Table display from RFC web servcice

Hi,
I am calling a RFC web service from my WD for Java app.I am able to get the export param in one of the UI elements.But I am not able to display the TABLES parameter in the WD table.
I have tested the web service from the WS explorer and it works fine.
Can anybody help?
thanx,
Bhupesh

Hi Bhupesh ,
-o Go through the trace files or the log files of the Server,and check if there were no Exceptions raised.
-o Or there any data type mismatches between your WDtable and your Webservice table.
Let us know if you could solve the problem. Thanks.

  • Table display in Visual Web JSF (Project woodstock)

    Hi...
    I am trying to display a table(Quota) from a database in Visual Web JSF(project woodstock) and it works fine, as in I am able to run the project and a browser opens up dislaying the page with the date from the table. However when I try to display another table (Booking) from the same database, I am having problems. The page renders with no content(BLANK) in the browser. I am not sure why this is happening as I am using the same technique used to display content from the Quota table.
    This is my jsp code to display the Quota table ( this is the table that loads fine)

  • JCO not returning Table Data from RFC

    Hi,
    I have written a RFC in ABAP having ..
    1) One Import parameter.
    2) NO EXPORT Parameter.
    3) One Table. (Returning 'n' rows of data field 'WA').
    I am calling the RFC using JCO.
    No output is displayed. The ABAP functions is working fine
    when tested using SE37.
    How call function with this combination?
    Regards.

    Milind,
    This is how I have done.
    I pass the parameter to import parameter list. The abap code looks if any import parameter is added. Then it fills one of the tables with data values. Then I call the table and display the results and set the import parameter to something else.
    JCO.Field import = function.getImportParameterList().getField("<Field Name>");
    import.setValue("<Field Value1>");
    Table1=function.getTableParameterList().getTable("<Table Name>");
    Table2=function.getTableParameterList().getTable("<Table Name>");
    mConnection.execute(function);
    Then I get the table values from the required table1 and table2. Then Finnaly before exiting from the connection
    I reset the value of Import parameter
    JCO.Field import = function.getImportParameterList().getField("<Field Name>");
    Con2.setValue("<FieldValue2>");
    mConnection.execute(function);
    mConnection.disconnect();
    Hope this helps to understand from J2ee perspective what is happening. So accordingly you can write the ABAP code to change the table values based on the values that you get in the import Parameters.

  • Returning table structure from Web Service...

    Hi,
    I have a web service which retrieves data from a database table. I want to use this web service from my Visual Composer to display the data on the screen.
    I want to know how to return the table structure from my web service. Currently i am returning a string array (only one row of data) from my web service and displaying it in the VC. But i want to include the names of the columns as well.
    I tried using 2D String[] and HashMap, both didn't work for me.
    Any ideas?
    Regards,

    Hi Venkat,
    I recommend to pass the headers in seperat variables and the data table in a array.
    I did something similar, without the header, because they are fixed in my scenario.
    This webservice returns a list of all Portal Roles:
         public roleModel[] getRoles() throws Exception{
                   // Array List as return value
                   ArrayList RoleList = new ArrayList();
                   // Try Block reading portal roles

                        IRoleFactory rfact = UMFactory.getRoleFactory();
                        // Filter for PortalRoles
                        IRoleSearchFilter roleFilter = rfact.getRoleSearchFilter();
                        // Search for *
                        roleFilter.setUniqueName("*", ISearchAttribute.EQUALS_OPERATOR, false);
                        // Search all Roles
                        ISearchResult resultList = rfact.searchRoles(roleFilter);
                        // return the result list
                        if (resultList.getState() == ISearchResult.SEARCH_RESULT_OK) {
                             while (resultList.hasNext()) {
                                  // read roleUid
                                  String roleUid = (String) resultList.next();
                                  // create roleObject for roleUid
                                  IRole roleObject =     rfact.getRole(roleUid);
                                  //  instantiate new role for  ArrayList
                                  roleModel rolle = new roleModel();
                                  // read DisplayName and UniqeID
                                  rolle.setRole(roleObject.getDisplayName());
                                  rolle.setRoleID(roleObject.getUniqueID());
                                  rolle.setDescription(roleObject.getDescription());
                                  // add object to ArrayList
                                  RoleList.add(rolle);
                        // create new array from data type model roleModel (class)
                        // in the correspoding size
                        roleModel[] returnList = new roleModel[RoleList.size()];
                        // write ArrayList back to array
                        RoleList.toArray(returnList);

  • How to obtain table data that is hidden from a web page source?

    Hello!
    I have been trying to obain table data from a web page without success. The data can be copy and pasted from the web page but it can´t be found in the web page source.  I prefer NOT to use automated mouse clicks to obtain the data through CTRL-A, CTRL-C and then to the Clipboard ( I know how to do this but it is not so elegant :-) ). I tried to get the data automatically with the following code: (See snippet)
    I have also looked at the existing solutions in the forum for Loging in to a website but the difference here is that I am just interested in getting out the data from a Table (form or element? I am not so familiar with HTML nor JAVA)
    Any tips are appreciatted.

    Get Web Table Data example.png ‏53 KB

    The trick is to get the current html of the page and not the source - the source will not render the javascript of the page which is what loads/populates the table. It's the difference between inspecting an element in Chrome and viewing the source.
    You'll need to see if there's a method/property that returns the 'live' html document object model after the Javascript has populated the table rather than the source of the page.
    You may also have more success trying to replicate the same method the webpage uses to actually load the data..it probably makes a request to a page which returns the scores information in a more 'raw' format rather than having to parse out the html elements yourself.
    (Also as an aside - Java is not the same as Javascript - one is a compiled language and one is a scripting language).

  • Append Data from Java Web Dynpro to an Internal Table in ECC

    Hi,
    Currently I am using AdaptiveRFCModels to creating/updating records from Java Web Dynbpro to FM in R/3. Users can add few records before they save the changes. The current design is Java Web Dynpro call RFC FM when user add/edit one record. The record will store in an global internal table in the Function Group. For example, I have added 3 records before I save the changes. It means that global internal table should have 3 records that I added before I save it. But in fact, the global internal table only store one record while I adding the third record. The global internal table not able to keep the previous records. The code below is how I code to execute the FM from Java Webdynpro. Is the code can work as I expected? Anything missing in the codes? Please advice. Thanks.
    wdContext.nodeZhr_abc_Input().bind((Zhr_abc_Input) model.createModelObject(Zhr_abc_Input.class));
    Zhr_abc_Input objReq = new Zhr_abc_Input();
    Zhr_Pad31 insUpdVer = new Zhr_Pad31();
    insUpdVer.setQ_Id(wdContext.currentContextElement().getQ_Id());
    insUpdVer.setZ_ce(wdContext.currentZhr_Detail_OutputElement().getZ_ce());
    objReq.addLt_Pad88(insUpdVer);
    wdContext.nodeZhr_abc_Input().bind(objReq);
    wdContext.currentZhr_abc_InputElement().modelObject().execute();

    According to your code you are setting only one record.
    You have to create 3 elements for each record and add all the three to the nodeZhr_abc_Input node.
    If I understand correctly, node currentZhr_Detail_Output is the one which is containing all the three records. Loop through this node, pick each record and set to the input node.
    wdContext.nodeZhr_abc_Input().bind((Zhr_abc_Input) model.createModelObject(Zhr_abc_Input.class));
    for(int i=0;i<wdContext.nodeZhr_Detail_Output().size();i++)
    Zhr_abc_Input objReq = new Zhr_abc_Input();
    Zhr_Pad31 insUpdVer = new Zhr_Pad31();
    insUpdVer.setQ_Id(wdContext.currentContextElement().getQ_Id());
    insUpdVer.setZ_ce(wdContext.nodeZhr_Detail_Output().getElementAt(i).getZ_ce());
    objReq.addLt_Pad88(insUpdVer);
    wdContext.nodeZhr_abc_Input().addElement(objReq); // Changed from bind to addElement
    }//for end
    wdContext.currentZhr_abc_InputElement().modelObject().execute();
    Note: I just typed the code. Syntax might be wrong here and there. Please correct it while coding.
    Regards,
    Jaya.

  • Multiple records of table from RFC to XI in single XML file

    Hi
    My Scenario is as following -->
    <b>RFC ---> Sender RFC Adapter ---> XI -
    > Rec SOAP adapter ---> Web Service</b>
    Now we need multiple records from RFC which can be put in single XML file & XI can transport the whole XML file to Web Service. All the configuration in XI, Web Service is complete & I tested my mapping which is able to accept multiple records.
    But when ABAPer is sending the records I am not getting it in XI, I checked that in message payload from RFC.
    He put the table name in TABLE tab of RFC. But not under Import Tab, as whatever he is providing under Import parameter & exporting it through report I am getting in message payload but not the table data.
    Did anyone try such scenario, can you tell me how can we achieve this.
    Pls. provide me your mail ID in case you need an attachment of the current RFC & report code & my mapping snapshot.
    Regards
    - lalit -

    Hi
    We have created the BAPI in which we are just describing the structure of the payload & which I am importing in Integration Repository.
    And we are calling this BAPI from another program using " Call function ... " command & also provinding the data in that program.
    Actually ethically ABAPers are against the idea of provinding the data into program they would like to provide it in BAPI but that won't work, you have to provide data in program which in turn populate the fields of BAPI.
    Let me know with your mail ID in case you need snapshot of function & programs.

  • Passing table to the RFC from BSP!

    Dear friends,
    I am trying to call a RFC (on 4.6c) from a BSP page( on a 6.20 System). i am trying to pass a table from the BSP to the RFC and get the result back. This is not working as expected.
    The Function module  at R3 (4.6c) which takes a table as an input and gives string as an output.
    The code is for Function module is given below.
    <b>FUNCTION ZBHAVIN1.
    ""Local interface:
    *"  EXPORTING
    *"     VALUE(TEMP) TYPE  STRING
    *"     VALUE(TEMP1) TYPE  STRING
    *"  TABLES
    *"      ITAB STRUCTURE  ZITAB
    TEMP  = ITAB-MESSAGE.
    TEMP1 = ITAB-MESSAGE1.
    ENDFUNCTION.</b>
    To call this function module the code for the bsp page (created on a 6.20 System) is :
    <b>
    <%@page language="abap"%>
    <% TYPE-POOLS ZBSP1. %>
    <html>
      <head>
        <link rel="stylesheet" href="../../sap/public/bc/bsp/styles/sapbsp.css">
        <title> Display Page </title>
      </head>
      <body class="bspBody1">
        <%
        DATA TEMP2  TYPE STRING.
        DATA TEMP3 TYPE STRING.
        DATA ITAB1 TYPE TABLE OF ZBSP1_ITAB11.
        DATA WA LIKE LINE OF ITAB1.
        WA-MESSAGE  = 'THIS IS FIRST ELEMENT'.
        WA-MESSAGE1 = 'THIS IS SECOND ELEMENT'.
        APPEND WA TO ITAB1.
        CALL FUNCTION 'ZBHAVIN1'
             DESTINATION 'TCLCLNT200'
               IMPORTING
                  TEMP  = TEMP2
                  TEMP1 = TEMP3
               TABLES
                  ITAB  = ITAB1
               EXCEPTIONS
                 OTHERS = 1.
        %>
        <P><%=  TEMP2  %>
        <P><%=  TEMP3 %>
      </body>
    </html></b>
    This code is not working for me as it is.
    If i remove the comments, then it works, which means that the table passed from the BSP has no Header Line.
    So , do i need to always chnage my Receving RFC to take care of this issue? or is there a way to pass the Tabkle with Header line to the RFC from BSP?

    You'll have to define a table type either in the Types tab of the BSP application or as a Dictionary object.
    Then you can define a page attribute for the table and call the code from your OnCreate event handler (just to clean up your page layout)
    You have to remember that you are working with the whole OO context and so working with the tables inside the BSP are quite different.
    Have a look at this article for some examples: https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/library/unkown/exploring bsp development and the miniwas.htm

  • Problems Displaying data from RFC on Adobe Forms

    Hi,
    I have some Problems with creating an Adobe Form and hope, someone can help me or give me some hinds to some tutorials, which can help me.
    I'm developing an webdynpro-application which get data from a R/3 via RFC-Call.
    Context-Binding and so on is done and works. I created also an interactive form and can display some datas on it.
    Here my questions:
    I have an field 'unit' which shoulb be displayed on several positions onto the form. My problem is, i can display it only once. If i copy the field, there is no output in it. What can i do, to solve the problem?
    From the RFC i get a table with several rows of data, i want to display on the form.
    With drag&drop i can place the fields onto the form but they are displayed only once. I want one line for every row from the table.
    What do i have to do? Are there tutorials which show the steps?
    When I am not using a form, i can display the data from RFC in a table with no problems (i create a table ui and choose create binding from context menue). Are the nescessary steps for displaying the data on an interactive form the same.
    I read something about creating a dynamic form design. Do i have to create it? What are the steps i have to do.
    Many questions, but i hope that someone can give me some helpful hints.
    Many thanks
    Mathias Lange

    Hi Mathias,
    If I caught you correctly, you want to display data in Adobe forms in form of tabel, right?
    So, follow the steps:
    1. Insert one sub form on your adobe form.
    2. Set its type as "flow content" in object->subform property.
    3. Set flow direction as "Table".
    4. Insert another subform inside this subform.
    5. set its type as "flow content" and flow direction as "Table row".
    6. Now, choose binding tab, and there check "repeat subform for each Data item check box" and specify min. count for your rows.
    7. Now, insert your column fields inside this sub form once.
    8. Format its look and feel as you want.
    When you run this application, it will show you multiple data as table on Adobe form.
    Regards,
    Bhavik

  • Lately pdf files from the Web do not display properly; what is wrong and how can I fix it so I don't have to use IE?

    I am a professor and frequently need to open pdfs of academic journal articles from electronic databases. Within the last two or three weeks, when I try to do this using Firefox, only the first page of the pdf displays and the rest are blank. In addition, a bar appears across the top with the message "This pdf file may not display properly." So I have had to switch to Internet Explorer to open the files and do my research. What is going on and how can I fix it so I can open pdf files from the Web in Firefox and have them display properly?

    My question is simple - why would you put an application in production that has a lot of bugs? To replace a good and steady Adobe product? My customers will believe that I put a pathetic fallible form online. They are not sophisticated on computers so I just tell them to use IE. Ugh
    I must agree with pgwebgirl!
