Tableview - column color disaply based on comparing other column on the tab

Hi,
Can any one give me some idea about how to compare two columns of table on IF_HTMLB_TABLEVIEW_ITERATORRENDER_CELL_START ?. I have to compare the column 3 with column 4 and display the color on column 3. I am trying to do that on IF_HTMLB_TABLEVIEW_ITERATORRENDER_CELL_START but this is not working out. Any suggestion ?.

Hi,
in IF_HTMLB_TABLEVIEW_ITERATOR~RENDER_CELL_START you only have the actual row in P_ROW_DATA_REF.
Either you make the the availabe as iterator's attribute when instantiating or you collect the row P_ROW_DATA_REF when in RENDER_CELL_START to a class attribute.

Sebastian

    Since installing LTR 5.4, which I've now upgraded to 5.6, I've encountered repeated slowness and malfunctions in operations, especially when using the Compare View function and the Tab key to open and close the right and left side panels.  Such problems never arose during two years of using LTR-4 and nothing else has changed on my computer.  I have a pretty simple system with only a few plug-ins, which are usually not in operation.  I have 12GB of RAM in my Windows 7 PC.  I could illustrate these problems with screen shots if you would tell me how to submit screen shots.  Otherwise I will try to describe the problems in words.
    The problem is clearly cumulative, growing worse as usage time passes.  Compare View feature gradually slows down and eventually seems to choke as my work session proceeds. If I Exit LTR and re-enter and start all over, things will work normally for maybe 30 minutes, but then the Compare View feature begins to become very slow to respond.   In a recent example with my screen full of thumbnails in Library mode I highlighted two images to compare. LTR started to open the Compare View screen by first having the top row of thumbnails disappear to be replaced by the "SELECT" and "CANDIDATE" words in their spaces  (but no images), but Compare View never succeeded in gaining control of the screen. After some seconds the top row of thumbnails reasserted its position and the Compare View windows disappeared. But LTR kept trying to bring them back. Again the top row of thumbnails would go away, Select and candidate would reappear, try again, and give up. This went on for at least 2-3 minutes before I tried to choose File and Exit, but even that did not initially want to respond. It doesn't like to accept other commands when it's trying to open Compare View. Finally it allowed me to exit.
    To experiment I created a new catalog of 1100 images.  After 30-40 minutes, the Compare View function began to operate very slowly. With left and right side panels visible and two thumbnails highlighted, hitting Compare View can take half a minute before the two mid-size  images open in their respective SELECT and CANDIDATE windows. When the side panels are open and two images are in the Select/Candidate spaces, hitting the Tab button to close the side panels produces a very delayed response--25-30 seconds to close them, a few more seconds to enlarge the two images to full size. To reverse the process (i.e., to recall the two side panels), hitting Tab would make the two sides of the screen go black for up to a minute, with no words visible. Eventually the info fields in the panels would open up.
    I also created a new user account and imported a folder of 160 images. After half an hour Compare View began mis-placing data.  (I have a screen shot to show this.)  CANDIDATE appears on the left side of SELECT, whereas it should be on the right. The accompanying camera exposure data appears almost entirely to the left of the mid-screen dividing line. Although the Candidate and Select headings were transposed, the image exposure data was not, but the data for the image on the right was almost entirely to the left of the line dividing the screen in two.
    Gurus in The Lightroom Forum have examined Task Manager data showing Processes running and Performance indicators and they see nothing wrong.  I could also send screen shots of this data.
    At this point, the only way I can process my images is to work 30-40 minutes and then shut down everything, exit, and re-start LTR.  This is not normal.  I hope you can find the cause, and then the solution.  If you would like to see my screen shots, tell me how to submit them.

  • Question on populating a field based on 2 other fields

    Hi,
    I am looking for a solution wherein I need to populate a field (say no of days) based on the other two fields selected by the user (say date from and date to). As soon as user selects the value on "date to" field, "no of days" field should be auto-populated as the value from "date to - date from". I have tried using setter and getter methods on all three field, set valuechangelistener on date to field, set auto submit to true and in the valuechangelistener event code, I am doing the calculations as mentioned in the below snippet.
    public void onChangeDateTo(ValueChangeEvent evt){
    this.dtDateTo= (java.util.Date)evt.getNewValue();
    this.dtDateFrom = (java.util.Date)getDateFrom();//This is the getter method for date from field
    System.out.println("onChangeDateTo "+ this.dtDateFrom+":"+this.dtDateTo);
    if (evt.getNewValue() != null){
    int intCalcNoOfDays = DateHelper.getBusinessDaysCount(this.getDateFrom(),this.getDateTo()) + 1;// my custom class which does the calculation
    String strCalcNoOfDays = String.valueOf(intCalcNoOfDays);
    System.out.println("strCalcNoOfDays "+strCalcNoOfDays);
    this.setNoOfDays(strCalcNoOfDays);
    I am getting NullPointerException while getting the value for date from (this.dtDateFrom). I have tried other approaches like attaching a binding to date from field, passing attributes etc but no luck. Can someone assist me in achieving this? Basically I need to populate one field automatically based on values entered on two other fields whenever tab event/user selects value on second field AND it shouldn't fire any other validations on the form (basically partial trigger).
    Thanks very much for the help in advance.
    Thanks

  • Functionality to dynamically sort tableview columns

    Has anybody successfully tried sorting columns of a tableview component by clicking on its header? I need to sort a column containing dates in mm/dd/yyyy format. Please share your hints or code. BR, Maulin

    Hi,
    Here is the code, no support included :-):
    import java.util.Collections;
    import java.util.Comparator;
    import java.util.Vector;
    import com.sapportals.htmlb.table.DefaultTableViewModel;
    public class SortTableModel extends DefaultTableViewModel implements Comparator {
         protected int currCol;
         protected Vector ascendCol; // this vector stores the state (ascending or descending) of each column
         protected Integer one = new Integer(1);
         protected Integer minusOne = new Integer(-1);
         public SortTableModel() {
              super();
              ascendCol = new Vector();
         public SortTableModel(Vector vec) {
              super(vec);
              ascendCol = new Vector();
         public SortTableModel(Vector vec, Vector vec2, int numberOfColumns) {
              super(vec, vec2);
              ascendCol = new Vector();
              setSortOrder(numberOfColumns);
    This method is the implementation of the Comparator interface.
    It is used for sorting the rows
         public int compare(Object v1, Object v2) {
              // the comparison is between 2 vectors, each representing a row
              // the comparison is done between 2 objects from the different rows that are in the column that is being sorted
              int ascending = ((Integer)ascendCol.get(currCol)).intValue();
              if (v1 == null && v2 == null) {
                   return 0;
              } else if (v2 == null) { // Define null less than everything.
                   return 1 * ascending;
              } else if (v1 == null) {
                   return -1 * ascending;
              Object o1 = ((Vector)v1).get(currCol);
              Object o2 = ((Vector)v2).get(currCol);
              // If both values are null, return 0.
              if (o1 == null && o2 == null) {
                   return 0;
              } else if (o2 == null) { // Define null less than everything.
                   return 1 * ascending;
              } else if (o1 == null) {
                   return -1 * ascending;
              if (o1 instanceof Number && o2 instanceof Number) {
                   Number n1 = (Number)o1;
                   double d1 = n1.doubleValue();
                   Number n2 = (Number)o2;
                   double d2 = n2.doubleValue();
                   if (d1 == d2) {
                        return 0;
                   } else if (d1 > d2) {
                        return 1 * ascending;
                   } else {
                        return -1 * ascending;
              } else if (o1 instanceof Boolean && o2 instanceof Boolean) {
                   Boolean bool1 = (Boolean)o1;
                   boolean b1 = bool1.booleanValue();
                   Boolean bool2 = (Boolean)o2;
                   boolean b2 = bool2.booleanValue();
                   if (b1 == b2) {
                        return 0;
                   } else if (b1) {
                        return 1 * ascending;
                   } else {
                        return -1 * ascending;
              } else {
                   // default case
                   if (o1 instanceof Comparable && o2 instanceof Comparable) {
                        Comparable c1 = (Comparable)o1;
                        Comparable c2 = (Comparable)o2; // superflous cast, no need for it!
                        try {
                             return c1.compareTo(c2) * ascending;
                        } catch (ClassCastException cce) {
                             // forget it... we'll deal with them like 2 normal objects below.
                   String s1 = o1.toString();
                   String s2 = o2.toString();
                   return s1.compareTo(s2) * ascending;
    This method sorts the rows using Java's Collections class.
    After sorting, it changes the state of the column -
    if the column was ascending, its new state is descending, and vice versa.
         public void sort() {
              Collections.sort(dataVector, this);
              Integer val = (Integer)ascendCol.get(currCol);
              ascendCol.remove(currCol);
              if (val.equals(one)) // change the state of the column
                   ascendCol.add(currCol, minusOne);
              else
                   ascendCol.add(currCol, one);
         public void sortByColumn(int column) {
              this.currCol = column;
              sort();
         public void setSortOrder(int numberOfColumns) {
              for (int i = 0; i < numberOfColumns; i++) {
                   ascendCol.add(one);

  • Data of column datatype CLOB is moved to other columns of the same table

    Hi all,
    I have an issue with the tables having a CLOB datatype field.
    When executing a simple query on a table with a column of type CLOB it returns error [POL-2403] value too large for column.
    SQL> desc od_stock_nbcst_notes;
    Name Null? Type
    OD_STOCKID N NUMBER
    NBC_SERVICETYPE N VARCHAR(40)
    LANGUAGECODE N VARCHAR(8)
    AU_USERIDINS Y NUMBER
    INSERTDATE Y DATE
    AU_USERIDUPD Y NUMBER
    MODIFYDATE Y DATE
    VERSION Y SMALLINT(4)
    DBUSERINS Y VARCHAR(120)
    DBUSERUPD Y VARCHAR(120)
    TEXT Y CLOB(2000000000)
    NBC_PROVIDERCODE N VARCHAR(40)
    SQL> select * from od_stock_nbcst_notes;
    [POL-2403] value too large for column
    Checking deeply, some of the rows have got the data of the CLOB column moved in another column of the table.
    When doing select length(nbc_providercode) the length is bigger than the datatype of the field (varchar(40)).
    When doing substr(nbc_providercode,1,40) to see the content of the field, a portion of the Clob data is retrieved.
    SQL> select max(length(nbc_providercode)) from od_stock_nbcst_notes;
    MAX(LENGTH(NBC_PROVIDERCODE))
    162
    Choosing one random record, this is the stored information.
    SQL> select length(nbc_providerCode), text from od_stock_nbcst_notes where length(nbc_providerCode)=52;
    LENGTH(NBC_PROVIDERCODE) | TEXT
    -------------------------+-----------
    52 | poucos me
    SQL> select nbc_providerCode from od_stock_nbcst_notes where length(nbc_providerCode)=52;
    [POL-2403] value too large for column
    SQL> select substr(nbc_providercode,1,40) from od_stock_nbcst_notes where length(nbc_providercode)=52 ;
    SUBSTR(NBC_PROVIDERCODE
    Aproveite e deixe o seu carro no parque
    The content of the field is part of the content of the field text (datatype CLOB, containts an XML)!!!
    The right content of the field must be 'MTS' (retrieved from Central DB).
    The CLOB is being inserted into the Central DB, not into the Client ODB. Data is synchronized from CDB to ODB and the data is reaching the client in a wrong way.
    The issue can be recreated all the time in the same DB, but between different users the "corrupted" records are different.
    Any idea?

  • Radio group in classic report based on another column on the same row.

    Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.1.0 - 64bit Production
    Application Express 4.1.0.00.32
    How can I have a radio group column based on an LOV utilizing another column on the same row of the report?
    For example: what if I had a survey application and depending on the likert scale that was assigned to the question there would be different possible answer choices:
    Question 1 on row 1 of the report: The class instructor was friendly?
    Likert scale choice is Agreement.
    Choices on Radio Group: Strongly Agree, Agree, Undecided, Strongly Disagree
    Question 2 on row 2 of the report: The class offered good materials?
    Likert scale choice is Quality.
    Choices on Radio Group: Excellent, Below Average, Average, Above Average, Excellent
    The radio group can change per row depending on the Likert scale assigned to the question which is assigned to a different column on the row.
    Can LOV utilize the column? :
    SELECT scale_text
    FROM scale_choices
    WHERE scale_category_choice_id = 2 <<= this would be the Likert scale identifier

  • When creating a "lookup" column be able to display not only one column from the other list, but additional columns

    With the lookup technique, it is possible to select an item from another list and display one column of this item
    It is obviously possible to create several lookup columns on the same list and therefore display several columns
    There’s a high risk of not selecting the same item and therefore have inconsistent columns
    The Requirement therefore consist of being able of displaying several columns of the same item from the other list, based on one unique selection
    Example:
    In list(x), define lookup column on list (y), column Title (possible today)
    Then define a “secondary” lookup column on same list, column Code
    The effect would be that when selecting an item from list (X), both Title and Code would show up consistently in 2 different columns of list (Y)
    All possible solutions are welcomed

    If you are using SharePoint 2010, you can retrieve additional columns when adding a Lookup. If you are using 2007, there is no direct OOTB way, but the following two posts provide potential work-arounds:

  • How to put custom check box in a tableview column

    Hi,
    I would like to put a custom checkbox in a tableview column for each row of the table.
    Such that when the user selects the rows and among those rows if for fews rows this checkbox is active, i need to do some special processing. how can i add a custom check box to a tableview column.
    Can anyone help me in this regard?
    Thanks and Regards,
    Kumar

    Hi,
    You can use the checkbox code within your tableview column:
    <htmlb:tableView id = ".."
    >
    <htmlb:tableViewColumn id = " "
    type = "USER"
    >
    <htmlb:checkBox id = ".."
    selected = " "
    />
    </htmlb:tableViewColumn>
    </htmlb:tableView>
    I hope it helps.
    regards,
    Rohit

    Also, in these columns displayed I want to make the key columns of SFLIGHT as non editable and the rest of the columns in SFLIGHT editiable. Can you please kindly share the code to implement this.

  • TableView: column header text alignment?

    How can I change the text alignment of a TableView column caption/header? I'd like some of my column headers to be right aligned for example?
    It works for regular table cells when I change f.i. the css of the custom DataFX MoneyTableCell cell:
    .money-cell {
       -fx-alignment: TOP_RIGHT;
    }but it won't work for the ".table-view .column-header" style of the standard TableView:
    .table-view .column-header,
    .table-view .filler,
    .table-view .column-drag-header {
        -fx-alignment: TOP_RIGHT;
    }

    Just after raising this I realised the problem is that the text is a label on top of the header. You can right align by using the following selector:
    .table-view .column-header .label {
        -fx-alignment: TOP_RIGHT;
    }

  • Change LOV of column in view, based on values of another LOV of column in the same view

    Hi,
    I am using Jdeveloper 11.1.1.5.
    I have a scenario in which I have two columns in the view. column names are:
    1- Column A
    2- Column B
                        both the columns have LOV's
    LOV in column A contains values as: 1, 2. Now, when I select the value 1 in column A, In the column B, an LOV named ABC should be shown. and when I select value 2 from LOV in column A,  LOV named XYZ should be shown in column B.
    how can I do that?
    thanks in advance (^.^).

    Use onchange attribute of the first drop-down. On change, submit the form. On server side, fetch the values for second drop-down based on the value selected for the first drop-down.

  • DataGrid: Modify Foreground Cell Color A Based on Content Of Cell B - Is it possible?

    Hi there!
    In this forum we can found two nice thread about datagrid format:
    Modifying background color of datagrid based on data in grid
    Change the RowBackground Color of Datagrid
    You can also find a great example here:
    LightSwitch control colors of DataGrid rows and other UI elements
    All the examples are about Format Cell A based on its content. A need an example where Cell A are formated based on Cell B content.
    Is it possible do it?
    Best regards,
    Ciro

    Hi!
    Have you any success in implementing row/cell coloring?
    Maybe I'll sound little pessimistic, but I just lost 3 days getting something similar to work.. LS is just not up to task.. Now I'm not surprised that it went on the road it went (abandoned).. While the idea is great, everything else is just -> meh..
    (and i'm here all the way from beta 1)..
    I have simple "is_active" computed property (but I feel it's the same with properties from related tables) and need to color rows accordingly: green - active, red - inactive.. It works inconsistently.. If you have some complex screen you need to
    find hook points where you could inject methods to tell datagrid to refresh layout (like "datagrid.OnApplyTemplate"), or just "collection.refresh()".. On every screen I used it there is some "catch".. I've
    tried almost everything I could find on net, Dave's example(s), Otis example, some already aged similar SL posts..  tried to connect tables in various combination
    like 0..1 -> 1.. I have even converted my tables logic to RIA services where main table does not have computed properties but whole table is returned with "real" properties from RIA service (so "is_active" is computed before arriving
    to client).. Still same stupidities, inconsistency, "loading_row" not being fired, not to mention troubles in plumbing all together between RIA tables and "real" tables...
    Something so "simple" shouldn't be so complicated to achieve.. If anyone have (kind of) solution I'd like to hear/read it cause right now this "LS thing" have big chance to fly trough my window together with my pc..

  • Htmlb tableview column width

    Hello
    I need to set the column width of tableview Columns. I have width information in number of char. Basically i know the Column data type length and column title length. and i have to set the width equal to maximum of above two.
    But in tableview Column, we can only set the width in pixel. And this option give different result on desktop computer and laptop.
    Please let me know if anyone faced this problem before. It is very urgent for me.
    Regards
    Saurabh Garg

    Hi Saurabh,
    Lets say you have 10 coulumns.....then keep the width of tableView as 100%...
    using 160% will make it bigger than the screen....and then set eaxch coulumn width as 10%.
    Also if you are using iterator or tableViewControltab ColoumnDefinitions, then use the wrapping property...This will wrap the text in multiple lines...provided there is a space in between....
    This should work...
    Thanks,
    Tatvagna.

  • How can I dynamically create symbols based on data in a database? For example: as a user selects an option, we want to create color swatch buttons in a certain area on the screen.

    We have all of our data in a Microsoft SQL server database and would like to load fabric options, and then color choices, based on this data. As fabrics are added, and/or color choices are updated, we would like Edge Animate to update automatically, without having to open the project and add/change options. Ultimately we would like to build an interactive designer that would then send all of the user's selections to us in an order. Is this possible?

    There is no like, but contains
    contains(LAST_NAME,'A')
