TDMS transfers Materials, but MARC table is empty

After creating an empty shell using cleint copy, we are trying to copy Materials from one client to another using TDMS. Interestingly, it succeeds in copying all the Materials Tables like MARA,MAKT,MARD etc but the Plant level table MARC is empty even though there are several thousand records that need to be copied over.
We repeated the experiment twice and we get the same results.
Also interestingly, other lower Plant level data like Batches, Variants are copied over successfully. This is surpising as the Plant Level table MARC is empty and my expectations are that the dependent next plant level tables should be empty.
Did anyone run into this problem before? If so what was the solution?

Hi,
If you are using a TDMDC package - Master data and customizing , then the table MARC table will not be transferred. However, IF you want to transfer this via TDMDC package then you have to run the activity 'Maintain classification
manually' and select the table for transfers.

Problem in MARC Table - when count A, B, C Physical Inventory Indicator

We have 75000 material in MARC table of 1 Plant.
But when we saw materials with Physical Inventory CC indicator- ABCIN (A + B + C), there are approx. 63000 material's.
How it's possible??? what is the diff. of 12000 material's...
Note: - There is no D indicator material's in MARC.

No, there is no problem. It can be done if you are sure that all entries should contain value D instead of space. But before doing this, you should probably analyse and find out a reason why it happened. Maybe there were an error in migration program (if the materials were migrated). Or probably there is some user-exit implemented for maintaining material master and it contains error. Which plant is for such materials in MARC table if there is no plant view maintained? Should these entries be in MARC table? I do not know. I am not MM consultant, just an ABAP developer. But from technical point of view, there is no risk in such update, there is a risk only from business point of view and I am not the one to judge this risk.

GLT0 table is empty for 0FI_GL_6 & 0FI_GL_7

Dear All,
I need to load data for 0FIGL_C01 & 0FIGL_C02 Infocube. These 2 cube are getting data from 0FI_GL_6 & 0FI_GL_7.
When i checked in ECC these 2 datsources are getting the data from GLT0 table, but the table is empty.
To fill the data to the table i need to do some settings in ECC ( SPRO --> Deactivating the OLD GL). I checked with the client they are using the new GL not the classic GL. But I am just trying this for the testing purpose, so i don't want to change any setting in ECC.
I do read that 0FI_GL_10 & 0FI_GL_14 has the same features of the old datasources. I need to know can i use the any of this datasource's by replacing the 0FI_GL_6 & 0FI_GL_7, will it satisfy by requirement or any data discrepancy will be there.
Kindly help me to understand this flow.

Hi Suman,
As far as I can judge you can use InfoCube 0FIGL_C02 for the Line Items' data flow with DataSource 0FI_GL_14 as starting point. You might want to "enrich" the data model with some additional Characteristics which are now available in New GL. Just compare DSO 0FIGL_O14 and identify additional interesting Characteristics.
InfoCube 0FIGL_C01 is not meant for Line Items; it is meant for Transaction Figures (i.e. balances) with DataSource 0FI_GL_10 as starting point.
Last but not least, it's clear that you won't find Business Content Transformations. However, the mapping from DataSource fields to Business Content InfoObjects is already done so it should basically be a one to one move.

Function module table returning empty rows but export data is getting

I am executing function module through JCO after setting importing parameter and when i retrieve the table i get table with empty data 0 rows but i am able get export parameter data . when execute the same function module in abap through sap gui i get table containing 5 rows. what may be the problem. please find below code

Hi Pavan,
This could be the case. The function module might be expecting a value converted into its format.
By this, I mean that the function module might be expecting 0012345678 for 12345678 (Where data element of the ID is of type CHAR 10 ).

Requests are green in the infocube but the E- and F-table are empty???

Hallo Experts,
we made an upgrade from 3.5 to 7.0 and have therefore a testsystem (after systemcopy we made the upgrade technical).
So it looks good. But one InfoCube looks bad. The dim-tables are alright but the E- and F-tables are empty. So the administrator and the user doesn´t´t get data from this cube. Can someone help? You can see the copied requests and the data and we already load data but you just got the new data (after system copy).

You have two ways to nail this issue
1. Use transaction SE38 to run the "SAP_FACTVIEWS_RECREATE" ABAP report.This report creates "factviews" for all InfoCubes in the system, in case these are not available.This is the fastest method.
2. Reactivate the affected InfoCube.This may take a long time if the InfoCubes have already been filled.In this case, you should switch to option 1.

Hi,
The field name of profit center in table MARC is MARC-PRCTR, maybe you should increase the width of output list in the selection screen when you use data browser of table; or from menu Settings>List Format>Choose Fields, then select field PRCTR to display, that will be okay!

How to update a custom field of MARC table using BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEREPLICA

I want to update a custom field (Appended field) of MARC table using BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEREPLICA. Please help me in this issue. I cannot use BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEDATA as this updated the MARC table record by record. I have to update bulk records at a time.

Use the Documentation given for struture in BAPI docuemntation...
For loading data into custom fields of MARC use the structure - BAPI_TE_MARC.
First, structures BAPI_TE_<NAME> (<NAME> = MARA, MARC, MARD, MBEW, MLGN, MLGT, MVKE, MARM, MAKT) and the appropriate check structures BAPI_TE_<NAME> (<NAME> = MARAX, for example) have to be extended by the customer to include the required fields. The structures that are delivered as standard only contain the relevant key fields. When new fields are added to this structure, you should ensure that a field has the same name as the field in the database table. Furthermore, the fields in the structures BAPI_TE_<NAME> can only be CHARACTER fields. Data element BAPIUPDATE is to be used for the fields in the check structure (exception to this: key fields.)
Parameters EXTENSIONIN and EXTENSIONINX are used for transferring data to the method. Field STRUCTURE contains the name of the structure (for example, BAPI_TE_MARA or BAPI_TE_MARAX). This names is used to identify the work area (for example, WA_BAPI_TE_MARA or WA_BAPI_TE_MARAX) to which the data is transferred. The remaining fields in parameters EXTENSIONIN or EXTENSIONINX contain data for the key fields (for example, the material number) and the data for customer-specific fields. The number of characters reserved in both parameters for the contents of the customer-specific fields must match the number of characters for the relevant field in the work area. If the number of required characters is less, the remaining characters are left blank. Only when all characters have been filled can the contact for an additional field be transferred. Bear in mind that only data for which an appropriate indicator has been set in the work area can be updated to the database.

Moving data between tables (how to find out if the 2nd table is empty)

I have 2 tables, and I'm copying records from one table to another.

So far, everything works ok.
Here is my question: how do I get the number of records passed?
I mean, how do I know the number of rows in the 2nd table? (Remember that this number is variable, because it depends on how many rows I've inserted and deleted on the 2nd table).
I've tried to achieve that using a data store with a numeric field, but I couldn't find the way to increment/decrement the numeric field on data store, and insert/delete the row on table at the same time .
All I want is to find out if the 2nd table is empty or not.
Any ideas to solve this?

However the user can add twice or more times the same row... so the counter doesn't reflect the real number of rows in the 2nd table.
I've partially solved this also using a data store with a parameter called key_list, where I add (I mean, concatenate) the key field for the selected row.
So, if I have a table with 4 rows with key fields "key1", "key2", "key3", the parameter key_list would get "key1;key2;key3".
So far, it's ok. But when I remove a row previosly added.... I can't remove the key from the key_list parameter. (I mean, from 2nd table I choose to remove the "key2" row, but I don't know how also remove the key name from the key_list)
I hope be clearly enough.
Any help will be really appreciated and point-rewarded.

PS: is there any way of "mark" a row that has been added to the 2nd table? I mean, using (for example) a hidden boolean field named "added", that becomes true when the selected row is added to the 2nd table.

Which type of data should I choose in transfering the R/3 table to Sap BI 7

I am transfering the one ABAP TABLE with all the fields from sap r/3 to sap Bi 7.0 system.
I went to sap r/3 system and by using SBIW I clicked on maintain generic data sources and I am in confusion , which type of data I should opt for transfering the R/3 table into BI system.
a) Transactional
b) Texts
c) attributes.

I created a proxy to consume this service. When I test the proxy directly I get the correct result displayed as XML (the response). When I try to call the service over ABAP code (use the proxy in a report), I've the problem that the complex-type table is empty. The simple type value is correctly filled.
Does anyone have an idea which could be the problem? I guess the mapping of the XML response in the DDIC-types isn't working correctly, but I've no idea why.

I solved the problem "accidentally": The name of the Webservice was to long! Changing the name from "EdilogUserManagementWebservice" to "UserManagement" did the trick.
This is probably due to the restricted fieldlength of ABAP-programnames.

What is the best method to Coppy all MARA Stawn fields to the MARC Stawn field.

Table BWFI_AEDAT empty?

Hi Guru's,
I am loading DS 0FI_AP_4 into our BI7 system. However, I notice that even after running an init load and then a delta the next day, that the BWFI_AEDAT table is empty.
I perhaps do not understand the purpose of entries in this table? I thought it was to store all rows already transferred via the delta load (for use in a repeat delta if required) if the corresponding date was still available in the BWOM2_TIMEST table for this DS? And also for failed rows requested on a prior delta request?
If not, is there any config I need to do to enable entries to get written into this table? Our BI system is fairly new and perhaps not fully set up, so maybe we still need to do some config settings?...

Both 0FI_AP_4 and 0FI_AR_4 need to be run only after running 0FI_GL_4.
Did you run 0FI_GL_4 first?

You can also use DataSources 0FI_AR_4, 0FI_AP_4 and 0FI_TX_4 separately without 0FI_GL_4. The DataSources can then be used independently of one another (see note 551044).

As soon as DataSource 0FI_GL_4 has been loaded, it is the leading DataSource with regard to accruals, such as the time and date (CPU date) by which extraction should be carried out.
From the transition of the data requirements in Delta-Init-Modus to Delta operation therefore, the data requirement in Delta mode 0FI_GL_4 should take place first.
Connecting the DataSources in delta operation helps to ensure consistent extraction of FI data. Consistency must be ensured using the Init selection criteria.

Update Z field in MARC table by MM02

i have some Z fields in MARC table,
it,s showsin MM01 MM02 and MM03 Tx.
When I change the values of any of this fields they dont save the change in the DDBB.
this fields are included in MARC with Append structure.
How can i Update it,

If your custom fields are there on the screen (MM01/02/03) and they are appended in some structure in MARC table, the values should flow from screen-to-table and vice-versa.
If you want these fields to be populated automatically, you may have to write some code in user-exit or BAPI extension while creating the materials.
In the user-exit, you may have to write a code like this ..so that these fields remain uneditable while calling MM03 (display only)

Table NHPRPS empty

Dear Experts,
We have a Z cost report, which in the selection field, the Project Definition can be selected and executed, but when executing, there is an error message that says "project definition does not exist. But it does.
After debugging and reviewing the tables, I can see that there is a table NHPRPS which is in the code. When reviewing that table, it is empty. There is nothing, but the table is standard SAP.
After going to the customizing, I cannot see anywhere where this table can be activated.
Any ideas on how can table NHPRPS can be activated?

Hi,
the table "NHPRPS" is related to the archival of WBSE.
How your Zee report needs some input from this table fields? Cross check the logic again.
If you are sure that the zee report is trying to get inputs for wbse to fetch cost related data from this table then the logic is wrong.
