Table name storing freight

Which table stores the sales orders and the corresponding freight charges?
I found table KONV but it doesn't seem to list the correct values for the condition types that I see from TCODE VA03 for a sales order. Some orders are not even found from this table that are founr from VA03.

First of all find out the condition type for Freight being used in the order.
Then go to table VBAK and get the value of field KNUMV( Condition record number).
Then go to table KOMV and enter the KNUMV value in Doc condition field.
and the item number of the item which you want to see the conditions.
If you want to see Freight charge only, enter the condition type for Freight charge in the selection screen of KOMV table.
Now you should be able to see the data.

Join a row to a table name stored within a column ?

Hi guys - can you tell me if this is doable at all ?
I've an existing table with a lot of data in it that I wish to query on.
This table has a text column, and then 4 more columns - Join Table name, Join column name, Join value and table value column.
The 3 join 3 columns allow me to join this piece of text to a row in another table, identified by the 3 join columns listed above.
Now, I appreciate this is a lousy design, but its in place and there's nothing I can do about it.
I do however need to get a row by row report of the text, followed by the value stored in the column identified by table id column.
So lets say I have

Name
Age
Sex
Table_B
Col_ID
Colour
Hue
My text table will have rows like this

So - what I should be able to do is go to either table a, and select the column specified, where the id column = the value supplied.
The only way I can think of doing this is to create a temporary table and go through the text table, row by row using pl/sql and select from whatever table it tells me to using dynamic sql and populate the temporary table.
Can this be done using sql ??

I think your present approach, using dynamic SQL, is the best that you can do.
One possible alternative is to unpivot table_a, table_b, and all the other tables like them into an EAV form, then do a UNION of all those unpivoted results. (You could do this in a view, if you wanted to.) Then your query would simply be a join between your text table and the EAV table (or view).
If you'd care to post CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements for a little sample data, and the results you want from that data, then I could demonstrate what I mean.
What version of Oracle are you using? You should always include this when you have a question. It might not matter in this case, but why take a chance?
Here's another approach that would work in very special circumstances.
If there are only a couple of tables like table_a and table_b, and they only have a couple of columns that you might need to reference, then you could do all possible joins, and use CASE expressions to get the results from the one you actually want. All the joins would have to be outer joins, so I expect this approach would be very slow.

I want to build the query to retrieve all the Template table records based on the TblmasterTable data for a given id.

This is possible but you need to understand the performance implications of Dynamic SQL before proceeding with this approach.
 
use this logic:

I have really seen very few cases where this approach is justified.

In BI I have few Info Providers to which data will be loaded frequently. Is there any table in BI which stores the information like the date and time the data was loaded to the corresponding Info Provider. Is there any table as such?? If yes then what is the transaction to reach that table.

Let me explain what exactly I need. In a PO there is a checkbox "Retun Item". If we check that checkbox for an item that item becomes a retun item.
I need to fetch all the data of this return Item. The commitment data goes to table COOI but this return item records doesn't get stored in COOI table. I need all the data of this entry including the Network Activity, Project, WBS element etc.

I need to find out the table name of the perticular field is storing in database using FM (note: using Function Module or any standard program , not manually like press F1 -> technicall setting etc.. .)
[ Exmple: Field: "MATNR" is stored in table : MARA, so i need the program/FM to findout MATNR is stoed in MARA table ]
i need this FM for update values of material master ( mm01 ) stored in different warehouse using module pool program.

Oracle function in stored procedure to retreive particular table name

I need to delete a table 'xxsys_dram_flatproperties' from database given model name as 'dram-model'.
the model name can be any thing.corresponding table name will be[i] 'xxsys_<modelname>_flatproperties'.
I wrote stored procedure .I am able to retrieve all the tables in the database using user_tables.Is there any funtion in oracle like
if table name contains letters that are there in model name.

and you are absolutly sure you want to drop only tables which have for example '_model3_' in its name (nothing else should have same part in your schema)

Table names in generated stored procs are qualified with sa schema name

I am using OMW 9.2.0.1.2 with the 9.2.0.1.3 SQL Serevr plugin to help with a SQL Server 7 to Oracle 9.2.0.1 migration on NT.
As is common with SQL Server databases, the dbo is sa. I don't want my Oracle schema to be called sa. I have succesfully gotten around this by renaming the sa user in the Oracle model in OMW.
However, the stored procedure code that OMW generates has table names qualified with sa as the schema (the tables names in the original T/SQL procs were not qualified).
How can I stop OMW from generating table names qualified with sa?

Hi,
this is a bug in the OMWB. As a workaround, you can generate the migration scripts (see reference guide and user guide for more information) from the OMWB Oracle Model and then edit these scripts to ensure that the 'sa' prefix does not appear in the text of the stored procedures. Then use these scripts to generate the schema in your database.
An alternative is to migrate the stored procedures, schema and data over to the Oracle database using OMWB and then open each procedure in Enterprise Manager, remove the references to the 'sa' prefix and re-compile the procedure.
I will keep you updated on the release this fix will appear in.

there is no table which contains the "time duration of the job" you have to calculate on the fly the by taking the (SY-UZEIT - TBTCO-STRTIME) * 60
(Current time - Start time ) * 60 = xxx Seconds

Passing Table Name to Stored Procedure for From Clause

Is it possible to pass a table name to a stored procedure to be used in the From clause? I have the same task to perform with numerous tables and I'd like to use the same SP and just pass the table name in. Something like this:

You need to use dynamic SQL whenever you are swapping out object names (tables, columns).
