Table hierarchy

I have user which consists of 150 tables.
I want to hierarchical list of tables in such as way that referential tables will be displayed first then base tables display.
e.g.
Dept and Emp table.
Emp(dept_id) references to Dept(dept_id)
So I should display in following manner
1. Emp
2. Dept
How can i get that list?
Thanks,

Hi!
Please look at this example. Is it what you are looking for?
SELECT MIN(a.table_name)  OVER (partition by a.table_name order by a.table_name), b.table_name
FROM   user_constraints a, user_constraints b
WHERE  a.constraint_name = b.r_constraint_name
GROUP BY a.table_name, b.table_name
MIN(A.TABLE_NAME)OVER(PARTITIO TABLE_NAME

  • Table hierarchy in a schema

    Hi,
    How to find the tables hierarchy in a schema?
    the output show independent tables first then
    primary key tables then foreign key tables.
    I am not asking for single table.we need overall the tables in a schema in hierarchy manner.

    check this link....

  • How can i find out the table hierarchy

    Hi experts,
    I have one doubt. how can i find out the table hierarchy in the particular schema.
    Let me explain my requirement in detail.. In my Database i have nearly 250 table each table have it's own temporary table(for authorization purpose we are maintaining the temporary tables) for each day i have to clear the temporary table data.
    All temporary table connected with each other. i mean all the table having foreign key relationship.. while i attempt the delete the data from the temporary table it showed ORA-02292: integrity constraint  violated - child record found.
    So can any one please tell how can i delete the child table record first and then parent record table record.
    Thanks in advance
    Arun

  • How to find full tables hierarchy in schema

    Hi,
    How to find the table hierarchy list from oracle schema by using Reference Key constraint?
    In my schema I am having many tables, approximate 4000 and from there I needs to get a single list which should be based in the Foriegn key based (Parent tables should be first then child tables)
    Regards
    Anee

    You can start with this
    select A.table_name children,
             B.TAble_name Father
    from DBA_CONSTRAINTS A,
            DBA_CONSTRAINTS B
    WHERE A.CONSTRAINT_TYPE = 'R'
         And B.Constraint_name = a.r_Constraint_name

    BW can maintain external hierachies for an infoobject which are stored in separate tables.Hierachies are stored separate (out of the basic star schema) by using these tables.

  • Automatic assignment of hierarchy field in the main table

    Hi,
    We are upgrading from SRM-MDM catalog 2.0 to SRM-MDM catalog 3.0 sp07 patch 10.
    In the main table, we have the standard field Hierarchy, that is a lookup on table Hierarchy.
    In order to value this field, we have a specific field in the Main table, the UNSPSC code, that is a lookup on a specific reference table. This reference table makes the link between UNSPSC codes and nodes of the Hierarchy table.
    After importing a new record that contains the UNSPSC code, we want to automatically assign a value to the hierarchy field in the Main table by the assignment's expression "[main table]UNSPSC code. [specific table]name of hierarchy. [Hierarchy table]name of hierarchy".
    When executing this assignment, we get the error "Assignment operation failed: A runtime error occurred while evaluating an assignment, validation or calculated field".
    Do you know if this kind of assignment is possible (it worked in MDM 5.5 but not anymore in 7.1) ? Or if there is a workaround ?
    Thanks for your kind help.
    Catherine

    Hi Mandeep,
    Thanks for your answer.
    But, I do not want to assign a specific value to the Hierarchy field in the Main table. I want to determine it via a specific table.
    Here is a sample of our data model to try to explain :
    Main table :
    item reference [Display field]
    hierarchy --- lookup on Hierarchy table
    UNSPSC code --- lookup on Specific reference table
    Hierarchy table :
    hierarchy name [Display field]
    hierarchy code
    Specific reference table, type flat :
    UNSPSC code [Display field]
    hierarchy name --- lookup on Hierarchy table
    After import, in the Main table, item reference and UNSPSC code are valued.
    In order to value the hierarchy field in the Main table, we would like to use the specific reference table :
    [Main table]UNSPSC code >>> [Specific reference table]hierarchy name >>> [Hierarchy]hierarchy name.
    This assignment works if the assignment field is a plain text field but not if it is the Hierarchy field of the Main table, which is on lookup on the Hierarchy table.
    Thanks for your help !
    Best regards,
    Catherine

  • Custom Report Layout with mutliple child tables

    I am trying to create a custom report layout (using Bi Publisher) where I have parent data (multiple jobs on a page) and several child tables for each job (JobDays and JobStops) and several child tables for JobDays (JobDayProviders, JobDayCrew). On the apex screen, I have a join on Jobs and JobDays and I am using functions to string each child row value for JobDayProviders and JobDayCrew together and putting a <br> in between so that they will format on separate lines within a cell. It works fine on the screen but when trying to print to pdf, it ignores these line breaks. I have also tried using <br></br> (saw an article that said just use HTML in bi pulisher) which puts two lines in between each value on the screen and is still ignored on the pdf.
    for example:
    Table hierarchy:
    Jobs table
    Job Stops
    Job Days
    Job Day Service Providers
    Job Day Crew
    Report Layout per job (will have mutlipe jobs to print, just printing 1 day per job):
    Jobs.col1 JobStops.row1 JobDay.col1 JobDayProviders.row1 JobDayCrew.r1
    JobStops.row2 JobDayProviders.row2 JobDayCrew.r2
    JobDayProviders.row3
    Thanks,
    Linda
    First, is there a way to get bi publisher to recognize the line breaks? If not, what is the best way to create a custom report for this scenario? I tried to create a report query with mutliple queries, but cannot determine how to link the child queries to the paren query. I have seen an example where a button is pressed to print one parent row and the id of that row is saved and referenced as a parameter in each of the queries, but if printing mutliple parents on a report, how would I link the child queries to the parent query?

    Helen,
    The best way for your case is to use a content folder and customize it whichever way you like.
    however, your question is about reports. the problem in reports is this that you have to use just one single query and the layout of the results of this query are displayed in a peculiar way.
    anyway. something similar but not exactly the same as what you wanted do is the following.
    use a query like the following: (with a union in between)
    SELECT COLUMN1,NULL , NULL ,NULL ,NULL
    FROM my_source_table
    WHERE myCriteria LIKE 'SoAndSo%'
    UNION
    SELECT NULL,COLUMN2 , COLUMN3, COLUMN4, COLUMN5
    FROM my_source_table
    WHERE myCriteria LIKE 'SoAndSo%'
    ---------- Now, have the following codes in the layout segments:
    <!--- header --->
    <table border="0" cellpadding="1" cellspacing="1" width="20%" align="center">
    <!--- body --->
    <tr align="center">
    <td><table border="0" cellpadding="1" cellspacing="0" width="30%" align="center">
    <tr align="center">
    <TH><#COLUMN1.FIELD#></TH>
    </tr>
    </table>
    </td>
    <TD class="report_cell" ALIGN="LEFT"><#COLUMN2.FIELD#></TD>
    <TD class="report_cell" ALIGN="LEFT"><#COLUMN3.FIELD#></TD>
    <TD class="report_cell" ALIGN="LEFT"><#COLUMN4.FIELD#></TD>
    <TD class="report_cell" ALIGN="LEFT"><#COLUMN5.FIELD#></TD>
    </tr>
    <!--- footer --->
    <TR><TD></TD></TR>
    this should produce a report with a table structure (you may see the whole if you give BORDER="1" in the main table tag). Within this table, the first column of the first row should be showing top-leftmost column value once (COLUMN1 value) and then the next rows would show last four column values as a table block on the right-bottom part.
    with kind regards,
    naqvi

  • OBIEE 11g Time Hierarchy with YTD function problem

    Hi all,
    Platform: OBIEE 11.1.1.5.0.
    We have a Calendar dimension (*time dimension*), that includes the usual time hierarchy (Year > Semester > Quarter> Month > Day).
    Creating a Pivot Table with a YTD measure, using also the Calendar Table hierarchy, everything works fine, and we can drill up & down always getting the right YTD values.
    But, if we add to this analysis, a year and month prompts (filters), we only receive true YTD values, at the day and month levels of the hierarchy. Above this, values will sum up instead of getting the right YTD aggregated value.
    YTD logical column definition = TODATE(Table A.Measure B , Hieararchy.Year)
    Example of pivot values returned:
    *2011*=1192812 (Sum of the 3 Semester not the YTD value)
    Semester 1 = 377305 (Sum of the 4 Quarter not the YTD value)
    Quarter 1= 107460 (Sum of the 3 months not the YTD value)
    Jan = 18507 (YTD value)
    Feb = 35223 (YTD value)
    Mar = 53730 (YTD value)
    Is there anything that we might be doing wrong?
    Thanks in advance,
    Ricardo

    Ricardo,
    You might be aggregatign values twice either at RPD level or at reprot level. Please check on that.

    It is One way that We derive
    "sys_connect_by_path(RowIDToChar(RowID),'.') as
    RowIDList"
    Then
    We use Left Join Using

  • Aggregation with a parent child hierarchy

    Hi
    I have 2 tables, hierarchy and data
    hierarchy has 2 columns parent and child
    data contains values for the lowest rungs of the hierarchy described.
    What i'd like to do is, using the hierarchy described, sum the lowest rung values up to their parent values and so on.
    Quick example:
    Hierarchy
    child parent
    1 null
    2 1
    3 1
    4 2
    5 2
    Data
    hiearchyid value
    3 10
    4 20
    5 30
    output required
    1 60
    2 50
    3 10
    4 20
    5 30
    The last 3 rows are just the 2nd table so i can just union those in but how would i work out the first two values using sql... have tried combinations of connect by, analytics (partition by etc) and rollup but to no avail...
    Any help would be appreciated..

    The actual query is fine, however I don't always need the t1.JPA_DISC IN (?, ?) part because I am providing sufficient filtering.
    Is there a way to suppress this in the query, or should I not be bothered with a large IN CLAUSE?
    You comments would be appreciated.

    The issue is you are querying a branch class, so only the children of this branch must be filtered. Unless you are noticing real performance issues with the IN, I would not worry about it too much.
    Otherwise, you could consider using joined inheritance, or some level in between joined and single table (JPA does not support this, but TopLink does if you customize your descriptors).
    You could also customize your TopLink descriptors using a DescriptorCustomizer to change how subclasses are filtered. You would need to set the ClassDescriptor's InheritancePolicy's withAllSubclassesExpression.

  • ALV WebDynpro Hierarchy -Setting non-numeric values in the header level row

    Hi Experts,
    When setting up an ALV table as a table hierarchy the standard ALV settings only seem to allow for numeric values to be displayed in the higher hierarchy levels. Is there a way to also set the values for some non-numeric columns into these higher-level rows - programmatically or through the ALV Settings?
    Example: I have delivery item level data in my context and the delivery number as a hierarchy column. Some columns in my context however actually come from the delivery header e.g. delivery block, delivery priority, ship-to etc and I would like to display these in the collapsed header rows of the delivery number.
    It seems obvious to me that this should be doable otherwise if you are looking at at a list of hundreds of deliveries and all you see besides the delivery number is numeric data such as sums & totals, it's kind of hard to know which delivery you might want to expand the sub-level for.
    Please help,
    Peter

    Hi,
    Even we have faced the same issue.
    In ALV hierarchy, we cannot display data at header items/levels. this is a constraint in ALV. You can achieve the same usign TABLE UI element.

  • How to understand the hierarchy structure of 0PLANT io?

    how to understand the hierarchy structure of 0PLANT io ?
    i can understand the hierarchy structure of PRODUCT io,
    well, i hope someone could explain the hierarchy structure of 0PLANT io
    thanks.

    Hi
    You can use following hierarchy tables
    RSTHIERNODE - Texts of Non-Postable Hierarchy Nodes
    RSEHIERNODE - Master Data: Hierarchy Nodes that Cannot Be Posted To
    RSMHIERNODE - Master data: Hierarchy nodes that cannot be posted to
    RSHIEDIR - Hierarchy Catalog
    RSHIEDIRT - Hierarchy directory texts
    RSREQHIER - Data Request hierarchy
    RSROLEHIERARCHY - Role hierarchy
    In addition to these have a look at K table & I table for 0PLANT.
    K table - Hierarchy SID table
    I table - Hierarchy structure table
    Hope this will help..!!
    Thanks,
    Vikrant
