Tax calculation in CRM using R/3 pricing procedure

Hello Experts
We are using R/3 pricing procedure to calculate list prices in CRM.
The condition record for Taxes are maintained for condition type UTXJ in SD which is calling for tax procedure TAXUSJ and condition type JR1.
The records are maintained in FTXP.  This is the SAP Standard way of maintaining taxes if external tax software is not used.
We have downloaded the condition records and condition types in CRM.  The tables have all the required records downloaded from R/3.
When creating an order in Webshop the tax is not getting calculated.
The pricing analysis shows that the condition record for UTXJ condtion type is met, but it is not showing the tax maintained for condition type JR1.
Have we missed any settings here?
If we are using R/3 billling does the TTE needs to be activated for calculating taxes in the webshop?
If TTE needed to be used for calculating taxes, what are the settings needed to be configured?
Thanks in advance for the valuable advice.
Sastri

Hi Sastri,
I am facing this problem with TAX Condition Records: Pricing error: Mandatory condition MWST is missing. I am using a R/3 pricing procedure correctly downloaded to CRM.
You say that you have downloaded the condition records and condition types in CRM. SAP Library says 'Prerrequisites: You have downloaded the tax condition records from SAP ECC'.
I don't know If my problem is caused because I haven't downloaded any Tax Condition Records. The fact is that I cannot determine which one is the Condition Object to download in R3AS.
I would really appreciate if you or anyone could tell me which object you did use.
thanks in advance,
Pablo

  • Mandatory to Use Std CIN Pricing Procedures?

    Hai All,
CIN, we have few std pricing procedures such as JINEXP,JINFACT etc..,
is it mandatory to use the same pricing procedures by copying-
or we can create our own without copying existing- bcoz in CIN PP- we wont have req'd cond types
is it mandatory to have ED total cond types in our SD pricing procedure?
just need a confirmation-  as am already using the my own SD PP

Pricing Procedure datas are  dependent with some 25 to 30 entries and it is always recommended to copy the standard so that you need not worry about these dependent areas.
On the other hand, If you are creating on your own without copying the standard, then you should double ensure that you have configured / assigned all those dependent entries also as otherwise, due to some reason or the other, while creating SD documents, you will face various issues and you cannot detect the root cause and you have to break your head unnecessarily which can be avoided.

  • Tax Condition type : Account keys in SD Pricing procedure .

    Dear SAP Gurus,
In the configuration of the taxes (Service, Ecess & H & Ecess)
The tax codes are defiined and the condition type JXX has been defined with the account keys .
Then the taxes are automatically posted to the accounts .
But in the SD pricing procedue for the same condition type the account key defined is EXD .
But where is this account key going to post the value of the condition type JXX ..
Please explain the use of the account key in the Tax Conditon types in the pricing procedure.
    regards,
    Amlan Sarkar.

    Hi,
The account keys ERL , ERS, DIFF which are related to revenue and sales deduction in your pricing procedure are defined in transaction VKOA. Here the account key, chart of accounts, your sales organization and G/L accnt combination are maintained.
Whereas all the tax codes G/L accounts get picked from transaction OB40 , So in your pricing procedure where ever you see tax account keys, make sure you go to OB40, input your tax code and then you will see all the G/L accounts against each respective account key. This is nothing but the calculation of tax on sales / purchases.
Hope this will solve your query.
If it does, please dont forget to reward points for contribution.

  • Deductible tax value is not displaying in MM pricing procedure

    Dear Team,
We are using the TAXINN condition for ED,VAT, CST and ST.
ED and CST are the Non-deductible taxes. We are taking the input credit for other two conditions.
All these tax values are correctly displaying in "Invoice tab-Tax". From these, non deductible tax values (ED & CST) are displaying in MM pricing procedure in NAVS condition type. But the deductible tax values (VAT & ST) are not displaying in MM pricing procedure. JEXS condition is also available in MM pricing procedure
Could you pl provide the suitable solution to display these values in MM pricing procedure.

  • Tax calculation in Pricing Procedure

    Hi Guys,
I have a pricing procedure setup to be modified for calculation of surcharge. The current pricing procedure calculates surcharge based on total price. Needs to change it to calculate on Unit price. How to achieve this?
    Current Setup
Price    Unit Price      Qty.    Net Price
    PR00       655.55          5       3277.75
    ZSUR = 3277.75*12/100 = 393.33
    Required setup
Price    Unit Price  Qty.    Net Price
    PR00       655.55          5       3275
    ZSUR = 655*12/100 = 78.666 = 78.67
Then this should be multiplied with the qty. 78.67*5 = 393.35
    How to achieve this.
    Thanks

I solved this same issue by doing the following.
When determining ZSUR, create a Condition formula for alternative calculation type in VOFM.
calculate the 12% off of the PR00 each price and round this result to 2 decimals. In your example you would get .12 * 655.55 = 78.666 commercial rounded to 78.67, then multiply this rounded result with qty to get your extended amount 78.67 * 5 = 393.35 and put the result in XKWERT for ZSUR.
With this type of calcualtion you will always get consistant pricing regardless of qty. When you are finished with your formula assign it within config of the pricing procedure on your ZSUR
    line. Hope this helps.
When calculating .12 * 655.55 , create a working data field and do a 'like' to netpr in your formula:
eg DATA: ZZEA LIKE KOMP-NETPR. ( netpr is curr dec 2)
when calculating zzea = .12 * 655.55 since the field is defined as 2 decimal, commercial rounding will be the default calculation(round up if >= .005, down if < .005). So in your example 78.666 = 78.67
Code looks like(had to deal with floating decimals):
    DATA: ZZEA LIKE KOMP-NETPR.
    ZZEA = KOMP-NETPR * XKOMV-KBETR / 100000.
    XKWERT = ZZEA * KOMP-MGAME / 1000.

  • Wrong tax calculation for minimum sales order scenario

Hi all! We are trying to use minimum sales order value for our sales order processing in CRM. The sales order value and the calculated tax looks fine when the sales order is created. Eg.
    Quantity = 10
    PR00   $4 each    Total value of $40
    AMIW  $50
    AMIZ   $10
    MWST $6.25 (tax of 12.5%)
When we create the billing document in CRM, the net value is shown as $50. However, when we look at the Conditions, the tax is calculated based on a tax base value of $100 and hence ended up with $12.50.
    Quantity = 10
    PR00   $4 each    Total value of $40
    AMIW  $50
    AMIZ   $10
    0TTE   $0
    MWST $12.5 (tax of 12.5%)
Does anyone know what I might have missed out that would cause this problem?
Any comments would be very much appreciated.
    Cheers!
    SF

    Hi Devi,
If you want to do the billing in CRM, then you need to use the billing pricing procedure in CRM. Below is the list of the configurations I usually do:
    1. Create new transaction type if needed
    2. Create new item catagory if needed
    3. Assign item category to transaction type if 1&2 is created
    4. Create new document pricing procedure
    5. Assign pricing procedure to sales organisation and new document pricing procedure
    6. Create new billing type if required
    7. Creat new billing category if required
    8. Assign billing item category
    9. Assign revenue account for sales transactions
    10. Assign accounting document type to billing type
    11. Create new sales order type in R3 if 1 is done
    12. Create new item category in R3 if 1 is done
    13. Make sure that item category is assigned to the new sales order type in R3
    14. Create delivery item category in R3. This has to be the same item category as that in the sales order as the system copies the item category of the sales item into the delivery.
    Hope that helps.

  • Tax code linked with Pricing procedure

    Hi,
How the tax code have been linked with the pricing procedure? Please explain the inter-releationship between TAXINJ and Pricing proceure ? Thanks in advance.
    BK

    Hi,
You have asked two questions in your response, I will answer these seperately.
<i>How the tax code has been linked for the CENVAT creditable items</i>
For Cenvat creditable items, you will have to define tax codes that have values  corresponding to condition types JIP5, JIP6, JIP7, JIP8, JIP8 (in FTXP). Respective G/L accounts will have to be assigned against the Accounting keys by the Finance team. These tax codes can then be used in PO.
<i>How these two pricing procedures have been incorporated in SAP and which one will take precedency</i>
Net price calculated from the pricing procedure you define (which starts with Gross price and includes Discounts and Surchages) is passed on as the Base Amount to TAXINJ. Applicable taxes are calculated on this and the calculated value is passed on to your pricing procedure through the condition types NAVS/NAVM. You should add NAVS / NAMV after the net is calculated. This when added to the delivery costs (freight, forwarding charges) will give you the effective value.
    Hope this answers your queries.

  • Relation between Tax procedure and Pricing procedure

    Dear All,
I would like to get more clarity on Tax procedure, Pricing procedure.
    a) Why do we have Tax procedure and assigned to Country?
    b) If the tax procedure has been created and assigned to Country-IN (in FI module), then why do we need to create pricing procedure with same condition type for purchasing in MM module?  We are even creating lot of pricing procedure for Sales in SD module.
    Regards
    Manivannan R

    Hi
    Tax
During SD document transactions, tax calculation procedure TAXUSX is only relevant to determine the tax liability accounts for output sales tax. Notice that in pricing procedure RVAXUS, the condition types XR1 - XR6 carry the tax rates and tax amounts - resulted from the external tax system calculation - which is posted to tax G/L accounts. However, the tax accounts are not specified in the pricing procedure but rather in the tax calculation procedure.
Tax codes are the link between pricing procedure and tax calculation procedure.
    Pricing
The primary job of a pricing procedure is to define a group of condition types in a particular sequence. The pricing procedure also determines:
    Which sub-totals appear during pricing
To what extent pricing can be processed manually
Which method the system uses to calculate percentage discounts and surcharges
Which requirements for a particular condition type must be fulfilled before the system takes the condition into account
    Example
    Example of a Pricing Procedure
If a sales department processes sales orders for a variety of foreign customers, the department can group the customers by country or region. A pricing procedure can then be defined for each group of customers. Each procedure can include condition types that determine, for example, country-specific taxes. In sales order processing, you can specify pricing procedures for specific customers and for sales document types. The system automatically determines which procedure to use.
Pricing Procedures in the R/3 System
The standard system contains pre-defined pricing procedures, which contain frequently used condition types along with their corresponding access sequences. You can, of course, modify these procedures or create your own from scratch.
    Creating and Maintaining Pricing Procedures
You create or maintain pricing procedures in Customizing for Sales. For more information on creating pricing procedures, see the online Implementation Guide for Sales and Distribution.
To reach the pricing procedure screen from SD Customizing:
       1. Choose Basic Functions
       2. ® Pricing ® Pricing control ® Define and assign pricing procedures.Select the transaction that you want to execute.

  • TAX Calculation in Opportunity

    HI,
In my project all the billing related activites happens in SAP ECC. We are not able to calculated tax in Opportunity. Is it possible to calculate tax in opportunity.
If yes help me with steps to configure.
    With regards,
    Selvam t

    Hello,
For tax calculation we would need the destination country information and this information would come from the ship-to party.
In the case of an opportunity, the sold-to party and the ship-to party information is not available as the involved business partner would be a sales prospect (or interested party). Even if we calculate tax at this level, it would only be a tax proposition (as the final sales order could have a different ship-to partner).
During opportunity creation it does not make sense to calculate taxes and so if tax conditions are made mandatory in pricing procedure it will give error.
Now what is the solution ?
For opportunity, a separate pricing procedure without tax calculation should be used and TAX will be anyway calculated during sales order creation.
    Best regards,
    Maggie

  • Tax calculation: Fields in TTE

Hi all, I have a nice one here.
    Backgound:
We are implementing a CRM 5.0 Stand alone order-entry with Middleware connection to SAP FI. TTE is working well, we find all the taxes we need, as long the TTE looks at attributes in the masterdata (Products, Business Partner).
    Problem:
Now the customer wants to overrule some tax findings in the case of an order cancellation (we talk about an airline here ;).
In our prozess analysis we defined new transactiontype (cancellation order), which is a follow-up document of a standard order. Now, this means that all masterdata remain the same and the TTE calculates the same parameters (Tax rates, Tax IDs, etc.).
Since we dont want to double our products, we need a controlling attribute in the order document to tell the TTE that something has changed (e.g. an tax event).
For us the TTE seems to have a very limited context, but maybe we have overseen some feature, since it is relatively new to us.
All help is appreciated and Thanks in advance.

  • Tax Code & Pricing Procedure

Can anyone brief out how the condition types are being picked from tax code as well as pricing procedure...what is the difference??

    Dear Mahesh,
The rates for taxes are picked up from TAX code which is clubbing of the condition types from Tax procedure (Taxinj or Taxinn). Now the tax values calculated are carried over to the MM pricing procedure usually with the condition type NAVS. This you can check under the conditions tab in the PO.
All other pricing elements like discounts, freight etc can be handled using the MM pricing procedure conditions and the taxes like excise, VAT, CST, Service tax etc using the tax procedure.
    I hope this clarifies.
    Regards,
    Sid

  • Problem in pricing procedure calculation

    Hi,
I configure pricing procedure and it works in the regular sales order are 1100/20/20 correctly and shows the correct calculation but in the third party sales order, I use the same pricing procedure in the sales area 1100/50/20 and the system shows the net value but it does not calculate total price and total price is zero.
So I want to know that sales area and item category has relation with pricing procedure or not?
and How I can fix it?
    thaks,

    Hi,
There is no direct link between Sales area and item category.
You must be knowing that pricing proc. is determined by Sales Area + Cust. pricing proc + Doc. pricing proc.
So, kindly check in OVKK if the correct pricing proc. is maintained or not.
Then, check in VK12 / VK13 for your condition type if you have entered correct organizational elements like sales org / distribution channel
Kindly check this and post your feedback
    regards,

  • Calculation of Output VAT in Russia (MWST, MWR1) / pricing procedure RVAARU

When trying to find an SAP template for a Russian pricing procedure I got three different results for pricing procedure "RVAARU standard - Russia":
    1. IDES calculates MWST and MWS1 mandatory plus some further manual MWR* conditions.
    2. SAP standard provides MWST and MWS1 as mandatory and none of those MWR* conditions.
    3. SAP standard after implementing the "SAP Russian add-on" shows no MWST at all (!!), but MWS1 mandatory and even more manual MWR* conditions, one of which - MWR1 - is suddenly called "Output tax (VAT)".
Which of the three pricing procedures is correct?
I had assumed the Russian add-on provides all necessary entries for Russia, but can it be true that a legal VAT tax line is NOT calculated automatically but maintained as manual condition? If so, do I still have to maintain condition records in order to determine the correct tax code for the percentage and the FI posting?
And no MWST at all, although in customer and material master the tax classification is still determined by MWST?
Who has experience with Russian calculation procedures in SAP and could give me some hints?
    Thanks
    Christine

    hi
In pricing procedure MWST is a tax category.this tax categort reflected in both masters. this tax category linked to the tax code. for the tax category , u will maintain the condition records.
for eg. country, region ,cus tax classification ,material tax classification and tax code
so this combination linked to tax code ( for eg if u will maintain  A1 Taxcode means ) A1 for VAT Same % Tax code.the system automatically values take from tax code.

  • Service Tax Calculation for Condition Types

    Dear Experts,
In an Import Purchase Order for Coal, along with the Basic Price of the Coal, the following Conditions are also entered, in the Condition Types maintained in the Import Pricing Schema
    -        Water front royalty
    -          Port Dues
    -          Berth Hire Charges
    -          Port terminal charges
    -          Surveyor charges
Each of these conditions may have a separate Vendor, hence the Purchase Order creator will select each condition and assign the required vendor.
Each of these conditions is subject to Service Tax, Educational Cess and Higher Secondary Educational Cess, the User want that separate service tax calculation be made available in the pricing schema for these individual conditions and the relevant vendor be assigned to these condition.  the service tax on individual conditions be paid to the relevant vendor along with the basic value for the condition.
Separate Condition Types (15 nos.) for each of the above conditions for Service Tax, Educational Cess and Higher Secondary Educational Cess can be prepared and added in the pricing schema, the user will have to enter the percentages in the relevant conditions.
The user wants that the Service Tax be automatically calculated for these conditions, instead of manually entering the same. Please guide how can this be achieved.
    Thanks in advance.
    AJ

    Hi,
For this you have to maintain the all your charges in your pricing procedure along with each charge you have to maintain 3 condition types for service and chesses.
    Ex:
step counter cond.type des.                   from                 to
    1 1 P000 Gross Price
    1 2 P001 Gross Price
    25 0 JM00 Water front royalty                 1
    26 0 ser1 service                                  25
    27 0 edu1 educationcess                      26
    28 0 edu2 se.edu.cess ;                        26
    29 0 jm01 Port Dues                                1
    30 0 ser1 service                                   29
    31 0 edu1 educationcess                       30
    32 0 edu2 se.edu.cess                           30
like this you have to built your pricing procedure in a m/08. after that for you want the service tax automatically so for that you have to put the accesses sequence in you service condition types (ser, edu1,edu2).in m/06.
After that you have to maintain info record for that material and import vendor. in me11 in that in condition tab you have to maintain percentage for ser, edu1, edu2 . the system will  calculate the service charges automatically.
    Thanking you,
