Table in the footer

Hello, I am new to BI Publisher, in fact I am working on my first report. I have the following problem:
I use MS Word 2007 to build the rtf template. As you know Word doesn't allow fields to be inserted in the header and footer section of the page. So I manually inseted the following code:
<?for-each:ROWSET3_ROW?> <?FIELD_1?> <?end for-each?>
There are about 15 rows in the rowset. The above code inserts all of them in 1 column and widens the footer much more than what I would like it to be. How can I modify the code to have the values in 3 or more columns of 5 something like
value 1 value 6 value 11
value 2 value 7 value 12
value 5 value 10 value 15
George

Sorry, wrong forum, I will post in BI Publisher forum.

  • Page count in the footer of a table in the form layout

    hi friends,
    I just want to print the page number detaisl in the footer of the SMARTFORM .
    I just dragged the values from the system folder and use it as usual.
    But the values are displayed in such a manner
    for sy-page of sy-printpage
    gives 1 of *
    2 of *
    9 of *
    10 of 31
    11 of 31
    31 of 31
    But when i give the same values in a separate or in a separate text , i can get an expected result as
    1 of 31
    2 of 31
    31 of 31
    can somebody help me to solve this problem.
    why it happens so , only in the footer of an table, and why the values are not printing only upto 9?
    tell me some possible ways of solving this problem

    Hi Kumar,

  • Is it possible to use a table in the sheet footer in Numbers '09?

    Hello there.
    I can't find a way to to that. In Pages '09 it is indeed possible and very simplie and intuitive. The very same approach doesn't work for me in Number. Is it possible at all?
    Thanks in advance.

    You can not place a table in the header/footer in Numbers

  • Rectifications of different sizes for all the three table lines in footer.

    Hi friendz,
                    i am working in ecc6 system(smartforms).
                    i am using 3 table lines in the footer one for total, the second one for tax calculation, and the third one for the grand total.
    But in the output screen display - the total, tax and grand total(in different table lines) are displayed with different heights, which gives unprofessional look for the form.
    i want all the table lines in the footer to display with equal heights.

    Hi,
    first you create LTYPE follow below sequence
    Go table tab--> details tab--->give suitable heights for ltype
    next go to FOOTER in the main window
    create three table lines under footer like
    FOOTER1
    FOOTER2
    FOOTER3
    for three table lines we need to assign line type LTYPE
    Go FOOTER1 ---> output options -
    > give LTYPE.
         FOOTER2 ---> output options -
    > give LTYPE.
         FOOTER3 ---> output options -
    > give LTYPE.

  • Reject the footer using the external table

    Hi,
    I have a flat file with fixed length which have a header and a footer.
    My file is something like this:
    HADF.TXT0309
    D12345ABCD
    D22345ABCD
    FOOTERHJ
    I want to create an external table based on that file, but
    I don't want to have the header and the footer in my table. To eliminate the header I used skip 1, but I don't know how to eliminate the footer.
    Any example and suggestions will be appreciated
    Thank you for your time and consideration
    Catalin

    Hi,
    This problem may be due to several reasons. I am aware of few reasons.
    1)Have you deployed the external table first?
    2) If you do not have your data base client and server running in the same machine, you should place the csv file in the database server machine's 'c:\CSV' folder in order to create the external table through database. Then do a select count(*) statement.
    3)Another reason may be as gerardnico said the file name you refered may be wrong.
    I don't know your requirement. If you could create the external table succefully and if you get value for the select count(*) from <external_table_name>, then try to import the external table into the Design Center and map it with the Table you need.
    If you are doing it purely with OWB then,
    Do you have the file Export_WithHeaders.csv in the Server machine's 'c:\CSV_FILE' folder?
    Because while importing the metadata of the CSV file the OWB will point to your local machine's 'c:\CSV_FILE' that is why your Validation and Deployment is success without errors.
    But while executing the map it will take the data from Server machine. It will search for the Location 'c:\CSV_FILE' in the server machine and will look for the file Export_WithHeaders.csv there. So create athe same folder setup which you have in your client machine and run this again.
    Try this if you do not get any better answers in this thread

  • How can I insert a table in the header?

    The question is easy: How can I insert a table of one row in the header.
    Thanks in advance.
    Jesús.

    There are multiple versions of Pages in circulation on Mavericks and Yosemite. Telling us which one helps with a more accurate answer.
    If you are referring to Pages v5, then you cannot insert a table into the header or footer, because implicitly, these are table cells too. The discontinued Pages ’09 v4.3 would allow table insertion in the document header/footer fields.

  • Removing an address from the footer of SAPSCRIPT form

    Hello Everyone
    I am VERY new to SAPSCRIPT and I am having issues of an address that is showing up on the footer of a QM rejection report.  The address does not even belong to us so advice would be GREATLY appreciated.
    Here is what I have done to date...
    I went to transaction SE71, found my QM form...went to footer...selected the icon for text elemets went to change editor and removed the text that read
    INCLUDE 'ADRS_FOOTER' OBJECT TEXT ID ADRS LANGUAGE &PRINT_LANGUAGE&
    I can not locate the variable that is even related to this anywhere that states an address from a whole different company....
    the only other thing I see is in the main window the above code is there as well but again no variable.  The other companies address is still printing at the footer of my form...
    Please help

    Hi,
      You are saying that you have removed the below line (Which prints the logo).
    INCLUDE 'ADRS_FOOTER' OBJECT TEXT ID ADRS LANGUAGE &PRINT_LANGUAGE&
    This is the line which is printing the footer.If you remove this then it should not print.
    Please check the below.
    1.Goto NACE or check in TNAPR table and check whether this the one which is configured.
    2.If yes for 1, then search for any other statement as above and try to remove it and check.
    Or please check on trial and error basis by removing same type of statements, so you will come to which statement is printing the address.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Vamsi.

  • Overwriting the footer with data data

    Hi,
    I am facing a small problem in Adobe forms.
    I have created a footer in the master page. I have 7 pages of layout. In the botton of the 4th page i need to print the table data. So i have placed that table in the bottom of 4th page. As the table data is dynamic the data should be preinted continuosly to the next page. So have maintained the pagination as
    place: following previous
    After: continue filling parent.
    Now my problme is the table data is overwriting the footer data even though the footer is outside the content area.
    Can anybody help out in this issue.
    Best regards
    Deepika.

    You can use the SET_LOV_PROPERTY built-in to change the record group of the LOV and to create a new record group you can use the CREATE_GROUP_FROM_QUERY built-in.
    it will be something like this.
    RG_ID := FIND_GROUP('<record group name>');
      IF NOT ID_NULL(RG_ID) THEN
           DELETE_GROUP(RG_ID);
      END IF ;
      RG_ID := CREATE_GROUP_FROM_QUERY('<record group name>', '<your SQL statement here>');
      POP_GROUP := POPULATE_GROUP('<record group name>');
      SET_LOV_PROPERTY('<LOV name>', GROUP_NAME, '<record group name>');Use the online help for more information about these built-ins.

  • Sizing the HTML client's content area above the footer

    As I'm fairly new to the intricacies of the HTML client, I've a simple question with hopefully a simple answer.
    Having designed the following screen (containing a custom scheduling control above a standard LS table) I've found that the footer (class: mssl-footer, data-role: footer) is overlaid on top of the content area (class: mssl-content, data-role: content): -
    As a result, the lower portion of the table is obscured (in the above screen-shot I've adjusted the opacity of the footer to illustrate this overlay).  As a consequence this will make scrolling the table and viewing the entries slightly awkward
    and it looks a bit messy.
    So the question I have is, what's the 'best-practice' approach to avoid this overlay and have the content area stop short just above the footer?
    Any guidance on how to address this would be appreciated.
    Kind regards,
    Chris

    I don't know the answer but I would love to see a sample project that uses this custom control. I need to implement something very similar but am not a developer just and admin trying to use Lightswitch in a small business.
    Hi Dave,
    I've only just noticed your question regarding the scheduling control (as it was posted against a temporary user account I don't monitor) so apologies for the delay in replying.
    The control in the screen-shot is the
    dhtmlxScheduler which works very well with LightSwitch and offers a great set of features.
    Also, for Sergey, we addressed the sizing issue with a change to the msls LightSwitch library as covered in the following post: -

  • Smartform utilisation of the footer window space dynamically

    Hi All
             I have created a smart form with a main window and footer window below the main window, in all pages where the table data is printing over the main window ,the space is left for the footer window since the footer window data will be printed only after completion of main window only. Now in all the pages space is left below the page... How to utilize the space dynamically for footer window only after completion of main window.
      If main window data is there then footer window space should be utilized by main window in all pages. and if main window data is completed then only the footer window space should be considered and printing the footer text.
    How to achieve this....... please guide me
    Regards,
    Lokesh.

    Hi Lokesh,
    just place your this template after all of your data in main window (as shown after the table in screenshot below), i.e. after your table and make its usual flow , as shown in below screenshot, whenever your all data get printed then the text in these smartform will get printed.
    i.e, put your this template as last element in your smartform, and let it be printed as usual
    If you are not able to do it like as shown above, then go to the template and Double Click it, then Go to its Conditions Tab, and Check the "only before end of Main window."
    Let me revert , if still your problem persist.

  • Insert unique sheet names in the 'footer' section

    I have a spreadsheet with 9 separate sheets. Each sheet has 4-6 tables. I have inserted a footer for each sheet. However, I am trying to figure out how to insert the unique sheet name (ie; I have a sheet call TOC, Center 1, Center 2 etc).
    Is there a way to insert the sheet 'name' in the footer, just like I insert page # or page count?
    Thank you.
    Peter

    Hello David,
    Thank you for the directions. You saved my day and hours of feared rewriting. Funny thing was, when I went back and opened up some of the other pages in the site, the meta tags were indeed in the correct spot, exactly where you suggested to put them. Today as I was working, all the pages I opened up added the tags to the top of the code, which was the problem.
    Turns out, I found out why... and this should be taken as a note for everyone that uses design view. If you are working in design view you have no direct access to the head (in only design view), and even though you go to the top menu to add head tags (per DW's instructions), if the actual cursor (in code view) isn't in the correct place it will inserted at the top, line 1. Maybe it was because it was a template, I'm not sure.
    My work flow today was to open a previously created page, and immediately add the tags (using DW's menu). That is all I was doing. So by default, as I watched the process in the split-code view, on the opening of my html page, the cursor was put at the top of the code, and that is where it incorrectly added the tags.
    A bug? Maybe a case where you need to know what is happening behind the scenes when using design view.
    Either way, there was a logical reason and I have learned something new! Thanks for the help, as I keep learning html.

  • Append User Name on the footer

    How to append User name, page number and Date on the footer.

    Hi,
    Journal Entrys and Vouchers are relatively easy to do.  You can create a UDF and call it User Name.  Then apply the following formatted search:
    SELECT T0.U_NAME FROM OUSR T0 WHERE T0.INTERNAL_K = $\[USER\]
    I would set it to automatically refresh in order to populate the field.
    You can also do this for Incoming and Outgoing payments, this would be ok if you raise them manually (Incoming payments are normally fine as people do tend to add them one by one).  If you do an bulk payment run for Outgoing payments then filling in the UDF will require some kind of SDK i think.
    All you would need to do is display the UDFs on your PLD layouts.
    Unfortunately you cannot use the OUSR table and User Name field as I think this will pick up the current logged in user.  Perhaps if once the document is approved it goes back to the originator to print and add that might solve it.  I'm afraid i don't have SAP open so cannot test.

  • I am trying to have access tables of the Sql Server through the Oracle

    I am trying to have access tables of the Sql Server through the Oracle and this being occurred the error:

    I created the ODBC with name HSMSQL.
    I made all the configurations in the archives

    Hi,
    It seems that your configuration is Ok. By the way, the workaround for this error is:
    ORA-28500: connection from ORACLE to a non-Oracle system returned this message:
    [Transparent gateway for ODBC][H001] The environment variable <HS_FDS_CONNECT_INFO> is not set.
    * Set HS_FDS_CONNECT_INFO in the hs{sid}init.ora file to the data source name.
    Example: HS_FDS_CONNECT_INFO = <ODBC DataSource Name>
    * Make sure the hs{sid}init.ora file exists in the ORACLE_HOME/hs/admin directory and has the same name as the SID in the LISTENER.ORA.
    Example: If SID=hsodbc in the listener.ora file, then the hs{sid}init.ora file would be named ORACLE_HOME/hs/admin/inithsodbc.ora

  • "Failed to open the connection" problem related to multiple tables in the report?

    Post Author: Gadow
    CA Forum: Data Connectivity and SQL
    System specifics:
    Web environment using ASP.Net 2.0 (from Visual Studio 2005 Professional)
    Crystal Reports 2008, v. 12.0.0.549, Full
    We have set up the following method for displaying reports via our website:
    User is sent to a report-specific page. The user is given some filtering options specific to the report that will be viewed. When the user has specified the data filters, the user clicks a button.
    The page wraps up the report parameters -- selection query, formula values, report location, the name to be displayed, etc. -- into a class which gets put into the Session object.
    The page redirects to DisplayReport.aspx. ALL reports redirect to this page.
    DisplayReport.aspx retrieves the report parameters from Session. A ReportDocument object is created and loaded, then set with the data from the parameters class.
    A ConnectionInfo object is created and set with the relevant log on credentials. All of the reports draw from the same database, so the connection information is hard-coded as the same for all reports. The page then iterates through all of the tables in the Database.Tables collection of the ReportDocument and calls ApplyLogOnInfo to each table using the ConnectionInfo object.
    The page is rendered and the user gets the filtered report.
    We currently have seven reports. Five reports work fine and display the correctly filtered data with no error messages. Two reports generate a Failed to open the connection error and do not display. I have verified that the queries being sent to DisplayReport.aspx are valid, and as I said the connection information itself is hard-coded in the one page that displays the reports and this is identical to all reports.
    The five reports that do work all have a single data table, either an actual database table or a single view. The two reports that do not work all have multiple tables. As far as I can tell, this is the only difference between the sets; all seven reports are based on the same DSN and I have verified the database on all of the reports. All of the reports were written using Crystal Reports 8, and all of the reports display fine in a Windows app I wrote some years ago using Crystal Reports 8. Again, the only difference between those reports that do work and those that do not is the number of tables used in the report: one table or view in the reports that display, more than one table (tables only, none use views) in the reports that do not display.
    As for the code I am using, below are the relevant methods. The function MakeConnectionInfo simply parses out the components of a standard SQL connection string into a ConnectionInfo object. DisplayedReport is the ID of the CrystalReportViewer on the page.Protected Sub Page_Init(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs)
            Dim o As Object = Session("ReportParams")

                        Case Else
                            'For now, treat these as if they were strings. If things blow up here,
                            'we will need to add the appropriate formatting for the field type.
                            FFD.Text = String.Format("""""", kvp.Value)
                    End Select
                End If

                T.ApplyLogOnInfo(TLI)
            Next
            DisplayedReport.ReportSource = RD

    Does this approach not work with reports containing multiple tables, or is there something I'm missing? Any meaningful suggestions would be much appreciated.
