Target and Actual Lead time in MCP1 report

Dear Experts,
In MCP1 report, what is Target Lead Time and Actual Lead Time. How it is calculated?
Thanks in advance for your valuable replies.
Regards,
Jejesh

Hi,
                                                                                Target lead time
On the operation level, it is the time period between the scheduled
input date at the work center (target input) and the latest scheduled
    finish of the operation.
The target input date is calculated through the scheduled execution
    finish of the previous operation.
On the order level it is the time period between the scheduled start and
    the scheduled finish.
and
                                                                                Actual lead time
At operation level, the time between the input date at the work center
and the completion confirmation date (the total from queue time,
     execution time and move time).
When calculating, the input date is determined via the completion
confirmation date of the preceding operation.  The process-dependent
wait time of the preceeding operation is subtracted.
At order level, the time between the reported start date and the finish
date (the total from execution times and transit times of the operations
as well as the order floats before and after production).

Rajesh

Is there any standard tcode for bom wise target and actual cost as well as qty at line item level for the month.
there is one tcode s_alr_87013127 but user has to double click in order to get line item details.
I want to see line item wise breakup/bom wise target and cost cost as well as qty.

    Hi Kashif,
    Thanks for your response.
We havent run the cmclean.sql script. We manually clean the OPP process(System process) and then deactivate and activate it.Now OPP is running fine. But the actuall and target prcess are not same. actuall process is 4 and target process is 5.In workshift the no of process for opp is 5.

  • Can I get supplier actual lead time in system?

can I get supplier actual lead time in system?

suppose if oyu have created PO and as per your inforecord lead tine 15days but you really want the actula time based on the vendor promice
either you have to activate the ASN functionality or order acknowledge function
to do that when you create PO go to confirmation tab and select the order ack and/or shipping notification and make conf reqd filed checked that means prior to GR you need confirmation from vendor about the date, and qty atleast
you can receive the confirmation via EDI also but in this case you and vendor both should EDI funcitonality
once oyu receive the confirmation then you have to createin the system using VL31N tcode then it will be populated in your PO.

  • Reg: lot size and replenishment lead time

    1. please explain about lot size and replenishment lead time.
    2. please also explain about consumption based planing and in steps explain how to perform manual and automatic reorder point(transc code please)

You use the lot-sizing procedure to determine how the system is to calculate the reorder quantity in the planning run.
A lot size defining the lot-sizing procedure is assigned to every material master record applicable to materials planning.
The lot size is defined in Customizing by the combination of the lot-sizing procedure and the lot-sizing indicator.
Three procedures for lot sizing are available:
    o  static lot-sizing procedures
    o  period lot-sizing procedures
    o  optimizing lot-sizing procedures
You use the lot-size indicator to define the procedure.
The following parameters are also available for controlling the lot-sizing procedure:
    o  Short-term and long-term lot size
You can split the lot-sizing procedure into a short-term and a long-term period. This means that you can select one lot-sizing procedure in the near future and a different one in the distant future.
You define the periods in the section of the screen entitled "End of the short-term period/start of the long-term period".
The valid from date of the long-term lot size area is defined via:
       -  a periodicity
       -  a number of periods
The beginning of the long-term period is calculated by taking today's date and adding the number of periods in the future; the long-term planning period then starts on the next complete period.
       Note
For materials that are planned using the short and long-term lot size,
it is recommended that you define a maximum MRP period. Defining the
MRP period has the effect that materials after a certain period are
included in planning even if no changes relevant to the planning run
have occurred. This avoids a situation where order proposals created
with the long-term lot size move into the short-term period because no
changes relevant to MRP have occurred for the material.
You define the maximum MRP period in the step, "Define maximum MRP
period". A material that is planned on a regular basis should also be
provided with an MRP type that contains the indicator for regular MRP.
    o  Scheduling indicator
For period lot sizes, you can use the indicator for scheduling to
       determine whether the availability date;
o  is to be set to the first requirements date in the period
o  or is to be set to the beginning of the period
o  is to be set to the end of the period
o  or whether the period start represents the beginning of the planned
order and the period end represents the availability date (repetitive
    manufacturing)
      Interpretation of the delivery times
For the lot-sizing procedure, you can also define whether the period
start is to be interpreted as the delivery date or as the availability
date using the indicator, "interpretation of the calendar times".
      NOTE
The indicators, Scheduling and Interpr.deliv.times are mutually
      exclusive.
      Indicator for the splitting quota
For the quota arrangements, you can determine whether the requirements
quantities are to be distributed to several items, that is, whether
they are to be split. With the splitting quota arrangement,
requirement quantities are not simply allocated to the smallest quota
rating. Instead, they are distributed among various sources using the
      following formula:
Quantity for source of supply X = Quota of source X * reqmts quantity
    Sum of all quotas
      Overlapping indicator
The overlapping indicator along with the cycle time in the material
master record are used to split the planned orders into several
partial quantities whereby the in-house production time overlaps by
      the cycle time.
      Lot-sizing procedure for make-to-order production
In make-to-order production, you can use the indicator, Lot size for
      make-to-order production to determine whether,
the order quantity is to be calculated using the exact lot size
the order quantity is to be calculated using the exact lot size and
the system is also to take the rounding quantity or the minimum and
      maximum lot size into account
the order quantity is to be calculated using the lot-sizing procedure
      defined for the short-term area
      Maximum stock level variant
The system only displays the Maximum stock level variant field in the
lot-sizing procedure, Replenishing to maximum stock level. The
indicator only has an effect in connection with reorder point planning
taking external requirements into account and in connection with
material requirements planning and controls how the system calculates
      lot sizes.

  • Process Order Cost Analysis Target and Actual Quantity Missing

This is related to Process order costing .
Issue : Before activating  Material Update field in Costing view 1 of Material master , we have created few process orders and Delivered .
Hence cost analysis shows Actual and target cost fields  Empty in COST ANALYSIS  report of  order  . After Updating field in Material master , New Process orders are calculated with Actual and Target cost .
Solution needed : How to do Actual and Target cost estimation back in cost analysis report  for old process orders which are created before Material Update field ?

You have deleted the Component in the BoM.
Then you have created a production order, check if the start date of this order is after the date change in the BoM..... Can be that the component stills exists in the order ? Have you tried deleting the compoent in the order BoM ?

  • Batch and replenishment lead time

    Hi,
I read the following statement in SAP help portal and am confused.
Please help explain with an example.
The replenishment lead time should not be considered in the dynamic availability check for batches, since batches are not reproducible
Question: Why not? basically not understand above statement.
    thanks
    tuff

Since a batch is created on a given date at a given time, and it has specific charactreristics and values, you cannot make anymore of that particular batch.  The only available qty of a specific batch is what you have available in actual inventory.  Therefor no replenishment lead time is to be considered because you can't replenish a batch.
You can use replenishment lead time in say ATP because that will tell you how long it takes to make a batch of material that meets the general spec of the material.
When a material is not batch managed you can use replenishment lead time in the availability check if you want since you can make more material to meet the customers requirement, (i.e. the general material spec).

  • ASCP Yield and Resource Lead Times

    Hi,
I am working on Advanced supply Chain Planning on R12. Both ERP Source and Planning are on different instances. We are also using Oracle Shop Floor Management. In the Network Routings we have included a lead time resources at step 10, 20, 30. The resources are as follows:
These resources are defined as 'Machine'
Resource for operation 10: ASSY-LT, 112 hours, Schedule 'yes'
Resource for operation 20: TEST-LT, 64 hours, Schedule 'yes'
Resource for operation 30: PACK-LT, 48 hours, Schedule 'yes'
We also have only one shift with 8 hours. The resources are not available for 24 hours.
We also have yield at each of the above operations.
Lead time rollup calculates 28 days for the item correctly.
We are encountering a problem with ASCP Plan. The start dates and yield calculations using constrained plan with Enforce Demand Due Dates constraint seems problematic. If we check 'Calculate Resource Requiremnents' option, the plan calculates yield but the lead time gets reduecd by one third and start and completion dates for a planned order (and ATP etc.) are not accurate.
If we uncheck 'Calculate Resource Requiremnents'option in the plan, lead times are accurate but plan does not calculate yield.
We are not sure what is causing the problem.
Does anybody know what options or profiles control this behaviour?
    Your help is highly appreciated.
    Thanks.
    Vijay

    Hi Vijay,
important for your lead time calculation is the setup of the calendar and shifts and what shifts are assigned to the resource.
You say you do not have enabled the 'Available 24h' option. We are also using leadtime resources in certain cases, for example LT for Assembly. But in these cases we enable the 24H option. Next to this we set the Resource capacity to 'unlimited' by setting units to a very high number (1000 etc.) on resource level, to prevent that the system gets into capacity conflicts here.
And the yield calculation indeed should be quite independent of the leadtime resource.
    best regards,
    David.

  • Report execution start and end date/time

    Hi All,
How can one find execution start and end date/times for all reports? Basically I am looking to see what reports were run on a day, when and how long it took for each to complete.
    Thank you.
    Denis

    Hi,
The "eul5_batch_reports" holds the data about the scheduled report and if you don't have any so you will not have any data.
    Take a look at "EUL5_QPP_STATS"
    for example:
    select
    qpp.qs_doc_name,
    qpp.qs_doc_details,
    fu.user_name Ran_by,
    qpp.qs_created_date Start_run,
    qpp.qs_doc_owner Doc_owner,
    qpp.qs_num_rows rows_fetch,
    qpp.qs_est_elap_time estimated_time,
    qpp.qs_act_elap_time Run_time,
    qpp.qs_act_cpu_time Cpu_time
    from eul_us.EUL5_QPP_STATS qpp,
    fnd_user fu
    where substr(qpp.qs_created_by,2,10)=fu.user_id
    order by qs_created_date

  • Target Cost and Actual Cost

    Hi All,
When is the target cost and actual cost gets populated and from where does the data comes from liek labour, machine, overhead cost comes?
    Thanks in advance

    Dear Friend,
speaking from controlling point of view, target and actual costs will be flown from "costing variant planned" and "costing variant actual" respectively. In above mentioned varinats, whats the process has to be followed to calculate  material costs, activty costs, overhead costs etc will be defined. These variants will be assigned in order type dependent parameters OPL8.
Target Costs - In standard cost estimate(ck11n),target cost will be calculated  in the following way
-material cost from material master and BOM
                              - activity costs from routing( for this u need to plan the activity costs in KP26)
                              - other costs from the definitions of planned costing variant.
                       - after running the standard cost estimate,u need to mark n release(ck24).
Actual Costs - material costs frm goods issues (via goods mvmts thru MBIA,MB1B etc) against
                          production/process order.
                              - activity costs(as per the price u plannned in KP26)through  operation confirmation in
                                COR6N/CO11N.
                              - any other costs like overheads, cost center issues etc as per the process defined
                                in 'actual costing variant'.
Hope this will clear your doubt.
    Rams.

  • Target cost = Actual cost

    hello,
in our MTO, the target costs vs actual cost story runs smoothly
in our make to stock process however, the target cost = actual costs.
Where is the steering for this? can it be changed?
    kr
    Nico

In our deployment we use this feature (Target cost) and it does not represent actual costs.  Our OKV6 screen shows the control costs are actual, but target is from Current Std Cost Estimate.  It is my understanding that this approach makes the Target costs show the received parts in make-to-stock at standard costs.  This is useful when your order is set to make more or less than what was actually received.  The Plan will show the planned quantities at standard.  Imagine you create a job to make 100 units, but only receive 70 units and TECO the order short.  The Target would show the plan quantities times 70% rather than the entire planned values to make 100 units.  Each view (Plan, Target and Actual) have their own use and benefit.

Please help. This is very important.
    Thanks,
    Laura

    Hi Laura,
The RLT can be set in the Masters Materials.MMR and Also in the Documnet Type Configuration.
But as per SAP standard Procedure the Prority will be the document type.
That means the RLT given in the Order document will overseed the RLT given in the MMR.
Go to material master and select MRP3 view. There see what is maintained for "Strategy group". Now go to OVZG, select this Requirement Class and tick the field "Rq" against this.
Now go to OVZH, select your Requirement Type and ensure that the above Requirement Class is assigned to your Requirement Type.
Now create a sale order and check in MD04.
    Hope ethis helps u..

  • Different Lead times for supplier in MRP calculation

    Dear All,
We have different suppliers for a material. Different suppliers have different lead times and Min.lot size. Our requirement is when we run MRP system should suggest Pld.Order quantity for the supplier and also take lead time accordingly. I have done splits for suppliers by using Quata arrangement but system is only taking planned delivery time from material master record.
I also defined info records for the vendor and define lead time but still system is taking Pld delivery time from materials master.
    Please help

    Hi,
Go to OPPQ, enter your plant then click on External Procurement, there tick the check box Scheduling: Info Rec / Agreement.
This will ensure that the PDT is read from info-record if it exists.
    Hope it clarifies.
