Table name ? with query name , variable name and variant .

Hi All,
Is there any single table with fields as query name , variable name and variant ?
or any table which i can build a view to get these fields.
or any other way ?? to get this fields in single table
Thanks,
Ak

Hi,
first use the proper heading for a question.
you want the query all details means technical name, variable and variable type use RSRTQ
it will give total information of query.
Bex related tables
RSZELTDIR ----
Directory of the reporting component elements
RSZELTTXT ----
Texts of reporting component elements
RSZELTXREF  ---
Directory of query element references .

  • How can I related Query name with Query elements?

    Hello gurus!
    I am working with BI7, content technical, well I need to find out a solution where I can related Query name with query elements (KYF, CKY, Restricted Key Figures, var, etc)
    In master data 0tctquery, exist the query element, but, I can not related with object are from what query...
    Do you know how I can do it??? some solution???
    Best Regards

    "it is impossible to relate both tables" ???
    hmmm... these are exactly the tables the Query Designer uses to "build" up the query... so trust me, they do relate
    now to get this information in an InfoCube is a totally different thing... how do you expect to report on this if you should get it in an InfoCube? let's take a simple example... assume you have a query (QUERY_1) which looks like:
                                      Sales  Sales
    Sales Org Customer    Qty      Value
    1000         ABC           10 PC  500 €
    1000         DEF             5 PC  250 €
    in your Cube you would get:
    QueryName  QueryElement
    QUERY_1    0SALESORG
    QUERY_1    0CUSTOMER
    QUERY_1    ZSLSQTY
    QUERY_1    ZSLSVAL
    if you have free characteristics, you'll add more lines... same for variables, CKFs, RKFs, conditions, ...
    I guess it would be better to create a little ABAP report using the above tables (oh, you'll be needing a lot more tables if you wish more detail)

  • Crystal Reports - Problem with too long BEx Query technical variable names?

    Hello!
    I have Crystal Reports 2008 SP3 and the SAP BO Integration Kit XI 3.1 SP3 installed and want to access a BEx query on a BW system within my Crystal Report.
    The problem is that the name of the BEx variable is not displayed correctly (just "[]" is displayed for the variable name) as a parameter within Crystal Reports when I import the query. Furthermore I can't navigate through the fields of the query within Crystal Reports.
    The technical names of the BEx query-variables have a length of 12 characters.
    The interessting thing is that if I change the technical names of the BEx query variables to a maximum length of 8 characters everything works fine.
    I use the SAP toolbar within Crystal Reports 2008 to create the report and have the "MDX-driver"-setting selected.
    Has anyone ever had the same problem? Any suggestions?
    I don't want to change the technical names of the variables of my queries...
    thanks,
    Dominik

    Hi!
    Just fixed the problem: The "Transports" for the Integration Kit had to be imported at the BW-System

  • I can no longer see my iPods names with the new look iTunes and also don't know where to sync it when I've added songs.

    The old  version I could see the name of my iPod but now I can't! I also used to be able to sync my iPod but I can't see anywhere to do this now! Any help greatfully received!

    The main differences between iTunes 11 and earlier versions are the loss of coverflow and ability to have multiple windows open.
    In Windows, you can restore much of the look & feel of iTunes 10.7 with these shortcuts:
    ALT to temporarily display the menu bar
    CTRL+B to show or hide the menu bar
    CTRL+S to show or hide the sidebar
    CTRL+/ to show or hide the status bar (won't hide for me on Win XP)
    Click the magnifying glass top right and untick Search Entire Library to restore the old search behaviour
    Use View > Hide <Media Kind> in the cloud or Edit > Preferences > Store and untick Show iTunes in the cloud purchases to hide the cloud items. The second method eliminates the cloud status column (and may let iTunes start up more quickly)
    If you don't like having different coloured background & text in the Album (Grid) view use Edit > Preferences > General and untick Use custom colours for open albums, movies, etc.
    With iTunes 11.0.3 and later you can enable artwork in the Songs view from View > Show View Options (CTRL+J) making it more like the old Album List view
    View > Show View Options (CTRL+J) also contains options to change the sorting of grid based views
    Turning on the sidebar should make things easier.

  • Performance issues with query input variable selection in ODS

    Hi everyone
    We've upgraded from BW 3.0B to NW04s BI using SP12.
    There is a problem encountered with input variable selection. This happens regardless of using BEx (new or old 3.x) or using RSRT. When using the F4 search help (or "Select from list" in BEx context) to list possible values, this takes forever for large ODS (containing millions of records).
    Using ST01 and SM50 to trace the code in the same query, we see a difference here:
    <u>NW04s BI SQL command</u>
    SELECT
    "P0000"."COMP_CODE" AS "0000000032" ,"T0000"."TXTMD" AS "0000000032_TXTMD"
    FROM
    ( "/BI0/PCOMP_CODE" "P0000" ) LEFT OUTER JOIN "/BI0/TCOMP_CODE" "T0000" ON  "P0000"."COMP_CODE" = "T0000
      "."COMP_CODE"
    WHERE
    "P0000"."OBJVERS" = 'A' AND "P0000"."COMP_CODE" IN ( SELECT "O"."COMP_CODE" AS "KEY" FROM
      "/BI0/APY_PP_C100" "O" )
    ORDER BY
    "P0000"."COMP_CODE" ASC#
    <u>BW 3.0B SQL command:</u>
    SELECT ROWNUM < 500 ....
    In 3.0B, rownum is limited to 500 and this results in a speedy, though limited query. In the new NW04s BI, this renders the selection screen unusable as ABAP dumps for timing out will occur first due to the large data volume searched using sequential read.
    It will not be feasible to create indexes for every single query selection parameter (issues with oerformance when loading, space required etc.). Is there a reason why SAP seems have fallen back on a less effective code for this?
    I have tried to change the number of selected rows to <500 in BEx settings but one must reach a responsive screen in order to get to that setting and it is not always possible or saved for the next run.
    Anyone with similar experience or can provide help on this?

    here is a reason why the F4 help on ODS was faster in BW 3.x.
    In BW 3.x the ODS did not support the read mode "Only values in
    InfoProvider". So If I compare the different SQL statements I propose
    to change the F4 mode in the InfoProvider specific properties to
    "About master data". This is the fastest F4 mode.
    As an alternative you can define indexes on your ODS to speed up F4.
    So would need a non-unique index on InfoObject 0COMP_CODE in your ODS

  • NQSError: 14020  : Fact Table Incompatible with Query Request

    Hi All,
    I am trying to add a new join to existing fact and dimension tables.
    These tables are already part of some star schemas.
    Now when I add the join , RPD doesn't show any consistency errors/warnings but when I create an analysis in OBIEE 11g, Measure from fact shows only null.
    When I looked at the log, the physical query just has a select statement querying the dimension table and following message :
    "COUNT converted to NULL because [nQSError: 14020] None of the fact tables are compatible with the query request COUNT:[DAggr(CF_FACT1.COUNT by [ CD_DATE_4.DATE_KEY.. "
    Has anyone encountered similar problem ?
    Few threads spoke about settign the content level but its not set for any date dimension we are using but it still works. Facing this problem only for the new join I am trying to add now.
    Thanks for any pointers

    Back up your repository before following these steps:
    1 Reduce the problem report to minimum number of columns required to generate the error. This will usually identify which dimension and which fact are incompatible.
    2 Open the repository in the Administration tool and verify that the dimension and fact table join at the physical layer of the repository
    3 Verify that there is a complex join between the dimension and the fact in the business layer.
    4 Check the logical table sources for the fact table. At least one of them must have the Content tab set to a level in the hierarchy that represents the problem dimension. This is usually the detailed level.
    5 Check the logical table source Content tab for the dimension table. Unless there is a valid reason, this should be set to blank.
    6. Save any changes to the repository.

  • Probelm with query that contains parameter and reportviewer

    Hi,
    I writing a windows application with oracle database.
    I have a query like that
    select * from table1 where table1.Field1 In (:param)
    I create my parameter like that
    Dim param as string = " 'value1', value2, 'value3' "
    When i run the query it returns nothing. I think the problem is because of the double quote (") arround the param.
    Does someone have an idea?
    Thanks

    This error is typical. Parameter is approapriate anyplace where you could use Oracle literal, e.g. instead of
    select * from table1 where table1.Field1 In (1, 2, 3) you might use
    select * from table1 where table1.Field1 In (:a1, :a2, :a3),
    but SQL like
    select * from table1 where table1.Field1 In ('1, 2, 3')
    is most likely sensless
    Generally speaking you should not use parameterized IN expression when parameters are elements of the list that is defined interactively. Better approach is to dynamically generate IN list and concatenate it to SQL string:
    stSQL = 'select * from table1 where table1.Field1 In (' || v1 || ',' || 'v2' || ')'
    and that's it.
    Usually number of variants is limited and you do not make your Oracle server to over-parse.

  • Loading COBOL file - blocked variable records and varying size arrays

    We would like to use ODI 11g to regularly to parse and load into Oracle DB 11g complex files that originate on the MVS mainframe.
    Key file characteristics are:
    1. EBCDIC encoding
    2. file contains blocked records - each block starts with a 4-byte Block Descriptor Word (BDW). BDW bytes 1-2 specify the block length stored as a 16-bit unsigned integer, i.e. PIC (5) COMP in COBOL.
    3. each file block contains multiple variable size records - BDW is followed by 1 or more variable length records. Each record starts with a 4-bytes Record Descriptor Word (RDW). RDW bytes 1-2 specify the record length stored as 16 bit unsigned integer, i.e. PIC (5) COMP in COBOL.
    4. each file record contains number of scalar fields and several varying-size arrays - COBOL OCCURS DEPENDING ON. For example:
    03 SAMPLE-ARRAY-CNT PIC S9(1) COMP-3.
    03 SAMPLE-ARRAY OCCURS 0 TO 5 TIMES DEPENDING ON SAMPLE-ARRAY-CNT.
    05 ARRAY-CD1 PIC X(5).
    05 ARRAY-CD2 PIC X(7).
    05 ARRAY-AMOUNT PIC S9(3)V9999 COMP-3.
    5, file contains fields stored as COBOL COMPUTATIONAL and COMPUTATIONAL-3.
    6. average record lengh is 1,000 bytes and each file is about 4GB
    SQL*Loader/external table functionality can handle most of these requirements on one-off basis, but collectively they present a significant challenge. The file layout can't be reversed engineered as COBOL copybook into ODI.
    Does ODI have complex file parsing capabilities that could be used to (pre-)process the file, in as few passes as possible?
    Thanks
    Petr

    Hi,
    there's a couple of options here, and I've included what I think is the simplest below (using TestStand 2.0.1).
    It's not exactly elegant though. What I've done is to put in a step that finds out the number of steps to load (based on an earlier decision - in this case a message popup step). I read a number from the limits file, and use this in the looping options of the property loader step that's loading the values into the array. I've done it with a fixed size array target here, big enough to take any incoming data. (Otherwise, knowing how many items you're going to load from the limits file, you could start with an empty array and re-size it prior to loading).
    I've cheated slightly by using the pre-expression on the property loader step to specify where th
    e data is coming from and where it's going to in the sequence on each iteration of the loop based on the Runstate.Loopindex.
    Another option is to go straight into the property loader step, and keep loading properties until the Step.Result.NumPropertiesRead = 0 (remember we're only doing this one at a time)
    Another idea would be to load in a value, and check it isn't a "flag" value (i.e. you'd never use say 999 in your array, so set the last element in your limits file to this, and drop out of the loop when this happens.
    Further still, you've got the source code for the property loader step, so you could re-write it to make a custom step that loads an array until it fails all on its own (no looping in TestStand).
    Hope this gets you going

    Hi rajeeshp,
    Currently I am not allowed to upgrade it because of internal procedures involved in upgrading a specific piece of software (obtaining permissions from various departments). Is it free to upgrade from 1.2 to 1.3 or there is a specific charge for that.

  • Assigning different variable name to objects to be stored in a collection

    sorry this may be a very silly and easy question - but i urgently need help.
    can a collection contain objects declared with the same variable name

  • Formula on presentation variable name

    Is possible to get this?
    I would like to create a presentation variable depends on a formula...like: @{'pv_'||'CASE WHEN SUBSTRING....'}
    Is possible to do this?
    Thanks!

    Hi,
    While passing the presentation variable from prompt you need to pass only with the presentaation variable name.
    You can create an intermediate report with getting the presentation variable and case statement and then pass this to the main report column(filter based on another request)
    Hope this helped/ answered

  • Issue with Multilevel subquerying, correlating out and inner object failing

    Hi,
    I have a peculiar situation with no idea how to overcome this. Please consider the following example.
    I have Table T1 with columns C1 , C2 , C3 and Table T2 with columns D1, D2, and D3.
    Here i need to fetch the column C1 and D1 when C2 = D2 or when C3 = D3 and D2 = null. So I wrote a query
    Select t1.C1, (select D1 FROM T2 t2 WHERE (t2.D2=t1.C2) OR (t2.D3 = t1.C3 AND t2.D2 is null))
    FROM TABLE T1 WHERE t1.C1 = 123456
    But here the problem was when I have two records maintained that will satisfy the condition I add a selected around the inner select with the where clause having rownum = 1
    ie
    Select t1.C1, (select D1 FROM
    (select D1 FROM T2 t2 WHERE (t2.D2=t1.C2) OR (t2.D3 = t1.C3 AND t2.D2 is null) order by t2.D2, t2.D3) b
    WHERE rownum = 1)
    FROM TABLE T1 WHERE t1.C1 = 123456
    The reason for taking the rownum outside was that i need to fetch the record where D2 is not null if it is present, therefore forcing me to use an order by clause. If I use rownum in the same inner query it fetches the first row before the order by clause is applied to the result.
    But now the problem is that i am getting an error that says t1.C2 and t1.C3 are invalid identifiers. How do i overcome this?

    Hi,
    I am not able to clearly understand your requirement, neither there is any reference data.
    Anyways, based on what i could think, I have made the below query, think you can tweek it to suit your requirement.
    SQL> CREATE TABLE t1 (c1 NUMBER, c2 NUMBER, c3 NUMBER);
    Table created
    SQL> CREATE TABLE t2 (d1 NUMBER, d2 NUMBER, D3 NUMBER);
    Table created
    SQL> INSERT INTO t1 VALUES (1 ,2, 3);

    SQL> INSERT INTO t1 VALUES (4, 5, 6);

    SQL> INSERT INTO t1 VALUES (7, 2, 3);
    1 row inserted
    SQL> INSERT INTO t2 VALUES (1, null, 3);
    1 row inserted
    SQL> INSERT INTO t2 VALUES (1, 2, 3);
    1 row inserted
    SQL> INSERT INTO t2 VALUES (4, 5, 6);
    1 row inserted
    SQL> INSERT INTO t2 VALUES (4, 5, 6);
    1 row inserted
    SQL> SELECT c1, c2, c3, d1, d2, d3
      2    FROM (SELECT t1.c1,
      3                 t1.c2,
      4                 t1.c3,
      5                 t2.d1,
      6                 t2.d2,
      7                 t2.d3,

      9            FROM t1, t2
    10           WHERE (t1.c2 = t2.d2)
    11              OR (t1.c3 = t2.d3 AND t2.d2 IS NULL))

  • URGENT: Error with query on MultiProvider

    Hi,
    I am designing a query on a MultiProvider that combines a cube and ODS. the common characterisitics in the cube & ODS are Material, fiscal period, country.
    I have 2 rows & 1 column and several free characterisitics (mostly navigational attributes of Material).
    Rows: KF1 (from cube) & KF2 (from ODS)
    Column: Fiscal Period
    I have done all the selections & Identification in the multiprovider and set the ODS for BW reporting.
    I am not able to get data from ODS with query on MultiProvider.
    And i need to add another row that calculates the product of KF1 & KF2. KF1 is sales quantity and KF2 is price identified uniquely by Material/Country combination. When we report at Country level wihtout any material selection the output revenue should be SUM of individual products between KF1 & KF2 (if there are 3 materials (A) sold that have a price of X and 2 materials (B) sold that have a price of Y, the answer should be 3X + 2Y instead of (32) * (XY)/2.
    and also i have geographical hierarchy for 0country which is used in ODS & cube. can i use the geographical hierarchy for ODS as well for aggregation of values?
    Regards
    Emil

    Hi, i have solved the issue by impementing an SAP note.
    and the issue is the in Query i need to calculate a key figure based on the other 2 key figures.
    KF3 = KF1 * KF2
    the only issue here is i need to find the KF1 for each material/country/fiscal period from cube 1 and KF2 for each material/country/fiscal period.
    and multiply and then aggregate according to the filter & selection conditions.
    can anyone let me know how to do it..
    its very urgent..
    thank you
