System login details capture

Hi All,
I have a requirement in ApEx where in I need to restrict the number of times a particular survey is answered. I know that the IP address can be found, but again this is not enough.(As multiple users use the same system due to shifts based operation). Is there a way to find out what is the username given during system start up in ApeX?
Thanks in advance
Jay

Hi
I don't think you can do that, except if you use some kind of ActiveX control or VBScript, which will work only with IE (I am assuming that by "system" you mean MS Windows).
Is your Apex application public (i.e. the users do not have to log in to use it)? Maybe you could change that so that users need to login using windows username/password to access it...

  • Get system no from login details

    Hi All,
    Is there any way to get system no from the login details.
    Thank you,
    Gopi.S

    Hi Suhas,
    When you are configuring a server on your e.g. logon pad, you are asked for the server IP, system ID and system number which is the SAP Instance Number and I am supposring thats what Gopi is looking for.
    The function returns that value.

  • To get login details of portal into webdynpro application

    Hi All,
             How to get the portal login details(user name) into my webdynpro application.
    Thank you,
    Harsha P.

    Hi,
    If you want to have portal login details from backend system (with ABAP) you should ask this question in some portal forum and ask if it is possible. This has nothing to do with workflow or UWL. Even if you get the portal user ID to the backend system, then what? Do you want to manipulate the portal roles etc. from your ABAP WD application? Then you will have even more complicated requirements to achieve with ABAP. It is not that straightforward to call different portal functionalities from backend system. You might need to do some "portal development". And eventually your ABAP WD application might come just an unnecessary wrapper component for calling some web services or whatever in portal.

  • Asking for login details jumping from BW  to SS report at Portal site

    Hi Guys
    Our BW reports are avilable from protal for user's.
    Now the issue we are facing is when we jump from BW report to source system(SRM) report, it is aksing for login details for source system. where as at portal site it should not ask for login deatils. And we are facing this issue only in QA system and not PRD system.
    M not sure where things are going wrong. I have checked SSO. nothing seems to be wrong here also.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Rohini

    Hi Rohini,
    I may not be correct. But does the user id which you are using (both in QA & Prod) have same settings for User-Type (<i>SU01 -> Logon Data -> User Type</i>). ?
    Also u can check the RFC Settings (SM59).
    Hope it would help..

  • Operating System Login Credentials

    I have setup an Oracle 11g Database and have a question about backing up the database. Currently, I have logged into the database via Enterprise Manager. I have browsed to the Availability->Backup settings and I see that at the bottom of the page I need to supply Operating System Login Credentials.
    Do I need to create these credentials? If so, can I have a little help to do this, or if not, how to I retrieve these details?

    I have added the 'log in as batch job' priviledge to the Administrator user.
    I have then setup a password for the Administrator.
    I then try and log into Oracle via the Enterprise Manager with the Administrator user details, but get the "Your username and/or password are invalid." error.When you "log into Oracle via the Enterprise Manager" you are logging into the database itself. You need to use a valid database account and password. You originally asked about being prompted for host credentials once you were logged in to Enterprise Manager and wanted to execute certain functions. That's not the same thing.
    To initially log in to EM, you supply database account credentials. If a function within EM needs to interface directly with the OS, it will need host (OS) account credentials.

  • User login details

    dear All,
    i want to check my store-4 users login details in sap, from last years, can you please help me to resolve the same.
    regards,
    jitendra.

    hi jitendra,
    You can use the User Information System (T-code SUIM) to obtain an overview of the authorizations and users in your SAP system
    at any time using search criteria that you define. In particular, you can display lists of users to whom authorizations classified as
    critical are assigned.

  • In which infotype the employee login details are stored

    Hi experts,
    In which infotype the employee login details are stored.
    pls help me.
    Thanku,
    Ramkhe.

    For that you need to install the BC (Basis) component in addition to the HR system.
    I think there is an additional license charge for this "add on" though...
    But you must have a database - though it does not have to be started for the employee to have their logon details.

  • Accessing portal login details in R3

    Hi ,
       I have the following situation . I have to give the customer , access to the data which is corresponding to his account only . The customer logs into the portal and will access the data through a transaction iview from the R3 screen . The R3 screen appears immediately after the customer login . This is basically a query screen where he will enter some query parameters and submit the same to R3 system which will fetch the result based on the query .Now how do I pass the login details of the customer to R3 as and when the customer logs into the portal .The R3 system should know immediately after the login that it has to display the data related to this cutomer account only and not of other customers , after the customer runs the query ? Please advice .
    Regards
    Deepak Singh

    Hi Deepak
    frst of all which login method u use UIDPW or SAPLOGONTICKET to login into R3 From portal.
    if SAPLOGONTICKET than portal and R3 User is same.
    if UIDPW than make sure that u mapped portal user to coressponding R3 User.
    now about user data it's all upon that Role attached to that user in R3 system.
    means u restricte the user to view other user data in R3 with authorization will same affect in Portal.

     I create a external list that uses the ExternalContentType.
     When I try open the external list from browser by User "TestUser" . I get the following error "Message from External System : 'Login failed for user 'NT AUTHORITY\IUSR'.'"
       My Question :
           I need to know why pass the credential "NT AUTHORITY\IUSR" to connect to the data base not the
            current log in"TestUser" ?  How Can I solve it ?

    Hi,
    did you configure Kerberos delegation?
    NTLM fails when you try to open external list from client computer, because SharePoint cannot pass user's identity - "Double Hop" issue.
    Take a look at confguring Kerberos for SharePoint 2010 white paper
    Download Configuring Kerberos Authentication for Microsoft SharePoint 2010 Products from Official Microsoft Download Center

  • Info of Last login details of Users

    Hi
    I want to information of last login details of users using MAXL cmd....
    is there any such cmd in Maxl which will give out put of users last login..... if so can u any one help me in this
    Thanks
    SSS

    This is just one of several areas where MaxL fails to live up to its potential to completely replace Esscmd. Development of MaxL seems to have essentially stagnated after the inclusion of MDX. We still run a handful of Esscmd scripts (such as GetUserInfo so we too can get last login) simply because MaxL does NOT have a substitute for everything Esscmd offers.
    The prevailing response I always see is "well, gee, you can always write a Java API program to do ...." which is a fine response for a developer, but kind of weak for those whose primary responsibility is database administration with the occasional script thrown in for good measure. The complexity of System 9 and later releases is now making it virtually mandatory to learn and use Java to accomplish anything. Perhaps I am just pining for the good old days, but making simple things harder than they were before strikes me as a step backwards.
    Oh well, enough ranting. Time to make the cubes sing once more.

  • Script not recording login details

    When I am recording the script, the login details i.e., username, password details are not captured in script, The application is developed in ADF. do I need to change any recording settings.

    I have yet to test an ADF application using oats, however... I know there's a special type of test wizard selection you have to make when creating your script. Did you choose "Oracle Fusion/ADF" as the template for your test when you created your script? Or did you use the generic "Web" template?

  • Displaying last successful login details of user

    Hi,
    I want to display last successful login details (timestamp may be) on Portal homepage.
    By configuration
    Is there any configuration that we can do to display it on Masthead area may be?
    By code
    I found following two links that talk about direct access of Portal table.
    http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/Snippets/DirectAccesstoDatabaseTables
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/48/6aa9429b930b31e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm
    In this case, what query should I write to get the last login details of user?
    Please help.
    Thanks and regards,
    Amey

    Hi Ameya,
    Thanks for reply.
    1. I was wondering if there is any System admin level configuration we can do to show this info?.
    Is there any such facility?
    2. Through code, this is what I did: -
    I am getting the last logon timestamp by following code (inside JSPDynpage) : -
    import java.sql.Connection;
    import java.sql.ResultSet;
    import java.sql.Statement;
    import java.sql.Timestamp;
    import javax.naming.InitialContext;
    Connection con=null;
    Statement stmt=null;
    ResultSet rs=null;
    InitialContext ctx = new InitialContext();
    DataSource ds = (DataSource)ctx.lookup("jdbc/SAP/EP_PCD");
    con = ds.getConnection();
    stmt = con.createStatement();
    String connectedUser = _request.getUser().getUniqueName();
    rs = stmt.executeQuery("select MAX(TIMESTAMPHOUR) from WCR_USERSTAT where LOGONID='"+connectedUser+"'");
    int m = 0;
    while(rs.next()){
         m++;
           Timestamp ts = new Timestamp(rs.getLong(m));
         lastLoginString = ts.toGMTString();
    I guess selecting 'MAX' value of time-stamp would return the latest logon time.

  • Fixed language in docs independently of user language system login

    Hi all
    I'm not sure this is possible:
    I would like to configure the system so that it guarantees that all documents/reports/maps or any other texts are shown or printed in ES language independently of the user language system login.
    All texts will be translated to ES language. But I want to assure, that if user enters in any other language, the texts remain in ES...
    Is this possible?
    Thanks in advance

    Hello Eric,
    the BSP Forum would be the better place to post this message, I suppose.
    The list of languages in the system/login.htm comes from the list of languages which are customized for your SAP Web AS.
    That means if you want to have french you should customize your SAP Web AS for French.
    Please check out the SAP docu for further details how to do this.

  • Create a supplier - How to get login details

    Hi,
    I need to create  a test supplier in E-sourcing system.Can someone explain the steps to create supplier in E-sourcing.
    Also after creating the vendor in the system,how do I get the login details for that vendor user?Does system send a notificatione mail ?
    Thanks .

    Hi
    Please go to Tab Supplier Management -> Create Supplier
    Create a Primary contact for that supplier
    While creating select if you want to create a Preliminary or a Purchasing hold or Approved supplier
    There is a tab called security, here you assign the role to the supplier and there is a check box called send notification
    The System will send a mail to the supplier contact email ID that you have maintained in the email address for this supplier.
    Incase you are doing it on your test system for an SMTP, check that mailbox.
    If this is for realtime, then the vendor will get the email with the URL. Username and Password
