Tc/col/runtime error SP9
Hi All,
We have upgraded our dev box to SP9, when I build the CAF-Core, I got an error "Illegal dependency Access list does not allow use of sap.com/tc/col/runtime", so I deleted it from used DC and build the project again, I got lot of errors because generated code is pointing to classes of public part tc/col/runtime. Has anybody come across this problem in SP9. Please let me know
Thanks
Som
Hi All,
I'm download and using SAP NetWeaver 2004s Java Trial Version (SP9).
I've used the tutorial "Using a Composite Application via a WebDynpro UI".
I'm using the "caf/runtime/uicoupling/api/lib DC" and I add "sap.com/cafruntimeuicouplingapilib" in Java Build Path libraries.
The wdDoInit() method is:
public void wdDoInit()
//@@begin wdDoInit()
//Initialize location field:
IAspect aspectList;
IAspectRow aspectRow;
int count;
IWDAttributeInfo attributeInfoStart, attributeInfoTarget;
ISimpleTypeModifiable startLocation, targetLocation;
IModifiableSimpleValueSet valueSetStart, valueSetTarget;
//access the context and get the relevant value node:
attributeInfoStart = wdContext.nodeFindTravel().getNodeInfo().getAttribute("StartLocation");
startLocation = attributeInfoStart.getModifiableSimpleType();
valueSetStart = startLocation.getSVServices().getModifiableSimpleValueSet();
attributeInfoTarget = wdContext.nodeFindTravel().getNodeInfo().getAttribute("TargetLocation");
targetLocation = attributeInfoTarget.getModifiableSimpleType();
valueSetTarget = targetLocation.getSVServices().getModifiableSimpleValueSet();
//access the proxy and get all available locations
aspectList = TravelLocationServiceProxy.getAll();
//add wildcards for a general search:
valueSetStart.put("","");
valueSetTarget.put("","");
//loop over the result list
for (count = 0; count < aspectList.size(); count++) {
aspectRow = aspectList.getAspectRow(count);
//*****The problem is here:****
<b>valueSetStart.put(aspectRow.getAttributeAsString("Key"), aspectRow.getAttributeAsString("name"));
valueSetTarget.put(aspectRow.getAttributeAsString("Key"), aspectRow.getAttributeAsString("name"));</b>
//@@end
Before I used "caf/runtime/uicoupling/api/lib DC" I got this error:
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/sap/tc/col/client/generic/api/IAspect
Instead, now, when I run WebDynpro application "TravelSearch" I got this exception:
Root Cause
The initial exception that caused the request to fail, was:
<b>java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/sap/tc/col/client/generic/api/IStructure</b>

SamtaHi samta,
I have tried this task of getting a web dynpro application in CAF GP. I never needed to add this DC. Have a look at the following docs. You need to follow steps from both the docs to successfully get your web dynpro application to show in your CAF GP Callable object (if that is what you intend to do).
How to Get NW04s SP7 Guided Procedure APIs for Local Development:

See if this solves your problem.

ABAP Runtime error while activating Update rules.
Hi Gurus,
Actually we are in NW 2004's SP9.
While activating the update rules of cube "0PY_PPC01" it is going to ABAP runtime error. It is giving the key words like "MESSAGE_TYPE_X"
"%_T005K2" or "INSTANTIATE". And i apply NOTEs also i am unable to fix it.
Can any one give correct NOTE number that can fix it or any suggestions.
Thanks in advance.
Thanks
Raju.kHi Sven,
Now we are also in SP11, But the thing is all the other UR are working fine Except
this UR. Even there is no perticular NOTE number for this.
Thanks

Portal Runtime Error in ESS iview
Hi All,
I have implemented ESS 50.4 on EP 6.0 SP9. For SAP IAC iviws i am getting following error.
Portal Runtime Error
An exception occurred while processing a request for :
iView : pcd:portal_content/AFDB/Role/ESSRole/Office/SAPInbox/SAPInbox
Component Name : com.sap.portal.appintegrator.sap.IAC
Error in executing a process for compilation.
Exception id: 03:10_06/05/06_0031_4156850
See the details for the exception ID in the log file.
In the log file i am getting following error message.
com.sap.engine.services.connector.exceptions.BaseResourceException: "ConnectionManager" is closed. Possible reasons: 1) connector "SAPEPPDB" is stopped or not started, 2) Connector service is stopped or has not been started.
Please help me to resolve the problem its very urgent.
Regards,
VaishaliHi Vaishali,
Nice to hear from you again.
Hope you are doing good.
I am not sure whether the error that you mentioned is the right one for this issue, but if this is the case, just to inform you that a new note has been released in this regard. Please check sap note: 1600085 as well and set the parameters accordingly.
Usually we need to see what kind of code is using the concerned connection.
Incase the issue persists, proceed as follows (it wil be better to do this when the value of the number of connections is really high, so that identifying the root cause can be easy.
1)
Set the severity of "com.sap.engine.services.connector.jca.ConnectionHashSet" to DEBUG.
You can change the severity of a location using the guide in the link below:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwce72/helpdata/en/47/af551efa711503e10000000a42189c/frameset.htm
2)
- connect to the AS-JAVA via telnet
- then execute these commands:
> add connector
> switch_debug_mode SAPEPPDB (or the datasource name)
> jump (to go to the next servernode if you have multiple ones)
> add connector
> switch_debug_mode SAPEPPDB
... and so on on all the servernodes
- then wait for a few hours in order to see the connections not being
released
- go back to the telnet console and call:
> list_conn SAPEPPDB -showTrace > server0.txt
> jump
> list_conn SAPEPPDB -showTrace > server1.txt
... and so on on all the servernodes
The serverX.txt files will be generated in the ../j2ee/cluster/server directories. Just check them to get more info.
Thank you!
Kind Regards,
Hemanth

Portal Runtime Error - iView not found
Hi friends,
I am working in SAP Enterprise Portal (EP6 SP9).
I have made a URL iView pointing to an HTML file (residing on Portal server).I have attached this iView in the "Related Links" section of a page.
Problem:
When I access this iView by clicking it, it opens perfectly well.But if i keep the same page untouched for about 15-20 min, and then try to access the same iView, it shows me the following error.
Portal Runtime Error
An exception occurred while processing a request for :
iView : N/A
Component Name : N/A
iView not found: pcd:portal_content/com.freescale.SUPO_Roles/com.freescale.sup_rol_epp/com.freescale.sup_wks_0007/com.freescale.sup_pge_0012/"relatedItems/RelatedLinks/com.freescale.url_ivu_0004".
Exception id: 09:45_15/09/05_0012_7337651
See the details for the exception ID in the log file
Does anybody have a possible solution to this problem?
By any chance does this problem has anything to do with the iView being in the "Related Links" section of the page?
Thanks and Regards,
Jitendra Chaudhari
IndiaHi

Reason of your Dump is that the enhancement "LFDCB001" which you used contains one Function module exit "EXIT_SAPLFDCB_001" and another one screen exit in calling screen "SAPLFDCB" number 0150.
So when you activate your project these above mentioned both components were activated.
So when you execute transaction SAP looks for called screen "SAPLXM08" No-0400 but as you havn't created and program go for DUMP.
Solution - Just Create called screen "SAPLXM08" No-0400 and activate.

Apprantly it seems that the sequence to applying the SP Stacks plays a part. I reverted back to SP9 then went on to SP10, SP10 patch2 and then SP11 and it appears fine now.

Portal Runtime Error after Portal SP21 Patch Update
Dear GURU's,
Greetings!
We have installed and configured SAP Netweaver 2004 WAS Java and have EP 6.0 SR1 - SP9 system on Windows Server 2003, Enterprise Edition Service Pack 2 and MS SQL Server 2005 Service Pack 2.
We had connected the server to the backend R3 system and completed all the configurations for an HCM implementation with KMC. We had updated the SP level from SP9 to SP21.
When we were trying to access the portal system today we found a Portal Runtime Error when we launched the Portal URL. The error is mentioned below.
Portal Runtime Error
An exception occurred while processing your request
Exception id: 07:02_06/11/08_4102050
See the details for the exception ID in the log file.
We had not changed any of the configurations in the system, we also had experienced the same error in the UWL Administration link in the portal system and our portal consultant was working on the same.
Please help us in solving the error. We would be glad to know the reason of the error and also the measures to avoid the same in the future.
Expecting your reply at the earliest.
Thank you
Regards,
VineethDear Ravi & Vamshi,
Thank you very much for the reply.
I solved this error.
This is caused due to insufficient permissions that is configured in the security zones of the portal system.
The below mentioned document specifies further details and inital permission settings,

Portal Runtime Error - User Mapping
Hi
I installed EP6 SP9, KMC and TREX successfully. I logged into the portal and created a system to connect to R3 and also the system alias. When I tried to do the user mapping I get the following error:
Portal Runtime Error
An exception occurred while processing a request for :
iView : pcd:portal_content/administrator/super_admin/super_admin_role/com.sap.portal.user_administration/com.sap.portal.user_mapping/com.sap.portal.userMappingAdmin/com.sap.portal.userMappingAdmin
Component Name : com.sap.portal.usermanagement.admin.UserMappingAdmin
User Mapping not fully available..
Exception id: 12:06_31/03/05_0003_3886350
See the details for the exception ID in the log file
Please help.
SriramThis was also discussed several days ago in this forum - please search the forum before posting.
Did you install the strong encryption libraries? Without those libraries then usermapping cannot be stored securly in the DB and thus you see the error - by default ume.usermapping.unsecure is set to false, for VERY GOOD REASON. If you allow unsecure usermapping the the user/pwd data is stored in BASE64 strings in the DB - this is hardly secure.
Only set ume.usermapping.unsecure to true in non-productive environments.

Viewing Portal Runtime Error Log
Hi,
I am running my Java Custom iViews in EP6 SP9. When I get a Portal Runtime Error, I would like to look at the log file generated.
In EP6 SP2 we had the option of going to System Admin--> .. and loking at the Portal log to check the error is there a similar functionality in SP9.
Any help is appreciated...

Runtime error in starting Lightroom
I receive the following message when I try to start Lightroom:
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error!
Program:...Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 1.2\lightroom.exe
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.
Lightroom ran well for several days and then failed to open with the above message.
I have tried everything I know to do (uninstalled and reinstalled the application, restored the computer to a restore point before Lightroom was originally installed, etc.) and do not know were to go from here. Suggestions would be appreciated.
I am using Windows XP sp2 and have 4 GB of ram and 250 GB of hard disk space.
Thanks,
Cliff CulpAha! A fix! Please look at this...

Could someone help me with a Runtime Error while saving a PDF file?
While saving a 28 page PDF file in Illustrator today, I got a window saying, "This application has requested the "Runtime" to terminate it in a unusual way." It said to contact the applications support team for more information. I keep getting the same thing each time I try it. Does anyone know how to fix this issue or how I contact the applications support team ?
Thank you for any insight.
PamIt is a 13.5x11 inch calendar. There are 14 pages with images on them and
some text. The other pages have text, a grid and a colored background with a
gaussian blur. I saved each page as an "outline".
The printer I am using requested I save all pages in a pdf file. I was
successful in saving all but about six pages, now I can't even open the
file.
What happens is... I open Illustrator
I open the pdf file
A window appears that says... Runtime Error,
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual
way. Please contact the application's support team for more information.
I select ok
then a window appears that says... Adobe
Illustrator CS5 has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop
working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a
solution is available.
Then the program closes.
So far I have not been notified of anything.
Please let me know if you need more details.
Thank you so much for helping me with this.

RunTime Error while saving a Sales Order
Hi All,
When i am saving a Sales Order, the system is throwing a Runtime Error.
The ABAP Code in the Runtime Error screen as follows.
select * from (t681-kotab) appending table <cond_tab>
up to 1 rows
where kappl = se_kappl
and kschl = se_kschl
and datbi >= se_date
and datab <= se_date
and (coding_tab).
Till these days, there was no such error while saving a Sales Order.
How to resolve this issue?
Regards
PavanHi,
The below piece of code is trying to get the contents of the table mentioned in T681-KOTAB.
select * from (t681-kotab) appending table <cond_tab>
up to 1 rows
where kappl = se_kappl
and kschl = se_kschl
and datbi >= se_date
and datab <= se_date
and (coding_tab).
The reason could be is someone has screwed up the entries in T681 table. Check that out.
Try to put a break point on this SELECT query and see what the value of T681-KOTAB holds before the SELECT query. Check whether such a table entry exists in DB.
Let me know if you are still stuck up.
If you can send me the ST22 dump of the run time error, i might be able to help you more on this.
Hope this helps.
Thanks,
