TBD4 - Upload Polish rates in OB08 table

We currently import daily exchange rates from FINISS to a central SAP server and replicate via ALE to other SAP clients throughout our organization.
We currently load the rates at the end of our business day in the US (16:00).  We are now implementing an operation in Poland and have begun pushing the Poland Central Bank through the same process.
But, our Poland operations are indicating that the timing of the push is not going to meet their requirements.  Their ideal solution would be to adjust the date forward by 1 day.  For example, today is August 3rd and we would currently be loading today's Poland Central Bank rate at 16:00 US time (23:00 Poland time).  The business unit would like us to change today's entry to have an August 4th date.
Is this possible to do through TBD4 in SAP?  Are there exits available?

  • Best solution to automate/upload data to the GL_DAILY_RATES_INTERFACE table

We are using Oracle Apps 11.5.10.2 and I would like to get some feedback on a proposed solution to upload Exchange rates to the GL_DAILY_RATES_INTERFACE and then populate the GL_DAILY_RATES table.
From what I have read so far I understand that I need to do the following, to allow the GL_DAILY_RATES table to be populated:
Use sql Loader as the tool to upload the data.
Write a control file, with the load data command, in this example, called rates.ctl
         LOAD DATA
         APPEND
         INTO TABLE GL_DAILY_RATES_INTERFACE
         FIELDS TERMINATED BY ','
         (FROM_CURRENCY                CHAR
         ,TO_CURRENCY                CHAR
         ,FROM_CONVERSION_DATE           DATE
         ,TO_CONVERSION_DATE           DATE
         ,USER_CONVERSION_TYPE          CHAR
         ,CONVERSION_RATE                DECIMAL EXTERNAL
         ,MODE_FLAG                     CHAR)
Provide a data file .txt or .csv for the control file to access, for this example called fxcsv.csv
         formated:
         PHP,USD,01-SEP-11,01-SEP-11,Corporate,0.01984,I
Provide a command for sql loader that can be written into a Unix shell script. I don't have unix level access or the recent experience to perform this task.
         sqldr apps/pw contraol=rates.ctl log=rates log bad -rates.bad data-fxcsv.csv
Create a batch file to request the fxcsv.csv file from the OANDA site for the days current rates.
Create a Samba share for the .csv file for OANDA file to be copied from the windows environment.
Run Program - Daily Rates Import + Calculation to populate GL_DAILY_RATES from the data in GL_DAILY_RATES_INTERFACE.
Couple of items that I will need to address, if the above process is the correct way to make this upload work.
The format of the OANDA file that is download from the OANDA site, will have to be modified before it can be upload by the control file.
I am not sure the best approach to script a modification to the .csv file, but any suggestions are welcome.
The date in the OANDA file is not formatted correctly.
The OANDA file does not have to_conversion_date.
The OANDA file does not have a user_conversion_type.
The OANDA file does not have a Mode Flag for insert or delete.
All of the above being said, is this a solid process for uploading into the GL_DAILY_RATES_INTERFACE?
    Any feedback is appreciated.

    Hi,
Thanks for the solution. My company has assigned me similar kind of automation process. So if you could give me more input on this that would be great. You can send me further mails on the following id : [email protected] or a reply in the same forum is much appriciated. Waiting for your reply.

  • How to upload exchange rate to planning in EPMA?

    Dear expert,
Our instance of Hyperion Planning is built upon EPMA. We know that in classic mode, we can upload exchange rate with outline load utility. We would like to know in EPMA, how can we upload the rate with excel, to the exchange rate table defined in planning?
    Please kindly advise.
    We're using version 11.1.1.3
    Thanks & best regards,
    Annie

    Hello everybody,
I tried to use the OutlineLoad to load exchange rates on a EPMA Planning applications.
    I get the following error:
java.lang.RuntimeException: Planning Adapter loads may cause issues on BMPA enabled applications if metadata is modified.
    at com.hyperion.planning.HyperionPlanningBean.beginLoad(Unknown Source)
    at com.hyperion.planning.utils.HspOutlineLoad.parseAndLoadInputFile(Unknown Source)
    at com.hyperion.planning.utils.HspOutlineLoad.halAdapterInfoAndLoad(Unknown Source)
    at com.hyperion.planning.utils.HspOutlineLoad.loadAndPrintStatus(Unknown Source)
    at com.hyperion.planning.utils.HspOutlineLoad.main(Unknown Source)
It seems the exchange rates load is recognized as a metadata load, and this cause Planning to stop the process.
Anyone found a workaround to load the exchange rates to a EPMA Planning app?
    Thank you,
    Nicola

  • DB Connect Load - "Unknow error while uploading data from the DB Table"

    Hi Experts,
We have our BI7 system connected to Oracle DB based third party tool. The loads are performing quite well in DEV environment.
I would like to know, how we transport DB Connect datasources to Quality systems? Any different process to be followed for DB Connect datasources?
At present the connections between BI Quality and the third party quality systems are established. We transported the DataSource from BI DEV system to BI quality system, but on trigerring an infopackage we are not able to perform loads. It prompts - "Unknow error while uploading data from the DB Table".
Also on comparing the DataSources in DEV system and Quality system there are no fields in "Proposal" tab of datasource in Quality system. Also I cannot change or activate Datasource in Quality system as we dont have change access in quality.
    Please advice.
    Thanks,
    Abhijit

    Hi,
Sorry for bumping an old thread ....
Did this issue get ever get resolved?
I am facing the same one. The loads work successfully in Dev. The transport for DBConnect DS also moved in successfully.
One strange this is that DB User for dev did not automatically change to db user from quality when I transported the DBConnect datasource. DBCon DS still shows me the DB User from Dev in Quality system
I get "Unknown Error" whenever I trigger the data package.

  • Upload data from excel to Table maintance

    Hi,
Shall we upload excel file data through Table maintanance generator and shall we download data from Table maintanance to Excel directly,  if possible how we can do?
    Regards

It is not possible. There is 3rd party software, such as WinShuttle, among others, that allows data exchange between SAP and Excel.

  • Upload text file to oracle table with checking and aggregation

    Hi Friends,
I am new to ODI.  I have encountered a problem which is specific to ODI 11G (11.1.1.6.3) to upload text file to oracle table with checking and aggregation.  Would you please teach me how to implement the following requirement in ODI 11G?
    Input text file a:
    staffCode, staffCat, status, data
    input text file b:
    staffCodeStart, staffCodeEnd, staffCat
    temp output oracle table c:
    staffCat, data
    output oracle table d:
    staffCat, data
    order:
    a.staffCode, a.staffCat, a.status
    filter:
    a.status = ‘active’
    join:
    a left outerjoin b on a.staffCode between b.staffCodeStart and b.staffCodeEnd
    insert temp table c:
    c.staffCat = if b.staffCat is not null then b.staffCat else a.staffCat
    c.data = a.data
    insert table d:
    if c.staffCat between 99 and 1000 then d.staffCat = c.staffCat, d.data = sum(c.data)
    else d.staffCat = c.staffCat, d.data = LAST(c.data)
Any help on fixing this is highly appreciated. Thanks!!
    Thanks,
    Chris

    Dear Santy,
Many thanks for your prompt reply.  May I have more information about the LAST or SUM step?
I was successful to create and run the following interfaces p and q
    1. Drag text file a to a newly created interface panel p
    2. Filter text file a : a.status = ‘active’
    3. Lookup text file a to text file b : a.staffCode between b.staffCodeStart and b.staffCodeEnd
    4. Drag oracle temp table c to interface panel p
    5. Set c.staffCat : CASE WHEN b.staffCat IS NULL THEN a.staffCat ELSE b.staffCat END
    6. Set c.data : a.data
    7. Drag oracle temp table c to a newly created interface panel q
    8. Drag oracle table d to interface panel q
    9. Set UK to d.staffCat
    10. Set Distinct Rows to table d
    11. Set d.staffCat = c.staffCat
    12. Set d.data = SUM(c.data)
However, the interface q should be more than that:
    If c.staffCat is between 99 and 1000, then d.data = the last record c.data; else d.data = sum(c.data)
Would you please teach me how to do the LAST or SUM steps?  Moreover, can interface p and interface q be combined to one interface and do not use the temp table c?  Millions thanks!
    Regards,
    Chris

  • Upload excel data into Internal table

    Hi,
I'm trying to upload excel data into internal table, well the excel file layout will be different on each run of the report.
Excel file will have 60 columns and 500 record limit. I can upload the excel data using 'ALSM_EXCEL_TO_INTERNAL_TABLE' and 'KCD_EXCEL_OLE_TO_INT_CONVERT' but the output table is generates 60 lines for each record i.e.., 60 * 500 = 30,000 which could cause performance.
I try with the FM 'TEXT_CONVERT_XLS_TO_SAP', but this will only work if the file structure is static. It didn't work for dynamic file layout. Even GUI_UPLOAD doesn't work to upload excel file, it will work if I convert the file to Tab delimited file.
Please advise if you know any alternate procedure to upload excel data into internal table.
    Thanks,
    Kumar.

  • Uploading excel data to database table

    Dear Experts,
I have an Excel file which was downloaded from SQL database, now I need to export this data into my 'ztable', for this first I created an internal table of ztable structure and tried to upload into this table through ''TEXT_CONVERT_XLS_TO_SAP".
But I was unable to get data into the internal table(incompatible type), so now I created an internal table of character type fileds now I able to get data to this internal table, but to put this internal table data to actual database table it gives error, here the actual problem is the fields of internal table are getting concated with blank spaces(observed through debug), I unable to condense these blanks also, (I have created an Excel of my own and put data into it and uploaded that data there is no problem working fine but this problem occurs only for the excel downloaded from SQL db)
The problem occurs for quantity and currency fields(I tried through standard FMs also to convert data types ), Could plz suggest something..........
                                                                                    Thank you

    Hi,
To upload excel sheet into database table, define a types which is of same as table fields.
and try it with the function module  TEXT_CONVERT_XLS_TO_SAP
    Here is a sample code:
    CALL FUNCTION 'TEXT_CONVERT_XLS_TO_SAP'
            EXPORTING
             I_FIELD_SEPERATOR          ='X'
              i_tab_raw_data             = fs_truxs( TYPE of  truxs_t_text_data.)
              i_filename                 = '<FILE-PATH>'
          tables
              i_tab_converted_data       = <Internal Table>
           EXCEPTIONS
             CONVERSION_FAILED          = 1
             OTHERS                     = 2
          IF sy-subrc <> 0.
    MESSAGE ID SY-MSGID TYPE SY-MSGTY NUMBER SY-MSGNO
             WITH SY-MSGV1 SY-MSGV2 SY-MSGV3 SY-MSGV4.
          ENDIF.
LOOP AT <internal-table> INTO field string.
    INSERT <DATABASE- TABLE> FROM <field string>.
    ENDLOOP.
    Hope this solves the issue.

  • Help Required:How Upload Excel file Into Oracle Table Using PLSQL Procedure

Please Help , Urgent Help Needed.
Requirement is to Upload Excel file Into Oracle Table Using PLSQL Procedure/Package.
    Case's are :
    1. Excel File is On Users/ Client PC.
    2. Application is on Remote Server(Oracle Forms D2k).
    3. User Is Using Application Using Terminal Server LogIn.
    4. So If User Will Use to GET_FILE_NAME() function of D2K to Get Excel File , D2k Will Try to pick File from That Remote Server(Bcs User Logind from Terminal Server Option).
    5. Cannot Use Util_File Package Or Oracle Directory to Place That File on Server.
    6. we are Using Oracle 8.7
So Need Some PL/SQL Package or Fuction/ Procedure to Upload Excel file on User's Pc to Oracle Table.
Please Guide me wd some Code. or with Some Pl/SQL Package, or With SOme Hint. Or any Link ....
Jus help to Sort This Issue ........
you can also write me on :
    [email protected], [email protected]

TEXT_IO is a PL/SQL package available only in Forms (you'll want to post in the Forms forum for more information). It is not available in a stored procedure in the database (where the equivalent package is UTL_FILE).
If the Terminal Server machine and the database machine do not have access to the file system on the client machine, no application running on either machine will have access to the file. Barring exceptional setups (like the FTP server on the client machine), your applications are not going to have more access to the client machine than the operating system does.
If you map the client drives from the Terminal Server box, there is the potential for your Forms application to access those files. If you want the files to be accessible to a stored procedure in the database, you'll need to move the files somewhere the database can access them.

  • To upload a data into SAP Table with the help of RFC function in BODS

    Hi,
Please provide me step-by-step solution to upload data into any SAP table with the help of RFC function in Data Services.
I have created RFC function that upload data into SAP table. RFC Function contains one table that has same structure as my database table.
In the data services how can i filled the table of RFC function, i am using this function in query transform of data services but it gives me error.
I am also follow link http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/BOBJ/BusinessObjectsDataServicesTipsand+Tricks
but it did not help me.
    Thanks,
    Abhishek

    Hi Abhishek,
Did you import the function module in the SAP datastore first? When you open the SAP datastore, the function should be listed in the 'functions' section. If not, import it. Make sure your function is remote executable.
Once the function is there, you can use it in a transformation. In 'Schema Out' right-click on 'Query' (top level) and choose 'New Function Call'. You can then select a datastore and a function in the datastore. The wizard will show you which output parameters are available. I believe you have to add at least one and can select as many as you like.
After confirming your selection the function and the output parameters appear in Schema Out. You can then right-click on the function and choose 'Modify function call'. A popup will appear where you can specify the input parameters.
    I hope this helps.
