Taxonomies : automatic folder and query creation
Hi all,
Is it possible to create KM Foders on a specific path in Taxonomies folder programatically ?
I am able to create a folder in Documents but not sure how to create it in Taxonomies ? Will appreciate and reward relevant info.

As you need to get the barcode information firstly and then create folder hierarchy and upload document, workflow is not enough to achieve it your requirement.
If your environment is Office 365, I suggest you can create folder hierarchy and upload document using Client Object Model.

Automatic PGI and Invoice creation
Hi Friends,
I had a requirement in SD area where once we create sales order, the PGI and Invoice process should run in the background ( Automation Process). The scenario here is -- when we create sales order, the delivery document also gets generated.
My approach -- for PGI and Invoice process, I need to develop the BAPIs. ( for Post Goods Issue and Invoice creation).
After the creation of BAPIs, I need to call these bapis in the standard sales order creation process.
Searched the forum on this issue. But cant find the appropriate answers.
Please suggest me the solution for this issue.
Murali Krishna. TYou don't call anything else from the standard sales order process. Sales order creation stands alone; every other process is a subsequent process. Automatic delivery creation can be implemented by sales document type config, which it sounds like you already have in place, or you're using the delivery due list. You also don't need another program for billing doc creation; use the billing due list program scheduled at certain intervals.
The limitation on billing is the PGI if your copy control specifies that you can't bill until PGI occurs. I don't understand why you would do this automatically, without confirmation that the shipment has left your warehouse. If your items aren't really relevant for PGI, then you can configure them that way so that it's not required. However, auto-picking and auto-packing are done via delivery output determination code using the functions WS_DELIVERY_UPDATE_*. You might also try to PGI the delivery there as well with WS_DELIVERY_UPDATE. Otherwise, just use table drop and trigger the WS_DELIVERY_UPDATE function for the PGI from a custom program; you can then run billing due as a second step in the job. -

In vl23, you will not be able to make changes in the STANDARD VARIANTS.
You can create your own variant by (SHIFT + F7).
Give a variant name ' TEST' and click create.
Now you can give the selection parameters
Click on attributes
So you will reach a variant screen, where you have to give a 'meaning name'...like variant for TEST
You can see fields .
Imagine that initially you had given 1100 in the sales organisation.
Now if we do not want that value to be changed, then use protect field.
If that field need not be displayed, the choose hide field.
Usually, these two will be used, if we are going for background processing.
SAVE and you can see a new variant in VL23 now.

Presently: 120 page Blurb publishing with 190 images
I have created a large number of INDD documents that I piece together from many sources,
such as file folders, internet searches, external drives, emails...kind of grabbing things
from all over the place. usually I publish this as a PDF for local and archival use. Sometimes
using this also for newsletters and other ways to distribute documents as pdf and epub.
I never really paid to much attention to LINKED FILES and where they might
be located, as my intent was PDF and you can publish a very
serviceable Pdf without verifying or correcting MISSING LINKS...
NOW, I am working on a higher end 120 page Photo BOOK to have printed on paper.
I did not organise my image assets into a folder, i should have first. Now as I go to
upload to the publisher I find I have to many missing links to images. So I am going
back through the whole project and organising the assets and re-linking...what a lot of work this is.
I was wondering if InDesign supports automatic creation of assets folder?
As you place images, with their links, the program creates a folder and puts a copy of the file there?
I don't see anything about this subject.
I am wondering why not? It would sure make the work flow speed up. Options for
the format, size, pip etc. Does this exist in InDesign and if not
wtf not?
Sure would appreciate anyone's thoughts on this. It is to late now to save this
relinking 190 images, but I realise I need to be better prepared with my assets in the
future. I work on a number of publications, some spontaneously and others
more carefully planned...some sort of auto process for asset-linked-folders
seems a simple enough coding issue. It is 2014 already.

will place linked files into a folder. To bad. A really serious and lazy oversight in my view. The package function is helpful if one has already
organised their assetts.
As great as these programs are, this is an oversight of some frustration. As I said in my comments above, it seems an easy enough routine to program
into the app. Why should a user have to worry about collecting details of resources/links for a document?

Is there a way (or a setting) for my individual folders in Mail to automatically update across all devices? For example, if I transfer an email to a folder for follow-up on my PC - say 10th of the following month - the same folder in Mail on my iPhone doesn't update until I actually go into the folder and update manually. Interestingly though, if I create a new folder on any of my devices they automatically appear on the other devices so it is just the actual contents that I am referring to here. Appreciate any help or guidance.

JustinYou can turn mail off in the settings but then you can't use it for anything, including the "test" that you want to perform.
Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Account Name>Mail>Off. That totally turns off the mail account.
As long as mail is turned on and you launch the app, it will look for an download new mail. -
I am in the habit of leaving all of the pages open the whole day, whether I use them for 10 seconds or 10 hours. At the end of the day I will bookmark them all into a folder and use a name like "H March 23 2014" with H meaning home. If using the computer in the office, the bookmark would be "O March 23, 2014". Is there anyway to make FF do this automatically? One step nicer, if it would store each folder within a folder that I have designated for daily work documentation.

How can I save a file in the Downloads folder and automatically have it opened?
Often, I'd like to download a file, save it to my Downlaods folder and have it opened right away.
Currently, you can only decide between the two options "open" or "save to...". There's seemlingly no way Firefox can do both at once.
I know I can download it, open the downloads manager and open it manually. But when working with over a dozen documents a day, that doesn't quite do the trick.
In Chrome, you only have to click twice: Once for downloading and once for opening it from the download bar on the bottom of the screen. You do not have to open a download manager.Yeah, thanks but that's not what I was trying to ask.
I know that you can save and open a document by performing these three steps:
1. Confirming to save a file to the Downloads folder
2. Open the download manager by clicking the temporarily green arrow
3. Clicking on the downloaded file
What I would like to know is whether or not it is possible to have Firefox open a saved file ''automatically''. At the moment, if I choose to open it automatically, it is only saved to my temp folder.
It would be great though if it was saved to my Downloads folder ''and'' opened with the respective program on my pc. Is there a way to do this? -

I cant retrieve my images from webcams that are cached any more with mozilla. With netscape all of the live webcam images from live cams were automatically saved in my cache folder and all i had to do was open it send the files to acdsee and turn them into jpgs. It would save them untill the Cache ran out of room no matter how many files or sites I had running. Mozilla seems to save what it wants when it wants and often dose not save any that I can retrieve because I believe it is bulking them into Cache 123 or 4 and those i cant open to retrieve the files. Sometimes it saves 100 or so and sometimes 2 or 3 sometimes 10 or more but i don't seem to have any control over what it does or does not save to retrieve no matter how much space i allow for the cache to save.

File-to-file or File-to-RFC for Automatic PO creation and GR creation

We are on XI 3.0 and the following has been put to me:
We will receive a .CSV file from FTP server, into XI and then need to create Purchase Orders followed by the Goods Receipt documents in R/3 based on the incoming data.
Further to this, the requirement is to give a log of the successfule and failed PO + GR document summary to the business.
The programme in R/3 will compare the incoming file nmame with archived files already processed and will reject any files with duplicate names.
I was suggesting to go with the file to RFC in R/3 whereby we can have a Z shell BAPI to include the standard BAPI for PO creation and GR creation. This Z code can then be extended to email the log to the business of which records were successfully created and which failed.
However, I am stumped as to how can I make the file duplication comparison on R/3 as the incoming file will also be stored on R/3 archive somewhere.
Can this be made when the BAPI is called in XI?
I can configure alerts when the BAPI is mapped from incoming file for that interface.
What was suggested also was to pick up the CSV file and thow it as it is in R/3 and then the Z code can go through it and create the PO and GR objects. However, then it does not make much sense to use XI as the middleware platform.
Please advice.

For example, I saved a jpeg named 'picasso the guitarist'. I have folders titled A to Z. When I click 'save as' it might open the 'K' folder and I have to manually search the 'P' folder for 'Picasso' and save file. The most irritating thing is, when I 'save as' another jpeg of say 'pieter mother & child' it goes to another folder and does not remain in the 'P' folder, rather it goes to the 'X' folder or some other. This didn't happen before the last upgrade. Can I disable this new 'help' feature that is taking more time than the old version?
Current Firefox versions remember the download directory based upon the URL, so if the URL changes then the default folder may be chosen if there hasn't been selected a download folder before for that server.

How can I add pictures to a folder and automatically update an iPhoto event?

I use Image Capture to transfer pictures from my phone and cameras onto my Mac.
Some of these pictures end up in pre-existing folders, that I then want iPhoto to recognize - is there any way of iPhoto re-scanning the folder and adding the additional pictures to the event?

Strange Automatic Folder Creation Issue IMAP
Hello all,
I have been using mail for over a year and besides some minor issues (delay to download attachments, messages cant be read if I click on them before they are fully loaded) it worked OK. However, since the last update I encountered the following Issue:
A new "Inbox" folder which contains other Inbox folder that contains another Inbox folder and so on is created every time I restart the application, inside my IMAP account inbox. This creates no other problems that I am aware of, but it is annoying to have to delete this folder every time.
I have no idea what could be the cause of this, or how to go about giving this a permanent solution.
Any feedback and possible solutions to this will be greatly appreciated!
HKondorI have this same problem. Again, it does not seem to cause any problems that I know of, but it strange and just makes me think something is not correct with the setup. Any further info would be appreciated. Thanks.

1) Always use "build path" instead of string operations to build a filepath!
2) remove the "file dialog" when you don't want that file dialog popup!
3) First you write to a file, than you read from it? What's the reason for this?
4) You create the file with "write only" access mode, but want to read from it?
The attached vi runs without any error messages for me...
Edited: I added a simple error check to the folder creation part, as the original vi only runs without error for the first call...

Item Category determines the processing of any Item/material that we enter in a sales order and in this way it also effects the procesing of any sales doc in which it is used.
Item Category Group is one of the component which along with the Sales Doc Type, The Item Usage and Higher Level Item Category decide about the Item Category in a sales doc.
Item category determination enables, the system proposes the corresponding item category for sales document type through item category group. t-code: VOV4
Fields in the item category determination:
Sales document type, item category group, item usage, and higher-level item category
Default item category, manual item category

Item category is for a particu;lar sales order item and it has integration with sales document type and material master.
In material master ,you must have seen the item category grp in basic data and sales area data.
That means your item category is assigned to the combination of sales document type and item category grp in the configuration.
Whenever you will create an order for a particular type and you will put your material then your item category will be determined automatically.
Configuration is done by spro---sd -sales-sales document item----assign item category
