI this message comes from Business System (BS_TEST) as message type one (mi_so_MSG_ONE), and then in stage of transformation in Interface Determination goes to message mapping program for other kind of messages (MM_MSG_ONE_to_XI_PROXY). And then - error in message mapping.
    I try many URLs for both messages:
    1) http://host:port/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?channel=:BS_TEST:cc_SOAP_R1&version=3.0&Sender.Service=&Interface=
    2) http://host:port/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?channel=:BS_TEST:cc_SOAP_R1&version=3.0&Sender.Service=BS_TEST&Interface=*
    3) http://host:port/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?channel=:BS_TEST:cc_SOAP_R1&version=3.0&Sender.Service=BS_TEST&Interface=...MyNameSpace...mi_so_MSG_TWO
    Message in payload:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes" ?>
    <!--  Inbound Message   -->
    <MSG_TWO xmlns="urn:xxx:yyy:MyNameSpace" xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">... some fields... </MSG_TWO>
    But in SOAP Header I see that is NOT second message!
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes" ?>

    Is it correct that many kinds of messages cannot goes through one Sender Channel ? If not... How can I reuse one SOAP Sender Channel for both this messages?
    Thanks for helping.

    Thanks for answers!
    It means a webservice application will be deployed and exposed in PI using the associated Message Interface and its namespace information in the SOAP Sender channel.
    It means only one Sender Channel per one pair of names (name of Message Interface and name of namespace). And it will fail if I change something. And question is: why URL for sending SOAP message contains parameter "Interface"?
    "backward compatibility" or "for future use only"?
    Nothing happens when I change this parameter, seems that name of Interface comes from first of founded Sender Agreements.
    If the structures are the same
    No. Structures are different.
    Making one structure per all SOAP incoming messages looks workable, but... looks strange (in fact I have a lot of SOAP messages, more than 100 Sender channels).
    I found an information, that I can use one Sender channel per many messages with different structures only if I make this messages like different Operations in one Service Interface (in PI 7.1).
    But in this case in list of messages in SXMB_MONI I will see only a one name of Service Interface for all my messages and it's not so comfortably for supporting: to take a name of operation that fails I need to goes inside.
    In older version of XI (prior 7.1) using one sender channel per many messages allowed without any hints.

  • SOAP sender adapter issue

    Hi,
    We are facing a peculiar issue when using SOAP sender adapter.It is a SOAP-XI-ECC scenario.
    We have created WSDL using propose URL. Edited the address location in WSDL and included QoS=ExactlyOnce.
    When we are testing from SOAPUI, it is making a asynchronous call, which is the requirement. But when the actual sender is sending the data using the same WSDL, it is making synchronous call. Any idea if Synchronous/Asyncronous decision/setiing is made at XI end or the portal end? And what is the solution?
    Thanks,
    Vishal

    Hi Shabarish,
    As mentioned in my query I have already tested it from SOAPUI and it is making asynchronous call.
    URL is:
    [http://server/sap/xi/engine?type=entry&version=3.0&Sender.Service=BusinessService&Interface=http://namespace^MI_product_oa&QualityOfService=ExactlyOnce]

  • Mapping SOAP Fault during synchronous SOAP call

    We are building a mediated service scenario where PI is brokering a synchronous SOAP call, without changing any of the information being sent or received (the mappings use the same source and target data types with no transformations).  When the service is successfully executed everything works as expected, but when the target service returns a SOAP fault, PI appears to be wrapping the fault in a separate fault before returning it to the client.  Why is this happening?  Is there a way to simply return the SOAP fault to the client without adding the additional wrapper?
    Here is the fault received from the target service when called directly:
    <soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:soapenc="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance">
       <soapenv:Header/>
       <soapenv:Body>
          <soapenv:Fault>
             <faultcode>Missing_Required_Data</faultcode>
             <faultstring>**Required data is invalid : Dealer Country**</faultstring>
          </soapenv:Fault>
       </soapenv:Body>
    </soapenv:Envelope>
    Here is the fault received from the mediated PI service call:
    <SOAP:Envelope xmlns:SOAP="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
       <SOAP:Body>
          <SOAP:Fault>
             <faultcode>SOAP:Server</faultcode>
             <faultstring>Server Error</faultstring>
             <detail>
                <s:SystemError xmlns:s="http://sap.com/xi/WebService/xi2.0">
                   <context>XIAdapter</context>
                   <code>ADAPTER.JAVA_EXCEPTION</code>
                   <text>com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: XIAdapterFramework:GENERAL:com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: SOAP: response message contains an error XIAdapter/PARSING/ADAPTER.SOAP_EXCEPTION - soap fault: **Required data is invalid : Dealer Country**
         at com.sap.aii.adapter.soap.ejb.XISOAPAdapterBean.process(XISOAPAdapterBean.java:1161)
         at sun.reflect.GeneratedMethodAccessor948.invoke(Unknown Source)
                </s:SystemError>
             </detail>
          </SOAP:Fault>
       </SOAP:Body>
    </SOAP:Envelope>
    Why aren't they the same?

    are diferents coz the first is a fault message and the second is a exception message.
    to send back the fault message define a fault message for both structure and map them in a new message mapping. later in the operation mapping or interface mapping  (depends of the pi version) under fault message or fault mappinng (i dont remember) tab assisg the fault message mapping.
    thats all you need.

  • Public URL for Synchronous SOAP to RFC scenario

    Hello  Everyone,
    I have synchronous SOAP to RFC scenario.
    i have created the http URL for testing environment through sender agreement.
    However, now the user wants a public URL and that too secured one ... means (  https  ) in production.
    i tried this blog, but Service registry is not configured in our landscape.
    http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/23725
    is there any other way ..?
    Regards,
    Ravi

    The process of creating the wsdl will remain same. The url in your case will start with HTTPS instead of HTTP. Note that the port at which HTTPS data would be received will be different than HTTP port and thererfore you need to change that as well. You don't have to set any client authentication unless there is a business requirement. You may simply use certificates for SSL.
    In some cases, if PI always receives data through web-dipatcher (ask your network team), then the data hostname and port of web-dispatcher should be used.

  • Synchronous SOAP invoked in XML Spy for testing but no reponse recieved

    Hello Experts,

I already setup my Message Interface as Outbound and Synchronous but when I'm testing it already in XML spy I only successfully sent the soap request and but got no response back. Also in SXMB_MONI I see my message being sent to SAP but it did not return any response. What have I possibly missed out during the setup. Hoping someone could help
