Syncing phone with itunes
Hi All
Em currently using Iphone 3GS and em facing a big trouble.
Whenever i Connect my phone to itnues to transfer songs,it tells to first erase and sync.
Everytime i need to erase and then again i need to fill songs.
Even connecting to same Computer multiple times,I face the same issue.
Please do help me out as this issue is bugging me up.

My guess is that you have the phone set to "Back up" every time you sync (and probably didn't on the old phone). Check out...

Hi I had similar issues with my GS. I was told to sync with the iCloud. However, since doing that my iphone keeps coming up with the message Activation Required and then immediately goes into recovery. It appears to do this every time I sync with the icloud : -( I would book a genius appointment. HTH :-)

I have a macbook pro, and am trying to update my software. I recently bought an iphone 5, and my software is to out of date to sync my phone with itunes. I currently am running 10.5.8 and I need to update to atleast 10.6.8. Just wondering if I need to purchase it from apple or if there is an easy/free way to update it.

I just got tOhe iPhone 4Gs today and had contacts and photos uploaded from another phone synced new phone with iTunes for music and accidentally restored it so all my old iPhone stuff is on the new one is there any way to fix this ?! Please help !!!!

im not sure why only a few of my contacts have been synced and not everyone? How do i sync all contacts from my iphone to my ipad? I have synced my phone with Itunes on my laptop.
It's a good idea to backup your Mac Address Book application and iCal Calendars application from each application. This way you can go back and pull out items if you lose something. I do this everyday.

I got a replacement Iphone5 from Apple. I went home and tried to synced it with ITunes but said to register as a new device to do update then I can restore old back up, now can't back up old phone info and can't activate my Apple ID for iMessage
Can you clarify your problem? Are you having trouble restoring your new iPhone from a previous phone's backup? Or are you having trouble logging into iMessage?

whenever I try to sync my phone with itunes, it prompt with a window saying that this computer is not authorised. Although I again authorise my computer through store option but again while sync it shows the same window. I have reinstaled itunes also but invain. I am unable to sort it out pl help

i bought an iphone 5 second hand and was told all i had to do was sync it with itunes i did all that but previous owner hasn't removed the device from their account, i am unable to contact them..can anyone tell how i can start using my phone pls

I have an iPhone and sync it with iTunes. Just got my wife an iPhone also. Is it possible to have 2 accounts in iTunes 1 for my wife and 1 for myself? I don't want to mess up things like contacts on either phone.
The best is to create another Windows user profile(additional User Account) where each one of you can manage your own account, library, playlist Apps, Contacts etc,

I've created various playlists on my iphone5. Everytime I sync my phone with itunes on my PC I lose these playlist. Any ideas on how to stop this happening? I've tried various methods but the sync always results in the playlists which I've set-up on itunes on my PC over-writing my mobile created playlists. Having just purchased an iphone 5s I want to ensure that my iphone playlists transfer over ok to my new phone.

when i have synced my phone with itunes there are old songs that i dont want. these songs always have the sync sign next to them but i dont know how to get rid of them, i have event deleted them from my library, my computer and hidden them on i cloud. help please
Settings/ Music/ Show All Music/ OFF
There is a parallel setting in Settings/ Videos/ which also includes Videos in the cloud, as well as Settings/ iTunes & App Store/ where you can set both Music and Video preferences. But you only need to change a setting in one location. -

Are you using the original cable that came with Nano and not your iPhone's cable? Have you worked through the troubleshooting in this Apple support document?

IPhone not syncing properly with iTunes 10.5
Hi,
I recently updated my iPhone 4 to the iOS 5 and also updated my iTunes to 10.5. A few days later I got an error message on my iTunes which said that the library was damaged, it would create and new one and save the 'old' one has "iTunes Library (Damaged)". Shortly after I synced my phone with iTunes and it removed many of my apps and all my playlists and music. I've re-downloaded all my apps, though any pictures, settings, etc saved within them have disappeared. I cleared the music on my phone and re-synced it. Any playlists which were re-synced only actually synced recently added songs (i.e. if a playlist had 20 songs and I added 3 more only those 3 would show up on my phone).
I think all my data, apps, etc are still on the phone but iTunes isn't recognising it; any ideas of how to get iTunes to recognise it?

If it helps or makes a difference, I'm using Windows Vista.Same thing (?) is happening with my iPhone4. Syncing wirelessly doesn't work at all, and when I connect it to my Mac, sync gets stuck on 'Syncing Genius Data to _____' and under that it says "waiting for items to copy". This is also the case with my iPod Touch 4th gen. Both are on iOS5 and I have the latest iTunes. So I just backup both of them, and then choose the sync button on bottom right of iTunes in the device window. Don't know if it's actually doing anything.

Hello Sean,
It sounds like you are constantly needing to restore your phone because it keeps going into recovery mode. Usually putting a device into recovery mode and restoring it can help isolate an issue to your iPhone hardware if an issue persists afterwards. I would try manually putting it into recovery mode and restoring it 1 more time:
