Table row border does not draw
A calendar table displays fine in most browsers and systems. One user reported that one row of the calendar was missing the bottom line of one of the rows of boxes, using Mac 10.6.7, FF 3.6.17. The user took a screenshot and indeed the line is not there. Works OK in Safari for this user, and in FF, MSIE, Safari, Chrome for other users.
Hi Mumblesnz1,
According to your description, you specify value of RepeatOnNewPage as True in the report. When exporting the report to PDF, one grouped data extend over one page, and tablix header display on first page, not repeat on following pages.
As we tested in our environment(SQL Server 2008(SP3)-10.0.5520.0(X64)), it works as you required. We set KeepWithGroup as After and RepeatOnNewPage as True. After exporting to PDF, the grouped data display on two pages, and tablix header repeats on each
page. Since we haven’t found any document mentioned this issue is fixed on which version, I suggest you try to install the service pack 3 for sql server 2008.
If you have any question, please feel free to ask.

SSRS Table/Row Header does not repeat on every page when exported to PDF
Hi, I have a SSRS Report in which the rows are grouped and the Tablix has a Table/Row header. I wanted the header to repeat on every page for a group because sometimes the data from the group would be more than one page.
To achieve this
- I went to Advance mode by clicking the arrow next to column group
- Selected the Header Static column from Row Group
- Changed the following properties
- KeepWithGroup: After
- RepeatOnNewPage:
True
- The header columns
are set to not grow.
The problem only occurs when the nested grouped data in one of the columns goes over a page. The following pages don't have any header.
So half of the time the header row repeats but when the nested grouped data extends over one page the header does not show. Problem only occurs when rendered to pdf.
I found this line "Headings are repeated on each page only if there is sufficient room" in SQL 2008 version. But I could not find it in later versions of sql server. So does that mean it is fixedHi Mumblesnz1,

Problem creating a view in Administrator: 942: table or view does not exist
Hi and thank you for reading,
I am working with the Administration tool and would like to create a view in the physical layer. However I am getting the following error messages when I try to view the Date in the view:
[NQODBC] [SQL_STATE: HY000] [nQSError: 10058] A general error has occured.
[nQSError: 43093] An error occured while processing the EXECUTE PHYSICAL satement.
*[nQSError: 17001] Oracle Error code: 942, message: ORA-00942: table or view does not exist at OCI call OCIStmtExecute.*
[nQSError: 17010] SQL statement preparation failed.
[NQODBC] [SQL_STATE: HY000] [nQSError: 10058] A general error has occured.
[nQSError: 43093] An error occured while processing the EXECUTE PHYSICAL satement.
*[nQSError: 17001] Oracle Error code: 936, message: ORA-00936: missing expression at OCI call OCIStmtExecute.*
[nQSError: 17010] SQL statement preparation failed.
I proceed as following:
Right click on a physical schema (this schema is already created and works in Answers) -> new Physical Schema ->Table Type: Select -> Select * from Table_A where name='name' (Table_A is in the physical schema) -> OK -> Save -> Deploy -> Update Row count (works) -> View Data -> Error
Any Idea what I am doing wrong. I have started with an easy select statement to test how to create a view in Oracle Administrator.
Thanks a lot for any help
EvgenyDo you see Table_A, and in which database schema?
Try to put alias (database user) before table name.
Select * from user.Table_A where name='name'
Where user is database user.
If you have Table_A in another user and connection pool is set to different user, then grant select from Table_A owner to connection pool user (make synonym for Table_A):
Example (I'm using connection pool from userB and have tables from userA and userB).
create or replace public synonym xx for userA.xx
and
grant select on xx to userB
Hope this helps.

Goran

Hey Guys, it's Xev.
I decide to use SQL and XML and it works in one scenario, but in another scenario, it doesn't.
Here is the Code, I am passing in two variables, First, I pass in the table_name and then i pass in the schema.
If I am doing this with the "user" connected and it's looking in it's own schema, it's find the results, like so, but if i try to execute this code while not
connected to the same user i am searching on i get this error.
ORA-19202: Error occurred in XML processing
ORA-00942: table or view does not exist

*Cause: An error occurred when processing the XML function
*Action: Check the given error message and fix the appropriate problem
This code works only of you are connected to the user that you are searching on.
But if you search for another user tables, it's blows up and gives the XML error above...
SET SERVEROUTPUT ON
exec DBMS_OUTPUT.ENABLE(1000000);
VAR search_string VARCHAR2(28)
EXEC :search_string := '^[0-9]{3}-[0-9]{2}-[0-9]{4}$'

COLUMN "Table" FORMAT A9
COLUMN "Column/Value" FORMAT A50
SELECT DISTINCT SUBSTR (:search_string, 1, 28) "Searchword",
SUBSTR (table_name, 1, 14) "Table",
SUBSTR (t.column_value.getstringval (), 1, 50) "Column/Value"
FROM dba_tab_cols,
--where owner = ('&SCHEMA_NAME')
TABLE
(XMLSEQUENCE
(DBMS_XMLGEN.GETXMLTYPE
( 'SELECT ' || column_name ||
' FROM ' || table_name ||
' WHERE REGEXP_LIKE

).extract ('ROWSET/ROW/*'))) t
--WHERE table_name IN ('FIND_TEST')
WHERE table_name = upper('&TABLE_NAME')
AND OWNER = upper('&SCHEMA_NAME')
ORDER BY "Table"
Can someone please explain how (DBMS_XMLGEN) works, and why it's throwing that error??
thanks,
Xev.It has nothing to do with DBMS_XMLGEN.GETXMLTYPE. It simply means user executing your SQL has no select privilege on table &SCHEMA_NAME.&TABLE_NAME.

BI Administrator Error When Updating Rowcount: table or view does not exist
I am using BI Administrator 11g. After creating a new repository and importing metadata, I brought the Physical model into the BMM layer. When I tried to update the rowcount for the tables in the physical layer, I get:
There was an error while updating row count for "<instance>".."<schema>"."<tablename>"
[nQSError 17011] SQL statement execution failed.
[nQSError 17001] Oracle error code 942, message: ORA-00942: table or view does not exist at OCI call OCIStmtExecute: select count(*) from <tablename>.
I created the connection pool during the import process and the tables were found at that time. But after the import is complete I can never update the row counts. I do have access to all the tables in question via the user account in the connection pool.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks,
KenYou need to check "Require Fully Qualified Name check box in connection pool properties. This is needed when you are using non owner user name for accessing database shemas.

Blank Tables Schemau00B4s name causes "Table or view does not exist" Oracle
Hello Guys,
I´m searching over the internet something that could solve this issue:
I´m developing an application that simply open a .rpt file, associate it to some crystalreportviewer´s reportsource. After making some tests I found out that the tables schema name (Oracle) is lost. So when I log in to the database with a user that is not the owner of the table, I get "Table or view does not exist" error.
I printed in the screen the Location property of the tables and all I got was the table name, with no schema name in it.
Someone can help me with that? I´m using visual studio 2008, 2.0 .net framework and C#
The source-code is bellow:
using System;
using System.Collections.Generic;
using System.ComponentModel;

//crReportDocument.SetDatabaseLogon("", "", "", "");
//Set the crConnectionInfo with the current values stored in the report
//crConnectionInfo = crReportDocument.Database.Tables[0].LogOnInfo.ConnectionInfo;
crConnectionInfo = new ConnectionInfo();
/* Populate the ConnectionInfo Objects Properties with the appropriate values for
the ServerName, User ID, Password and DatabaseName. However, since Oracle

Therefore, the DatabaseName property must be set to a BLANK string. */
//crConnectionInfo.DatabaseName = "";
//crConnectionInfo.ServerName = "hom";
//crConnectionInfo.UserID = "user";
//crConnectionInfo.Password = "pass";
//Set the ReportSource of the CrystalReportViewer to the strongly typed Report included in the project
crystalReportViewer1.ReportSource = crReportDocument;
//Set the CrDatabase Object to the Report's Database
crDatabase = crReportDocument.Database;
//Set the CrTables object to the Tables collection of the Report's dDtabase
crTables = crDatabase.Tables;
//Loop through each Table object in the Tables collection and apply the logon info
//specified ealier. Note this sample only has one table so the loop will only execute once
foreach (Table crTable in crTables)
crTableLogOnInfo = crTable.LogOnInfo;
crTableLogOnInfo.ConnectionInfo = crConnectionInfo;
crTable.ApplyLogOnInfo(crTableLogOnInfo);Thanks for your answer, but where do I get the Owner (Schema) name.
When I print the Table.Location property I just get the table name, not any Owner.
Ex:
My table is:
CUSTOM.TABLE1
If I print the value of table.location property value its just "TABLE1". Then If I log on as other user, not custom, I get "Table or view does not exist".
Have you understood my issue? -
Java.sql.SQLException: ORA-00942: table or view does not exist
Hi all,
I have an Oracle table called: USER_APP_VERSION with the fields (all String): (username, application_name, version).
I use PreparedStatement to insert rows into table:
String psInsertRpt = "INSERT INTO USER_APP_VERSION (username, application_name, version) VALUES (?, ?, ?)";
rptPS = conn.prepareStatement(psInsertRpt);
rptPS.setString(1, username);
rptPS.setString(2, source);
rptPS.setString(3, version);
rptPS.executeUpdate(); At executeUpdate() line, I get the following error:
java.sql.SQLException: ORA-00942: table or view does not exist
The table does exist, I can use the "INSERT INTO USER_APP_VERSION (username, application_name, version) VALUES ("name", "source", "version")";
to insert rows into db at sql command line, however, when run the same query as part of my Java code, get the SQLException.
Any idea? Any help is greatly appreciated.Thanks for the raply. I can connect to the db using a username and password, and run the query with no problem. I use the same username and password to make a jdbc connection from Java code. Since username and password are the same, does "permission" is still an issue? If yes, how can I solve it?

Table or view does not exist when using in PL/SQL block
I hav something strange...
When i execute a query it works just fine... When i use the exact same query in a function i want to create, i get the error 'table or view does not exist'
I create the function with the same user then when i'm executing the query.
For example:
select name,userid from portal.WWLOG_ACTIVITY_LOGS
if i execute this... it works fine. I get my results.
However when i create a function:
CREATE OR REPLACE FUNCTION EBUSINESS.GET_USER_CREATOR (p_userid IN Varchar2) return VARCHAR2
as
/*CURSOR c_user_creator IS
select distinct name,userid from portal.WWLOG_ACTIVITY_LOGS
where sub_domain = 'user' and action = 'create'
and name = p_userid;*/
v_creator varchar2(500);
v_ret_val VARCHAR2(500) := 'NOT_FOUND';
BEGIN
select userid into v_ret_val from portal.WWLOG_ACTIVITY_LOGS
where sub_domain = 'user' and action = 'create'
and name = p_userid;
--v_ret_val := x.userid;
--end loop;
-- Is the user in the group or not?
/*OPEN c_user_creator;
FETCH c_user_creator INTO v_creator;
IF c_user_creator%FOUND THEN
v_ret_val := v_creator;
ELSE
v_ret_val := 'NOT FOUND';
END IF;
CLOSE c_user_creator;*/
Return v_ret_val;
END;
The table or view does not exist...
I tryed with cursor, select into, for x in (select....)
Nothing works.
A select grant is a select grant right? Are there different grant you should use so you can select it into a function or just do a normal select?
I also tryed to create a view that just sais select * from WWLOG_ACTIVITY_LOGS but that doesn't work...Are there different grant you should use so you can
select it into a function or just do a normal select? Yes. Grants on objects used in functions/procedures must be given directly to the user, and not through a role. -
Table or view does not exist - Data Dictionary Import Wizard(Data Modeler)
Hi All,
In Data Modeler, Data Dictionary Import Wizard, I'm able to connect to database.But while going to the second stage (Select Schema/Database), I'm getting an error "ORA-00942: table or view does not exist".
I am able to select the table with select * from all_tables and I can open many tables as well.
Could anyone tell me, whether I'm missing any privilege, that causing this error.
Thanks in advance for you support.

APEX_APPLICATION_FILES: ORA-00942: table or view does not exist
Hello,
As my first APEX task I am attempting the upload/download demo on http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B32472_01/doc/appdev.300/b32469/up_dn_files.htm
The ultimate goal is to store PDF files in the database.
In order to complete step 1: To create an application using the Create Application Wizard:
- I first created a user from SYSTEM called 'myapp'
- Next I logged into 'myapp' to continue the exercise. (I am wondering if that is where I am going wrong... If so, please clarify)
- Knowing that I would want to save the upload to a table I created a table with a BLOB
I did the steps for the upload and ran the application - no errors to there.
Next I needed to "To create a report on APEX_APPLICATION_FILES:".
I started the wizard as instructed. When I pasted the SELECT ... FROM APEX_APPLICATION_FILES, I got the table or view does not exist. A quick review of the TABLES tab shows only the tables that I created. Not any of the system tables or views.
I logged back in as SYSTEM and reviewed the 'rights' given the user 'myapp'. All were checked.
I knew nothing of Oracle when I installed XE, so I took defaults or whatever the install doc said to do. Is that part of the problem? It is clear that I do not have rights to see that table, but I also do not see the table when logged in as SYSTEM.
Any insight appreciated,
RickThanks for the reply.

Regarding the code links, this one looks like what I need:

l_blob BLOB;

RETURN col1 INTO l_blob;
l_bfile := BFILENAME('IMAGES', 'MyImage.gif');

DBMS_LOB.loadfromfile(l_blob, l_bfile, DBMS_LOB.getlength(l_bfile));
DBMS_LOB.fileclose(l_bfile);
COMMIT;
END;
Is the 'BFILENAME' function that causes the 'get a filename' dialog box of Windows to open for the user to find which file to upload?
I'm going off to look for a newer version of APEX, thanks. -
