T-code: RSCRM_REPORT to see MDX statement

Hi All,
When you go to T-code: RSCRM_BAPI or RSCRM_REPORT, and when you select a query and in the menu bar you will see "display MDX statement."
For some reason I cannot see any statement when I do that. Can anyboby tell me how to solve this or is there a way to find MDX Statements ( I know about MDXTEST, RSFLAT, RSCRMMDX)
Thanks

    > The ones in 'RED' color are the statement which are taking a lot of time and you need to
    > optimise the same.
No, that is incorrect, the red ones show only the ones which need several hundret milliseconds in one execution. This can even be correct for hard tasks. And there are lots of problem, which you will not see
    I have said everything here:
    SQL trace:
    /people/siegfried.boes/blog/2007/09/05/the-sql-trace-st05-150-quick-and-easy
Go to 'Tracelist' -> Summarize by SQL statements', this is the view which you want to see!
I summarizes all executions of the same statement.
There are even the checks explained, the slow ones are the one which need a lot of time per record!
    See MinTime/Rec > 10.000 microseconds.
Check all number of records, executions, buffer, identicals.
The SE30 Tipps and Tricks will not help much.

  • PL/SQL Code not working without debug statements

    Hi Guys,
I have a pl/sql code in a procedure, logic iterates through almost 40K records, conditional delete and update.
When I execute this code, I dont see the deletes and updates happening, though procedure executes for 8 minutes and exits wihtout any error, execption.
In same procedure when I write some debug statements like dbms_output, then everything seems to be working fine.
I know this scenario happens in Oracle Forms, wehre we use SYNCHRONIZE.
But this is plain pl/sql procedure.
    any thoughts on this?
    Av.

    COMMIT ?
Aside from that, no idea what your procedure looks like, what it does, what version of Oracle you are using, how you are determining "I dont see the deletes and updates happening". etc...
You'd need to provide a slew of information for anyone to give you any meaningful help.
I can only assure you that DBMS_OUTPUT doesn't do magic :)

[ServletException in:/jsp/DLG_PTEN.jsp] Unable to compile class for JSP C:\Documents and Settings\ebsgam\My Documents\IBM\wsappdev51\workspace\StnWeb\.metadata\.plugins\com.ibm.etools.server.core\tmp0\cache\localhost\server1\DefaultEAR\StnWeb.war\jsp\_DLG_5F_PTEN.java:13576: code too large for try statement } catch (Throwable t) { ^ C:\Documents and Settings\ebsgam\My Documents\IBM\wsappdev51\workspace\StnWeb\.metadata\.plugins\com.ibm.etools.server.core\tmp0\cache\localhost\server1\DefaultEAR\StnWeb.war\jsp\_DLG_5F_PTEN.java:1165: code too large for try statement try { ^ 2 errors '
I am currently running this on Websphere Aplication Developer 5. First off I'm hoping that this error will go away when it is deployed to tomcat. But I wanted to see if anyone has had this problem and knows of a tweek or work around for it.
The jsp in question is not the longest one I have... but it has a large number of drop down list boxes .. using jstl <select><option>. and the drop downs have around 40 or 50 items in them.

in weblogic 8.1, i've met the same error, and solved the problem by adding param to weblogic.xml , like below:
      <jsp-descriptor>
         <jsp-param>
              <param-name>noTryBlocks</param-name>
              <param-value>true</param-value>
         </jsp-param>

  • Code too large for try statement - help :(

    Please help :(
We are migrating our project from an older technology, Kiva from netscape
(and about time we migrate) . Kiva uses template evaluation similar to
jakarta velocity. So the fastest way we found was to translate kiva
templates to JSPs via perl script. All is working fine except a bunch of
JSPs which are too large for the compiler to handle. If we were not
migrating and instead wroking from scratch we would have simply made the
JSP's size smaller and used jsp:include, but in this case it will involve a
lot of effort as that means changing a lot of business code.
Basically what we get is "code too large for try statement". Is there anyway
we can tell weblogic to put smaller code fragments in try/catch when it
converts a JSP into java code.

              Haider,
Have you seen the following Sun Bug Parade posting
              http://developer.java.sun.com/developer/bugParade/bugs/4210912.html
Additionally, you may want to try the '-noTryBlocks' jsp compiler switch and see
              if it makes a difference

  • How to Generate a MDX statement using a BEX query

    Hello,
Is there any possiblity in BW to generate a MDX statement using a BEx query?
    Thanks,
    Ravi

BW does not generate any MDX statement for Bex query.I have tried ample number of times to acheive this but failed.
Like an Infocube the Query is also an object where in you can write MDX queries on BEx Queries.
As it is I never found BW rendering MDX queries. But with MDX queries you can get something but how far it helps I don't know.
RSCRM_BAPI is obsolete and it is recommended to use RSCRM_REPORT somewhere I have read ,but when I went to that transaction I never found that "MDX" button at all.
It was converted to "OLAP Check" which gave me some warning on the key figures and that's it.
Somehow I feel BW is not comfortable with MDX.

  • SAP MDX statement size limit ???

    Hi all,
we are developing complex stuff with MDX and now the question comes up, if there is any limit in the MDX statement size in SAP Abap world. The main handler classes are CL_RSR_MDX_COMMAND, CL_RSR_MDX_OLAP_REQUEST does anyone here know if there is a limit in the MDX statement size ???
    Thx a lot !

Not sure on the MDX but from a OLAP statement point of view - a straight SQL against an Oracle tablehas a limit of 32k and in unicode 64k
I am seeing some interesting scenarios when SQLs are fired through the application and not direct..
A select with multiple in clauses will first try and do a between on the SIDs - if that fails it will build an in clause..
On the phsical level the SQL is partitioned up and fired mutliple times (obviously to get aroudn the 32k/64k limit)
However in a virtual cube scenario - a function module can only call 200-250 (hard coded!) statements on an in clause - you can override this but risk a database error on too long a SQL statement..
THis may or may not help.. but it's all background

  • How can I get  the MDX-statement which is generated in a query?

Can I somehow get the MDX statement, which is generated when I create a Query via BeX Query Designer? I am using JCo to connect to BW (3.0b) and to execute MDX statements from a standalone JAVA-application. It would be very helpful to have the statements, so that I don't have to create them by myself.
If this it not possible...is there any reference regarding the MDX statements, I could use?

    Hi Markus,
The Query Designer generates no MDX, so you can't find any persisted MDX Statements. But you can do a trick, you can use the SAP BW OLE DB Provider in Excel. This Tool generates MDX Statements check this link:

    I hope this helps.

  • 500 Internal Server Error OracleJSP: code too large for try statement catch

We have an application which uses JSPs as front end and we are using Struts 1.1. When we run one of the JSP it shows the following error after executing .We are using OCJ4 server having version 9.0.4.0
    500 Internal Server Error

The JSP/application runs okay on one machine (System Tesing machine)with OCJ4 server having version10.1.2.0 but throughs an error on other machine( Development machine)with OCJ4 server having version9.0.4.0.The question is why it is running on one machine ane giving error on other machine I am aware that there can't be more than 64kB of code between try-catch block .Total size of the generated JSP class in our case is 577KB.
Is the problem because of different version of Application server OC4J?.Is it any fix for this? Or Can anyone please suggest a work around. Or is there a method by which the JSP generated code is split between different try - catch blocks rather than a single try-catch block.Utlimately We don't know the whether is it a problem with JVM or hardware .
It would be really helpful if you would provide me with some suggestion and input.
    Regards
    Shyam

    Sir,
I am aware of the limitations of JVM that it won't allow java code more than 64Kb in method but we are using different versions of Application server .Application is working okay with OC4J application server(10.1.2.0) but gives error on Application server with version 9.0.4.0. Is this a problem with OC4J application server 9.0.4.0. I had gone through the documentation ofOC4J 9.0.4.0.application server but it does not mention about the this bug/fixes.
Please giude me on the same.

  • "Syntax error in the MDX statement " in Process chain failure??Urgent pls

    Hi Experts,
could any one suggest me the procedure to rectify the below problems in process chain?
1."Syntax error in the MDX statement "
2."Error when getting data (Error when getting data (AXI))"
    Rgds,
    BH

In which case it'll be that Access has a different date format to MySQL, and you're trying to push the string "'25-Apr-12 10:55 PM" into Access, which it's not understanding. To get around this, you need to treat your variable as a true date/time object, rather than a formatted string.
CFQueryParams should be used on absolutely every database platform, they'll stop your website being vulnerable to SQL Injection attacks for one, which at the moment you're wide open to. Replace your query with something like this:
    <cfquery name="input_comments" datasource="#DSN#" username="#DSNUSER#" password="#DSNPASS#">
          INSERT INTO comments(
                             commenter,
                             comment,
                             datetime,
                             post_id
                   VALUES(
                             <cfqueryparam cfsqltype="cf_sql_varchar" value="#form.commenter#" />,
                             <cfqueryparam cfsqltype="cf_sql_varchar" value="#form.comment#" />,
                             now(),
                             <cfqueryparam cfsqltype="cf_sql_numeric" value="#form.post_id#" /> )
    </cfquery>
The QueryParams will handle the data types for you, and should pass values around more safely and with fewer issues. Assuming you just want to store the current date and time you don't even need to get ColdFusion involved, as databases have their own functions for this. I believe Access' version is simply NOW(), so I've put that in your query.
    Give the above a go.

  • Error in jsp:Code too large for try statement

    Hi friends,
When i try to run a jsp program i am getting error "code too large for try statement". How can i rectify it rather than truncating that jsp? is there another way?
                                                  Basha

    Basha,
When we were implenting an e-form component which was very big, the only way we were able to achieve it was by
"jsp includes". In the main form simply included muliple
jsp pages, where each was a section of the e-form.
we have not found any other better way.
    Hope this helps.

When running the query, I get the "Failed to parse the query to detect if it is mdx or dmx".
THe qqy=uery is basic enough, but for the life of me can't figure out what is wrong????
Any suggestions woud be greatly appreciated!!
    Thanks
    A. M. Robinson

I literally have the exact same query running in a different report and it runs fine.
Also, your FILTER is in a SET statement - mine is not. That is the major difference between my query and yours.
    SELECT
    [Measures].[Employee Hours],
    [Measures].[Employee Hours %]
    } ON COLUMNS,
    NON EMPTY CROSSJOIN(
    [Selected Departments],
    [Employee].[Employee Bill Rate].[Employee Bill Rate].ALLMEMBERS,
    [Employee].[Employee Level].[Employee Level].ALLMEMBERS,
    [TTM]) ,
    FILTER ([Employee].[Manager Name].[Manager Name].Members ,
    NOT InStr([Employee].[Manager Name].CurrentMember.MEMBER_NAME, "O-Tern"))
If I remove the filter statement from this query and run it WITH the same parameters it runs fine - and has been running fine for literally over a year. The introduction of this FILTER statement is causing an issue.
So either the filter is in the wrong place or it's not formed properly.
I can provide a couple of examples of queries that are the ecact same with parameters and run fine, and when a FILTER is introduced they still run fine.
