T61p - buggy Audio and Mouse

I have a Lenovo T61p, witch have a Nvidia Quadro FX 570M.
The problem is as follows, the mouse cursor and audio gets buggy, when i install nvidia screen card drivers. this happens on the following OS`s, Windows Vista 32 and 64bit, Windows 7 64Bit, all Ultimate editions. as long as I use windows own drivers, its all fine, once Nvida drivers are install, the cursor and audio gets buggy.
strange ting is when I install Windows XP (32 Bit) or Ubuntu (both 32/64 bit) the buggy audio/mousecursor is not a problem.
the Computer has been like this since it was new, but got Win XP for it at once, but now i want Windows 7.
have been in contact with Nvidia and they say I should contact Lenovo.
anyone knows what to do?

To be exact about the problem, when windows starts you hear the audio "stutter", and all system audio beeps are stuttering, when playing an MP3 the same thing happens in all OS`es exept Win XP and Ubuntu.
you can also see the mouse cursor "stuttering" when moving it.
have been in contact with Nvidia support when as this happens after installing videocard drivers. their reply was as followes:

Lenovo notebook graphics cards and drivers are shipped and supported by Lenovo, not by NVIDIA, but I will try to help you anyway even though you may still need to contact Lenovo.
Since your system is OK with Windows XP x32 or Ubuntu, your hardware is likely OK and you have driver problems. Please contact Lenovo so they can reproduce these problems and work with NVIDIA to fix the problems. Then Lenovo can ship the fixes in a future Lenovo driver release.

Keyboard and mouse don't work at all in 1 on 2 times!

When my computer has already been started up once and I start it up again, then the PS2 keyboard and mouse will not work, but only 1 on 2 times precisely! So one time the keyboard and mouse are working, the other time keyboard and mouse are not working. The rest works fine. Quite mysterious isn't it? Who has a solution to this?
If the power has been totally off and I put it back on again, then keyboard and mouse work properly.
I have looked into the BIOS, Integrated Peripherals for something like PS/2, I couldn't find it, I have put out several things in the BIOS, but it didn't work.
Now follows a list of everything I see when I am into the BIOS with the standard settings for integrated peripherals.
Could it help to put items on and off here?

I couldn't find a possibility for a hardware reset in the BIOS. It should be in PnP/PCI. Does anybody know about these things?

SWF audio and video out of sync

I'm trying to output a swf video (talking head). Originally I
tried importing a wmv file but when I created the swf the audio and

Yeah, full motion capture is a bit of an equine of a
different hue. It's literally like turning on a camcorder and
recording what you see. And as you have seen, you can't really edit
things after the fact. Well, to a certain extent you can, but it's
more like using a cheese slicer to trim off bits of the beginning
and end or maybe the middle. And you can splice things together.
But it's nothing like the screen capture mode and editing you can
do that way.
So I suppose we need more information on exactly how things
are working on your vmware setup. You say that Print Screen doesn't
work there? I'm guessing there is maybe a conflict with the key.
Have you tried assigning a different key? Or possibly just try
clicking the mouse when you see the splash screen. Usually a mouse
click will trigger a screen capture.
Or are you maybe running Captivate on the remote machine and
attempting to capture while driving things remotely? If so, I'm
unsure if that would even work. But thought I'd ask.

SCCM 2012 Client and Workstation Audio and Video Problems

SCCM 2012 SP1 environment.
We have pushed out the SCCM Client successfully to our systems - however we have found that on some computers the SCCM Client is causing an audio/video problem - specifically it appears to be with computers that connect monitors via DVI. As an example,
on my laptop (Dell e6420, Win7 x64) I have a docking station that connects my laptop to 2 external monitors. With the SCCM Client installed I cannot listen to music or watch videos - the result is an unusable choppiness/stuttering listening to music
and with a video the audio and video get out of sync. As well, my mouse no longer functions smoothly - it jumps around. This happens whether accessing content from a website or simply a local file on my computer. If I uninstall the SCCM client,
the issue goes away entirely. I have tried disabling the SMS and Remote control services but doing so does not resolve the issue, only a client uninstall. Note that this only happens when the laptop is on the docking station - with DVI - it doesn't
happen when the laptop is running without an external monitor or if plugged into an HDMI output device.
At first we believed this was limited to this model of laptop in our environment (Win8 or Win7 - both result in the same problem), but now we are hearing about "audio and video issues" on Dell 990 workstations as well. I believe these stations
have DVI connected monitors. Driver updates do not appear to resolve the issue.
Has anyone experienced this in their environment? Note that this happens on imaged workstations and workstations installed from a vanilla Windows 7 or 8 CD.

Try installing the client without Silverlight and see if it helps (this is only used for the Application Catalog).

Keyboard: audio and Brightness control keys not working with or without fn

The Keys for controling Audio and Brightness (F1-F5) do not work.
Also combined with pressing the "fn" key the keys do not work.
So i only control audio with the remote control or the slider in the menubar.
Making a reboot with deleting pram didn't help.
I'm running the up to date version of leopard on a macbook pro (core2duo).
I also searched in the forum for this problem.
I oten read about "sytem control"-"keyboard and mouse"-"keyboard" and the F1, F2, etc. to use as...
but switching this button on or off doesn't change anything.

problem solved:
the couse was the software update 1.1 for macbook pro, because there i had the problem like in this thread: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=6142512&#6142512
and did the solution like that, but there i maybe made some mistakes with renaming and copying, so i rinstalled the update and renamed it a copied to plugins, and now all works as it should.

Keyboard and mouse events during screen sharing

I use OS X 10.6.8, my mom has 10.5.(8?).
Screen sharing used to work fine. I am always viewing her screen.
Lately, none of my keyboard presses or mouse clicks make it through the connection to her machine. I can 'influence' but not really control the placement of her cursor as viewed on my screen. She never sees the pointer move from wherever it was before I started trying to move it. I can see her screen fine, and even see some frame rate if she plays a video from an email message (but I don't get the audio stream). We can't continue talking while the video is playing though because our voice connection has too many dropouts.
She did change from using Comcast to using AT&T Uverse several months ago. I can't remember exactly when the troubles started, but it could have been at the time of that switch. She is getting a lower speed connection than she used to.
Are these issues strictly a problem of a too-slow connection, or is there something else to try. I'm most concerned about the keyboard and mouse loss, since that means I have to describe every action to her instead of doing anything myself. I can live without viewing videos over a screen sharing link...

It is worth doing Speed check at both ends

It may also pay to open the Connection Doctor (Video Menu) during a Audio or Video chat and checking the Bit rate and Framerate (on Video).
iChat in 1-1 Video needs "Real World" speed of 256kbps (it will manage according to Apple at 128kbps).
This Min of 128kbps is the min for Screen Sharing as well.
The Connection Doctor will show you what iChat is using (your Bit rate) NOT what the Internet Speed is measured at.
It will be closer to the Upload Speed you have.
iChat will tend to settle closer to the slower speed of whichever Buddy has the slowest Upload (plus a margin for variances in the ISP's feed/service)
If the variances in the Internet Speed from the ISP varies too much then iChat will have difficulties.
It will drop Audio (As far as you as concerned) as it will start dropping frames to smooth the video out.
For this reason it can pay to go to iChat > Preferences > Video Section and try the Bandwidth Limit at 500kbps (If for instance you have a 10Mbps Upload a 5% variance can be a whole 500kbps)
With both ends at 500kbps you can be below the Variance factor.
Try 200kbps if there still appear to be problems.
NOTE:-
iChat's responses are determined by the Internet Speed (Or at least the portion that computer is getting = Bandwidth) and what else the computer is doing.
Depending on the Mac and it's Processor and the apps running at the time iChat may not get a decent use of the Processor. (It is set to use it "last" a it were so Downloading, Playing Video elsewhere, or setting background tasks (Anit Virus scans, iMovie Rendering) may impinge on free Processor cycles).
Try to eliminate as much as possible.

Adobe Captivate 6 Demonstration Mode - Splitting Audio and Video

Hi, I have just recorded a conference call using the software demonstration mode. There was a little bit of discussion at the beginning that I wanted to edit out, so I opened edit audio and used the insert silence at the beginning. This deleted the 10 seconds of the audio but not the video and now the recording is off. How do I get these to match up? I tried adding time to the beginning of the audio in the edit mode, but that did not help. I apprecaite any help!

Have you recording the demonstration in -- Automatic--Demo mode in Cp?
If that is the case it would have captured screen based upon keystores and mouse clicks. You can check your film strip and manually delete the irrelevant slides.
Regarding the audio, you could have selected the piece of audio you wished to remove and "deleted" that.

Keyboard and Mouse Not Functioning

Hello folks,
I have a T60. Once Windows loads up, the internal keyboard and mouse do not function. They function before Windows loads (in Bios config, etc.) and the keys to turn on the spotlight work. An external USB keyboard and mouse work perfectly.
As far as I know, this is completely random. It's driving me crazy.
Any help would be appreciated.

did the advice in the other thread you posted in yesterday not help? There is a link to a possible solution in another thread here. You need to feed the boards with information; especially what you've tried, but didn't work - members get hungry
What happens in safe mode? Does the keyboard et al work as expected? Have you tried deinstalling them in safe mode through device manager and then restarting?

Dissolve that applies to audio and video

How do I drag a dissolve that will apply to video as well as audio rather than having to drag a dissolve onto audio then a separate one onto the audio tracks? Sorry - SO basic!

Hold the command key down and mouse click on the transition points of the video and audio:

Once highlighted, control click on any of the selected cut points and select Add Transition "Cross Dissolve" from the drop down menu.

T61p, Word 2013 and blinking cursor

I have been running Windows 7 Ultimate and Office 2010 Pro Plus on my T61p 6457 and all was working well, until I uninstalled Office 2010, and installed Office 2013 Pro Plus, and ran Lenovo System Update to check all the latest drivers were installed.
When I open up Word 2013 - the cursor continuously blinks - I checked setting under control panel/keyboard properties and mouse driver (16.0.2).
How do I remove the blinking cursor please?

We're seeing the exact same thing on pretty much all our Office 2013 upgraded customer environments.
We are a large hosted desktop provider, using mostly Citrix. However, tests revealed that this is also showing when just connecting through RDP, which pretty much rules out Citrix as a culprit.
All these environments use VMware as Hypervisor for the Citrix servers, but all are a different version and/or patchlevel, ranging from ESX4.1 all the way to ESX5.5.
At the moment we haven't upgraded to SP1. As mentioned earlier it did not help. We're planning to upgrade anyway, just to double check if the problem is fixed with any of the undocumented fixes that are coming with the SP1 upgrade.
In terms of end-users i'd say that we have approximately 2500 users affected by this issue.
A call will be placed with Microsoft Tech Support to have this investigated further in the coming week(s) after we've gathered all relevant information and data.
We'll also be setting up a lab environment to help us resolve this issue together with Microsoft.
FYI: Using 16bit color graphics forced by the Citrix Published Desktop did not resolve the issue. The cursor is still stuck. Unable to test using native RDP at this moment.
Any help from Microsoft representatives is greatly appreciated.

How do I use my web cam to record audio and video? I can get the video to work but no sound.

I want to record both audio and video at the same time. The video works fine but not the audio. I do use Skype without any problems using both.

This made me smile, because things like this do make me smile... I never make videos on YouCam, but I did this time, so I could test this one out.
You did not say what webcam software you are using...

Make sure you have turned on a working microphone in Settings:
YouCam > Right-Side Settings >
Right-Side, Lower-Right, Select a working Microphone from the Drop down list
AND
CHECK "Capture with audio"
OK
You can also buy (for $38 US) YouCam 5.0 from the Cyberlink.com website and it has audio/video and all sorts of other goodies, too. (They have 3.x as well, but why buy what HP already gives you?)

"Error while trying to sync Audio and Midi" I have been having this problem now and then for some time. Now, I can't run any audio files without a lot of popping. I tried all the suggestions on the support document for this issue. I even downloaded new drivers from Motu for my Express XT Midi interface and my 828MK11 Audio interface. There has been no change. HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELP!!!!!!
Also, I have tried reseting the 828 to factory default and that does not help.

Hi,
I solved my own problem by resetting the factory presets:
Follow these steps to restore the MOTU 828mkII to Factory Default Settings.
Disconnect the firewire cable from the 828mkII
Press the Setup knob
Turn the Setup knob all the way to the right
Press the Select knob
Press the Value knob
Power off the interface and plug the firewire cable back in
Power the interface back on
The same steps can be followed to restore the Factory Default Settings on a Traveler.

big help. In our session we keep getting this problem where the song counter stops, the music keeps playing and we get an error message saying:
Non Tempo-Event found in Sync Reference
We looked in the tempo list and somehow there was a tempo event of 0.00 tempo in there.
We deleted it, got the same error message, but the prob seems to be fixed.
Apple, please fix this!

What is the difference between"export audio and "bounce"?

What is the difference between the "export audio" and "bounce" functions?
Do plug ins get saved with the created BWF(broadcast wave files)in the "export" function?
Or is the "bounce" method the required function to enable plugins embedded in BWF files?
Also I noticed that the "convert to SDII file" produces files not readable by ProTools.
It was my understanding that using the convert to SD II files via the audio bin is used, it would produce BWF files for use in Protools.And if you use symbols like / in your track names the files won't get converted or bounced!
Also would it not be cool if LE8 had a feature that could render BWF files small enough to send via internet file sharing and transfer apps, in other words a built in file transfer feature. Am I asking for too much.

Export audio is good to move the tracks to another application or computer for further editing.
Bounce renders the mix into a stereo track in 2 basic ways: PCM, i.e. uncompressed, or compressed (like AAC, mp3 etc.).
PCM can be AIFF, Broadcast WAV (even if it's written only WAV those are BWF), and SDII that's the standard file type of ProTools.
Note that PT doesn't use interleaved stereo files but two separate files for left and right channels, i.e. filename.l and filename.r and if you save in this way PT will accept those files for sure.
Uncompressed audio files cannot be compacted (in fact, that's why they're called uncompressed).
These days there are a lot of Internet services that permit to transfer several Gb (up to 5) for free.
If you are thinking of something like Digidelivery then you should put your attention towards Digi's products, not Apple's ones.
