Table with a dropdown field with values.....

Friends, I opened this new thread with my good explanation whatim looking for . sorry for this.
I have a table:
                    col1            col2               col3
row1              r1c1           r1c2               r1c3
row2              r2c1           r2c2               r2c3
row3              r3c1           r3c2               r3c3.
I need col2 to be dropdown. Here when doinit default data is being passed to this table. Now when the WDA loads, i want col2 to be dropdown, but with only one value. whatever i have in backend.Here intially i want to disable col2. User should not hcange it.
But when i hit ADDNEWROW button, it shoudl create row4, with some (i m writing a query to fetch col2 values) values in the dropdown. User should be able to select any value here.
The r1c2 and r2c2, r3c2, should not change on ADDNEWROW. they should remain the same.
Hope this time i explained you correctly, and im expecting ur replies friends...

Please refer the code below for filling drop down in table.... this is hard coding i.e. i m filling value directly with out using database table .now wht u have to do is that you have to create an internal table with two column one key and one value. select data from database into internal table. thn just replace hard coding with the value and key column of internal table

go to SUIM > roles > roles by complexselection criteria>
under the selection according to authorization values give the object's form SU53 screen and press enter it will asks the values for given object pass the values as per the SU53 and execute it will give the list of roles.... capture the roles. The user gets access if you give the any one of the listed roles is assigned, assign the role as per your approval process.

Custom field in SRM as a dropdown field with values stored in R/3

Hi all,
I need help with custom drop-down field in SRM 5.0 shopping cart. We need to create custom field called Location in SRM goods receipt transaction. And this location field will be a drop-down field that will be filled with values from locations stored in R/3. I would really appreciate if someone can help me achieve this.

Just attach a custom search help to this field and then in the search help EXIT(RFC enabled Function module) write the logic to reterive the values from R/3.

Select data from a table and a view: field with same content and different type

hi all,
I need data from a table hrp1001 and a view V_USR_NAME. What they have in common are the content of the fields SOBID and BNAME .
It will be easier if those fields add a same type but they dont.
Any suggestions for a workaround?

Specify the date format as YYYYMMDD in where condition.
Dates are internally stored in SAP as YYYYMMDD only.
Change your date format in WHERE condition as follows.
data itab like equk occurs 0 with header line.
select * from equk into table itab where werks = 'C001'
and bdatu = <b>'99991231'.</b>
I doubt check your data base table EQUK on this date for the existince of data.
Otherwise, just change the conidition on BDATU like below to see all entries prior to this date.

[4.0] Bug - can't save changes in table after clearing date field with shift+delete

Steps to reproduce:
1) Open any table containing columns of DATE type, go to "Data" tab
2) Find any non-null cell in said column
3) Select said cell, press shift+delete. Cell's value becomes (null) and row is marked for update.
4) Press Commit button or F11
After that, this line appears in "Messages" window:
One error saving changes to table "SCHEMA"."TABLE_NAME":
If you clear column by typing space and deleting it, cell's value becomes (null) as well, but commit works. Update statement from worksheet also work, so it's not a table issue.

How do I count/add fields with numbers and fields with letters?

This is an attendance calendar I'm making for my work.
Cells in CLIENT A column will be marked with either a number ( >0, indicating how many hours attended) or a letter (A = absent, H = Holiday).
I need 2 formulas/scripts I suppose:
1) I would like cell DP1 to represent how many cells in the CLIENT A column are marked only with a number >0 -indicating how many days were attended, not how many total hours there are.
2) I would like cell DA1 to represent how many cells in the CLIENT A column are marked only with the letter A -indicating how many days were not attended.

Let's say there are 20 fields in the column. In that case you can use these scripts:
Custom calculation script for "DPA"
var total = 0;
for (var i=1; i<=20; i++) {

    if (isNaN(v)==false && v>0)
        total++;

Help needed with 'Conditions' for field with read only on demand

Hy guys,
I really need your help now, i have two items named P22_LOGIN_TYPE (..wich can be 'Default' or 'Special') and P22_PASSWORD, i need to turn to 'read only' the second item when the first item is 'Default', i'v tryied the conditional option but with no success, i know is managed from there but it's not working for me, it seems that i don't know exactly how to do it. By the way, i have APEX 2.2.
I need an exact guide (explanation) on how to do it, thank you very much.

Firstly you could set your First item to be a select list with submit. Make the branch go to the same page.
Secondly, on the read-only conditions for your second item, use the condition when item in expression 1 = value in expression 2, and set that to 'Default' in expression 2.
Essentially this will re-submit your page when you make a selection either 'Default' or 'Special'. If 'Default' is selected, then the PASSWORD item will be rendered as read-only. If you don't want to display the PASSWORD item at all, you can put the above condition for the read-only, into the conditions section of the item.
Hope this helps and is not too confusing. It reads a lot worse than it actually is ;)

How to compare table's date field with dropdown year field

I have one requirement to display the selected rows from a database table based on the selection of drop down.
Here, I have one dropdown of year(like 2009,2010,....) and I have one database table which contains one field with "DATE".
Now, I want to compare table's DATE field with my dropdown field.
Problem is that table's DATE field is of type "DATS" and dropdown is of type INTEGER(or) STRING ...
How to compare this fields?
Can any one please give me solution for this...!

Can I export values from an excel spreadsheet into a dropdown field in Acrobat?

I'm creating a form in Acrobat with a dropdown field as an option, I would like to know if I could export the values from an Excel spreadsheet into this field (there are 600 records)?

Sorry this is not something that we currently support. You have to enter your items manually. Once you created you field though you can copy in paste to other forms so you only have to create it once.

Set up table contains the enhanced field information?

I am enhancing a field in the datasource 2lis_11_vaitm,
Things i did :
1.Enhanced the ext.structure with the required field.
2.Activated the ext.structure.
3.Witten the logic in the CMOD.
4. Deleted the Setup table and refilled.
Now my question is :
1.Did the setup table contains the ENHANCED FIELD with the historical data ?if so where to see that?
I checked in RSA3 the enhanced field is displayed with the records.
The code i have wriiten is WHEN "DATASOURCE " then -> logic from the base table.
Now will the data come from the base table or from the setup table?
Can any one help me in this issue.

Why do we need to delete the setup table after doing enchancement with standard Datasource.
Ans :
You neednot refill the setup table just because you enhanced the datasource.
You need to delete and refill if the postings happened after you filled the setup table.
Meaning you will miss the current posting.Unless you have done a init in BI/BW side.

How to Populate a Dropdown field for a table control with different keys

I have Table control with abt eight columns (fields). Out of these eight field one field is with dropdown list. In table control Project ID is Primary key column. Depending upon this Project ID value, i have different values which is to be populated in dropdown boxes. In table control if there is only one project ID value say 'P000715' i can populate it but when i have more than one project ID (P000715, p000716, P000717.....) in display in rows of table control i want to have different values in my dropdown field corresponding to that row of project id. Experts please tell me how to achieve this functionality.

The only way you may be able to do this is using
MODULE PROCESS ON VALUE-REQUEST. User-programmer F4 help
in your PAI routine.
In this routine you would build the list and get the returned value to update the field.
Something like this.

I can display all the entries with a repeating subform but when I bind the CARRNAME to an enumerated dropdown I get an ADS rendering error:
WebDynpro Exception: The ADS call has failed. You can find information about the cause in the error.pdf on the application server
I have looked in the Error PDF but it is blank.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what is goign wrong or how to diagnose the problem.
I am assuming you can have a data element that has a 0..N cardinality (i.e a table element) and is also of type enumerated dropdown.
I'm guessing this is something to do with cardinality but I have no way to find out.

Unable to handle event --Select-Options as Dropdown filled with Value Set

Hi all,
I seem to be having no luck with this problem. I have searched enough, and not come across any relevant documentation either.
I am using a select options field made as a dropdown and am populating the dropdown values using the Value Set where i can provide a table of key values versus descriptions. Additionaly, I have hidden the standard buttons -- CANCEL, CHECK, RESET, EXECUTE.
This appears exactly like a dropdown, just as desired.
However, no event seems to be triggered whenever I select any value from this dropdown field.
The interface controller of the select-options component offers 5 events and I have tried creating event handlers for all of these; with no success. With no event to track, I am frozen.
I know I may be able to create such a dropdown list without using select-options either; but the point is if this functionality is provided by select-options, there should be a way of using it.
I have browsed through the helper class as well as the interface controller, but am not getting a clue.
The bottomline is, with my current situation, how can i track the on-click or on-change kind of event?
Could anybody melt the ice?

I went to the source code of the select-options class (CL_WDR_SELECT_OPTIONS) and found the method where the UI elements are rendered (RENDER_SELECTION_SCREEN_ITEM). In the spot where the DDLB is rendered, there is simply no code to register any events for the DDLB. So it doesn't appear that there is any intention to allow you to handle such events from the DDLB.
