Syncing apps for itouch 2007 edition

I bought an app for my itouch (2007) and I don't even know how to view it in itunes. I know the transaction occurred because I checked my banking info. but if it weren't for that proof I would never know I even purchased the thing let alone be able to use it. HELP. How do i get it to my itouch?

Welcome to the discussions,
did you check if you meet the iphone OS requirements (>2.0) for using apps on the ipod?
Is your iTunes updated as well?

    Helpful for doing what?
Knowing what the weather is going to do?
    Walking the dog?
    ...eating cheese?
Seriously, what do you expect from anyone here when you post a question like that?
But since you ask, my favourite Apps (apart from the in-built ones) are:
aNote (Awesome Note), which - guess what - it's a note taker app.
BBC News - 'cos I like to keep up with the news, but I don't have a TV.
Lemonrock - gig listings in pubs etc. (This may well be a UK only App)
Accounts - keep a note of how much money I (don't) have.
Soundhound - for finding out what music is being played
Tesco - my local supermarket shopping list
You'll note that I've only listed six, not ten. Well, they're my helpful useful ones. You may not like any of them or may not be able to get them if you're not in the UK. Either way, what anyone else thinks is useful or helpful doesn't help you, does it?
My advice, and feel free to ignore it, is take your time deciding which Apps you want. Otherwise, you'll simply end up with lots of Apps you don't like and don't use. Decide what sort of App you think may be of use to you and then read the reviews on it and see if you can use those to decide if it's for you.

  • Cant sync apps onto Itouch, symbols are grey

When I downloaded apps from Itunes, I couldnt sync the apps into my itouch, the symbols are grey. Why and what can I do about it?  ( I recently upraded my Itouch to IOS 5.0.1,and I cant sync apps since then.)
the picture is somewhat vague, the black parts are the apps that I can use, the greys ones I cant use them, I cant find them on my Itouch either.
    Thanks for your help.

    - Do you have restrictions set that preven syncing the apps? (Settings>General>Restrictions)
    - Is the computer authorized for the account that purchased the app?
    - Is this the computer you last synced with?

  • Synced Apps from iTouch to PC - Apps gone from iTouch

I just purchased an iTouch for my wife and set up some basic apps for her before giving it to her. In iTunes, I synced the apps I purchased with my PC and the apps then disappeared from the iTouch. How do I get these apps back on the iTouch? I see them in the PC on the iTunes page...but see no way to get them back to iTouch.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Were all the apps purchased from the same iTunes account? From your description it sounds like different iTunes accounts are used. Have you tried authorizing the computer for the accounts?

  • Creative Cloud file sync app for iPhone

Is there an app for iPhone so files can be synced. Like the app for iPhone from Dropbox. If not, will this become available in the (near) future?

Actually Dropbox's is more like a "viewer": none of those files are stored on your phone. Terribly useful indeed.
Gogo Adobe, we expect to see the phone app _SOON_ ! And please make it also for Blackberry (said by an iPhone user)

  • Apps for iTouch on iPhone

    Hi,
I just bought a iPod Touch 8GB and got some apps for it via iTunes. I want to get a proper iPhone next year and wonder if iTunes will install apps I got for my iPod also on my iPhone. Usually it does differentiate profiles for each device it replicates with. Will apps be generally available for all profiles as music or videos are?
    Thanks.
    Reiner

Please can I double check. Sorry for the long, but I need to really verify.
I used to have a N95 and I upgraded to N96. With Symbian Developers. They license their games and apps on the device. So when I upgraded my N95 to N96, I had to contact all my games and Apps Developers to give me a new license code to make it work with the N96. So my N95 is now redundant.
With the iphone and itouch. Is it the same ? I currently have a itouch, I got loads of apps and games on there. If I buy a iphone, does the apps and games work on both without having to repurchase or obtaining a new license ? And what about if Apple decide to release another iphone after the 3GS. Would I have to license all my games and apps over to the new iphone ?
Or can I have both iphone and itouch working like they are identical with a single purchase ?
    Thanks
    An.

  • What is the best App for filing, viewing, editing excel?

I need help choosing the best app to work with excel for the ipad. I have mariner calc and am unhappy with it. It drops out quite a bit of formatting and you cannot file in folders. What is the best option?
    Thanks!

To Edit excel files the best app right now is currently Numbers, Numbers is severely limited in file organization and sharing right now. If all you need to do is look at excel files you have a couple options.
    Option 1 (Requires Connectivity):
Place the file on the web and view it in safari
    Option 2 (Offline use):
Use Goodreader to download and save your files, you can create folder Heiarchies and copy files from your computer using a sync cable from itunes, via email, or even through wifi.
If you can find something that combines the two options please let me know as I have been looking for solutions to this problem too. I wish apple had a shared folder space where apps could save files to be used in multiple programs much like they do with the photo albums

  • How to sync apps for ipone and not music, but keep music for classic

    Hey
I am getting the iphone 3G, 16gb, and I have an ipod classic 80gb. I want to keep everything I have on the classic the same; the music, videos, games. However, for the iphone I dont want to add the music of videos, just the apps.
Is there a way to do this? If so could yuo explain in detail, thank you.

As with your iPod when connected to iTunes, the iPhone has various tabs for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes. Your iPod and your iPhone can have different sync preferences.
If you don't want to transfer any music to your iPhone, don't select Sync Music under the Music tab for your iPhone sync preferences. If you don't want to sync any video to your iPhone, don't select sync Movies and TV Shows under your iPhone sync preferences.
Under the Applications tab for your iPhone sync preferences, you will select Sync Applications with the following options below.
All Applications to transfer all available applications to your iPhone, or choose Selected Applications followed by selecting the applications in the window below that you want transferred to your iPhone followed by a sync.

  • Syncing Apps on iTouch w/ 3.0 OS

I need to know if selecting iTunes to Sync Applications to my iPod Touch will erase the data. I just installed 3.0 and backed up my iPod, so all I need to know is if I were to select 'Sync Applications' under my iPod, would my app data (like game saves and settings be erased?

I've no idea, someone in the iTouch forums might. I have an iPod, not an iTouch.
The game stats are OK with new iTunes upgrades....but iTouch is a LOT different than a click wheel iPod.
My suggestion is to try it with ONE game/app and see what happens.
And post back here with results so to help other folks ; )

  • Do I use the iphone apps for itouch?

I don't see a listing for the itouch in the apps store. Should I use the iphone apps? I have a 4th generation itouch. This has been VERY confusing any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Yes, go to the iPhone tab. The description of each app in the app store say what devices they work on. Therefore, you have to check since not all iPhone apps work on the iPod.

  • How to sync audio for an already edited clip?

So while editing a particular interview, I first cut the original clip without the sound file, just the radio cut, taking out the ums, pauses, etc. But I totally forgot to sync my audio file with it first. Now, I'm trying to sync the audio to the interview, but when I syncronize the clips, it doesn't line up correctly, because it is the raw audio clip (with all the ums, pauses, etc.), and doesn't conform to the new radio cut of the interview. Is there anyway for FCPX to take the original audio clip, and conform it to an already edited clip? Moreover, is there a way to automatically chop up the original sound clip to conform to the new video clip?

You could try making the edited clip into a compound clip and synching that with the audio clip. Other than that ...

  • Isn't there a Facebook app for ITouch

My Facebook app was accidentally deleted off my ITouch.  When I went  to the Apple store to download it again, I was unable to do it as the Facebook app is only for the IPad and .  Can anyone help me to get Facebook back on my ITouch?

The is a universal Facebook app.  However, the present version requires iOS 4 or later.  I assume you have a 1G iPod since they can only go to iOS 3.1.3.
Your only choice is to see if you have an earlier version in a computer backup.

  • Battery app for iTouch

I have an iTouch on which I would like to install a battery monitoring app. However, every app that I have come across says that I can't download their app because I don't have an iPhone 3.0. I get that message even when the app describes itself as for either the iTouch or iPhone. Does anyone know of
a battery app that works around this problem?

Most never have an issue of any kind. This is a support forum, so you will see problems here - it is the reason for the forum - just as a hospital is full of sick people.
I have never had a problem nor has anyone I know.
If an app or app update requires 3.0, then you will not be able to use it with 2.0.

  • Deinstall Sync App for MacOS X

    Hello,
I subscribed today for Photoshop CC and Lightroom. As soon as I installed both apps the the Sync Tool was also installed. I don't want to have any sync tool installed and I don't want to use the cloud function. Is there any regular way to deinstall only the sync tool on mac os x but keep Photoshop and Lightroom.
    BR Mardor

    Hi Andre,
Are you testing against the Beta 2 version? This version does not support offline synchronization. You will need to wait until the final release when this capability will be enabled. The reason why this feature is not present is because you need to be using the forthcoming release of the Oracle Calendar desktop client on Mac to be able to synchronize with contacts and offline. Both of these releases wil be available with the Collaboration Suite Release 2.
    Thanks,
    Lily
